Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn said that he was establishing cooperation with new Polish cities that could become Irpin’s twin cities. Kharkiv Oblast
The enemy continues shelling the civilian population in the border areas of the Kharkiv Oblast. Over the past day, settlements in the Chuhuiv and Kupiansk raions came under occupiers’ fire.
This morning, the enemy once again shelled Kupiansk. A transport infrastructure facility was damaged. A fire broke out.
Yesterday, after 11 p.m., enemy shelling of Kupiansk destroyed at least five houses and outbuildings, and caused fires. A 65-year-old man died because of a shell hitting his house.
Also, as a result of enemy shelling of Kupiansk, the buildings of an educational institution and a maternity hospital were damaged.
Mine clearance continues in the oblast. Over the past day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service neutralized 37 explosive devices.
Donetsk Oblast
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
In the east of the Pokrovsk Raion, Avdiivka was subjected to two massive artillery attacks at night and Grad MLRS bombardment in the morning. The russians hit residential areas and the territory of an enterprise. In Kurakhove, one person was wounded and 9 houses were damaged. Another 3 houses and a school were damaged in Kurakhivka. A man was wounded in Lastochkyne of the Ocheretyne community.
The towns of Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, the settlement of Kurakhivka, and the villages of Karlivka and Krasnohorivka were under fire, reports the communication department of the police of the Donetsk Oblast.
Russian occupiers released a photo from the occupied Maryinka in the Donetsk Oblast, which was completely destroyed during the war. Not a single surviving building remained there, and all residents have evacuated. As of early November, there were no civilians left in Maryinka. The front line now runs through the town. Before the full-scale invasion, about 10,000 people lived in Maryinka.
At 6:42 a.m. today, russian troops shelled the Pokrovsk community. The village of Hryshyne in the Pokrovsk community was hit by the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. The commission documented damage to 10 private houses. The windows, roofs and fences of the houses were damaged.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
In the Bakhmut direction, russian soldiers are trying to surround Bakhmut. Over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers repelled numerous attacks near the populated areas of the Donetsk Oblast: Vasiukivka, Zaliznianske, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske and Bakhmut.

Mariupol
The occupiers failed the heating season in Mariupol, but for a propaganda picture they laid pipes and installed mobile boiler houses. The pipes were not even insulated, and the boiler room was connected to a dilapidated house, which still has no windows.
Luhansk Oblast
The occupiers are transferring both manpower and equipment to Luhansk Oblast. However, the occupiers cannot launch a large-scale offensive so far due to the weather. This was reported by Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political observer of the “Information Resistance” group.

Mykolaiv Oblast
On March 4, the enemy hit the water area of the Ochakiv community with artillery. There were no casualties.

Odesa Oblast
There is still a danger of rocket attacks. The day passed quite calmly. The situation is tense, but under control.
Due to emergency technical works carried out by the utility company “Heat Supply of the City of Odesa”, there is no heat supply in the city center today. Completion of the works is planned by 8:00 p.m.
Kherson Oblast
During the day, March 4, russian troops shelled Kherson Oblast 78 times, Kherson – 11 times. Russian projectiles hit private, multi-apartment buildings and the territory of the enterprise. One person died, three were injured.
In the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson Oblast, russian troops are using local residents as “human shields”. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In order to shoot down means of destruction intended for military facilities, the occupying forces place their anti-aircraft weapons among the residential quarters of the city. According to the General Staff, during the past day, the Russian army fired artillery at Beryslav, Olhivka, Lvove, Mykilske, Dniprovske and the city of Kherson.
In the afternoon of March 5, russian troops fired mortars at the village of Poniativka, Dariivka community, Kherson Oblast. The enemy hit the house where the local residents were. According to preliminary information from the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, three people died.
Central oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
The russian military shelled the Chervonohrihorivsk community with multiple rocket launchers. A 68-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman died being hit by shells in the middle of the street. A gas station, 11 private houses, a five-story building, three outbuildings, a gas pipeline and electricity networks were mutilated. Poultry also died. A hotel was affected in Nikopol.
Yana Rykhlitska, a medic of the 93rd Dnipro brigade “Kholodny Yar”, died near Bakhmut while evacuating the wounded. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia, Yana was actively engaged in volunteering, and then in May 2022 she went to serve as a paramedic at the front. Before the full-scale invasion of the occupiers, she worked in an IT company. The doctor will be buried in her native Vinnytsia. Eternal glory to the Heroine!
For almost a year, police officers of the Pischane community have been delivering humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian military. Residents of the community gather on their own initiative, weave nets, and knit warm things. All winter, the women made socks and rugs, baked cookies, made stew, and sewed helmet covers. Policemen delivered help to the front line.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Kamianets-Podilskyi
On March 5, the community said goodbye to 24-year-old Denys Dubchak. He died in the direction of Bakhmut as a result of mortar shelling. He defended the sovereignty of Ukraine as a border guard.
Sergeant Denys Dmetretskyi, originally from the village of Ulianivka of the Kamianets-Podilskyi Raion, was awarded the Order of Courage III class posthumously. He died on May 16, 2022 near the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk Oblast, covering his comrades from enemy fire.
Zakarpattia Oblast
In Zakarpattia, the borders will be patrolled with the involvement of manned and unmanned aircraft. Operational and preventive measures “March-2023” will be carried out in three stages. The main efforts will be focused on the Ukrainian-Romanian section of the border, where currently the highest activation is observed, in particular smuggling attempts.
