Northern oblasts

Kyiv

On Easter, for the first time in three hundred years, a service was held in the Ukrainian language in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

In the capital, on Poshtova Square, the sculptures of the children founders of Kyiv were dressed up for Easter in costumes of a defender, an angel, a Cossack, and an embroidered shirt.

Chernihiv Oblast

On April 15, the russian army once again shelled the border of the Chernihiv Oblast from the air. At night, an airstrike was recorded on an enterprise in Semenivka. Agricultural machinery was damaged.

Sumy Oblast

On April 15, the russian army shelled the Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, and Yunakivka communities in the Sumy Oblast. 158 hits from mortars, automatic grenade launchers, and artillery were recorded. Three unguided aircraft missiles were also launched into the territory of the oblast.

Last night, russian troops carried out an airstrike on a psychoneurological boarding school in the Shostka Raion of the Sumy Oblast. Two administrative buildings were also damaged. Two women were wounded.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy shelled the border and frontline settlements of the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, and Kupiansk raions of the oblast.

In particular, Kozacha Lopan, Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Hatyshche, Dvorichna and other settlements were under hostile fire.

In the village of Petropavlivka, Kupiansk Raion, enemy fire damaged two private houses and destroyed a car and a tractor. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Mine clearance is underway in the oblast. Over the past day, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service inspected 9.5 hectares of territory and defused 196 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

In just one day, the russians killed 2 residents of the Donetsk Oblast and wounded 7 more.

Since February 24, 2022, the russian military have taken the lives of 1,471 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,399 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

During the day, russian troops shelled the Kostiantynivka community three times. Three people were wounded. Two high-rise buildings, a dormitory, a pharmacy, a shop, and the territory of an enterprise were damaged in the town. Also in this community, house was damaged in Predtechyne. There were thundering explosions in the Chasiv Yar and Soledar communities.

Rescue operations are ongoing in Sloviansk. The body of a dead woman was recovered from under the rubble of a five-story building. So far, 153 tons of destroyed building structures have been dismantled, and the work continues. In total, the bodies of 7 people were recovered from the rubble at the scene, and 2 people were rescued. The search for two more people continues.

A total of 35 people were affected as a result of the shelling of Sloviansk on April 14, including 13 killed and 22 wounded.

In the Lysychansk sector, an apartment building in Torske was destroyed and a house in Zarichne of the Lyman community was damaged.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

Yesterday, the enemy shelled more than 15 settlements located near the line of contact. Among them are Keramik, Stepove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka.

In the Donetsk sector, Kurakhove came under artillery fire three times, no one was injured.

In the Maryinka sector, our defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks in the area of the Maryinka settlement in the Donetsk Oblast.

15 russian servicemen were captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Maryinka in the Donetsk Oblast.

The Myrnohrad community of the Pokrovsk Raion received medical supplies from the Help for Ukraine Foundation: functional medical beds, mattresses, bedside tables, medicines and medical products, as well as warm clothes and shoes for internally displaced persons. Such help is very timely, as the war has caused doctors to have a double workload. These products will be needed to treat not only civiliansб but also military personnel.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Fierce battles continue for Bakhmut.

In the Bakhmut front direction in the Donetsk Oblast, soldiers of the Defense Forces neutralized 250 russians: 121 russian soldiers were killed, 129 were wounded. Also, 265 shellings of the russian army and 31 skirmishes took place in this direction.

Icons from Bakhmut will be handed over to the Garrison Church of Lviv for safekeeping. The Ukrainian military found them under the rubble of houses on the eve of Easter.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha direction, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka and Bohoyavlenka were under fire without casualties.

Mariupol

The Mariupol City Council continues to support the Ukrainian military. In particular, deputy mayors Serhii Zakharov and Olena Paramonova handed over Easter cakes (paska) and the Ukrainian flag to the military in the Vinnytsia hospital. Mariupol children drew and wrote postcards with wishes for recovery and victory.

The mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko, handed over two more cars and three quadcopters to the border guards of the Donetsk detachment. Border guards point out that in a modern war such support on the front line is no less important than weapons.

Luhansk Oblast

Stelmakhivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka were subjected to artillery shelling by the russians during the past day.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy shelled the settlement of the Horohiv community. The kindergarten and club building were damaged. No casualties.

On the night of April 15 to 16, the Snihurivka community in the Mykolaiv Oblast was hit by enemy rocket fire. Previously, S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. Two teenagers born in 2005 died as a result of shelling in one of the settlements of the community. Residential buildings, an educational institution and a private enterprise were damaged.

In the city of Snihurivka, as a result of today’s night shelling, two educational institutions, a hospital, a cultural center and residential buildings were damaged. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, April 15, the russian military shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of ​​19 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. So far, eight reports have been received about the destruction of houses (apartments) of citizens and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel. The russian army launched missile strikes on the Zaporizhzhia Oblast today. Within an hour, six missiles, probably S-300, hit the oblast. In Komyshuvakha, a local church was damaged in which the service was not held. Nearby buildings were also destroyed – the library, residential buildings. Two people were injured. 

In the regional center, the russians targeted the green zone in one of the districts of the city of Zaporizhia: parked cars, communications and buildings were damaged.

The russians began to remove property from schools and kindergartens in the temporarily occupied Energodar. For example, the russians recently removed some of the beds, mattresses and other property from kindergarten No. 3, and they began to remove desks, cabinets, racks, etc. from Gymnasium No. 2.

Kherson Oblast

In the Kherson direction, the russian military is defending and shelling populated areas located near the line of combat. Antonivka, Zelenivka and Kherson came under fire yesterday. Local residents died.

On April 15, the russian army fired heavy artillery, drones, and aircraft at Kherson Oblast 70 times and at the city of Kherson five times. They attacked the residential quarters of the settlements of the Oblast, the territory of the school and the state institution of execution of punishments in Kherson. Two people died, two were injured.

Over the past day, the missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces have struck twice at the concentration of manpower and equipment of the russian military in the Kakhovka and Skadovsk raions of the Kherson Oblast. 13 units of russian equipment and one observation post on the islands were liquidated.

Central Oblasts

Kirovohrad Oblast

In the Kirovohrad Oblast, almost 30 hectares of pastures in the Onufriivka community were under water.

An exhibition of weapon fragments was presented in the Kropyvnytskyi Oblast Museum to help Kirovohrad military medics raise money for a car to quickly transport wounded soldiers from the front line. 70,000 hryvnias are not enough for its purchase.

Poltava Oblast

Valerii Zaluzhnyi awarded Oleksandr Koba from Poltava with a badge. The soldier received the “Steel Cross” award for high performance in combat training and outstanding service. Oleksandr Koba joined the “Dnipro-1” battalion as a volunteer in 2014. Then he fought near Mariupol and defended the village of Pisky.

Apartments in a new building in Kremenchuk were purchased for pilots Vadym Voroshylov and Andrii Herus. Last year, the soldiers were awarded the title of Heroes of Ukraine. Vadym Voroshylov successfully shot down enemy drones, and Andrii Herus destroyed the plane. For their courage, the defenders will receive three-room apartments, which were purchased at the expense of the community budget.

A new working group will work on the creation of a military lyceum in Poltava. This institution will provide military education to children, orphans and children of fallen defenders of Ukraine. The main task will be to build respect for military service among Ukrainians.

In Poltava, thanks to “Banderivska Paska”, more than 38,000 hryvnias were collected for thermal imaging devices for the 77th brigade. The total amount of raised funds is 69,000 hryvnias. This money will be used to purchase a thermal imager for tracking enemy targets at night.

The Poltava Oblast received 23 generators from international donors. They will be distributed between places of residence of internally displaced persons, “Points of inviolability”, institutions that provide social support to citizens and between educational institutions.

45 communities of the Poltava Oblast received humanitarian aid from the oblast headquarters. Food and household items will be distributed among the internally displaced persons who have been sheltered in the oblast. In addition, first aid kits for shelters in hospitals, kindergartens, schools and institutions of social protection were handed over to communities.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

On Easter, four military men from the Rivne Oblast were returned from russian captivity – Nazar Parfeniuk, Andrii Soliarskyi, Ivan Hnatiuk and Roman Rybak.

In Rivne, a master class on painting Easter eggs was organized for the internally displaced children. They painted eggs together with mothers and grandmothers. The master class was conducted by Honored Master of Folk Art of Ukraine Viktoria Stepaniuk. The children who took part in the event moved to the Rivne community from the Donetsk Oblast. That is why they were interested in stories about the traditions of coloring eggs.

Chernivtsi Oblast

The Walk of Fame “You are with us” was opened in the Mamaivtsi community. It was created to honor the memory of the fallen Heroes of Ukraine. Three steles with portraits of 18 fallen soldiers from the Mamaivtsi community and information about their service and burial places were installed there.

Fighters of the 107th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of Bukovyna consecrated Easter baskets on the front line. Ivan Roik, one of the soldiers of the 107th brigade, conducted the consecration ceremony. He was a priest in peaceful life, and in the first days of the russian invasion he enrolled in the ranks of the Territorial Defense.

The traditional charity event “Easter basket for a soldier” was organized in the Klishkivtsi community. Locals prepared and collected holiday treats for the soldiers on the front line. They also made homemade sausages and hams, bought vegetables, citrus fruits and candies. Children colored patriotic Easter eggs and drew pictures. Employees of communal institutions collected one day’s earnings to purchase the necessary items.

Zakarpattia Oblast

On Easter, the head of the Zakarpattia Oblast Military Administration Viktor Mykyta and his deputies came to the Zakarpattia military at the front. In the Bakhmut direction, they consecrated Easter cakes together.

Volunteers of the “Zakarpattia Military Support Movement” were stopped at an unusual checkpoint near Zaporizhzhia. The improvised checkpoint was organized by children. Young patriots stop all cars and ask them to say the password or patriotic slogans. In turn, the volunteers thanked the children with gifts.

Students of the Uzhgorod special school of grades I-III for children with hearing impairment made special gifts for Ukrainian defenders, Easter eggs-charms.
