About us: The “Active Community” initiative was launched by activists of the “Republika” Institute after the Euromaidan (2014), which focused on the activation and involvement of Ukrainians in the decision-making process. The goal for 2025: to activate and involve at least 1% of citizens in making decisions and promoting reforms in Ukraine on a systematic basis for the well-being of Ukrainian communities. Today we work in 30 communities in Ukraine.

Around 5 a.m., the enemy fired 6 missiles at a military unit in the village of Liutizh. One building was destroyed and two more damaged. One rocket was shot down in the air over the Bucha quarry. The enemy launched the missiles from the Black Sea – from the area of Cape Fiolent. 15 people were injured. Explosions were also heard in Irpin.
Today, air raid alerts were often announced in the Zhytomyr Oblast.
The mayor of Zhytomyr congratulated the residents of the city on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood. Relevant events were held in the city on the occasion of the holiday.
In Zhytomyr, the Commissioner for Persons Missing under Special Circumstances met with relatives of the servicemen who were taken prisoner or went missing, and voiced the possibility of further cooperation.
The coordinator of AUI “Active Community” conducted art therapy for children and their parents on the theme “Photo Day. Happy Moment”, combining it with the holiday of the Day of Ukrainian Statehood.
At around 5 a.m. today, more than 20 missiles were fired from the territory of the belarussian airfield “Zyabrovka”. All missiles fell on the territory of the Honcharivske community in the forest area.
Last night and this morning, the russians fired mortars at the Semenivka community. A total of 32 shots and 5 explosions were recorded.
This afternoon, rescuers were busy defusing and neutralizing explosive ordnance near Shestovytsia.
At night and in the morning, the russian army bombarded the Mykolaivka village council, the Esman, Khotyn and Krasnopillia communities in the Sumy Oblast with mortars. There are neither casualties nor destruction there.
After 10 a.m. today, the disposal of explosive items was carried out in the Sumy Oblast.
At night, the occupiers launched missile attacks on the Nemyshlianskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv. Industrial facilities and a private house were damaged. This caused some fires. There are no casualties.
This morning, the enemy shelled Chuhuiv with MLRS. Private households and outbuildings were damaged. A shell hit an apartment building; a fire broke out.
In the Kharkiv Raion, during yesterday evening, the occupiers shelled the village of Tsyrkuny, 7 fires broke out. Residential houses and outbuildings were damaged.
Wheat fields were on fire as a result of shelling in the Bohodukhiv Raion.
During the day, as a result of shelling by the invaders, three people were injured in the Kharkiv Raion: two men aged 47 and a 12-year-old boy. One of the men is in grave condition.
In the Sloviansk sector, with the aim of finding weak points in the defense of Ukrainian units, the occupiers conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the Dovhenke – Mazanivka and Pasika – Dolyna directions. Artillery shelling was noted in the areas of the settlements of Andriivka, Nortsivka, Bohorodychne, Chepil, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Petrivske, and Husarivka.
The enemy did not conduct any active operations in the Kramatorsk sector. The russians shelled the territories of the villages of Zakitne, Verkhniokamianske and Tetianivka with artillery. They launched an airstrike near Serebrianka.
Artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Vremivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novokalynove, Opytne, Stepnohirsk, Bilohiria, Volodymyrivka, Velyka Novosilka, Mykilske, Malynivka and Pervomaiske. The occupiers used aviation near Avdiivka, Maryinka, Pavlivka, Kamianske, and Mali Shcherbaki.
On July 27, the russians killed 5 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast: two in Avdiivka, one in New York, one in Bakhmut and one in Soledar. Another 8 people were wounded.
Since February 24, the russians have killed 648 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 1,677.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
Avdiivka suffered 17 enemy strikes. Hirnyk, Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, and Memryk were also affected. The enemy shelled the residential quarters using aviation (unguided missiles), S-300 air defense systems, and multiple launch rocket systems.
The past day in the Pokrovsk community was relatively quiet. No casualties or destruction were recorded.
Yesterday at 08.35 a.m., as a result of hostilities, the Karlivka filtering station was de-energized, and the water supply was stopped. As of the morning of July 28, water supply has not been restored.
Andriy Bondarenko, the head of the Pokrovsk Raion Military Administration, spoke about the evacuation of people from the Pokrovsk Raion.
A humanitarian cargo for the vulnerable strata of the population from French partners arrived in Pokrovsk.
In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy is trying to improve its tactical position, but the Ukrainian soldiers repelled the assaults in the Klynove – Bakhmut and Myronivskyi – Semyhiria directions and forced the invaders to retreat.
The enemy has partial success in the Vidrodzhennia – Vershyna sector, and is entrenched southeast of the settlement of Vershyna. The attempt to advance in the directions of Volodymyrivka – Soledar and Striapivka – Soledar ended in failure for the occupiers.
Law enforcement officers of the Luhansk Oblast exposed 15 people who hold leadership positions in the bodies of the so-called “LPR” or actively cooperate with the occupiers. In addition, on July 27, 112 residents from Luhansk Region turned to the police.
In Severodonetsk, the occupiers announced the opening of four schools. The head of the Luhansk Oblast Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, announced this in his telegram channel.
In June, the russian invaders destroyed the Lysychansk Mining and Industrial Vocational College: during the fire, an unorganized release of pollutants into the atmosphere occurred. This was reported by the State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine on the Facebook page.
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the russian troops did not conduct active operations. In order to strengthen the grouping of troops, the enemy transfers additional units there.
Last day, the russian invaders shelled the civilian infrastructure in the areas of the Kamianske and Yurkivka settlements. Destruction of civil infrastructure facilities as a result of shelling was recorded.
The Security Service of Ukraine submitted to the court an indictment against the actress, who was appointed by the occupiers to the position of “acting head of the administration of the city of Vasylivka”.
The Kherson Oblast prosecutor’s office handed the notice of suspicion of collaborative activity to two residents of the Kherson Oblast, who headed a pseudo-authority in Hola Prystan. According to the investigation, in May this year a resident of Kherson voluntarily agreed to take the post of fake “head of the military-civilian administration” of the Hola Prystan community of the Skadovsk Raion. Since June, the suspect has been appointing heads of village administrations in the territories subordinate to him.
Today, educational institutions and residential buildings have suffered from rocket attacks by russian troops. At four o’clock in the morning, russian troops fired 10 c-300 missiles at the city. Three rockets hit the school grounds. The institution building was completely destroyed. A school guard was injured. The man refused hospitalization and is now at home.
Moskovska Street in Mykolaiv was renamed Mariupolska Street. 39 deputies out of 46 registered at the Mykolaiv City Council session voted for it.
In addition, the faction of the political party “Party of Shariy” ceased its activities in the Mykolaiv City Council. The official letter on termination of the faction’s activity was received by the City Council in early July.

Today in Odessa, tram traffic was organized along the route “North – South”. From now on, residents of the residential districts of Kotovskyi, Luzanivka, Peresyp will be able to reach the central part of the city using tram route No.7. It will operate from Paustovsky Street to Starosinna Square. This is the first stage of the route. It will be continued in the future.
Today, on the occasion of the World Hepatitis Day, the humanitarian center of the Primorsky District held a free testing campaign for viral hepatitis and HIV. Testing and consultations were carried out by employees of the Odesa City Center for the Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS and the charitable organization “100 percent of life. Odesa.” During the campaign, 42 people were examined, 4 cases of hepatitis B, 7 cases of hepatitis C and two cases of HIV infection were detected. All people with a positive test result received a consultation and an algorithm for further actions.
The situation is tense due to the threat of rocket attacks. People are stick together and active, they are engaged in volunteer activities.

At about 12:25, two consecutive explosions rang out in Kropyvnytskyi. They were heard in the city and beyond. The air alarm signals were immediately sounded. Russian missiles hit the hangars of the Flight Academy and the Urga Company. So far, there is information about 5 dead and 25 wounded. Aviation equipment as well as nearby buildings were damaged. A civilian AN-26 aircraft and training planes were damaged.
In Kropyvnytskyi, public discussion of the next stage of renaming streets started.
The city’s toponymic commission proposed 172 streets for renaming.
In Kropyvnytskyi, on Statehood Day, veterans and volunteers were presented with awards, and a new stamp from Ukrposhta was canceled. In particular, Natalia Buryanenko from Luhansk Oblast, who founded the volunteer initiative “Feeding Patriots”, and Vadym Dovhoruk, a veteran, who organized support for his brothers in arms, received the oblast honor. City awards were also presented to sportsmen from Kirovohrad Oblast who took part in the Summer Deaflympics Games in Brazil.
In Oleksandriia, a unique museum was opened – the House of Dmytro Chyzhevsky. As the mayor of Oleksandriia, Serhiy Kuzmenko, said, this is the only center on the territory of Ukraine dedicated to the famous scholar of Slavic literature Dmytro Chyzhevskyi. They also found and restored ancient furniture, a clock, a piano and a telescope – similar to the one with which Dmytro Chyzhevskyi liked to look at the starry sky.
The regional coordinator of the All-Ukrainian Initiative “Active Community” assisted IDPs in finding housing for permanent residence, as well as work.
Deputies of the Poltava Oblast Council did not find votes for the petition to ban the moscow patriarchate in Ukraine. The appeal states that it aims to ban the activities of the church in order to protect the national security of Ukraine. During the discussion of this issue, 10 deputies from three factions spoke at the meeting, but the vote showed that the majority of deputies were not ready to support the initiative.
With the beginning of hostilities, the labor market of the oblast, like the state as a whole, underwent significant changes. Because of the war, many enterprises suspended labor contracts with employees or entered into part-time contracts. Therefore, almost 73 thousand (25% of the total number) of employees in the oblast have a salary lower than the minimum level. In addition, there were 2,500 more dismissed persons than employed persons, and the number of part-time workers increased by almost a thousand.
Two heroes from Poltava Oblast died in the war. One of them is senior sergeant Artem Ganzhenko. Farewell to the deceased took place in Myrhorod.

The women of Poltava Oblast took part in the “KRYLA” [WINGS] project at the training “Women are involved: the path to growth and economic security”.
The team of AUI “Active Community” of Poltava decided to participate in conscious donation. Therefore, blood was donated for wounded soldiers today. In Poltava, there was a need for a large amount of donor blood.
There were 6 air alarms in the community during the day. In general, everything was stable in Zhmerynka. The infrastructure is working. The Department of Education has been conducting a survey of parents regarding the format of education since September 1.
Representatives of the local Territorial Defense unit patrolled key objects, checked compliance by citizens and institutions with the rules of conduct during an air alert.
The local authorities congratulated the residents on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood. On the Myru Square, a flag was raised and flowers were laid near the monument to Shevchenko.
People today are restless due to air alarms. Additional panic was caused by planes flying extremely low.

Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk Raion
Air defense signals sounded throughout the day. The past day passed peacefully in the Khmilnyk community.
