Northern Oblasts

Chernihiv Oblast

Russian troops shelled three border communities in Chernihiv Oblast with tube artillery, mortars and grenade launchers yesterday.

In Chernihiv, a land plot with a total area of more than four hectares is planned to be allocated for temporary storage of waste from the destruction caused by active hostilities.

Sumy Oblast

During the day, the russian army shelled three communities in Sumy Oblast. They used mortars and bombarded the communities with air bombs.

19 explosions were recorded overnight and in the morning in Sumy Oblast. Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorodske communities were attacked by the russian army.

This afternoon, the russian army attacked 3 communities with multiple rocket launchers. The consequences are currently being clarified. Rescuers are working on the spot.

Since the beginning of 2024, 38 people have been killed in Sumy Oblast, about 100 wounded, including 8 children. Also, 745 infrastructure facilities have been destroyed. More than 12,000 people have been evacuated from the border area.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

All families with children have been evacuated from Lukianivtsi, where a guided aerial bomb killed two people and injured four others on April 15. Approximately 140 out of 182 families with children remain to be evacuated from some of the border settlements in Bohodukhiv, Izium and Kharkiv raions.

Over the course of April 15, combined bomb disposal teams cleared 43 hectares of territory in Kharkiv Oblast and destroyed 343 explosive devices.

The partial power outage in Kharkiv and Oblast was caused by a voltage shortage. It was caused by the effects of previous shelling in the Oblast.

Today, the russian army hit the post office building in Zolochiv, Kharkiv Oblast. Two people were injured. A guided missile hit partially destroyed a wall and smashed windows.

Donetsk Oblast

One person was killed and two others were injured as a result of shelling by russia on April 15 in Donetsk Oblast. In total, since the beginning of the invasion, not counting the victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha, 1,921 people have died and 4,805 people have been injured.

On April 15, russian troops shelled five cities, villages and towns of Donetsk Oblast, carried out air and artillery strikes. Shelling damaged 14 civilian objects: apartment buildings in Ocheretyn and Sloviansk, an educational institution, a bank, and garages.

About 90 attacks were repelled by the Ukrainian military on the front of Donetsk Oblast, Luhansk Oblast and Zaporizhzhia. The occupiers resumed attacks in the Lyman direction, where a lull lasted for several days.

The most storming is on the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka fronts, where the Defense Forces repulsed three dozen attacks in a day.

Luhansk Oblast

Mykolayiv Oblast

On the night of April 16, the Air Defense Forces in the Mykolaiv Oblast destroyed one “Shahed 131/136” UAV.

On April 15, the russian army shelled the waters of the Ochakiv community with mortars. It also carried out artillery strikes on the Kutsurub community. There were no casualties or injuries.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

310 strikes were carried out by the russian army on towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast during the day, April 15.

Seven attacks of the russian army were repulsed by the Defense Forces in the Orihiv direction last day, April 15. In particular, to the north of Priyutny and to the southwest of Biloghirya, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Odesa Oblast

Military servicemen undergoing rehabilitation in Odesa competed on modern Cossack seagulls. The event was organized with the support of charitable foundations and dedicated to the opening of a new rehabilitation center for war victims.

Kherson Oblast

In the morning, the russian army attacked Zolota Balka. A 56-year-old man was wounded. He was taken to the hospital with an explosive injury and an arm wound.

Today, the russian army conducted an air strike on Beryslav. Preliminary, 15 people were injured. Residential buildings, shops, and a pharmacy were damaged.

Last night over Kherson Oblast, air defense units shot down two Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs.

The Southern Defense Forces reported five more unsuccessful assaults by the russian army on the bridgeheads held by the Ukrainian military near Krynky, and the russian military suffered losses and withdrew.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

In the evening and on the night of April 16, the russian army struck Nikopol Raion of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Three houses, greenhouses, a car and a minibus were damaged. A power line was damaged. A thousand subscribers were left without electricity.

Cherkasy Oblast

Air defense forces destroyed an attack drone at night in Cherkasy Oblast. There were no injuries or damage to infrastructure as a result of the downing of the drone in Uman Raion.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast
