NORTHERN OBLASTS
Kyiv

Chernihiv Oblast
On May 23, russians fired mortars targeting two border communities in the Chernihiv Oblast: Semenivka and Snovsk. The military registered 46 explosions.
The army of the russian federation is mounting its forces on its border with the Chernihiv Oblast and the border areas of the Sumy Oblast. In these areas, the enemy is conducting aviation and artillery strikes targeting the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure, and is also using Shahed UAVs.
Sumy Oblast
During the day, the russian army carried out 25 shelling attacks on the Sumy Oblast. As many as 108 explosions were registered.
The russian army attacked three communities in the Sumy Oblast at night and in the morning on May 24. The enemy fired with mortars and artillery. A total of 33 explosions were recorded. One person was injured in the village of Riasne, Sumy Raion. Also, power lines were damaged.
EASTERN OBLASTS
Kharkiv Oblast
On the night of May 24, russia hit the railroad infrastructure. The attacks damaged tracks, buildings, idle freight cars, and an electric train car. No one was injured and trains are running as scheduled.
Fires broke out during the day in Kharkiv, Derhachi, Liubotyn, and Cherkaski Tyshky as a result of russian shelling.
This morning the occupiers attacked the village of Kindrashivka in the Kupiansk Raion. One person was killed and two others got wounded.
Three residents of the Kharkiv Oblast were wounded in the hostilities on February 24. Two 66-year-old men from the village of Verkhnia Pysarivka in the Vovchansk territorial community were hospitalized with blast wounds and thoracic injuries. A 69-year-old resident of Kupiansk tripped an explosive device in a forest belt.
The Malodanylivka community came under russian shelling. Two hits were recorded there, one of which was in the middle of the residential area. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.
Eight private houses and outbuildings were damaged in Zolochiv as a result of a russian attack with a guided aerial bomb. The hostile attack took place in the afternoon. Part of the village is without electricity. No one was injured.
As of 1 p.m., the invaders conducted seven assault operations in the Kharkiv sector. They were driven back near Hlyboke and Lyptsi. Ukrainian soldiers are fighting back and continue to repel four enemy attacks near Vovchansk. Enemy aircraft twice dropped two guided aerial bombs on this locality. The enemy hit Starytsia with another guided missile.
The situation in the Kupiansk sector is the toughest today. A total of 17 combat engagements took place there as of 1 p.m.
In Kharkiv, all the people killed in the russian attacks on the printing house on May 23 have been identified. Four people were identified based on DNA samples: a typist, two machine operators, and a packager were killed. In total, seven people were killed and 21 wounded during the strikes by russian troops on Kharkiv on May 23. Today is the Day of Mourning for the victims.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
Near Kostiantynivka, sappers of the State Emergency Service defused two unexploded russian aerial bombs, which contained a total of about 500 kilograms of explosives.
SOUTHERN OBLASTS
Mykolaiv
On May 23, the russian army launched an artillery strike on the waters of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties or injuries.
Due to the dense mining of the Mykolaiv Oblast, local units of pyrotechnicians turn to colleagues from neighboring oblasts for help. Sappers from Zaporizhzhia are currently working in the Oblast.
Zaporizhia
376 strikes on eight towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast were carried out by the russian army last day, May 23.
In the Orihiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled an attack by the russian army near Novodanylivka.
Odesa
A 4-year-old girl, Zlata, died in the hospital. A fragment of a russian missile hit the child’s heart, and doctors fought for her life for almost a month, but they could not save her. She was killed by the russians, who struck Odesa on April 29 with a missile with a cluster warhead. At that time, six people died in Odesa, and more than 30 were injured. Among the injured there were two children and a pregnant woman.
Kherson Oblast
The russian army shelled 13 settlements of the Kherson Oblast yesterday. The cultural center and 11 private houses were damaged. There were no casualties or injuries.
Over the past day, air defense units in the Kherson Oblast destroyed the Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV.
9 children aged one to twelve were evacuated with their families from the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
During the day, the russian military shelled Komyshany in the Kherson Oblast. Private houses were damaged, and a fire broke out in one of them. In two people, doctors diagnosed an acute reaction to stress.
CENTRAL OBLASTS
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Earlier, two people were injured as a result of an enemy attack on the Nikopol Raion on the morning of May 24. Russian troops hit the populated areas with kamikaze drones and artillery. A four-story building, a shop, a minibus and a car were damaged.
Kirovohrad Oblast
There was a missile attack on the Kropyvnytskyi Raion during the day. Previously, without casualties or destruction. Relevant services are working.
Vinnytsia Oblast
For the first time, a rehabilitation camp for visually impaired veterans “Life after the war” was organized in Vinnytsia. During two weeks, eight participants from different parts of Ukraine will learn to navigate in space, lead a life, use a computer, as well as prepare food and serve themselves.
WESTERN OBLASTS
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
This year’s first rehabilitation camp for military personnel and veterans ended near Lake Bakota. 20 servicemen took part in the “Bakota therapy”. Artists, psychologists and rehabilitators worked with them for five days.
