Northern oblasts

Kyiv

The houses affected by russian missile attacks in December 2022 in the Solomianskyi district were equipped with generators. Currently, gas supply has not yet been restored, and oftentimes there is no electricity.

Thanks to the Israeli One Heart foundation and the Solomianski Kotyky charity foundation, generators were delivered to the residents of the houses on Dokuchaievska Street that were damaged by russians.

Kyiv Oblast

The American city of Albany will become a partner of Bucha and will contribute to the restoration of the city. This was announced by the mayor of the Ukrainian city, Anatoliy Fedoruk, during his trip to the United States, Ukrinform reports.

Zhytomyr Oblast

A resident of Berdychiv, Vadym Honcharuk, from the Azov battalion, fell in the fight near Bakhmut. The senior gunner of the grenade launcher section of the fire support platoon of the Special Forces assault battalion was killed on January 31.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive special seized equipment: four SUVs that a “philanthropist” from the Zhytomyr Oblast tried to sell. The court upheld the prosecutor’s position and issued a positive decision.

Students of the engineering and technology club from Malyn are developing a drone for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military sent a PDF drawing of the drone to the city center for scientific and technical creativity and asked them to develop a model of a reconnaissance UAV.

Chernihiv Oblast

Russian troops continue to shell the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast. On February 4, the communities of Horodnia and Snovsk came under fire. The military recorded 11 hits, probably from a 120-millimeter mortar, near the village of Senkivka in the Horodnia Raion. And in the area of the village of Kliusy of the Snovsk community, a russian drone was detected, from which two pieces of munition were dropped.

Sumy Oblast

Yesterday, russians shelled four border communities in the Sumy Oblast, namely Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Krasnopillia, and Nova Sloboda. The russians fired mortars at the Bilopillia community. They also shelled the Velyka Pysarivka community with mortars.

9 explosions were recorded in the Nova Sloboda community. Two private houses were damaged there. On the outskirts of one of the villages of the Krasnopillia community, russians dropped an explosive device from a drone.

Today, russians also shelled Seredyna-Buda with mortars.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

This morning, the enemy attacked Kharkiv with missiles. There were hits to residential buildings in the city center and the university. A fire broke out. Currently, five casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, the enemy fired artillery and mortars at the settlements of the Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv raions bordering the line of contact.

As a result of the shelling of Kupiansk, the administrative building of a medical institution and private residential houses were damaged.

In Vovchansk, the fire was mainly directed at private residential sector. Residential houses and outbuildings were damaged, and several fires broke out.

Donetsk Oblast

The russian federation is concentrating its efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlivka sectors.

On February 4, the russian occupation forces attacked the Donetsk Oblast 23 times. Ten settlements of the Donetsk Oblast were bombarded with missile systems, Grad MLRS, artillery, tanks, and mortars. As a result of the shelling, 19 civilian facilities were destroyed or damaged.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled occupiers’ attacks in the areas of the settlements of Verkhniokamianske, Blahodatne, Krasna Hora, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk Oblast.

On February 4, three people were reported killed by russians in Bakhmut, and one more person was killed in Yampil. Another 11 residents of the Donetsk Oblast were wounded.

Since the day of russia’s unleashing the full-scale war against Ukraine, the enemy troops have killed 1,350 civilians of the oblast, and wounded another 2,994. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is still unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Avdiivka direction, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka came under artillery fire once again.

In the east of the Pokrovsk Raion, there was a lot of noise in Kurakhovo. A shop was damaged by a direct hit, two apartment buildings and an enterprise building were also damaged.

In the morning, shelling took place in Soloviove of the Ocheretyne community and Avdiivka: two houses in Soloviove and the vicinity of the coke plant in Avdiivka were damaged.

In the city of Myrnograd of the Pokrovsk Raion, they said goodbye to the defender of Ukraine Oleg Kosulin, a soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine, who died in the war on January 28, 2023. He received severe injuries incompatible with life in the Luhansk Oblast. He was only 20 years old. 

The Selydove community of the Pokrovsk raion received humanitarian aid from charitable organizations. 960 humanitarian kits were distributed to families in difficult life circumstances. Volunteers also handed over four boxes of medical consumables to the Selidove Central City Hospital.

Coordinators of the social center of the city of Uman “Avdiivka. Free people. So it was, so it will be.” together with colleagues from the Uman City Council held a master class for children of immigrants. They arranged a paper crafting class for them and together they made fun appliqués from old newspapers and magazines

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Bakhmut direction, Spirne, Berestov, Vesele, Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Ozarianivka, Druzhba, Mayorsk and New York of the Donetsk Oblast were affected by the fire of the russian occupiers.

Chasiv Yar came under fire in the Horlivka direction. At least seven residential buildings and an enterprise building were damaged. A tense situation is in the Soledar community. Three houses in Rozdolivka and another three in Vasiukivka were destroyed.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

There were no victims in the Volnovakha direction. Vuhledar and the neighborhood of the community was under shelling.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

On the night of February 5, the russian army launched two missile strikes on Druzhkivka of the Donetsk region, hitting a residential neighborhood. As a result of shelling, high-rise buildings were damaged and a kindergarten building was partially destroyed. According to preliminary information, five townspeople were injured. Communal workers eliminate the consequences of rocket fire. They clear the surrounding area, dismantle debris, and free roadways from debris. Mariupol

Tens of thousands of russian soldiers are being brought to the outskirts of Mariupol. The occupiers are preparing for a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces. The facts of the movement of occupation military equipment in Mariupol have already been recorded. The russians are also building defensive structures around the city.

The Mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boichenko, said on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel that the Mariupol partisans are working despite the filtering checks of the occupiers. They provide the coordinates and positions of the russians. 

Luhansk Oblast

The Rubizhne city hospital, which currently operates in Dnipro, received a mobile dispensary. This is a car on which a team of doctors can go to patients in remote settlements and receive patients in it. Such transport was transferred to the relocated Kramatorsk hospital as part of the UN Development Program.

Southern oblasts

Odesa Oblast

By February 10, work on the restoration of energy facilities that were damaged in the Odesa Oblast should be completed, which will provide a significant improvement for electricity consumers, Ukrenergo reports. To date, an action algorithm has been developed and work is underway. Currently, about 300,000 subscribers have limited electricity supply.

Odesa received 15 powerful generators from 70 kW to 1 MW. They will make it possible to provide light for two hours through eight consumers in the city and nearby areas. 

Odesa schools have announced holidays on February 6 and 7 due to the critical situation with the city’s electricity supply. Regular groups will work in all kindergartens.

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday and tonight, on February 5, the enemy conducted artillery strikes on the waters of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.

Also yesterday, the enemy fired from an artillery system at the Kutsurub community. There were no casualties or damage.

Kherson Oblast

At about 6 a.m., russian troops shelled Chornobaivka. Six houses, the power grid, gas, and water supply were damaged. One person was wounded. 

On the morning of February 5, russian troops shelled Kherson, hitting a lyceum building. The fire was extinguished by rescuers. There were no casualties. 

In the liberated Kherson oblast, the electricity supply has been restored in 95 settlements and the gas supply has been restored in 56 settlements.

Equipment to restore the water supply, including a borehole pump and necessary materials, was delivered to the Stanislav community. Volunteers of the “Morning of Revival” charitable foundation also brought 3,500 bottles of drinking water to be distributed among local residents. 

Central Oblast

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

About two dozen enemy shells from heavy artillery hit the Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. As a result of the shelling, the power grid in one of the villages was damaged.

The mayor of Novomoskovsk, Serhii Reznyk, announced the start of discussions among residents about renaming the city.

In Kryvyi Rih, volunteers organized a charity event to raise money for the Armed Forces. At the “Center of Invincibility”, citizens can hand over banknotes that will soon be out of circulation and join in collecting donations to help the military. Volunteers are accepting old-style one- and two-hryvnia banknotes that are to be withdrawn from circulation on September 30, 2023.

Kirovohrad Oblast

On January 6, near Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, a russian sniper’s bullet stopped the heart of Anatoliy Razkevych, a heroic defender from Kropyvnytskyi, while he was saving his comrades-in-arms. May the defender of Ukraine rest in peace.

As part of another large prisoner exchange, eight Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and one National Guard soldier from Kirovohrad oblast returned home. Among them is Azovstal defender Maksym Yukhimchuk. Volodymyr Tymko and Yurii Cherniakhov had been in captivity since April 2022, and Mykhailo Matvienko and Vitaliy Remishevskyi had been missing since December last year. Soldiers Serhii Bohomaz, Vitaliy Gotka, Mykola Dzhenko, and Oleksandr Kapsha were also released.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Another train from Kherson arrived in the Khmelnytsky oblast with people who were persuaded to leave the war zone for a safer place.

Kamianets-Podilskyi hosted the city’s open WAKO kickboxing championship, which was attended by more than 70 children from different regions.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

Rivne oblast has paid last respects to two soldiers – Ihor Dudaryk from Sarny, a sergeant major who died near Lyman, and Oleksandr Shcherbakov from Varash, a 52-year-old sergeant who served in the 104th separate territorial defense brigade. He came home on vacation and, unfortunately, died on February 2. Four soldiers from Rivne oblast were returned from russian captivity: Mykola Bashmanov, a senior soldier from Zarichne; Mykola Sych, a sergeant from Sarny; Oleh Pashchenko, a senior soldier from the Babynska community; and Bohdan Yarmolchuk, a soldier from Kostopil. In total, Ukraine returned 116 people from russian captivity during the exchange.

Zakarpattia Oblast

Plast celebrates its centennial in Uzhhorod. Among the events dedicated to the anniversary was a thematic conference. The audience could also see an exhibition of historical materials from Uzhhorod’s Plast. A minute of silence was observed to honor Ukrainian Plast members who died in the fight against russian enemies.

Volunteer eco-paratroopers clean up littered areas of Mukachevo. The aim of the project is to clean up littered areas in the city. The participants of the new volunteer movement are local residents and IDPs.
