Kyiv Oblast

An extraordinary meeting of the Kyiv Oblast Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations, chaired by Ruslan Kravchenko, was held in the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration. On April 17, during a working trip to the Vyshgorod district, the head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, inspected the arrangement and equipment of the defense lines from the northern direction of the region. Last week, the Easter marathon of charity master classes at the Irpin center of extracurricular education ended. In total, we managed to collect 5,700 hryvnias. Funds were given to volunteers to repair cars for the military.

Chernihiv Oblast

On April 18, russian troops dropped a guided aerial bomb in the area of ​​the village of Tymonovychi, in the Semenivsk community of the Chernihiv Oblast. There was no information about losses among the local population.

Sumy Oblast

During the day of April 17, russian forces shelled five border communities of Sumy Oblast: Velikopysarivka, Bilopillya, Shalygine , Seredino-Buda, Hlukhiv.

On the morning of April 18, the russian military fired artillery at the territory of the Bilopillya community in the Sumy Oblast. 5 hits are counted, there are no consequences of firing.

In the afternoon, the russians shelled the territories of the villages of Korenyok, Shostka raion, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Konotop district, and Richka, Sumy raion. An 83-year-old woman died as a result of shelling in the village of Richki.

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy continued shelling the front-line settlements of Kharkiv, Chuguyiv, Izyum and Kupyansk districts.

In Vovchansk, which the enemy shelled massively yesterday, 8 private residential buildings were destroyed, fires broke out.

 At least 4 residential buildings were damaged as a result of shelling in the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv raion.

2 residential buildings and an outbuilding were damaged in the village of Petropavlivka, Chuguyiv raion, as a result of shelling from rocket launchers.

An infrastructure object, an economic building and a residential building were damaged by shelling from the village of Zeleny Gay, Izyum raion.

Demining is ongoing in the region. During the day, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service inspected 19.3 hectares of territory and neutralized 154 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, the russian military shelled six populated areas of the region with aircraft, S-300, “Geran”, “Hrad” drones and artillery, destroying and damaging 22 civilian objects.

On April 17, one person was injured in Siversk in Donetsk Oblast.

Since February 24, 2023, the russians have killed 1,475 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,399. It is still not possible to establish the number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

At night, the russian military bombarded Slovyansk with S-300 missiles and kamikaze drones for two hours. 7 high-rise buildings, 5 private houses, an entertainment center, a business center and cars were damaged.

In the Lysychansk direction, 1 person was injured in Siversk, houses on 4 streets were damaged.

11 arrivals were recorded in Torske and Zarichne of the Liman community, without casualties.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the Donetsk direction, the russians actively fired at Avdiyivka: they used artillery, rockets and 4 times – “Hrad”. There are houses on 6 streets in the affected area. To date, there is not a single surviving house in Avdiyivka. The enemy also shelled the village of Karlivka.

At least 8 people were injured as a result of today’s shelling of Ukraine. All the wounded were taken to the hospital and are receiving the necessary medical assistance. The russians damaged 3 high-rise buildings and 18 trade pavilions of the local central market.

Yesterday and today, law enforcement officers took away two minor children from Avdiyivka — a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old boy. Currently, one child remains in the city – a 12-year-old boy.

President Zelenskiy visited the advanced positions of the Ukrainian military in Avdiyivka in Donetsk Oblast: he listened to the report of the command and presented state awards to the soldiers.

In the Pokrovsk community in Donetsk Oblast, eight shelters in kindergartens and eight storage facilities in schools are planned to be set up in order to resume face-to-face education from September 1.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

Today, April 18, for the third time in a day, russian troops shelled the front-line town of Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. They attacked with incendiary projectiles prohibited by international law.

A citizen of the russian federation – the so-called «Director of the Operating Organization of the Zaporizhzhia NPP» who ensured the operation of the power plant for the needs of the russian federation and incited the staff of the nuclear power plant to commit treason – was informed of the suspicion.

Odesa Oblast

Kherson Oblast

As a result of today’s shelling of the Central Market in Kherson, glass was broken in the main pavilion and stalls. One person died, nine were injured of varying degrees of severity.

The SSU detained the daughter of the former head of the occupation administration of Chornobayivka Yuriy Turuliov. She was hiding in Vinnytsia as a displaced person. Under the occupiers, she managed education and culture in the village, participated in the pro-Kremlin forum «We are together with russia». The suspect is currently in custody, she faces up to 12 years in prison.

Central Oblasts

Kirovohrad Oblast

Poltava Oblast

Six soldiers from Poltava Oblast who were considered missing were released from captivity.

Soldiers who lost their sight were taught how to adapt to society. A series of events were held in Rivne as part of a rehabilitation camp. In a few weeks, eight soldiers from different parts of Ukraine were trained.

In the village of Mohyliany, Rivne Oblast, volunteers are preparing meat dishes for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are based at the Church of Evangelical Christians. Believers from abroad and fellow villagers send money to buy meat. The finished products are sent to the front line, in particular, to the Bakhmut area, through other volunteers or the military.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Since the beginning of 2023, 35 employers in the Chernivtsi Oblast have taken advantage of the opportunity to receive compensation for the employment of 91 internally displaced persons in the amount of over UAH 900 thousand.

Ruslan Zaparaniuk, Head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration, visited the ”Ruska-Ulma” checkpoint, which is to be expanded and equipped to meet the relevant standards. The plan is to open three checkpoints: “Bila Krynytsia-Klimeuts”, ”Shepit-Izvorele-Suchevei”, and ”Ruska-Ulma”, which will contribute to the development of the region’s economy and improve international communication.

In Bukovyna, police received new police cars. They will allow law enforcement officers to respond quickly to calls about criminal offenses. The cars were purchased at the expense of the Storozhynets, Krasnoilsk, and Kamianske territorial communities. The vehicles are equipped with radios, special signals, tablets, and tools.

Residents of the Nedoboivka community, local gardeners, and 8th-grade students of the Lyceum named after Hryhorii Tomin purchased a quadcopter to help the defenders.

The International Organization for Migration donated 144 tons of liquid coagulant for water purification to Chernivtsi.

Zakarpattia Oblast

In the framework of cooperation with the Ustetskyi Region of the Czech Republic, the fleet of medical institutions in Zakarpattia will be replenished. We are talking about 7 ambulances. The humanitarian project was implemented in cooperation with Kraj Vysočina and the VIZA Charitable Foundation. The Czech partners are also donating generators and medicines for medical institutions and have agreed to contribute to the financing of a rehabilitation center for the military.

In Zakarpattia, enrollment for a course to prepare the population for national resistance has officially started. Training will be free of charge for everyone. Experienced instructors and trainers will work with groups of up to 30 people. The basic course will last 3 months. After completing it, participants will receive certificates.
