Northern oblasts
Kyiv
Memorials have been erected to the “Ghosts of Kyiv” who died in the Battle of Kyiv in the winter and spring of 2022. They were erected for the heroes of Ukraine, Colonel Viacheslav Yerko, Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Brynzhal, Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Liutashyn, Captain Viacheslav Radionov, Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Kokhanskyi, and Senior Lieutenant Roman Pasulka.
Since July, more than 60 monuments related to the history and culture of the russian federation or the ussr have been dismantled in Kyiv. The only ones left are those that have the status of monuments of national importance.
Kyiv Oblast
Ukrainian tennis player and UNITED 24 ambassador Elina Svitolina visited Irpin. She talked to the residents of the Münchhausen residential complex. To restore this building, 127 thousand dollars were raised, 20 thousand of which were donated by the athlete.
A presentation of Olha Feshchenko’s book “Living Stories of War ” took place in Borodianka. The meeting was attended by people who suffered as a result of russian aggression in the Borodianka community and became the heroes of the book stories. They shared their stories about the terrible occupation they experienced.
Zhytomyr Oblast
An officer of the National Police in the Zhytomyr Oblast, who promoted the “russian world” and publicly justified russia’s war against Ukraine, was served a notices of suspicion and dismissed from his post.
Chernihiv Oblast
On November 7, russian troops shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast eight times from their territory. Border guards recorded 84 explosions. The Novhorod-Siversk, Semenivka, Snovsk, and Horodnia communities came under fire.
The Chernihiv City Council plans to allocate half a billion hryvnias from the city budget to the military in 2024.
Sumy Oblast
On November 7, the russian military opened fire 26 times on the territory of the Sumy Oblast; 108 explosions were recorded. Five communities were shelled.
On November 7, in the Shostka Raion, Sumy Oblast, State Emergency Service employees came under fire while extinguishing a fire that was also caused by a russian shelling attack.
A guided missile was destroyed in the Sumy sector last night.
In the Sumy Oblast, border guards neutralized an FPV drone using an anti-drone gun.
At night, the russian army shelled the Yunakivka community with MLRS. In total, 11 explosions were recorded.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
On November 7, the russian military fired 703 times at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Lyman-Kupiansk sector.
The forced evacuation of families with children from the Kupiansk Raion continues. More than 200 children have already been evacuated.
The Kharkiv Oblast has allocated almost 250 million hryvnias to protect critical infrastructure facilities.
More than 900 Points of Invincibility have already been deployed in the Kharkiv Oblast.
The photo project “Ukraine: Cultural Awakening” by French photographer Michael Garrett was launched in the Kharkiv Oblast in November. The event was attended by residents of the region who suffered losses in this war.
Donetsk Oblast
The defense forces repelled 17 attacks by the russian army near Maryinka, and 14 attacks near Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk Oblast.
“White Angels” evacuated the last two children from Yelizavetivka, Donetsk Oblast. 128 children still remain in other frontline settlements of the Donetsk Oblast, where evacuation has been announced.
Russian shelling damaged the equipment at a thermal power plant in the Donetsk Oblast.
Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,762 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,290. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
In the Lysychansk sector, 3 streets of Siversk were shelled. The Lyman community came under fire 4 times.
A resident of Kostiantynivka, who monitored the deployment of HIMARS and tracked the movement of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Kostiantynivka, was served a notice of suspicion. She faces up to 8 years in prison.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
In the Donetsk direction, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka were shelled in the Marinka community and Berdychi, Stepove and Novokalynove in the Ocheretyne one.
A house in Halytsynivka and six houses in Lysivka were damaged in the Novogrodivka community. In the Kurakhove community, Kurakhove, Trudove, Hanivka and Vesely Hay were under fire.
The russian military attacked Avdiivka 13 times during November 7, in particular, carried out 12 airstrikes, damaging six apartment buildings.
The last 16 employees of the plant, who ensured its conservation, were evacuated from the Avdiivka coke chemical plant. In the only surviving warehouse of the enterprise, there are still 17 residents who refuse to evacuate.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
Four private houses, a high-rise building and an outbuilding were damaged in the Horlivka direction in the Chasiv Yar community. Three houses were damaged in the Toretsk community: two in Toretsk and 1 in Zalizne. Ten houses were damaged in Nykyforivka of the Soledar community.
The russian military shelled the Bakhmut direction more than half a thousand times on November 7.
Defense forces repelled six russian attacks in the direction of Bakhmut.
Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion
In the Volnovakha direction, three people were killed in Bohatyr of the Velyka Novosilka community, Ten houses were damaged.
Luhansk Oblast
Mykhailo Filiponenko, the former head of the “People’s Militia of the LNR”, the so-called deputy of the “People’s Council of the LNR” was blown up in Luhansk in a car on November 8. The intelligence officers carried out the operation to eliminate him together with representatives of the resistance movement. He was involved in the organization of torture camps in the occupied territories of Luhansk Oblast.
Southern oblasts
Mukolaiv Oblast
On November 7, russian troops shelled the water area of the Ochakiv community twice. Also, on November 7 and in the morning of November 8, the coast of the Kutsurub community was under artillery fire. There were no casualties or injuries.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Yesterday, the enemy hit 25 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. 157 strikes were recorded. Local residents – men aged 27 and 54, were injured as a result of the shelling on Verkhnia Tersa. They were sent to a medical institution. 22 reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities.
Odesa Oblast
Experts have calculated the damage from the russian Onyx missile attack on October 7 on Chornomorsk in the Odesa Oblast: the amount is more than UAH 143.7 million. The total area of littered areas is more than four thousand square meters.
In Odessa, developers Kostyantyn and Maksym Boriak modified special “invisibility cloaks” for the military. They block heat radiation, make fighters invisible, protect against fire and wet snow. The material for the raincoat is ordered abroad, the price of one such raincoat is UAH 20,000. However, it is cheaper than the cost of the American analogue of such a cloak.
Kherson Oblast
The russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 108 times during the day. Shells hit the territory of the plant in Kherson and an engineering structure in the Kherson Raion. One person died, another was injured.
russian troops dropped explosives from a drone in Novoberyslav of the Kherson Oblast. The premises of the “Point of Invincibility” were damaged, and the postal car was mutilated. There are no casualties or injuries.
This afternoon, several powerful explosions were heard in the Dnipro district of Kherson.
A man was blown up on a russian landmine in Shyroka Balka of the Kherson Oblast. As a result of the detonation of the projectile, he received an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his leg.
In the Kherson Oblast, the russian military is trying to block the coast of the Dnipro River. However, it did not prevent the Ukrainian forces from transferring additional personnel and material resources to positions on the left bank.
During the last few days, members of the “Yellow Ribbon” resistance movement distributed more than 150 leaflets and yellow ribbons on the streets of temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka, burned russian flags and painted graffiti.
Central oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
russian troops shelled the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast twice on the night of November 8. The Chervonohryhorivka and Marganets communities were fired from artillery. The consequences of the shelling are being clarified. There are no casualties or injuries.
Pavlograd in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is going to be renamed. The Ukrainian Institute of National Memory included the name in the list because it is associated with Paul I, the son of the russian empress Catherine II.
12 saplings of apples, plums and cherries were planted by volunteers from Germany in the village of Oleksandrivka. They were brought from Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. The landing place was not chosen by chance. A German colony was founded here 162 years ago.
Kirovohrad Oblast
In the Kirovohrad Oblast, the largest number of businesses opened in three years. Most of them are in the spheres of trade and provision of individual services – for example, medicine and cosmetology. In third place is the opening of cafes and restaurants.
Cherkasy Oblast
More than UAH 20 million were allocated from the budget of the Cherkasy community for the purchase of 1,000 drones. Technical characteristics and models of drones have been agreed with the military.
A series of free trainings “Circle of protection – non-traumatic communication with the military” will be held in Cherkasy in November. This will allow the people of Cherkasy to prepare for the return of the military men home and establish effective communication with them.
In just three weeks, students from Cherkasy collected more than 1.5 tons of fodder for wounded and injured animals rescued at the front. This fodder was donated to the “Time of Hope” charitable foundation, which ensures the delivery of the most necessary items for the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Poltava Oblast
Residents of the Myrhorod community, whose houses were damaged due russian shelling, will receive financial assistance from the community’s budget. UAH 1.7 million were allocated for this.
Free dentures and treatment for military personnel are provided at the oblast dentistry center. The service can be used within the framework of the oblast program of support for defenders. To receive the service, military personnel can contact the center directly. Currently, 340 defenders have undergone treatment.
Vinnytsia Oblast
Vinnytsia developers make drones, guidance systems, electronic compasses, initiation boards and much more for defenders. Some parts are bought, the rest are made by devepers themselves. All devices are tested before being sent to the front line.
Western Oblasts
Volyn Oblast
The action “First drones, then stadiums” took place near the Volyn Oblast Council. The participants demanded the allocation of budget funds to aid the military and a meeting with the head of the Volyn Oblast Military Administration.
Lviv Oblast
Today, a monument to a soviet cosmonaut was dismantled in Lviv. The monument was erected in the 80s of the last century on the street that was named after Valentina Tereshkova during the USSR. Now the former cosmonaut is a member of the state duma of the russian federation, who supports russia’s war against Ukraine.
“Why is the university management silent when a teacher calls for violence?” At the entrance to the Lviv Polytechnic, where Iryna Farion teaches, leaflets were posted calling for her dismissal. The day before, she stated that she cannot call military personnel who communicate in russian as Ukrainians.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Even if there is no electricity in the Khmelnytskyi community, there will be water in the taps of the city’s residents. This year, unlike last year, powerful generators of over 100 kW have been installed at water pumping stations.
More than fifty people from seven communities of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast became participants in the “Money for Work” program of the “Caritas” charity fund. As part of it, the unemployed can participate in public works, which are not paid for by the state, but by benefactors.
Kamianets-Podilskyi
The Kamianets-Podilskyi community actively helps the military, both from the funds of the community budget and through donations from residents. As of September 2023, more than UAH 114 million has been allocated from the community budget for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A charity art marathon was held in the Euromaidan Heroes’ Park, during which UAH 52,000 were collected. The collected funds will be used to help soldiers from Kamianets.
Chernivtsi Oblast
Khotyn signed a partnership agreement with Aluksne in Latvia. Cities will jointly participate in European projects.
Students of the Kobolchyn Gymnasium bought warm clothes, hygiene products and much more for the defenders of Ukraine. For this purpose, schoolchildren, together with teachers and parents, organized charity fairs in the institution for several weeks.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
Families of soldiers from Prykarpattia, who died fighting for Ukraine, were presented with state awards. For personal courage shown in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, the Order of Courage of the III degree was awarded (posthumously) to seven soldiers.
Two aid packages were handed over to educational institutions of Prykarpattia. Everything necessary for the proper arrangement of bomb shelters in the schools of the oblast was provided by two international partners – the organizations UNICEF and Save the children.
