NORTHERN OBLASTS
Kyiv
The exhibition “Mariupol: 86 Days of Defence” has opened in the capital and is designed to recreate the main events of the defense of Mariupol and to remind the military who have been held captive for more than two years.
Chernihiv Oblast
On 26 May, russian troops shelled five villages in three border communities in Chernihiv Oblast with mortars, cannon artillery and FPV drones.
Sumy Oblast
During the day, 127 explosions were recorded in Sumy Oblast. 10 communities were under fire from the territory of russia. 6 houses, two outbuildings and property of private entrepreneurs were damaged.
At night and in the morning, the russian military fired 4 times at the border of the Oblast. 12 explosions were recorded.
EASTERN OBLASTS
Kharkiv Oblast
On 26 May, a 48-year-old and a 24-year-old man were killed on the outskirts of Ivashky as a result of an explosive device. According to preliminary information from the State Emergency Service, they had gone fishing and exploded.
Over the course of the day, russian bombs and shells caused seven fires in Izium, Chuhuyiv and Kupiansk raions of the Oblasts.
Since 10 May, when russia launched its offensive in the north of the Oblast, 11,142 people have been evacuated from Chuhuyiv, Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv raions.
As of 17:00, 18 victims of the russian attack on the “Epicenter” have been reported. 48 people were injured and five went missing. Debris removal at the site of the attack continues. More than 200 people are involved in the work.
A 69-year-old woman was injured as a result of the russian federation’s shelling of Martove. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged.
In Balakliya, ammunition left by the russians in 2022 detonated. It was caused by a forest fire. Currently, about seven hectares of coniferous litter are burning in the Vysokobirskyi forestry.
Donetsk Oblast
On May 26, five people were killed by russian shelling in Donetsk Oblast. Three more residents were injured.
An 11-year-old child, who had been in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast for more than two years, was returned to the controlled territory of Ukraine.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion
This morning, the russian army fired one missile and three guided aerial bombs at the Lyman. Two women received minor injuries.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion
Russian troops shelled Selidove late in the evening. There were no casualties or injuries, private residential buildings were damaged.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces are trying to prevent the advance of russian troops. Fighting continues near the settlements of Sokil, Umanske and Nevelske.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion
On May 26, the russian military dropped 4 KAB-250 guided aerial bombs on Severne and damaged 3 apartment buildings and 14 private houses, and also struck Antonivka with an FPV drone.
Luhansk Oblast
The so-called head of the education department of the Novoaidar raion “lnr” received 10 years of imprisonment for collaborationism. The woman headed the department from spring until December 2022.
SOUTHERN OBLASTS
Mykolayiv Oblast
On the night of May 27, the russian army twice struck the city of Ochakiv with artillery. There were no casualties or injuries.
This afternoon, russia targeted a car wash in Snigurivka. As of 17:00, at least two people are known to be injured. Among them, a girl is in serious condition.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
On May 26, the russian army carried out 412 strikes on eight towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. In particular, a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia, an air attack on Novoandriivka and Levadne, and other settlements were attacked by drones, anti-aircraft guns, and artillery.
Odesa Oblast
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained former Anti-Maidan activists who worked for the russian federal security service and were preparing attacks on the railway infrastructure of Odesa region. According to the investigation, the head of the group was an Odesa resident, a hand-to-hand and knife fighting instructor, and one of the activists of the Odesa “Anti-Maidan”. He administered a group of supporters of the so-called “novorossiya” in one of the social networks and raised money for the militants of the “luhansk people’s republic” and ”donetsk people’s republic” terrorist organizations.
Kherson Oblast
The russian army shelled nine localities in Kherson Oblast yesterday. They hit Beryslav and Kherson Raions with multiple rocket launchers. The administrative building, the point of indestructibility and 12 private houses were damaged. Three people were injured.
In the morning, the russian military attacked Antonivka. Two people were wounded.
“Save Ukraine” volunteers evacuated a family with seven children from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast. The youngest child was born during the occupation and is nine months old. Everyone is now safe. In total, 101 children have been returned from the temporarily occupied Kherson Oblast this year.
CENTRAL OBLASTS
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Two houses and a private enterprise were damaged by shelling of Nikopol on the night of May 27. A fire broke out at the site of one of the hits. No one was killed or injured.
Poltava Oblast
Oleksandr Kanibolotskyi, a 64-year-old resident of Poltava, plans to ride a bicycle for a thousand kilometers to raise money for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is the third time the man has supported the military in this way: in 2022 he rode 500 kilometers, in 2023 – 850, and in 2024 he plans to cover 1000.
WESTERN OBLASTS
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
Forty children from the village of Chornobaivka arrived in Kosiv district, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, for a health improvement program. Interesting leisure activities were organized for them.
