Northern oblasts

Kyiv

The russian missile attack on October 10 caused more than 2 million hryvnias of damage to the capital’s Shevchenko Park. 6 trees, 106.4 square meters of lawn were destroyed, plus 5 chestnuts were damaged. Experts also took soil samples to determine the level of contamination after the missile hit.

In the center of Kyiv, near the building of the National Transport University, a monument to the russian poet Alexander Pushkin was demolished. The dismantling was dedicated to the lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Denys Antipov, alias “Buk” – a public activist, a teacher of the Korean language at the Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko, who was killed in May in a battle with the russians.

The Alley of Memory of the Defenders of Ukraine will be opened in Kyiv. It will be opened on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine near the State Historical and Memorial Lukyanivsky Reserve.

Kyiv Oblast

In the morning, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down a kamikaze drone of russian occupiers in the Kyiv Oblast.

Bohuslav

Bohuslav residents continue to help the military at the front. Thus, Bohuslav volunteer headquarters has already sent food packages with goodies to the “Carpathian Sich” battalion. Next up is a new collection. This time, there is a need for vegetables and spices.

The “Active Community” team in Bohuslav continues to collect and recreate war stories. Therefore, today the coordinators talked to Bohuslav volunteer Maryna Hohulia, who started her activities back in 2014, and recorded an interview with her. In addition, preparations for the documentary performance in Bohuslav are underway. The actors have individual rehearsals with a stage director from the capital, who helps with the organization of the performance.

Zhytomyr Oblast

32 Ukrainian defenders were returned from captivity, among them fighters of the brigade from the Zhytomyr Oblast.

Today, Zhytomyr said goodbye to two defenders. Yes, two fighters returned on the shield. Volodymyr Savytskyi from Zhytomyr – an officer, a participant of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), joined the ranks of one of the airborne assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. Another resident of Zhytomyr, Ruslan Formaniuk, who served in one of the mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was killed in action in the war. Eternal memory to Heroes.

Oleksandr Shvetsov from Zhytomyr completed his walking super marathon from Odesa to Yaremche in eight days. His goal was to raise funds for vehicles for the military. As a result, Ukrainians transferred almost 3 million hryvnias. The ATO veteran, with a flag in his hand, covered the 800,000-meter route on crutches, because he lost his left leg in the battle near Luhansk in 2014.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk visited the Oblast to inspect places of compact living. She visited the Andrushivka community, where internally displaced persons from Bakhmut, Berdyansk, Kherson, and Luhansk live in a social hostel.

Chernihiv Oblast

On October 11, russian troops shelled the border territories of the Semenivka community. In total, the border guards counted 17 hits.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, honored serviceman Dmytro Shumskyi, who shot down two cruise missiles in the Chernihiv sector.

Yesterday, the Chernihiv Oblast said goodbye to two defenders: Lieutenant Oleksandr Proyav and soldier Oleksiy Burakov, who fell defending the freedom and independence of Ukraine.

Volunteers in Pryluky have already made more than a thousand trench candles. They collect corrugated cardboard and cans from citizens and private entrepreneurs, and a local beekeeper helps to fill them with wax.

Sumy Oblast

In total, the russians carried out 13 attacks on the Sumy Oblast yesterday. 206 hits were recorded.

The russian military carried out an airstrike on the civilian agricultural enterprise of the Velyka Pysarivka community. They launched 12 missiles from a helicopter that did not cross the state border of Ukraine.

The territory of the Seredyna-Buda community was shelled. Private houses and property of civilians were destroyed.

They also fired from self-propelled artillery mounts on the territory of the Yunakivka community. A private house of civilians and several fences were damaged.

Mortars were fired at the territory of the Shalyhyne community in the evening. In addition, the settlement of Khodine of the Shalyhyne community was shelled with MLRS.

The heating season in Okhtyrka will start with a delay of one month – approximately from November 15. This is the forecast of the mayor Pavlo Kuzmenko. The work to restore the thermal power plant destroyed by the russians is still ongoing.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past day, the russian occupiers shelled the settlements of the Kharkiv Oblast, located close to the line of contact and near the border with the russian federation in the Kupiansk, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv raions.

In particular, the following settlements were hit: Strilecha, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Vovchanski Khutory, Starytsia, Dvorichna, and Dvorichne.

Mine clearance and restoration of critical infrastructure damaged by the occupiers continues on the de-occupied territory of the Oblast. Over the past day, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service defused 668 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

On October 11, the russians killed 6 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast: 4 in Lyman and 2 in Terny. 1 more person was wounded.

In total, since the onset of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, 979 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast have lost their lives, and another 2,377 have been wounded.

The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is still unknown.

Kramatorsk

he local bakery resumed its work in the Sviatohirsk community. 300 loaves of bread will be baked in the bakery every day and will be given free of charge to low-income and limited-mobility people, and the rest will be sold in the community.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the east of the Pokrovsk Raion, the russians shelled the city of Avdiivka twice in the morning with the Grad MLRS; tank shelling and aerial explosions were also recorded. As a result, at least 7 dead and 8 wounded. The russians hit the central market, where there were many people at the time.

In addition, periodic shelling of Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, and Novomykhailivka was recorded in the Maryinka community, there were no casualties.

Residents of the Hrodivka community of the Pokrovsk Raion hope for the resumption of the mobile operator’s work. Russian missile terrorism caused communication failures.

Teachers of the Pokrovsk community received modern laptops for organizing a quality educational process. This took place within the framework of the “Laptop for every teacher” initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science together with Google with the support of UNESCO. In total, 30 modern laptops were given to the teachers of the Pokrovsk community. They are equipped with everything necessary for remote lessons: a camera, a powerful processor, and the ability to connect to the Internet.

Bakhmut

In the Horlivka sector, the russians carried out two airstrikes on Bakhmut. The consequences are being clarified.

In the Soledar community, the enemy shelled Vasiukivka: 8 houses, a gas pipeline and power lines were damaged. The settlements of Yakovlivka, Bakhmutske, and Paraskoviivka in this community also came under shelling. There were no casualties.

In the Toretsk community, a house was damaged as a result of an artillery shelling of Pivnichne at night. In the Svitlodarsk community explosions thundered at the Maiorsk station. No information about the casualties is available yet.

Mariupol

Occupiers set up mobile checkpoints in Mariupol. The military commandant’s office checks the drivers’ documents and phones. As a result of the fake referendum, the verification of men has become more open.

Residents complain that the occupiers cut the heating batteries, and the promised replacement is not done. Some people have been waiting for two months. At the same time, the collaboration authorities decided to turn on the water supply in the heating system. Mariupol residents felt the consequences of the experiment – their apartments became flooded.

Luhansk Oblast

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are advancing in the Luhansk Oblast despite the prepared defense of the russians who mine everything they can.

The AFU in the Luhansk Oblast have already faced the first wave of partially mobilized russians. These are people of civilian professions, some of them served in the army.

The occupiers gave the local population a little more than two months to receive russian passports. From January 1, any payments – salary, social security, money transfers – will be made only if there is an individual personal account. However, to open it, you need to have a russian federation passport.

Southern oblasts

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Last night, the russian military fired about seven S-300 missiles at Zaporizhzhia and its suburbs. Two of them hit one of the districts of the oblast center. Five missiles hit the suburbs: a residential building was partially destroyed, rescuers pulled three people from under the rubble. So far, one death has been reported. One of the russian missiles hit a football pitch. Windows were blown out in three nearby high-rise buildings, two educational institutions and a medical institution.

As a result of a missile attack, a private sector house was partially destroyed in the suburbs of Zaporizhzhia. The family, which was hiding in the cellar, was freed from under the rubble by rescuers. 

Kherson Oblast 

In the Pivdenny Buh direction, the russian army continues shelling the positions of Ukrainian units to deter a counteroffensive along the entire contact line. Areas of more than 20 settlements were affected by fire. In particular, Velike Artakove, Davidiv Brid, Blagodativka, Sukhy Stavok, Shiroke, Ternovi Pody, Soldatske, Pravdyne and Myrne.

There are Iranian instructors in Hladkivka and Zalizniy Port of the Kherson Oblast who teach russians how to use Shahed-136 kamikaze drones and directly monitor strikes on Mykolaiv and Odesa.

The russian army continues to station personnel and equipment in schools in the Kherson Oblast, using children as “human shields”. 400 ex-prisoners and now mercenaries of the “Wagner” PMK are based in Myrolyubivka alongside the children. Also, more than half a hundred russian soldiers are in the Hladkiv educational institution.

The Armed Forces liberated 5 settlements in Beryslav Raion of Kherson Oblast: Novovasylivka, Novogrihorivka, Nova Kamianka, Trifonivka, and Chervone. Stabilization measures to restore social and critical infrastructure are underway. In total, in October, the Ukrainian Armed Forces returned 29 settlements in the Kherson Oblast to the Ukrainian flag. In total, 75 settlements in the region were liberated since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian pilots have carried out nine strikes on concentrations of manpower, equipment and weapons in the Beryslav and Mykolaiv Raions.

SSU officers detained the so-called “head of the administration” of de-occupied Novovoskresensk in the Kherson Oblast, who was agitating his fellow villagers to side with the occupation authorities and providing the russian military with information about members of the resistance movement. The investigators also collected indisputable evidence of the collaborative activities of the local council deputy from the “Oppositional platform for life”, who assumed the position of “first deputy head of the Ukrainian Central Committee” in the city of Oleshka.

Activists of the “Yellow Ribbon” movement remind the russian military every day that Kherson is Ukraine. They put up leaflets warning Kherson residents not to take russian passports. After all, the only opportunity that a russian passport gives is to be mobilized into the tussian army to defend their occupation on the battlefield. 

In Kherson Oblast, 1,167 residents of de-occupied settlements received monetary assistance of 1,200 hryvnias each. Currently, Ukrposhta makes payments in Pervomaiskyi, Bila Krynytsia, Kariernyi, and Kamiani.

Mykolayiv Oblast

Eight Kalibr-type cruise missiles, an X-101 and an operational-tactical level drone were destroyed over the Mykolaiv Oblast yesterday.

The enemy repeatedly struck the Pervomaysk community with rocket launchers. The hits were on the object of civil infrastructure and outside the settlement. There are no casualties.

At night, the enemy shelled the outskirts of Mykolaiv. No damage was recorded.

In the morning, the enemy inflicts artillery strikes on the Kutsurub community. As a result, more than 15 residential buildings were destroyed in one of the settlements. Also, there is currently no electricity, water and gas supply. Without victims and victims.

Today, the Shiroke community came under enemy fire. Hits were recorded on agricultural land. There are no casualties.

In the morning, nine enemy kamikaze drones “Shahed-136” were shot down over Mykolayiv Oblast by the forces and means of air defense of the “South” air command.

Odesa Oblast 

At least 4 enemy attack helicopters (probably Ka-52), which were providing fire support to ground units of the occupation forces in the southern direction, were destroyed by the forces and means of air defense of the “South” air command in the south of Ukraine this morning. According to preliminary data, one helicopter fell on the territory freed from the raiders, the rest – behind the front line. Combat work was carried out on 2 more helicopters, so there is a high probability that the number of confirmed downed helicopters will increase.

On the 12th of October, the mayor of Odesa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, brought the Odesa dossier to Paris for the inclusion of the historic center of the city in the Main List of UNESCO World Heritage under the accelerated procedure.

Central Oblast 

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of the 12th of October, russian troops from “Grad” and heavy artillery shelled the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. A 6-year-old girl and her mother were injured by shelling in Nikopol. The child received a traumatic leg amputation. In the future, she will need surgery and rehabilitation, possible prosthetics. In addition to them, another woman was admitted to the hospital. Houses, gas furnaces, power lines, and two enterprises were mutilated in the city. 

On the 10th of October, three employees of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine were killed as a result of rocket fire in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Russian troops struck the energy infrastructure in the Kamian district of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The fire continues, there is destruction.

Four soldiers from Pavlograd died in the battles for Ukraine. They are 37-year-old Dmytro Halych, 50-year-old Viktor Storozhenko, 40-year-old Roman Obruchev and 43-year-old Volodymyr Yankin.

It is based on the photographs of famous Mariupol photographers, who showed the life of a prosperous European city and the consequences of its barbaric destruction by “asvabaditiels”. Ukrainian photo artist Oleksandr Vodolazov donated it to the library on behalf of Mariupol photographers. 

Poltava Oblast

Three soldiers from the Poltava Oblast, who were considered missing, returned from captivity. Dmytro Koretskyi, Oleksandr Bershatskyi and Vitaly Koval served in the 72nd separate mechanized brigade «Black Zaporozhtsi». Currently, all military personnel are undergoing rehabilitation.

From October 11 to 13, the State Emergency Service plans to destroy the ammunition that was found yesterday in the territory of the Poltava Oblast. Thus, 117 artillery shells with a caliber from 10 to 30 mm were found in the Khorol community. An 82-mm mortar mine from the past war is found near Hadiach. And on the territory of the Chutove community near the village of Griakove, the remains of an enemy S-300 missile were found.

The Ukrainian military received 20 residential modules. This is the first batch, it is planned to buy more. These modules were purchased with funds from the Poltava Oblast budget. Also, 400 peacoats were handed over to the soldiers. 

A new mural appeared near the Mi-2 helicopter in the Prydniprovskyi Park in Kremenchuk. Kremenchuk artist Diana Ruban depicted hands stitching together the Ukrainian flag on a one-story building. The artist had to complete work on it during a long air alarm.

Vinnytsia Oblast

Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk Raion

In Vinnytsia, anti-aircraft defense shot down two Kh-101 missiles and one Kalibr missile. Fighter aircraft and mobile fire groups were involved. The enemy carried out two “waves” of attacks from the waters of the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea and other regions by TU-95 aircraft with Kh-101 or Kh-555 cruise missiles. The range of their use can reach upto 5.5 thousand kilometers.

On October 11, compatriots said goodbye to defender of Ukraine Oleksandr Babiy in Pavlivka of the Kalynivka community of the Khmilnyk Raion.

In the Koziatyn atelier of the Khmilnyk Raion of the Vinnytsia Oblast, underwear and transformer sports suits are sewn for wounded soldiers. The clothes, which are easily taken apart, are given by volunteers to hospitals where wounded soldiers are recovering. In addition, the atelier sews plate carriers, cartridge pouches and balaclava masks.

Western oblasts

Rivne Oblast

The situation on the border with the republic of belarus is stable and under control. The border is not violated. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, the border service, as well as law enforcement agencies are carrying out increased control over the entire area. 

The 104th territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of the Rivne Oblast received a cargo semi-trailer for use. Mykola, a resident of Rivne, handed it over to the needs of the military. This will help territorial defense units to quickly and effectively perform the assigned combat tasks. 

In Varash, they make “light” for our defenders. Production takes place in the city complex rehabilitation center for persons with disabilities. Employees and parents of pupils of the institution volunteer there. The other day, volunteers of the center handed over 140 trench candles, warm socks, underwear and food for the military to Kharkiv Oblast.

In Rivne, in a test mode, the electricity will be turned off for high-rise buildings and they will be connected to generators. Rivne mayor Oleksandr Tretiak explained this by the need to synchronize the actions of rescuers, energy workers, utility workers and authorities.

The Rivne Regional Children’s Library collects Ukrainian children’s books, which will be sent to the de-occupied settlements of the Kharkiv Oblast. Such an initiative was started by the Kharkiv Literary Museum as part of the project “After the occupation. Books for children”. The Literatur museum invites you to collect new Ukrainian children’s books.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

In Khmelnytskyi, air defense forces shot down the enemy “Shahed-136” of the terrorist country.

Specialists of JSC “Khmelnytskoblenergo” are continuing the work to eliminate the consequences of missile strikes on the power substation. Currently, all substations served by the company are connected.

However, about 1,000 subscribers (less than 1%) still have problems with electricity supply due to malfunctions caused by voltage drops and technological disturbances in subscriber networks to which consumers are connected. Power engineers find out the causes of malfunctions.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Kamianets-Podilskyi mayor Mykhailo Positko instructed the managers of management companies, heads of condominiums, managers and elders of buildings to pay due attention to the accessibility of shelters for residents. According to him, the Office of Emergency Situations is working on updating the shelter scheme based on complaints and inspections. Four new threat alert systems were purchased.

Forty-three children from two orphanages in Odesa were evacuated to Chernivtsi. And soon sixty more children are expected to arrive in the city. In Odesa, the lives of children and teachers are under constant threat due to shelling and kamikaze drones, which are used by russian terrorists to attack the city. They were sheltered in the Chernivtsi center of the “I am the future of Ukraine” charitable foundation.

In the Nedoboivtsi territorial community, residents collected 200 food boxes for local residents who are currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia Oblast

37 children deported by the occupiers, who were returned home, were resettled in Zakarpattia. At the end of August, the children were forcibly taken from the Kharkiv Oblast to the russian village of Kabardinka (near Gelendzhik), despite the fact that all of them have parents. Currently, with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration, the families have been reunited and are in a safe place. They were placed in shelters for internally displaced persons in Zakarpattia.

Almost 20,000 brooms are made a year by the residents of the village of Chomonin in Zakarpattia. They are knitted from sorghum. It is a plant similar to corn due to its long stem and wide leaves. People grow it in their fields. On average, the cost of one broom is 100 hryvnias.
