Kyiv

Prime Minister of Latvia Arturs Karins arrived in Kyiv to reaffirm his support for Ukraine.

Kyiv received the first batch of armored ambulances from the UK’s O&H Venari factory. The city authorities will transfer the special transport vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In some areas of the Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of Kyiv, power outages are taking place according to the stabilization schedules.

In Kyiv, students and teachers of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine held a rally. The purpose of the picket is to remove the name of the Russian composer from the name of the institution.

Kyiv Oblast

Explosive ordnance disposal was carried out in the Vyshhorod Raion today.

Local residents found a box of ammunition at the former enemy positions in the Bucha Raion. Bomb squad experts of the Kyiv Oblast examined the dangerous find and found 3 zinc boxes with detonators for M-6 type mortar shells.

In the Kyiv Oblast, a farmer was wounded as a result of detonation of an explosive device when cutting hazard dead trees in the Poliska community. A tree trunk fell on an unknown object, which exploded. The man was hospitalized in the intensive care unit with a mine blast injury and a chest contusion.

In some areas of the Bucha, Obukhiv, and Fastiv raions, power outages are taking place according to the stabilization schedules.

Zhytomyr Oblast

Germany donated a bus equipped with a generator to the Teteriv boarding school. The money for the bus was raised by residents of Osnabrück, volunteers and children who are refugees from Ukraine. Another bus was delivered to the Zhytomyr Drama Theater as part of humanitarian aid from Poland. The theater donated their own bus to the Armed forces of Ukraine in the first days of the full-scale war.

Four schoolchildren from Zhytomyr set up a checkpoint to raise money for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and rescuers. In the first month, the boys managed to raise 20 thousand hryvnias, which they used to buy rescue workers tool kits for car repairs.

Chernihiv Oblast

On March 15, russians fired mortars at the Horodnia and Koriukivka raions. The military reported five hits in the area of the settlement of Berylivka in the Horodnia Raion. They also reported nine hits, allegedly from a 120-mm mortar, in the area of Yeline in the Koriukivka Raion.

The Chernihiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office has served notices of suspicion to 15 russian servicemen. All suspicions are related to crimes committed by the russian troops during the occupation of the village of Yahidne, off Chernihiv, in March 2022.

Sumy Oblast

During the day of March 15, the russian military shelled the territories of four communities in the Sumy Oblast: Krasnopillia, Khotyn, Shalyhyne, and Nova Sloboda. The office of the agricultural company was destroyed, and one private outbuilding burned down.

On the morning of March 16, russians shelled the Bilopillia community with artillery and a grenade launcher. In total, more than 130 hits were recorded.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, russian occupiers shelled Kharkiv and the border settlements of the Chuhuiv, Kupiansk, Kharkiv, and Bohodukhiv raions.

In Kharkiv, a S-300 missile damaged an educational institution and several cars, and also smashed windows in a high-rise residential building.

At least 3 private houses were damaged as a result of shelling in the village of Hatyshche, Chuhuiv Raion.

In the village of Lemishcheno of the Zolochiv community, massive shelling actually destroyed 7 private houses and infrastructure facilities.

Over the past day, the pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service inspected about 1 hectare of territory and defused another 88 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts in the Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk sectors. Over the past day, it carried out more than 75 attacks.

The areas of Novokalynove, Kamianka, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Heorhiivka, Nevelske, Pobeda, Vuhledar, Vremivka, and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk Oblast came under hostile shelling.

On March 15, the russians killed 1 resident of the Donetsk Oblast — in Bakhmut. Another 11 people in the oblast were wounded.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,411 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,199. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

Throughout the day, russians fired intensively at Kostiantynivka, shelling the town with Tornado-S and Uragan MLRS. Six people were wounded. Also, a school, 5 high-rise buildings, 20 private houses, and 11 civilian cars were damaged.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

The village of Ukrainka of the Pokrovsk community was bombarded by Smerch MLRS, fortunately, no one was injured.

One person was wounded in the village of Hostre of the Kurakhove community, and a private house was damaged in the village of Zoriane of the Maryinka community.

The village of Komyshivka of the Novohrodivka community came under a missile attack – a residential building was damaged, but no one was hurt.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

One person was wounded in Illinivka, and also 3 private houses, a kindergarten and an inclusive resource center were damaged.

A number of explosions thundered on the outskirts of the Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, and Soledar communities.

At least one civilian was reported dead and another one was wounded in Bakhmut; the city is holding the line despite incessant hostile attacks and shelling.

In the Lysychansk direction, two people were slightly injured in Zvanivka. Private houses on three streets were damaged. Houses in Pereizne were also damaged on the territory of the community.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

Bohoyavlenka was shelled at night in the direction of Volnovakha. There are no casualties.

Luhansk Oblast

In the so-called “LNR” laws “on administrative and territorial organization” and “on the formation of city and municipal districts on the territory of the “LNR” have been put into effect. In particular, 11 city and 17 municipal districts (raions) were approved. There is no Popasna in any of the lists.

Mykolaiv Oblast

On March 15, two more bridges were opened in the Mykolaiv Oblast, which were destroyed by the russian invaders. They are one across the Ingul River in the Voskresenske community and the other across the Ingulets River in the Snihurivka community.

In the Shevchenkove community, from March 5 to 15, there were five cases where residents of the community blew up on explosive objects. People can come across russian ammunition even in their own backyards.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, March 15, the russian military shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of ​​17 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Representatives of the occupation administrations and those who cooperated with the russians are preparing to evacuate from the temporarily occupied Vasylivka of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Anna Kuprienko from Zaporizhia met the rescuers who got her and her husband out from under the rubble of the destroyed house. On March 2, a russian S-300 missile hit the five-story building where the couple lived. The family was under the rubble for more than three hours.

Odesa Oblast

In the Black Sea, the number of russian missile carriers has increased to five: the total salvo can be up to 32 Calibers. The ship group has 21 units. The Operational Command “South” (“Pivden”) reported that the russians are probably going to find and retrieve the wreckage of the recently downed American drone.

The Japanese city of Yokohama will provide technical and technological support in the restoration and development of Odesa’s critical infrastructure. This is stated in the Memorandum on technical cooperation, which the representatives of the cities signed today.

More than 50% of Odesa residents consider Ukrainian as their native language. These are the results of a sociological study conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation to find out how the war affects the language situation.

Kherson Oblast

During the day of March 15, russian troops shelled five communities of the Berislav Raion. They are in particular the Tiahynka, Novoraisk, Mylove, Novooleksandrivka and Beryslav communities. Residential buildings and farm buildings were damaged. One person was injured in the village of Zolota Balka.

In the Kherson Oblast, in the village of Tokarivka, russian troops dropped a grenade from a drone, which fell on the road. At that time, law enforcement officers were on the road on a call. The car was mechanically damaged, the police officers were not injured.

In the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson Oblast, the military continues to loot. Oversized items are taken out by trucks that used to deliver ammunition. Small items they try to use to pay in local stores

During the day, pyrotechnicians neutralized 90 explosive objects in the de-occupied settlements of the Kherson Oblast. More than five thousand hectares, more than seven kilometers of power lines and six households were surveyed.

The pseudo-head of the Ivanivka military civil administration will be tried in the Kherson Oblast. During his term in the illegally created body, a resident of the Kherson Oblast took property from local people for the benefit of the russian federation and threatened village elders with reprisals for refusing to work for the occupation authorities. He faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Fuel pellets were delivered to the Nadezhdivka Starosta District of the Bilozerka community. 27 households received 1200 kg each. 32 tons of solid fuel was provided by the French organization Solidarités International. Previously, residents of the villages of Myroliubivka and Tomyna Balka Starosta ​​District received the pellets.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Yesterday evening, the russian military struck Marhanets of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Four women and one man were injured. They are in a moderate condition, four people are admitted to a hospital. A shop, a club, a hostel and a car were vandalized in the city. 13 multi-apartment and 9 private buildings, half a dozen farm buildings were also damaged. 

In five hospitals of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, rehabilitation centers for military and civilians are planned. More than 200 adults and 100 children can be served there at the same time. Such centers will operate in Dnipro, Pavlograd, the Kamianske and Novomoskovsk raions.

Trains with carriages for people with disabilities run to Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. They start from Kyiv and along the route Dnipro — Truskavets. The carriages have air conditioning, a cooler, sockets and USB ports near each seat. The inscriptions are duplicated in Braille, and there is a special ramp for convenient boarding.

Kropyvnytskyi Oblast

Four generators, which were received as humanitarian aid in Kropyvnytskyi, will be installed in the village of Nove. They were handed over to the utility company “Teploenerhetik” and will be used during emergency power outages to operate the pumping equipment that provides water to the residents of the village.

In Kropyvnytskyi, the “Ecostyle” company, which is engaged in the removal of garbage, started a project to collect used batteries. 14 appropriate containers were installed in the city.

Poltava Oblast

Two men and two women from Poltava, Kremenchuk and Horishni Plavni spread russian propaganda on the Internet and glorified representatives of the russian army. All four received suspicions under the article “Justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine”. The sanction is imprisonment for up to five or eight years.

A monument to the russian writer Maksym Gorkyi was dismantled in the village of Seredniaky of the Petrivka-Romenska community. The dismantling was initiated by the Poltava office of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance. The decision was praised at the meeting of the executive committee of the village council.

Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

A year ago, on March 16, 2022, the russian military dropped a bomb on the Mariupol Drama Theater. According to preliminary data, hundreds of people died under the rubble, but the exact number is still unknown. Residents of Mariupol, who moved to Lviv, gathered near the Opera House and staged an action to honor the victims.

New safe homes have been prepared for storks in the Lviv Oblast. Before the arrival of the birds, Lviv energy workers will mount about a hundred new safe platforms instead of nests, which they do on electric poles.

Rivne Oblast

The Security Service of Ukraine of the Rivne Oblast exposed an agent group of military intelligence of the russian federation, which transmitted information to the enemy about the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Bakhmut. It included two residents of Kramatorsk. One of them is a nurse of the ground defense combat unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the instruction of the aggressor, they recorded the results of enemy shelling on Ukrainian infrastructure and the routes of movement of Ukrainian equipment.

In the Varash Raion, each of the five villages of the Kanonychi community volunteers. So, seven cars bought by villagers were sent from Kidry to the front line. Minivans are often sent with everything necessary for the soldiers – fellow countrymen. 120 tons of aid were delivered from the Kidry Lyceum to the war zone. In the village of Kanonychi, the “Charivnytsia” team of the local cultural center prepares in the oven sausages for the army according to an ancient Polish recipe.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The first volunteers from the “Lyut” [“Rage”] assault brigade are completing the young fighter’s course in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. They will soon master military skills in accordance with the chosen line of service. Most of the classes took place on the training ground in conditions close to combat.

From Khmelnytskyi, a generator, individual military medical bags, shoes, thermal clothing, bandages, tourniquets, various medicines and medical preparations were handed over to the newly created 423rd Rifle Battalion.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Chernivtsi Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital received medicines and baby food from benefactors. In particular, medicines and medical products came from the association Ukraina Più – Milano APS. Charitable organizations “Irrepressible. Dreams” and “Big Hearts” donated milk porridges, purified water and formulas to the department for premature babies. Medicines with a total value of over 100,000 hryvnias were handed over to the hospital by the Borshchahivskiy Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant.

Eleven complete sets of computer equipment and more than 30 monitors for classrooms were received by the Khotyn Vocational College from the sister city of La Couronne in France. Computers will be used not only during the education of students, but also in the courses conducted by the initiative group of teachers for IDPs – on the study of the Ukrainian language, special courses on psychological adaptation and socialization of IDPs, courses on mastering computer technology, etc.

In the Novoselytsia community, another location for conducting activities on psychosocial support has become operational. It was opened on the basis of a kindergarten in the village of Malynivka. It is visited by both local children and IDPs. The location was arranged by the Red Cross Society of Ukraine. Recreational activities with elements of creativity, active games with children will take place here. Classes are aimed at relieving tension, restoring communication and developing creativity.

Zakarpattia Oblast

Zakarpattia Oblast has the highest demand for workers in Ukraine: in February, the number of vacancies increased by 50% compared to the corresponding period last year. Data from Work.uа analysts testify to the highest indicators in Ukraine.

The charity art exhibition “Spring of the Victorious Year” has started in Uzhgorod, where Sonia Moroziuk from Kharkiv presents her collection of more than 30 works. Half of the proceeds from the sale of the works and 100% of the ticket price will go to support the soldiers of the 128th Brigade.
