65About us: The Active Community Initiative, launched by activists of the Respublika Institute after the Euromaidan (2014), focused on activating and involving Ukrainians in the decision-making process. The goal for 2025 is to activate and involve at least 1% of citizens in decision-making and promoting reforms in Ukraine on a systematic basis for the well-being of Ukrainian communities. Today we work in 30 communities in Ukraine.

Northern Oblasts
Kyiv
In Warsaw, Kyivpride is holding a “March for Peace and Freedom against Russian aggression.” The Tenth Anniversary Equality March in Kyiv cannot be held in Ukraine due to the war.
Since the beginning of the non-technical inspection of recreation areas near the water on the territory of Kyiv, 32 parks and squares with an actual area of 252.92 hectares have been inspected. But the bathing season is not officially opened in Kyiv. The list where bathing is forbidden was published on the website of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
Kyiv Oblast
In the Kyiv Oblast, the curfew will operate daily from 23:00 to 05:00. During the day, 319 explosive devices were neutralized in the region. A total of 45,650 explosive devices were found and neutralized in the Oblast.
In Vyshhorod, Mykola Boyko, Deputy Head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, together with Oleksiy Danchyn, Head of the Vyshhorod District State Administration, held a meeting with representatives of mobile operators. The meeting was held to discuss the plan for the restoration and installation of mobile coverage in some settlements of this community. In particular, the Ivanovo and Polissya communities lack communication and mobile Internet due to damage to equipment due to military aggression. The deputy head of the Kyiv regional military administration also held an online meeting with heads of local communities in Bucha, Brovary, Vyshhorod and Fastiv districts to analyze inspections of facilities damaged by russian military aggression.
Zhytomyr Oblast
At 4 a.m., the enemy again launched missile strikes on the Zhytomyr Oblast. About 3 missiles were fired. Currently, there is information about minor damage to military infrastructure. One soldier was killed and one was wounded.
Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 10 missiles fired by the enemy from belarus.They continue to be ready to fight back in the event of an attack from the territory of belarus.
The mayor recorded a video message for Zhytomyr residents about the shelling of military facilities and noted not to disseminate information, photos and videos of any explosions, but to go down to the shelter during the air alert.
People are discussing the rocket attacks and believe that this is due to the influx of Western weapons.
Today, the coordinators of AUI Active Community were engaged in volunteering and helping people who lost their homes due to shelling by the russian army.
Chernihiv Oblast
The village of Desna, where the 169th training center named after Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the Land Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces operates, has been hit by another rocket attack.
Three times during the night, the russians fired on the border settlements of Chernihiv Oblast. At around 10 pm, two explosions were heard in the area near the Gremyach checkpoint. Next, border guards recorded one explosion in the direction of the russian village of Vitaml and ten parishes in the direction of the russian village of Pogar. Russian tanker Mikhail Kulikov is on trial in Chernihiv. He is accused of firing from a tank at a new building near Chernihiv on February 26. No one was killed or injured then, and the tank carrying Kulikov and the commander of his battalion, Leonid Shchetkin, was lined up by the Ukrainian military. Shchetkina has already been exchanged, and Kulikov has appeared before the Ukrainian judiciary.
The flag of Chernihiv Oblast signed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was sold at a joint auction of the Public with the charity fund “This is my city” for 200 thousand hryvnias.
Sumy Oblast
Yesterday at about 6 pm the russians fired twice at the Khotyn community from artillery. 4 arrivals from ACS and about 10 – from jet fire systems. There are no casualties or damage.
Two russian helicopters fired on the border of Sumy Oblast. Helicopters took off from R
russia and launched 6 unguided missiles on the territory of the Krasnopil community. There were no previous casualties as a result of the shelling.There is no information about the loss of the local population. Today at about 11 am explosives technicians of the State Emergency Service in Sumy and the Bezdryk district were working. Restoration works continue in the region. Repairs to the bridge in the Lebedyn community have begun. The bridge became unfit for traffic after the war, due to the russian invasion. The cost of the works will be 32.5 million hryvnias.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
The russian occupiers continue to shell Kharkiv and the Kharkiv Oblast with artillery and MLRS. During the past 24 hours, the enemy fired missiles at Kyiv and Nemyshlyany districts of Kharkiv. Damaged private households, 9th and 10th floors of an office building in the city center. On the territory of the region, the enemy of the past day fired at Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Izium and Chuhuiv Raion. Destroyed houses, outbuildings, several fires, dead and injured.
As a result of the russian shelling, according to the regional Emergency Medical Center, 5 civilians were injured in the Izium Raion, and a 59-year-old woman died. In the city of Chuguiv two wounded, in the Chuguiv area the paramedic of emergency medical care was wounded. One person was injured in Kharkiv Oblast.
Active fighting continues on the line of contact. In the Kharkiv direction, the russians tried to storm the village of Udy, near the border with russia. Our defenders repulsed the assault and forced the enemy to retreat with losses.
In the area of Izium, the enemy is advancing in the direction of Dovgenky and Dolyna. Ukraine’s defense forces are holding their ground.
Donetsk Oblast
The shelling along the entire front line does not stop.
Eight times a night, the russians fired on the Maryina community: a house in Krasnohorivka was damaged, and in Maryinka and Novomykhailivka there were no injuries or casualties.
In Avdiivka, a medical facility and the central part of the city came under russian fire. According to preliminary information, there are no victims.
In the Selydiv community, the russians fired on Ukrainsk. There are no victims, the number of destruction is specified. In the Kurakhiv community, the russians aimed at the local thermal power plant, but the operation was not affected by the damage.
An agricultural enterprise in Ivanivka was destroyed in the Hrodivka community. There were no casualties.
Units from the 5th All-Military Army are occupying the offensive in the direction of Pylypchatyne – Pokrovske, the fighting continues. In the direction of Rota – Vershina the enemy advanced one kilometer.
Since the beginning of the russian invasion of Ukraine, 531 civilians have been killed and 1,366 wounded in shelling and bombing in the Donetsk Oblast.
On June 24, russians killed five civilians in the Donetsk Oblast: two in Raigorodok, two in the Old Caravan, and one in Kostiantynivka. 4 more people were injured today.
Kramatorsk
No hostile actions were recorded in the city.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine and the local Territorial Defense units are preparing to meet the enemy.
The city authorities report on repair works on the electricity and water supply networks. The situation remains quite alarming. After the retreat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Severodonetsk, the threat of approaching the front line to Kramatorsk is growing.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy exerts systematic fire along the line of contact in order to restrain the actions of Ukrainian troops and prevent their transfer to other directions.
The occupiers fired on the settlements for a day, there were dead and wounded. The cities of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove and Ukrainsk were under russian fire.
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed the enemy. Representatives of the local Territorial Defense unit patrolled the Pokrovsk community.
The past day in the Pokrovsk community was relatively calm. No facts of casualties or destruction as a result of shelling in the community were recorded.
Pokrovsk Raion received another humanitarian aid from Great Britain. Volunteers and local athletes helped to unload the humanitarian aid.
The charity organization “Kharkiv Sich” delivered to Pokrovsk 30 boxes of baby food, which will be available to IDPs, low-income and large families.
Bakhmut
As a result of the night shelling of Bakhmut, one person was killed and one person was injured.
According to preliminary information, about one and a half dozen houses in the private building area were damaged by russian shells.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers stopped the onslaught of enemy infantry in the direction of Volodymyrivka – Pokrovske. After the fire in response, the enemy withdrew.
Luhansk Oblast
The enemy is attacking Lysychansk from the south.
The lives of two children from Maloryazantsevo are being saved in Dnipro. All three members of the family were hospitalized by doctors at the Dnipropetrovsk Children’s Oblast Hospital.
On June 24, the russians attacked the Severodonetsk industrial zone, tried to enter Lysychansk from the south and to blockade the city. An air strike was launched in Lysychansk. Severodonetsk suffered from artillery. In particular, the russians fired on the villages of Synetsky and Pavlograd, the territory of the Severodonetsk association “Azot” and “Skloplastyka”. The settlements of Vovchoyarivka, Bilohorivka and Loskutivka were also shelled.
In the areas of Metelkino, Sirotyn and Voronov, the russian army is carrying out assault operations in order to drive Ukrainian military units out of these areas.
Southern Oblasts
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
During the past 24hrs, the russian military has fired at 44 positions of Ukrainian defenders along the entire line of contact.
The Ukrainian military launched an airstrike on the enemy’s manpower and equipment. The losses of the occupiers are being clarified.
In Melitopol, representatives of the russian federation, using propaganda, are trying to issue russian passports to local residents. Entrepreneurs and retirees are under the most pressure. The mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov reports about it.
It became known that last night the Kushugum community was shelled from occupied Vasylivka. This was announced by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh:
“The occupiers placed weapons on the streets of the occupied city at night and fired from there. In addition, the Russians fired on the houses of civilians”.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Yesterday, the occupiers fired again at the Kryvyi Rih Raion, the village of Velyka Kostromka. Buildings were damaged and power lines were cut off. At 9 p.m., Zelenodolsk was shelled, and a woman was injured.
At night there was an explosion in the town of Pidhorodne, near Dnipro.
Metallurgical plant “Kametstal” in Kamyanske is closing production and transferring workers to 2/3 of wages, because it is not possible to export products through ports.
In the city of Pokrov, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a “Mother Club” was opened for local children and IDPs. This is a place for recreation and entertainment. All entertainment programs take place in the city park. Many children gather here every time. Recently, guests of the community who fled the war also come here.
Kirovohrad Oblast
Kropyvnytskyi
Air alarms were declared in the oblast due to the threat of missile strikes. In general, the situation in the community is calm and controlled.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine guarded the borders of the region and military facilities. The fighters of the local Territorial Defense unit conducted tactical training and patrolled the city.
The official website of the Olexandria City Council reports that IDPs who did not receive food kits from World Central Kitchen on June 24 may receive them on Monday, June 27. The products will be handed out at the Humanitarian Center in Olexandria at 9 Pershotravneva Street until noon.
A photo session “With Ukraine in the heart” dedicated to the Constitution Day of Ukraine took place in the creative space “Pectoral” of the Oblast Folk Art Center. In a specially created ethno-photo zone, not only residents of Kropyvnytskyi were photographed, but also families of migrants from Dnipro, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk.
The coordinator of AUI “Active Community” took part in weaving camouflage nets.
Poltava Oblast
The International Solidarity Fund (Republic of Poland) in partnership with BGK (Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego) and the European Commission procures and delivers humanitarian aid to local communities and local governments that are victims of russian aggression against Ukraine and help internally displaced persons.
Under the project, the Municipal Organization “Institute of Urban Development” of the Poltava City Council received: 13 electric generators, 13 defibrillators, 2600 kilograms of cereals, 1280 kilograms of pasta, 1625 kilograms of flour, 2000 kilograms of sugar, 2280 canned meat. Baby food, tourniquets, injection needles, drip systems, and other medical and personal care products were also received.
Today Poltava Mayor Oleksandr Mamai and Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Poltava City Council Ihor Kyslov congratulated Poltava athletes and coaches who together with other Ukrainians won the XXIV Deaflympics, which took place in Caxias do Sul, Brazil.
Three young Poltava residents rescued a cat from the pond and are looking for its owners. A few days ago, Artem, Roman and Maxim noticed an animal in the reeds on the city pond, and Maxim went to save it from there. The boys say the cat was exhausted and most likely had hypothermia. It is currently in a veterinary hospital. Volunteers saw a post about young men and decided to thank the brave. Yesterday, together with law enforcement officers, they presented the boys with thank you notes and a certificate for going to the quest room.
The tram of the AUI “Active Community” in Poltava held an art therapy event for the families of internally displaced persons who moved to the city. Such an event is the best way to minimize the stress of war.
Vinnytsia Oblast
Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk Raion
Air alarms were heard during the day.
The past day in the Khmilnyk community was peaceful.
The Khmilnyk hospital performed the first operation by hysteroscopy.
Representatives of the international medical organization “Doctors Without Borders” met today with the Secretary of the Koziatyn City Council of Khmilnyk Raion to establish ways of cooperation.
Western Oblasts
Lviv Oblast
At 4 am this morning, a military facility in the Yavoriv region was hit by a missile. According to preliminary information, the West Air Command managed to shoot down two missiles. Four hit the target.
