Memorials have been erected to the “Ghosts of Kyiv” who died in the Battle of Kyiv in the winter and spring of 2022. Today, a monument to a soviet cosmonaut was dismantled in Lviv. The monument was erected in the 80s of the last century on the street that was named after Valentina Tereshkova during the USSR. Now the former cosmonaut is a member of the state duma of the russian federation, who supports russia’s war against Ukraine.

For personal courage shown in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, the Order of Courage of the III degree was awarded (posthumously) to seven soldiers.
