Northern oblasts
Kyiv
The World Monuments Fund will restore the glass dome of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv, which suffered a massive russian attack in October 2022. The team will scan the building to create a three-dimensional visualization of the dome. They will also repair the damaged steel structural elements.
In Kyiv, IDPs are requested to take an online survey to help them better adapt to the city. All answers will be anonymous. The survey is organized by the Department of Social and Veteran Policy of the Kyiv City State Administration.
The screens of the capital’s Gulliver shopping center will every night honor the memory of three soldiers killed during the russian invasion. The videos will be changed once a week.
The Kyiv bookstore Siaivo Knyhy will host an exhibition of paintings created by the wives of fallen soldiers. This is a charity project intended for psychological rehabilitation of women.
Kyiv Oblast
In Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka, a hostel for 19 families who lost their homes as a result of the russian invasion is being prepared for opening. It will have a separate coworking space, playrooms for children, and storage rooms for belongings. The donor of the project is the Polish company Dom Development.
Young Bucha residents donated kamikaze drones to the front line. The new “birds” were delivered to a graduate of Bucha Lyceum No. 4, who is currently performing combat missions in the Bakhmut sector.
The funds for the new devices were raised by pupils of Bucha kindergarten No. 1 and students of Bucha lyceum No. 4 during the charity fairs “Donate a Kamikaze Drone to the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
Zhytomyr Oblast
In Zhytomyr, a fan club called “Friends of Veterans” was established at the center for rehabilitation and socialization of veterans called “Those Who Came Through the Fire” to help veterans of the russo-Ukrainian war reintegrate into civilian life.
Chernihiv Oblast
Troops of the russian federation shelled the border community of Snovsk in Chernihiv region with a mortar.
As of January 19, 3.5 thousand people have left the 20-kilometer border zone of the Chernihiv Oblast. More than 30 thousand residents still remain there. Voluntary evacuations are currently underway in the oblast, and public awareness campaigns are conducted. In particular, the five-kilometer zone closest to the border is considered the most dangerous. There are still 1.5 thousand people living there, and the same number have left.
Sumy Oblast
During the day of January 18, the russian army attacked the Sumy Oblast twice. Eight explosions were recorded.
At night, the russian military shelled three communities in the Sumy Oblast with mortars.
Due to bad weather in the Sumy Oblast, more than 2,500 consumers in 35 settlements remained without electricity.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
20 settlements in the Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, and Kupiansk raions were shelled by russian artillery and mortars.
The russian troops intensified their attacks in the Kupiansk sector: the General Staff reported about 18 repulsed russian attacks near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Tabaivka, and Berestove. In the Kharkiv Oblast, six settlements came under air strikes over the past day.
A 53-year-old man was killed when he tripped an unknown explosive device in Donets, Izium Raion.
Oleksandr Syrskyi once again visited military units fighting in the Kupiansk sector.
Donetsk Oblast
Over the past day, four settlements came under shelling: the towns of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Chasiv Yar, and Novoselivka Persha. Seven residential buildings and a power line were damaged. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.
On January 18, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 88 Russian attacks in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Shakhtarsk, and Maryinka sectors.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
Yesterday, the occupiers carried out a series of air strikes in Avdiivka. Six apartment buildings and a private house were ruined.
Today at 3 am russians fired a missile on Myrnohrad. 10 civilian structures were damaged, including 7 apartment buildings, an administrative building, a shop, and power lines.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
The Armed Forces of Ukraine keep all positions in the Bakhmut direction. The other day, the Ukrainian military repelled the assault of the russian army on Ivanovsk and destroyed russian equipment worth more than 10 million dollars.
Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion
A resident of Vuhledar, a former head of one of the departments of the Donetsk regional customs, faces life imprisonment. He is suspected of directing russian S-300s to the positions of the Armed Forces near Vuhledar.
Mariupol
The occupiers are creating military training bases on the coast of the Sea of Azov closer to Mariupol. Also, on January 18, the movement of military trucks with ammunition was recorded in the city.
Southern oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast
During January 18 and on the night of January 19, russian troops struck the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities of the Mykolaiv Oblast. Populations were shelled by artillery and attacked by russian FPV drones.
20 monuments to fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be erected in the Mykolaiv Oblast and Yuzhnoukrainsk.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
The enemy made 85 strikes on 20 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Seven reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings. No casualties.
Five attacks of the russian army west of Verbove and Robotyne of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast were repulsed by the Defense Forces yesterday, January 18.
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia reported the suspicion to a court guard, a pensioner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who, according to the investigation, justified russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine on social networks.
Odessa Oblast
In Odesa, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation handed over 412 wagons with metal products belonging to a company from Belarus to the military. During the pre-trial investigation, 26,000 tons of metal products worth over 61 million dollars were found on the territory of the seaport. From now on, the property of the aggressor country will serve the soldiers of the Armed Forces.
Kherson Oblast
As a result of shelling in the Kherson Oblast, three people were injured. Yesterday, russian troops shelled the oblast 67 times. They hit residential neighborhoods and critical infrastructure facilities.

In the suburbs of Kherson, the russian military dropped explosives from a drone on the emergency crew of the Kherson Water Supply utility company. The emergency repair vehicle of the enterprise damaged. According to preliminary data, there are no injured workers.
russian troops attacked the Dnipro district of Kherson from the temporarily occupied left bank. A woman died in her own apartment. A 16-year-old boy also received shrapnel wounds.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Poltava Oblast
Another humanitarian aid from the Poltava regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine has arrived for hospitals, educational institutions and critical infrastructure facilities in the oblast. Ten generators were handed over to communities. This will allow them to work without interruption in case of a long power outage.
Vinnytsia Oblast
“The boys are fighting, and I have everything”: 73-year-old pensioner Petro Tkach gives UAH 500 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine every month from his pension. The man lives in the village of Skybyntsi, the Trostianets community. He lives with his son, who suffers from intellectual disability.
Western Oblasts
Volyn Oblast
Today, 11 schools in Lutsk were fakely “mined”. The warning letters to the law enforcement officers were sent in russian. None of the reports of “mining” have been confirmed.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Five fire trucks were handed over by volunteers from Germany to military firefighters and the state emergency service of Khmelnytskyi. All of them will help overcome the consequences of russian shelling.
Internally displaced persons and Ukrainian refugees in European countries will be taught tourism business. Representatives of the Khmelnytskyi National University and the public organization “Defense – Association of Volunteers” presented the joint project “INSPIRE”.
Kamianets-Podilskyi
On behalf of the community, the mayor handed over a DJI Mavic 3T quadcopter, an EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro charging station, and a telescopic mast for a total of over UAH 247,000 to Serhii Krainiak, a resident of Kamianets, who serves in one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Full-time education has begun at Khodorivtsi Lyceum. A new shelter for 126 places has been equipped here and a boiler room has been installed.
Chernivtsi Oblast
The blocking of traffic in front of the Romanian checkpoint “Vikova de Sus”, which borders the Ukrainian “Krasnoilsk”, has been stopped, the passage of transport continues as usual.
Zakarpattia Oblast
The recruitment of participants for the third training course at the Zakarpattia Center for Training the Population for National Resistance has begun. Applications can be submitted until February 18.
Natalia Husak, head of the National Health Service of Ukraine, is in the Zakarpattia Oblast on a working visit. The center of attention is the implementation of the state program “Affordable Medicines” in the region, which provides reimbursement to pharmacies for the cost of drugs dispensed to patients according to a prescription. In connection with the increase in the population in the Zakarpattia Oblast due to the arrival of IDPs, the need for the program has increased.
The international charitable organization “IOCC-Ukraine” has been conducting a humanitarian mission in the Zakarpattia Oblast for almost a year and a half. The partners take care of IDPs, renovation of the premises and material and technical base of medical facilities in the region. In the future, the organization plans to expand its activities, in particular, to support social entrepreneurship.
23 schools in the Zakarpattia Oblast provide daily meals to primary school students with the financial support of the UN World Food Program. The international organization reimburses institutions 30% of the costs of hot meals. More than UAH 1.2 million has already been allocated to such compensation
