Northern regions
Kyiv Oblast
As a result of the full-scale russian invasion, 209 educational institutions were damaged in the Kyiv Oblast, 11 of which were completely destroyed, and the rest are in need of repair. 400 million hryvnias have been allocated for this purpose from the state budget. Such repairs have already been completed in 3 schools of the Bucha District.
In Makariv, Kyiv Oblast, a bridge across the Zdvyzh River is being restored. It is planned to start full-scale traffic across this bridge in the near future.
Chernihiv Oblast
Near the village of Shestovytsia, rescuers continue to destroy ammunition by detonation.
Mayor of Chernihiv Vladyslav Atroshenko said that they would return to the issue of street renaming after the victory.
The municipality adopted a window repair assistance program for low-income residents of Chernihiv.
Not far from the village of Kolychivka, they found the body of a woman who was killed as a result of russian shelling while trying to evacuate from Chernihiv on March 9.
Sumy Oblast
As a result of yesterday’s shelling by the russians of the Bilopillia community, the Atynske psycho-neurological boarding school was damaged again.
At about 4:30 today, the russians fired mortars and rocket artillery at the Glukhiv, Khotyn, Shalyhyne and Mykolaivka communities. There are no casualties, the information about the damage is being clarified.
Eastern regions
Kharkiv Oblast
In Kharkiv, the enemy launched artillery strikes on the Kyivskyi district at night. Only civilian infrastructure was affected. Several floors of a multi-story building were partially destroyed. The roof, the service level, and the damaged apartments on the 8th and 9th floors of another residential high-rise building were also destroyed. There are no casualties.
In the Oblast at night, the enemy attacked the Bohodukhiv and Chuhuiv districts.
In the village of Zolochiv, as a result of shelling, private households, outbuildings, and garages were on fire.
In Chuhuiv, as a result of shelling, windows were damaged in a 5-story residential building. The residents of the building were evacuated.
During the day, the Izium District was also subjected to artillery bombardment. Landfills and winter wheat on a field of 250 hectares were on fire.
During the day, a 67-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were killed in the Oblast as a result of the russian aggression. Two people were wounded.
Donetsk Oblast
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Novomykolaivka, Dibrovne, Kostyantynivka, Bohorodychne, Mazanivka, Kurulka, Chepil, Virnopillia, Nova Dmytrivka, and others. The enemy also launched an airstrike at the area near Bohorodychne.
In the Donetsk Oblast, enemy units fired on civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Donetske, Siversk, Verkhniokamianske, Hryhorivka, Ivano-Daryivka, Spirne and other settlements.
The enemy is trying to conduct an assault near Hryhorivka, the fighting continues. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled the enemy’s assault operations in the areas of the Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Serebrianka settlements.
In the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia sectors, the occupiers shelled the positions of our troops using mortars, tube and rocket artillery, in particular in the areas of the settlements of Kamianka, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, and Prechystivka. Airstrikes were carried out near Novodanylivka and Novoandriivka.
Ukrainian soldiers nullified all attempts of enemy assaults in the areas of Kamianka, Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar settlements. The invaders suffered losses and retreated.
Over the past day, the russian occupiers killed 2 civilian residents of the Donetsk Oblast. Twelve more were wounded. On July 17, the russians killed 2 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast: in Avdiivka and Novyi Donbas. Another 10 people were wounded.
Since the beginning of the russian invasion of Ukraine, 625 civilians have been killed and 1,608 wounded as a result of shelling and bombing in the Donetsk Oblast.
Volnovakha
The enemy is shelling Vuhledar every day, but there is no progress. Russian invaders retreated from the village of Yehorivka.
The Ukrainian soldiers are carrying out active counterattacks. Now the villages of Nikolske, Volodymyrivka, the town of Vuhledar and the village of Pavlivka are under fire.
The occupiers distribute humanitarian aid and tell false information on camera about the situation in the community.
In Volnovakha, people are very angry with the local authorities of Lubinets’, who abandoned them to their own devices.
The situation is very complicated.
Kramatorsk
At 4 o’clock in the morning, the enemy bombarded the city again. The rockets of the multiple-launch rocket systems hit the industrial zone. There are no data on the casualties.
The overall situation in the community remains alarming.

Bakhmut
In the Bakhmut sector, shelling was recorded near Berestove, Kurdiumivka, Vesela Dolyna, Soledar, Bakhmut, Vershyna, Travneve, and the territory of the TPP. The enemy carried out assaults in the areas of Novoluhanske, Semyhiria and Vuhlehirsk TPP, but was unsuccessful and retreated. Missile and air strikes were launched at the area near Berestove.

Mariupol
The russians are conducting aggressive document checks and filtration measures in Mariupol.
Yesterday, in the area of the Hurov Park, the occupiers arrested a 22-year-old girl for wearing blue and yellow ribbons in her hair. Publicity and the efforts of caring citizens allowed to bring the girl back home.
An unknown guy was photographed with the Ukrainian flag against the backdrop of the Drama Theater, which had been bombed by the Russians.
Luhansk Oblast
The russians are trying to advance from Lysychansk towards Bakhmut. Russians are sending Ukrainians from temporarily occupied regions to war.
The main target of the invaders after Lysychansk is Bakhmut. But the way to this city runs through that small territory of the Luhansk Oblast, which still holds the line.
The occupiers fire rockets and use aviation to break through the defenses. Just yesterday, settlements on the border between the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts withstood five airstrikes. Unfortunately, everyone is already accustomed to artillery and multiple launch rocket systems. 13 such attacks were recorded on July 17. The russians tried to advance in the direction of Verkhniokamianka, but suffered losses and retreated. The enemy’s offensive was also repulsed near Bilohorivka – there, too, the enemy lists those who managed to return to their positions.
The humanitarian situation in the occupied territories is deteriorating. There is not enough food and medicines. There are no centralized communications in Severodonetsk.
Southern Oblasts
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Yesterday, July 17, around 14:00 – 15:00, residents of Zaporizhzhya and Zaporizhzhya district heard a series of explosions. The Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration reported that russian military shelled settlements on the contact line with multiple rocket launchers. Early reports indicate that there are no injured or dead. The infrastructure was not damaged. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out in the fields.
Russian invaders strengthen defensive positions in the occupied territories: they accumulate troops, equipment and defensive stocks. In the occupied Melitopol, the invaders are stepping up security.
The number of people evacuating from the Kherson Oblast to Zaporizhzhia has increased. For the moment, more than 21,000 Kherson residents have registered in the hub for internally displaced persons. In total, during the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, 173,673 people registered there.
Kherson Oblast
Skadovsk
The invaders ransacked the recreation center “Gilea”, “Halychyna” and “Misfora” in the village of Lazurny.
The russians are fleeing left and right in civil vehicles, dressed in civilian clothes. Shots were heard tonight, new invaders (supposedly chechens) drove in, and the infighting began – they shot at each other.
The aggressors walk around the city center of Skadovsk and warn of rocket attacks.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy ammunition depots. This time it was a warehouse in Lazurny, located in the “Chaika” sanatorium.
The mayor of the city continues to work in the remote mode.
People help each other as much as they can, they stand firm
Over and over again the air defense is triggered, people hide in shelters.
Nothing works in the city, sometimes there is an open market and some stores that do not have all the products. Prices are sky high, people are just scraping by. There is only one pharmacy and a medicine exchange. Not a single bank and ATMs work, in order to exchange money, you have to pay high interest on the amount of change.

Mykolaiv Oblast
During July 17, 14 people were injured in the Mykolaiv Oblast.
About 3:00, ten explosions were heard in Mykolaiv. There are reports of missiles hitting a car dealership and an agricultural machinery showroom.
The russian army shells the settlements of Mykolaiv Oblast using S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. The missiles are designed to hit air targets.
The russian military brought a film crew to Snigurivka. To create a “picture”, they shelled the adjacent territory of one of the apartment buildings on the outskirts of the city. Four people died as a result of the shelling.
Today about 16:30 the townspeople heard and saw rockets flying over Mykolaiv.
Odesa Oblast
At 11:00, the russian army fired four missiles at Odesa from a Su-35 fighter jet from the Black Sea. One missile was shot down by the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the sea surface. Two missiles hit a military infrastructure facility. Another one hit the bridge across the Dniester estuary. Firefighting continues. No casualties have been reported.
The city authorities report that the situation is currently under control, but the threat of rocket attacks remains.
People are stick together and active, they are engaged in volunteer activities, participate in charity events.
The coordinator of the Volunteer Initiative “Active Community” provided information to citizens on receiving psychological, social and humanitarian assistance.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
The missile launches on the Dnipro on Friday cost the russians 78 million dollars. The fire at the factory, which was hit by rockets, was extinguished for more than 38 hours, and 90 rescuers were involved.
Yesterday afternoon, the enemy shelled the border territories of the Marianske village of the Zelenodol community, namely more than 70 hectares of wheat fields.
Two people died as a result of shelling in Nikopol the day before yesterday. One injured woman is in hospital. Due to the enemy attack, a school building, a vocational school, a pharmacy, an administrative and warehouse building, a bus, two cars, 12 five-story buildings, and 13 private houses were damaged in the city. Nikopol was shelled again tonight. A dozen private residential buildings were destroyed. Water and gas pipelines on one of the streets were damaged. The hospital, industrial and energy enterprises, and the port were affected.
Last night, the occupiers targeted the territory of the Marganets community: 9 residential buildings and the power grid were damaged there. The occupiers also shelled the Apostolivska community.
Foreign rescuers and firemen and paramedics arrived in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. Specialists from the Project Joint Guardian organization came from the USA and Australia. Already in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast, they exchanged experience with Ukrainian employees of the State Emergency Service, and also discussed issues of further development and cooperation.
In Dnipro, resettled women are invited to free driving courses. The training will last from July 25th to 28th. Two groups of five people are recruited. The courses are organized by the Automobile Federation of Ukraine together with the Center for Motorsports and Emergency Training.
Kirovohrad Oblast
An air alert was announced in the oblast – there was a threat of a missile strike. In general, the situation in the communities is calm and under control.
In Kirovohrad Oblast, early crops have already been harvested on almost 15% of the area. The harvest is not worse than predicted. The head of the Kirovohrad Oblast Military Administration, Andrii Raykovych, notes that now is the time to reassess and reformat the market of agricultural products and processing, and these are industries that give a return quite quickly.
In Kirovohrad Oblast, six communities of immigrants from Kropyvnytskyi and Znamyanka received mini-grants to improve living conditions. The winners received up to 45 thousand hryvnias of financial assistance for the purchase of household appliances, as well as for other needs for a total of 270 thousand hryvnias.
On July 18th, the people of Krypny said goodbye to the 29-year-old fallen soldier Oleksandr Mikhalchenko. On the Alley of Honorable Burials of the Far Eastern Cemetery, relatives, friends, comrades of the defender and caring residents of Krypny came to pay their respects to the hero for preserving Ukrainian statehood, repelling and restraining the armed aggression of the russian occupiers. Bishop Mark of Kropyvnytskyi and Golovanivskyi of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine celebrated the memorial service for the deceased.

Poltava Oblast
Poltava Oblast received two new ambulances. These are state-of-the-art Toyota cars of the “C” class with a defibrillator, monitors, stretchers, an electrocardiograph and other medical equipment. These cars will be used by mobile teams – doctors and nurses who will go to patients in remote communities. This is an initiative of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine and the Poltava Oblast Military Administration.
8 Starlink satellite Internet communication stations were handed over to the Ukrainian military by Elon Musk’s American SpaceX company. Providing a stable Internet is very important for fighters. Before that, the Poltava oblast already received several dozen such systems from the Ministry of Digital, which from the first days of the war established systematic cooperation with SpaceX.
Poltava oblast said goodbye to its heroes. Maksym Ostyak from Poltava died in the war defending Ukraine, Yuriy Movchan from the Globinsk community, Artem Korsun from the Kozelshchyna community.
In the coming days, another 10 minibuses will be equipped with validators in Poltava. Devices will appear on route No. 50 (old 39th) Ognivka — Levada. Thus, it will be possible to use validators already in 22 private minibuses.
In 2014, the artist Dmytro Bilokin created a graffiti memorial of the Heavenly Hundred on the wall near the Poltava State Agrarian University. Over the course of 8 years, the image was subjected to natural destruction, it is impossible to restore it in the same form. In addition, after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia on the territory of Ukraine, the context changed. Therefore, Poltava residents are currently collecting funds for Dmytro Bilokon to create a new mural instead of the Heavenly Hundred memorial. You can join the fundraiser via the link.

Western Oblasts
Lviv Oblast
There were no air alert notifications. Everything was calm in the Lviv Oblast.
Another 304 people arrived in Lviv by two evacuation trains.
More than 37,000 people left Ukraine through the western border. Instead, 41,000 citizens returned to the state.
The Ukrainian Veterans’ Fund reimburses up to 20,000 hryvnias for goods and equipment for veterans and their family members who are individual entrepreneurs. The money can be received by combatants who are not on duty, their wives or husbands, parents and children of veterans, veterans who have the status of internally displaced persons.
Another 40 Starlink satellite communication systems were handed over today by the Lviv IT Cluster to the Lviv Oblast Military Administration. These systems will be sent to the Air Command “West” of the Air Force, 80 separate airborne assault brigades of the Airborne Assault Troops, “Pravyi Sector” and other formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that need high-speed Internet to perform military tasks. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the officials of the Lviv Oblast together with the Lviv IT cluster have already handed over 400 such systems.
In Mostysky, volunteers of the Swedish organization Remar S.O.S. set up a tent city for IDPs. 100 people can be accommodated on an area of 500 square meters. The temporary shelter is equipped with beds, mattresses, and pillows. People can also eat three times in the canteen and take a shower for free.

Rivne Oblast
The general situation was relatively calm, as of 17:00 there were no air alarms.
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine patrol the border with belarus. Representatives of the local Territorial Defense unit patrol and are on duty at checkpoints.
“Bread of friendship” was baked today in the Rivne Oblast. Thus, a social project for the development of small bakeries is being launched. The participants of the action were the head of the Rivne Oblast Military Administration Vitaliy Koval and the Polish volunteer baker Jacek Polewski, who brought 500 kilograms of flour to Bucha. As a sign of gratitude for his volunteering, Jacek Polevskyi is depicted on the Rivne mural “Brave People of Brave Country”.

In Rivne, a 17-year-old girl from the Kharkiv Oblast conducts workshops for children who, like her, were forced to flee the war. Karina Pavlenko teaches to draw portraits.
The Rivne oblast has 253 offers for business relocation. This was reported on the website Restart business, which helps entrepreneurs save their business in war conditions. This is the largest number of offers among all oblasts.
The coordinators of AUI “Active Community” conducted an art therapy master class for children and adults who currently live in Rivne – “Refreshing Mojito”, during which they prepared a summer mojito drink. Children and adults shared their emotions and made a cool drink together. According to the participants, they really liked the event, because after the event, all participants were satisfied with the result and thanked the organizers.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Kamianets-Podilskyi
The agrarians of the community have started the harvest campaign. Of the 1,890 hectares of sown rapeseed, 360 hectares have been harvested so far. Work continues.
Cooperation with various foundations, charitable organizations and sponsors, which are ready to help vulnerable categories of citizens, IDPs and all those in need, continues.
The mayor thanked the German project “IsraAID Germany” and the Romanian organization “Civic Radauti Association” for their support. Thanks to them, IDPs with disabilities and those who are registered in the city, received medicines, food kits and hygiene products.
Also, the other day, together with the enterprise “One Hundred Puds”, which moved to the community from Kharkiv, food kits were delivered to local families who urgently needed help.
According to the Department of Social Protection of the Population, 21,887 internally displaced persons are registered today. Another 82 certificates were issued last week. A total of 283 people who left Kamianets were removed from the register.
The city council’s website contains a list of current vacancies at city enterprises.
Chernivtsi Oblast
Chernivtsi Oblast is currently outside the hostilities, but has been actively helping the army since the beginning of the war.
Volunteers rebuilt a century-old Austrian house in Chernivtsi. Currently, 16 IDPs from different parts of the country live there.
Farmers of the Nedoboivtsi community actively help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For the needs of the defenders, they handed over the car. Another vehicle for the military was purchased by the large family of Volodymyr and Victoria Hnatovski from the city of Sokyriany.
Volunteers from Vyzhnytsia Raion handed over the humanitarian cargo to the military. In particular, water, hygiene products and long-term food products were delivered to Ukrainian defenders.
Zakarpattya Oblast
The public organization “Happy Children” begins the implementation of the new project “Happy Childhood” with the support of the Committee for Medical Assistance in Zakarpattya. “Wild tribes”, educational introductions to animals, career guidance classes – this is how an active summer with “Happy Children” in Uzhhorod looks like. As part of the project, summer activities for children, such as camp residences in the form of quest trips, are provided.
Last weekend, events were held in Uzhhorod to raise funds for the 128th Separate Zakarpattya Mountain Assault Brigade. The culmination of the two-day program of activities was the burning of an effigy of putin.
Almost a hundred children undergo medical rehabilitation at the “Malyatko” sanatorium in Uzhhorod Oblast. Among the patients are both Zakarpattya residents and internally displaced persons. There are patients with disabilities. Most of them receive services inpatient, and 20 percent – outpatient.
