Ukraine in brief:

The 109th day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to a russian military invasion continues.

In the north of Ukraine, the situation has not changed significantly. Russian occupiers continue to shell the positions of Ukrainian troops, as well as civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Khrinivka, Chernihiv Oblast, and Oleksandrivka, Sumy Oblast.

In the Slobozhansky direction, russian occupation troops are fighting, trying to improve the tactical situation, and improving the engineering equipment of defensive positions in the area of the settlement of Novy Burluk. The enemy fired mortars, artillery, and rocket-propelled grenades at the territories of Zamulivka, Bayrak, Husarivka, and Ruski Tyshky.

Russian occupation troops did not take active action in the Lyman direction and continued shelling Ukrainian units. It takes measures to prepare for the offensive. In the Severodonetsk direction, russian enemy continued to use barrel and jet artillery. It is trying to overcome the resistance of Ukrainian troops and establish full control over the city of Severodonetsk, but the fighting continues.

In the Bakhmut direction, russian occupiers carried out assault operations to cover the village of Vrubivka but were unsuccessful. In an attempt to resume the assault in the direction of Orikhove – Zolote, russian occupation troops received a decisive rebuff from Ukrainian defenders and withdrew.

In the Avdiivka, Novopavlivske, and Zaporizhzhia directions, russian enemy exerts systematic fire on Ukrainian troops’ positions to restrain their actions and prevent regrouping.

In the South Buh area, russian invaders are trying to hold their former positions and fire on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Russians fired from artillery and jet artillery in the areas of the settlements of Osokorivka, Trudolyubivka, Shyroke, Dobryanka, and Blahodatne.

Ukrainian defenders inflict losses on the russian occupiers in all areas where active hostilities continue.

Northern oblasts

Kyiv Oblast

In Kyiv Oblast, the demining of territories that were previously occupied by russian troops continues. Residents can often hear the explosions due to demining in the right bank of Kyiv. More than 41 000 explosive devices have already been disposed of. A russian-made aircraft missile was found in the reeds of the Teteriv River. It is currently dangerous to visit beaches and recreation areas.

The mayor of Irpin and the Japanese architect Hiroki Matsura agreed to cooperate. The architect shared his vision of modern urban planning and his first impression of Irpin. Later, the architect will be able to present to the city authorities the “master plan of Irpin”, which will emphasize the city’s features.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In Zhytomyr Oblast, the situation is quiet. Several military units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, the local Territorial Defense units, the Assault Troops, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine stationed in Zhytomyr Oblast received 16 sets of Starlink autonomous high-speed satellite communications.

Southern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, the Shevchenkivskyi District of Kharkiv was shelled. Across Oblast, the occupiers fired on the Kharkiv Raion, particularly the Mala Danylivka community, Chuhuiv Raion, and Izium Raion. As a result, fires broke out in private homes, nonresidential premises, and forests.

At night, the occupiers’ ammunition fell into residential buildings in the village of Bezruky, Kharkiv Raion. At about 5:00 am, a house in the Zolochiv community caught fire due to shelling. There are no enemy actions in the city. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and local Territorial Defense units are preparing to meet the enemy. The situation remains alarming. Since the water supply problem in the city’s settlements has not been eliminated, the citizens were informed about the schedule of drinking water supply.

Emotional relief is very important for children who stay in the city. Therefore, an event was held in the city, where children could communicate with peers and make new friends. The parents of the children expressed their gratitude to the organizers of such an event.

Volnovakha

Today there was a solemn raising of the flag of the occupiers in the Olhyn community. Those who loved Ukraine the loudest (on display) rose. There were as many as 5 participants!

The people who were taken out for filtration five days ago have not been returned home yet. It is reported that they allegedly passed the filtration in Starobeshevo, and the occupiers have a weekend today and tomorrow. People were placed either in a dormitory or in a house of culture. It’s a piece of general information, and there is no accurate information. People are not allowed to return on their own, anyone is not allowed to call, people are not fed, and only tea is given. Locals were able to give people some food.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are fighting hard but bravely against the enemy. In the occupied territories, people are trying to believe that the occupiers will restore the gas and water supply. Nobody thinks about how. There is information that “specialists” came and took water samples in the Quarry and told people that water could be used in principle. People do not understand that their fate does not bother the occupying power at all. The general situation is extremely negative.

Southern oblasts

Kherson Oblast

The terrorism of the occupiers in the Oblast has reached the edge. The enemy continues to increase the number of equipment, bypass the territory and drive troops to defend. Russian passports have officially been distributed in the Kherson Oblast. So far, 25 people from Kherson have volunteered, mostly local collaborators. The introduction of russian rubles continues. Russians are constantly patrolling towns and villages. The number of checkpoints has increased. Residents are not released from the Oblast. During the last month, the occupiers are preparing for September 1st. Training should take place according to the new russian program.

The AFU are conducting a counteroffensive in the direction of the settlements of Kiselivka, Soldatske, and Oleksandrivka. The village of Tavriyske was completely liberated from the occupiers.

Skadovsk

The mayor of Skadovsk published the following news: “Another “holiday” took place in occupied Skadovsk on Friday, with more artists and security guards with weapons than spectators. The military, as usual, started tiling in the square. It is a pity for those who dance and sing to these songs and do not understand that they will always be forced to dance under the barrels of machine guns, even if the military is not in sight. There has never been such a thing in the history of Ukraine that russia cared about the cultural and spiritual development of Ukraine. Under the occupation, only repression against those who want to be Ukrainian and live in Ukraine is possible. Today, people who want to live in Ukraine and be Ukrainians are dying and disappearing in the occupied territories. Kidnappings, tortures, murders – all this is today’s reality. The hunt for people’s brains began. Access to information is blocked, disinformation is spread, and the idea is laid that it should be as it is so that people do not shoot. History teaches that if you give in now, you will definitely shoot at those who want to be Ukrainian. And they still wish us a peaceful sky over our heads, on which russian rockets fly over and over again, bringing death and destruction to Ukraine. Do not attend events organized by the occupying power under russian flags. There is nothing to do for those who want to live in Ukraine.”

People hold on, continue to oppose the introduction of the russian ruble in the Oblast, and volunteer. The situation remains critical. Sometimes the home Internet works. In Kherson, only six school principals agreed to work on russia’s education system, and another 71 protested. There is one russian pharmacy in Skadovsk. Banking institutions and terms do not work at all.

The coordinator of AUI “Active Community” is engaged in volunteering and helping the elderly with medicines.

Mykolaiv Oblast
