Northern Oblasts
Kyiv
In the “Eternal Glory” park, unknown persons poured paint on the chests of Soviet partisans and wrote “executioner”, “occupant”, “chekist” on them.
Kyiv Oblast
The head of KOMA, Ruslan Kravechenko, took control of the restoration of the destroyed five-story building in Irpin. This is one of the houses destroyed by the russian invaders.
Today, explosive devices were detonated in Obukhiv raion.
Chernihiv Oblast
On June 29, the russians shelled the border areas of Chernihiv Oblast. The Semenivka community came under fire. Three explosions were recorded near the village of Mykolaivka and three near the village of Tymonovichi.
Out of 2,500 checked shelters in Chernihiv Oblast, 314 were closed and 614 unfit for use.
Sumy Oblast
During the day, June 28, the russian military fired mortars and artillery at four communities in the Sumy Oblast. A total of 36 explosions were recorded in the region during the day.
During the night and morning of June 29, the russian military shelled Znob-Novgorod, Yunakive and Seredina-Buda communities of Sumy Oblast. 13 explosions were recorded. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or damage.
The Sumy direction remains the most dangerous in the Northern operational zone, said the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev. He called on residents of the border regions of Sumy Oblast to evacuate.
Eastern Oblast
Kharkiv Oblast
Last night, the enemy launched a missile attack from the S-300 air defense system on the city of Chuguiv. Recorded hits on the ground. Nearby residential buildings and cars were damaged. Previously, there were no casualties.
During the past day, the russian occupiers shelled the front-line and border settlements in the Kharkiv, Chuguiv, Izyum and Kupyansk raions of the Oblast.
Private residential buildings were damaged as a result of shelling from the “Uragan” anti-aircraft missile system in the village of Kurylivka, Kupyansk raion. A 70-year-old woman was injured. Hospitalized in serious condition.
Three civilian men, aged 45, 48, and 57, died in the village of Vovchanski Khutori, Chuguyiv Raion.
A private house and farm buildings were damaged in the village of Kolodyazne, Kupyansk raion.
The building of the pumping station was damaged as a result of the shelling of the village of Zeleny Gay of the Izyum raion.
Demining works are ongoing. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service neutralized 93 explosive objects.
Donetsk Oblast
On June 28, the russian military shelled 11 settlements in the Donetsk Oblast, killing one person and injuring two others.
Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,586 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,874. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion
The rescue operations at the site of the missile strike in Kramatorsk have been completed. A total of 12 people, including 3 children, died as a result of the attack. 60 people were injured, including an 8-month-old baby. Rescuers managed to pull out 11 victims from under the rubble. 20 people applied for psychological help. 111 tons of construction debris were dismantled on site.
In the Lysychansk direction, 1 person died in Serebryanka of the Siverske community — 3 houses were damaged. A house was destroyed in Terny, Lyman community, and 4 more were damaged.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion
In the Donetsk direction, in the middle of the night, the Kurakhove community was shelled, and there were no casualties.
On June 28, two people were injured as a result of shelling by the russian military in the Shevchenko village of the Pokrovsk community: one injured person was hospitalized in a moderate condition, the other person was frightened. Electricians had to restore power lines. In damaged buildings, utility workers replace slate and cover windows with OSB plates.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion
In Zalizne, two apartment buildings and a private house, a bank building were damaged by shelling, and electricity was cut off.
From Lyman to Bakhmut direction, the russian army moved an airborne regiment to reinforce its army. During June 28, the russian military fired more than 800 times in these two directions.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the Ukrainian military intercepted the operational initiative and advanced 1,200 meters in the direction of Klishchiyivka, and 1,500 meters in the direction of Kurdyumivka.
Southern Oblasts
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
During the past day, June 28, the russian military shelled 18 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. A 62-year-old woman was injured during the artillery shelling of Orikhiv. And at night, the russian military launched a missile strike on the outskirts of the Oblast center. In total, over the past day, the russians shelled the Zaporizhzhia Oblast 71 times.
Explosives detonated in the Komunarsky district of Zaporizhzhia. A 7-year-old boy was injured, he was taken to the hospital.
After the murder of two teenagers in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk, the russians began to intensively check the phones of teenagers in Melitopol. In particular, they check whether there are subscriptions to Ukrainian media and official channels, and parents are called to the commandant’s office and threatened with reprisals.
Defense forces of Ukraine advanced 1,300 m in the Berdyansk direction.
Today in Zaporizhzhia and the Oblast, command and staff exercises with the management bodies and civil defense forces of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast began. The legend is the detonation of Zaporizhzhia NPP. Residents received a notification on their phones about the emergence of an emergency situation – «Radiation hazard».
As of today, the water level in the Zaporizhzhia NPP cooling pond remains stable at 16.58 m.
Odesa Oblast
In Odesa, volunteers from Vinnytsia handed over 12 buggies, which they made from old “Zhiguli” cars and metal, for the military operational command «South». It took about two months to make them.
Odesa Oblast took the third place among the Oblasts of Ukraine in terms of the number of complaints about violations of the language law. Thus, since the beginning of 2023, 238 complaints have been filed in the Oblast. This is 52% more than for the full year of 2021.
Kherson Oblast
Over the past day, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 64 times. It fired 12 shells over Kherson. Three people were injured.
In the morning, the russian military shelled the Bilozerka community in the Kherson Oblast with artillery. As a result, a 71-year-old woman died. A 20-year-old boy was injured. He has a contusion and an injury to his face. Another woman was hospitalized. At least twelve residential buildings were damaged in Bilozerka as a result of enemy strikes.
This afternoon, the russian army shelled the residential quarters of Kherson. Houses, a medical facility, an official car, as well as a school where the Point of Invincibility was located came under fire. Two men were injured. They were hospitalized with burns to their arms, legs and face.
Two residents of the Kherson Oblast will be tried for collaborationism. They participated in the organization and holding of a pseudo-referendum in the village of Shevchenko, Skadovsk raion. The man set up a polling station in the premises of the village council and involved local residents in the work. And the woman assumed the position of the so-called «member of the territorial election commission». She issued «ballots» and counted people’s votes.
As of the morning of June 29, in the Kherson Oblast on the right bank of the Dnipro, one settlement remains flooded and 17 remain in the temporarily occupied territory. Over the past 24 hours, rescuers have pumped out 66,500 tons of water, and since the beginning of the work, more than 439,000 tons.
Mykolayiv Oblast
Yesterday, June 28, the enemy fired artillery at the water area of the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.
During the day, the town of Ochakiv of the Ochakiv community was shelled. There are no casualties.
Also, on June 28, enemy strikes were recorded in the settlement of the Kutsurub community. Hitting in an open area. There were no damages or injuries.
In Mykolayiv, Pervomaisk, Bashtanka and Voznesensk raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
On the afternoon of June 28, russian troops shelled Nikopol Raion twice. They fired with heavy artillery at Nikopol and the community of Myrivka. No one was killed or injured.
On the night of June 29, the russian army attacked the Chervonohryhorivka community of Nikopol Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The consequences are being clarified. No one was injured or killed.
On June 29 and 30, large-scale exercises are held in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to practice an emergency algorithm for the Zaporizhzhia NPP. The emphasis will be on the evacuation plan.
Kirovohrad Oblast
Since the beginning of russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Kirovohrad Oblast has suffered 50 missile and drone attacks, and more than 150 civilian facilities and the region’s energy infrastructure have been damaged.
The Kropyvnytskyi City Council has established an Entrepreneurship Support Center. It is expected to become a support for a relocated business or startup. This will create new jobs.
Poltava Oblast
The parishioners of the Holy Trinity Church in Novi Sanzhary initiated a meeting to discuss the parish’s transfer to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
In the Poltava Oblast, 50 settlements need to be renamed. Their names do not meet the standards of the Ukrainian language and are a legacy of Ukraine’s colonial past. For 31 villages in the region, it is recommended to justify the current names or propose new ones.
Western Oblasts
Chernivtsi Oblast
In accordance with the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, soldiers from Bukovyna were awarded: Dmytro Tudan was awarded the honorary “Golden Cross” badge, Volodymyr Hasiuk and Taras Melenchuk were awarded the “Silver Cross” badges.
Memorial plaques to the two fallen defenders were unveiled in the community of Vanchykovets. Memorial plaques in honor of Ivan Rotar and Ivan Alupoi were placed on the facade of a lyceum in the village of Kostychany.
An evacuation train arrived in Bukovyna from the hotspots of the east and managed to evacuate 8 people from Zaporizhzhia Oblast. 6 of them are bedridden. These are elderly people who were left homeless.
Another off-road vehicle was sent from the Sokyriany territorial community to the defenders of Ukraine: Ford Ranger will help the soldiers in the Bakhmut sector.
From the beginning of 2019 to the present, meetings of citizens who decided to change their canonical subordination from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine have been held in 28 settlements of the Chernivtsi region.
An exhibition of artists from the Donetsk Oblast opened in the Chernivtsi Regional Art Museum. Eleven artists who were forced to leave their homes because of the war presented more than 60 paintings and graphic works.
Zakarpattia Oblast
Uzhhorod is preparing to establish partnerships with the Polish city of Lublin. The head of the Zakarpattia Regional Council held a working meeting with representatives of the Uzhhorod City Council. They are currently discussing the possibility of developing and implementing a joint cross-border project under the Poland-Ukraine program to purchase eco-friendly electric buses for Uzhhorod with European funds.
About 70,000 hryvnias were raised in Uzhhorod during a bike ride on the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine. In addition, a local philanthropist will purchase an ambulance for the Ukrainian military. All the money raised will be transferred to the Movement to Support Transcarpathian Soldiers.
A conversation club called “We Speak Ukrainian” has been operating at the Potushniak Zakarpattia Regional Universal Scientific Library in Uzhhorod for more than 8 months. It helps people overcome the language barrier, improve their knowledge or master their native Ukrainian.
