NORTHERN OBLASTS
Kyiv
A weekly “Free Azov” rally was held in Kyiv. Today it was particularly big. Relatives of the captives came out to support the prisoners of war and those who are reported missing.
Today, on Kyiv Day, the 31st annual charity “Chestnut Race” took place. The participants covered a five-kilometer distance in the capital. In total, more than 7 thousand people from different cities of Ukraine and the world took part in the race. The funds raised by the registration will be transferred to the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery to purchase the required medical equipment.
Kyiv Oblast
Last night, the air defense forces were quite busy in the oblast. No consequences were reported.
Chernihiv Oblast
The russian forces fired mortars and tube artillery on two communities in the Chernihiv Oblast border region.
On May 25, russian troops apparently launched a missile attack in the vicinity of Chernihiv. The attack damaged an outbuilding. No information on casualties or injuries among the local population was reported.
Sumy Oblast
A total of 174 explosions were registered in the Sumy Oblast during the day following russian attacks. Ten communities in the oblast came under fire.
At night and in the morning of May 26, the russian army shelled 7 communities in the Sumy Oblast. The enemy fired with mortars, artillery, and Grad MLRS.
In the morning, the army of the russian federation bombarded the center of Bilopillia in the Sumy Oblast, probably with artillery and Grad MLRS. They targeted civilian infrastructure. Residential buildings were damaged. A part of Bilopillia lost electricity and internet.
In the Sumy Oblast, more than 7,000 metering points in 82 settlements are cut off from electricity supply.
EASTERN OBLASTS
Kharkiv Oblast
In addition to Kharkiv, eight communities were shelled during the day. In Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, a kindergarten building, a hospital, the Palace of Culture, the Holy Protection Church, the Sunday school at the church, and houses were damaged or destroyed.
16 people were killed in the airstrikes on the Epicenter in Kharkiv. The number of wounded in the Epicenter increased to 44 people. Rescuers spent more than 16 hours extinguishing the fire caused by the russian attacks. They had to go down to the shelter several times due to constant threats of another strike from russia. Rescuers and the police continue to work at the site of the hit, and relatives of the dead are waiting for the bodies or remains of their loved ones to be found in the rubble on the ashes. Also, the number of wounded in the russian missile attack on the center of Kharkiv has increased to 25 people.
A 72-year-old woman was killed and two other people were injured, including a 9-year-old boy, as a result of a russian drone strike on Bohuslavka, Izium Raion.
On May 26, in the afternoon, russians attacked the village of Ivashky on the border of the Kharkiv Oblast with at least 11 drones. A 29-year-old man’s legs were severely cut: at the time of the explosion, the wounded man was shielding the village head, due to which she was not injured.
On May 26, a 76-year-old man was killed by russian shelling of Starytsia in the Chuhuiv Raion, and a 77-year-old woman was wounded. Also, the russian military shelled Vovchansk once again: two women were wounded.
As of 5 p.m. in the Kharkiv sector, russian occupiers were conducting assault operations from Murom towards Starytsia. The number of combat engagements in the sector reached 11, with two clashes taking place in the areas of Vovchansk and Lyptsi. The russian army carried out 10 air strikes.
Kupiansk sector: the russian attack near Novoyehorivka continues with the support of enemy aircraft.
Donetsk
Ten settlements of the Donetsk Oblast came under shelling from aircraft and artillery yesterday.
One person was killed by russian shelling on May 25 in Zalizne. Five more residents were injured in Zoriane, Krasnohorivka, Lyman, Shcherbynivka.
Ten years ago, on May 26, the Donetsk airport stopped working and the first battle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the russian invaders took place.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
On May 25, the russian army dropped a KAB-250 guided aerial bomb on Kostiantynivka, which did not explode and is subject to decontamination.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
Today, since the beginning of the day, the russian army has already attacked the positions of the Ukrainian troops in the Pokrovsk direction 14 times. Six attacks were repulsed, and eight battles continue near Novooleksandrivka, Kalinove, Sokil, and Nevelske.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
On May 26, russian troops shelled Siversk and Chasiv Yar. As a result, a man and a woman died, another woman was injured.
The russian military is using armored vehicles near Chasiv Yar and has increased the number of assaults near Bilohorivka. The settlement is currently under the control of the Defense Forces.
SOUTHERN OBLASTS
Mykolaiv
On the night of May 26, three unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed 131/136 type were destroyed in the Mykolaiv Oblast by the forces and means of air defense.
On May 25, the russian army twice shelled the waters of the Ochakiv community with artillery. On the night of May 26, in the Koblevo community, as a result of the destruction of the “Shahed-131/136” type drone, an explosive wave damaged the windows of a preschool education institution. There are no casualties.
Zaporizhzhia
On May 25, the russian army carried out 426 strikes on eight towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Three attack UAVs of the “Shahed-131/136” type destroyed air defense units in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast on the night of May 26.
Three attacks by the russian army in the vicinity of Novoandriivka and Robotyne of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, were repulsed by the Defense Forces in the Orikhiv direction during the past day.
Odesa Oblast

Kherson Oblast
Yesterday, the russian military shelled 14 settlements in the Kherson Oblast. Critical and industrial infrastructure facilities, 11 private houses, and a warehouse were damaged. Four people were injured.
At night, the russian army shelled Chornobaivka. A fire broke out in a non-residential building. One woman was injured. Also, on the evening of May 25, they attacked Antonivka with UAVs. A residential building, outbuildings and a car caught fire. Rescuers extinguished all fires.
The russian military dropped eight guided aerial bombs in the Beryslav, Vysoke, Tiahynka, and Veletenske raions.
CENTRAL OBLASTS
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
A 69-year-old woman was injured by shelling in Nikopol on May 26. She was hospitalized with a moderate concussion. In total, russian troops hit the area 10 times with heavy artillery and kamikaze drones.
In the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, an explosive device was discovered at one of the substations of Oblenergo (regional energy company). The police and sappers were called to destroy it.
Vinnytsia Oblast
In Zhmerynka, the debris of the drone damaged 3 four-story residential buildings, 7 private residential buildings and 6 passenger cars. 40 people were evacuated from the apartments. 2 thousand customers were left without gas. Three people were injured.
WESTERN OBLASTS
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
In the Khmelnytskyi Oblast, air defense forces shot down 6 UAVs and 1 missile. As a result of shelling, 3 thousand customers were disconnected from electricity in one of the cities of the region. Currently, all consumers are connected to the power grid. There were no injuries or damage.
This morning, as a result of a missile attack, an explosion was heard in one of the raions of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast. Air defense forces were working. There were no injuries or damage.
