Northern oblasts

Kyiv

Kyiv Oblast

April 2 marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Kyiv Oblast from the russian invaders.

A sculpture was installed in Borodianka for the anniversary of the liberation of the Kyiv Oblast from the russian occupiers. “Girl in the Sun” is the name of the sculpture. It is a child’s silhouette flying up into the sky in the sunlight against the background of high-rise buildings destroyed by a russian aerial bomb.

Zhytomyr Oblast

At the invitation of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure of the Republic of Estonia, Riina Sikkut, the heads of the Zhytomyr Oblast communities paid a working visit to Estonia. The delegation held a meeting at the Center for International Support and Assistance under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, inspected municipal facilities to learn from local experiences, and talked to representatives of the Department of Transport.

An integration meeting with internally displaced persons, who had moved to the Zhytomyr City Territorial Community, was held at the City Cultural and Sports Center of the Zhytomyr City Council. The participants received information about extracurricular education services provided in the community, got acquainted with the activities of teenage clubs at their place of residence, and attended interesting master classes. They also had the opportunity to register their children to attend their favorite clubs.

Sumy Oblast

On April 1, the russian military shelled the Esman and Bilopillia communities in the Sumy Oblast. There were no injured people or damaged buildings.

On the morning of April 2, the russian military fired mortars at a milk truck in one of the villages of the Nova Sloboda community in the Sumy Oblast, killing two people.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy shelled at least 14 border settlements in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, and Chuhuiv raions.

In particular, Kupiansk, Dvorichna, Pishchane, Krokhmalne, Zapadne, Udy, Veterynarne and other localities were under fire.

A 43-year-old civilian man was killed and a 46-year-old man was wounded as a result of shelling in the village of Kutkivka, Kupiansk Raion. He was hospitalized in a state of moderate severity.

Also in the Kupiansk Raion, S-300 missiles damaged the buildings of an agricultural enterprise in the village of Velykyi Burluk, and a private house in the village of Podoly.

Mine clearance works continue in the oblast. Over the past day, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service examined more than 6.5 hectares of territory and defused 96 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Avdiivka and Marinka directions. The most heated battles remain for the districts of Avdiivka and Marinka settlements.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In Kostiantynivka of the Donetsk Oblast, as a result of morning enemy shelling of the central part of the city, at least six people were killed and another eight were wounded. High-rise buildings and private residential buildings were damaged.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

The russian federation launched another missile attack on civilian objects in the city of Avdiivka of the Donetsk region, using ballistic missiles. There are dead and wounded among the civilian population. A garden cooperative and a cultural center were damaged.

Residents of the Pokrovsk Raion evacuated to Chervonohrad community receive support from benefactors.

Over the past 24 hours, in the Bakhmut Raion, the russian military has shelled the positions of Ukrainian soldiers 232 times with various types of artillery.

On the night of April 2, the russian military shelled an apartment building in Toretsk. As a result, communications were damaged, three people were poisoned by carbon monoxide, and another person was injured.

Southern oblasts

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, April 1, the russian military shelled 16 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. 11 reports were received about the destruction of buildings and infrastructure facilities.

Today, April 2, in one of the villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, local children painted a car for the military, which will soon go to the front.

Kherson Oblast

russian troops fired artillery at Kherson, hit a private house, and a person died.

Two people were also wounded as a result of the shelling of Beryslav and Tiahynka.

The russian army damaged a mobile communication station in the Beryslav district.

In the Kherson Oblast, russian troops shelled Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Zmiyivka, Beryslav, Vesele, Mykolaivka, Burhunka, Kizomys, and Kherson during the day. There were two fires in Kherson. In the morning, an economic building on Krymska Street was on fire, in the afternoon there was a fire at the solid waste landfill.

Over the past 24 hours, the russian army hit three communities in the Beryslav Raion. In particular, the city of Beryslav, the villages of Tomaryne, Mykhailivka, Tiahinka and Odradokamianka came under russian fire. Russian shells damaged the critical infrastructure facility, residential and farm buildings.

Skadovsk

The situation in the city of Skadovsk is tense. Pensioners and low-income people are intimidated and forced to take russian passports. If they refuse, they will not be paid financial aid. Russians continue to settle in the homes of local residents.

Central Oblasts

Poltava Oblast

During the year of the full-scale invasion, the level of patriotism and national consciousness among the youth of the Poltava Oblast increased by 73%. According to the results of the research, it is clear that among the students, the feeling of respect for Ukraine, pride for their origin and citizenship has increased significantly. Also, more and more young people are ready to defend their country and join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 70% of the surveyed students plan to study and live in Ukraine.

Three defenders from the Poltava Oblast were awarded posthumously.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

Rivne artists united to help the military. The open-ended charitable marathon “Joint Struggle” was launched. Within its framework, the first meeting was held in the “Euroart” gallery. From the fair and the lottery, it was possible to collect the 5th part of the set goal – 110,000 hryvnias. With these funds, it is planned to purchase a ground tracked drone for evacuating wounded soldiers from the battlefield. Rivne artists support the “Rivnyany-Honor” platoon, which defends Ukraine as part of the “Da Vinci Wolves” battalion. For this purpose, they created the volunteer society “GVINT” and will collect funds for our military until the end of the war.

The mother of the fallen Hero Dmytro Dziubyshyn handed over a drone for the military. The woman handed over the DJI Mavic 3 drone to the defenders of Rivne, which will serve on the front line.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

On Sunday, April 2, at around 11 o’clock, a funeral cortege arrived in Ivano-Frankivsk with the body of Vitalii Merinov, a former deputy of the city council, a member of the executive committee, a public activist, a four-time world champion in kickboxing and a soldier who died in the hospital from wounds received at the front. People came to the road en masse and knelt down, meeting the deceased. Tributes were also paid to the fallen defender near his native boxing club “SPZ” in Nezalezhnosti Street. It was there that he trained the youth who glorified Ivano-Frankivsk and Ukraine on sports grounds. Now a petition has been created to award Vitalii the title “Hero of Ukraine” posthumously.

Zakarpattia Oblast

The Deputy Minister of Economy and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Levente Modyor, arrived on a visit to the Zakarpattia Oblast. During the working visit, a bilateral conversation was held. In particular, it was stated that there is no oppression of Hungarians in the region. This was announced by the head of the military administration of the Zakarpattia Oblast, Viktor Mykyta.

The Zakarpattia Oblast State Administration received 6 Mercedes-Benz passenger buses from Hungarian partners, which were handed over by the decision of the Veszprém community and with the support of the Government of Hungary. This aid was immediately sent to the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts, which suffer from a lack of public transport after the occupation.
