Kyiv

Zhytomyr Oblast

The Zhytomyr community has mobile teams to provide psychological assistance and other services. Since May, specialists have provided more than 828 consultations. The teams also help with the restoration of documents and legal issues, advise on obtaining a humanitarian.

The project of social and psychological support “Near” has also started in Zhytomyr. The project involves the work of psychological support groups, art therapy, workshops, development of healthy eating and sports.

A day camp for emotional recovery for IDP children aged 7 to 11 will start in Zhytomyr on July 4. Registration of the child in the camp and additional information by phone: 050-022-69-77.

Pyrotechnicians found an R-77 jet munition in a forest in the Zhytomyr Oblast.

In the Zhytomyr Oblast the Hero who died near the settlement of Rozdolne of Donetsk Oblast was taken to the last road.

Inspectors calculated billions in damage caused to the environment of Chernihiv region by hostile actions of the occupiers. At the end of March 2022 alone, airstrikes damaged more than 400 hectares of forest. The fires caused the release of pollutants into the air. The amount of damage caused by the criminal actions of the occupiers amounted to 3 billion 408 million 526 thousand UAH.

Sumy Oblast

Yesterday the russians fired artillery at the Hlukhiv community. 30 attacks from rocket-propelled grenade launchers were recorded. Fields and people’s gardens came under fire. The local farm was badly damaged and animals were injured.

At about 5 a.m., the enemy began firing mortars at the Khotyn community. Only 30 hits.

Eastern Oblasts 

Kharkiv Oblast

Fighting continues. During the past 24 hours, the enemy fired on Shevchenkivskyi, Novobavarskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv and settlements of Kharkiv Oblast.

In Kharkiv, industrial buildings and buildings of a private enterprise were damaged, there are no victims. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy tried to conduct reconnaissance by fighting in the Kochubeyevka area, but suffered losses and withdrew. In the Izyum area, the occupiers are trying to continue the offensive in the direction of Slavyansk. Defenders repel all attacks of the enemy, inflict significant losses on him.

In the Kharkiv Raion, private households in Dergachi were damaged, a farm building and a technical building in the town of Pisochyn were on fire.

Zolochiv was fired at with cluster munitions, 7 houses were damaged. An 82-year-old woman was injured. A 70-year-old man was injured in the village of Morozivka.

In Chuhuiv Raion, a private house and a garage in the village of Korobochkyne were damaged, and private vehicles were destroyed.

In total, at least 10 private houses were damaged in the Kharkiv Oblast over the past 24 hours, a school and an apartment building were destroyed, and 2 civilians were injured.

Donetsk Oblast

During the day, in the Donetsk Oblast, soldiers of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a Mi-35M helicopter.

On June 16, the russians wounded two civilians in Donetsk, Toretsk and Kurdyumivka.

Since the beginning of the russian invasion of Ukraine, 504 civilians have been killed and 1,301 wounded in shelling and bombing in the Donetsk Oblast.

Kramatorsk

No enemy action has been recorded in the city. The situation remains alarming.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine and local Territorial Defense units are preparing to meet the enemy.

The local authorities informed the residents about the work of public health facilities, post office, shops, gas stations. The coordinator of the AUI “Active Community” continues to coordinate the work of the humanitarian center. Today, an agreement has been reached on the transfer of computer equipment from philanthropists, which will significantly increase productivity.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion 

In the Avdiivka and Kurakhiv directions, the enemy fired mortars, artillery and rocket-propelled grenade launchers to prevent the transfer of Ukrainian troops to other directions.

Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed enemy attacks. Representatives of the local Territorial Defense units conducted patrols in the Pokrovsky community.

The past day in the Pokrovsky community was relatively calm, no facts about the victims and destruction as a result of the shelling were recorded. Utilities work in a regular mode.

The Pokrovsk Community Development Agency has won a grant of 233,000 UAH.The competition was conducted by the non-profit organization Nova Ukraine. The proceeds will be used to purchase 1,000 food kits for low-income and large families, as well as residents affected by the shelling. The first 300 sets have already gone to the Sribne Starostynsky District of the Pokrovsky Community.

In connection with the military events, rescuers are delivering water to the town of Selydove, the town of Krasnohorivka, the town of Marinka and the town of Bilytske in the Pokrovsk Raion.

In the town of Rodynsky, the Pokrovsky community provided humanitarian aid to mothers with many children and single mothers.

The community’s infants received hygiene kits from UNICEF.

Bakhmut

In the Bakhmut direction, the defenders of Ukraine repulsed an enemy assault in the direction of the settlement of Zolote. The enemy retreated. The occupiers tried to advance in the direction of Vasylivka and Berestove. Ukrainian soldiers inflicted fire damage and forced the enemy to flee:

One person died in Bakhmut and was injured in Luhansk oblast.

One killed and three wounded are the result of yesterday’s shelling of Kostiantynivka.

According to preliminary information, the russians hit with cluster shells. The private sector was affected.

The coordinator of the Active Community AUI organized an event for children of internally displaced persons.

Mariupol

The mayor’s adviser said that 10-15 people with symptoms of cholera go to the hospital every day. Testing is not possible. There are no antibiotics in Mariupol, so people are sent home. In addition, the city lacks insulin.

The occupiers cannot solve the problem of drinking water shortage. Locals wash things in puddles.

Luhansk Oblast

The situation is difficult in the Luhansk oblast. Fierce fighting continues in Severodonetsk, near Toshkivka and Zoloty. Evacuation from Severodonetsk’s “Nitrogen” is impossible due to constant shelling and fighting. There are 568 people in the shelter, including 38 children.

The russians are shelling Lysychansk. The number of shellings is growing every day.

In Lysychansk, the russians destroyed the Diamond Palace of Culture, in the shelter of which civilians were hiding. Three locals were killed. Seven were injured.

Another airstrike destroyed the prophylactic building, which probably also housed people. A local resident was killed in the shelling on the street. It also became known about the two victims in the old districts of Severodonetsk – a mother and son.

In addition, a school building and two houses were destroyed in Lysychansk, 18 houses in Hirsky and seven in Vrubivka. There are many damages in the village of Synetsky near Severodonetsk.

On June 16th, rescuers from the Luhansk oblast delivered 32 tons of water and humanitarian kits to the region’s residents.

Southern Oblast

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The air defence of the Zaporizhia Oblast neutralized a russian missile over the Vilnia raion at about 10:00.

According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or damage.

Soldiers of the Defense Forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction last night destroyed: one Su-25 plane, a Mi-28 helicopter, two tanks, one “Hail” multiple rocket launcher, three armored combat vehicles.

In Zaporizhzhia, the SBU detained the correctors of rocket attacks.

Kherson Oblast

Russia has intensified the transportation of military relatives to the temporarily occupied settlements of Ukraine, in particular, to Kherson. The invaders arbitrarily settled in the homes of Ukrainians. The russians also plan to launch passenger trains from the occupied Crimea to Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblast.

The occupiers are stepping up measures to enforce the passports of the population of the occupied territories. In particular, they have already created a queue for 2 weeks. In addition, the occupying “authorities” of the Kherson oblast stated that all children born in the region after February 24 will automatically receive russian citizenship.

The occupiers do not give up their intention to hold a “referendum”, but they do not succeed because the local population is resisting fiercely.

The pressure on agrarians continues, the occupiers are forcing 70% of the harvest to be handed over to buyers from the Crimea and are banned from exporting to the territory controlled by Ukraine. Enemies resume work of Kherson and Skadovsk ports. They found leaders under the control of the occupation authorities, imported even more military equipment, which was displayed on the beach and mines were planted. There were explosions in Chornobayivka, there are wounded and dead. The occupiers are intimidating and taking revenge on the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are destroying ammunition depots. Also, collaborators plan to open Kherson beach near the shelled village of Antonovka.

Total control continues at all checkpoints. The russian military is looting and taking everything they want.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are located 10 km from Kherson.

Skadovsk

At about 17:00, two rockets arrived at the seaport of Skadovsk, there is a lot of smoke. There are no reports of casualties yet.

The mayor of Skadovsk continues to work online and is located in the Lviv oblast. He joins the volunteer, and maintains good working relations with the mayor of Lviv. The mayor addressed the collaborators with a harsh comment on his Facebook page.

There are few young people in the city, and many elderly people who need help every day, sometimes there is no way to find out what they need, people are silent, holding on and waiting.

The city continues to be without communication, the Internet can be accessed only with VPN and home Internet. Prices are rising every day. Terminals, ATMs, and banking institutions do not work, people do not have the opportunity to withdraw cash to live in the oblast. Utilities began to work intermittently. There is one russian pharmacy and one Ukrainian drug exchange. People are constantly volunteering. Beaches in Skadovsk are empty, people are afraid to go to the sea to swim.

The coordinator of the Active Community AUI held a zoom conference with activists, where they exchanged news and action plan on volunteering and assistance to Skadovsk.

Mykolaiv Oblast

The russians struck the next blow across Mykolaiv. As a result of the attack, two people were killed and 20 were injured.

The russians hit the houses. 21 high-rise buildings, 3 private houses, a transformer substation, an industrial facility and a sports club were damaged.

The humanitarian headquarters of the Mykolayiv oblast will help the victims of one of the neighbourhoods to put doors and windows instead of the damaged ones. Water and hot food were delivered to the victims in cooperation with volunteers.

Communities of Bashtansky and Mykolayiv districts were also under russian fire. In particular, Shirokivska, Bereznehuvatska, Pervomaiska, Kutsurubska, Mishkovo-Pohorilivska and Voskresenska communities.

Central Oblasts

Kirovohrad Oblast

The day passed quietly, without air sirens. The situation in the community is calm and under control.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine guarded the borders of the oblast. Territoral Defence fighters conducted tactical exercises.

The head of the Kirovohrad oblast military administration Andriy Raykovych said that the heads of the territories report that the situation on the ground is under control.

June 18 at 15:00 in the Kropyvnytskyi space “WORLD 2.0.” opens a charity photo exhibition of a photographer from the Kherson oblast. You can not only view photos but also buy them. The funds raised will go to help the Ukrainian military. Volodymyr Pinega from Kherson was engaged in aerial photography before the war: he flew all over the Kherson oblast with his drone, which is currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to promote his oblast. At the exhibition, visitors will be able to admire the Kherson oblast, its most popular tourist location from a bird’s eye view and buy any photo work printed on canvas 50×70 cm.

Free foreign language classes for adults have started at the Volodymyr Panchenko Central City Library. The courses work in three areas: English from scratch, French from scratch and English at the basic level. Each group is engaged twice a week. In total, the classes are attended by 75 residents of Kropyvnytskyi and internally displaced persons, although many more are interested. Classes in French are conducted by Veronika Romanova, a teacher of English and French, a specialist in the department of innovation and methodological work of the city centralized library system of Kropyvnytskyi, who came from Mariupol in March. Coordinator of AUI “Active Community” worked at the Humanitarian Center for Internally Displaced Persons (formed packages with food kits and hygiene products).

Poltava Oblast

Another consignment of humanitarian aid arrived from the International Committee of the Red Cross. This time it is household appliances for collective accommodation of internally displaced persons. In the morning the cargo was received, in the afternoon it was already given to the representatives of schools and kindergartens. At present, washing machines, microwave ovens and brand new electric kettles are being installed, all in order to create comfortable living conditions for IDPs.

Today the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the Supreme Archbishop of Kyiv and Halych, Metropolitan of Kyiv Sviatoslav visited the Poltava City Council. Mayor Oleksandr Mamai and First Deputy Valery Parkhomenko thanked for the help, which was organized with the assistance of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and the charity organization “Caritas Poltava” from the first days of the full-scalerussian invasion.

Volunteers bought the IRay Jerry-C thermal imaging module for the front, for which Poltava residents raised funds. The procedure for transferring equipment to the military is currently underway. The soldier, who was to receive equipment for his unit, was wounded by shrapnel and is in hospital. Nevertheless, the author of the project found other opportunities to transfer the thermal imaging module to the soldiers of the unit to reliably deliver the device.

The street of the Steppe Front in Poltava is proposed to be renamed in honor of the fallen pilot from Myrhorod Oleksandr Oksanchenko. The pilot died on February 25 at the age of 53 during the battle for Kyiv. He was posthumously awarded the Order of the Golden Star.

The team of AUI “Active Community” in Poltava is cooperating with local public organizations to hold another art-therapeutic event for families who were forced to leave their homes and move to Poltava.

Vinnytsia Oblast

Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk Raion

The past day in Khmilnyk community was peaceful. Utilities work in a regular mode.

On June 17, Khmilnyk Mayor Mykola Yurchyshyn together with the director of the Khmilnyk Primary Health Care Center of the Khmilnyk City Council Larysa Dubova and with the deputy of the 8th convocation City Council, expert of the Public Organization “PRAVO” [“LAW”] Olena Cherniy visited medical outpatient clinics in the villages of Velyky Mytnyk, Poryk and Kozhukhiv.

This week the Khmilnyk community received help:

– from Bratislava (Slovakia) from a business person-entrepreneur Romakh Vadym. The cargo was handed over to the Kharkiv Jewish Charitable Foundation Hesed-Shaare Tikva. These are sanitary and hygienic means – 300 kg;

– from Warsaw (Poland). These are food products – 110 kg, sanitary and hygienic means – 25 kg;

– from Magenta, near Milan (Italy). The benefactors donated for Ukraine: food – 180 kg, sanitary and hygienic means – 30 kg, second-hand clothes and shoes – 100 kg, clothes – 300 kg.

Coordinator of AUI “Active Community” of Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk Raion Oleksandr Tanenok took part in a meeting at the sanatorium “Podillya” with Yuri Slabchuk, chairman of Khmilnyk Raion Council, Yevhen Bolyubash, deputy head of the Raion Council, Leonid Marchuk, deputy director of the sanatorium “Podillya”, psychologists Anastasia Moroz and Olha Mazurenko. The discussion focused on the measures taken in the sanatorium from the auxiliary complex to reduce the risk of post-traumatic stress disorder in children of internally displaced persons.

Western Oblasts

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

The situation in the oblast is under control. The air alarm sounded twice in the past 24 hours.

There are many leisure activities for IDP children in the community. This issue is taken care of by public organizations. Language and sports camps for children are also organized at lyceums.

2 social canteens continue their work. There are also organizations that offer free lunches.

Rivne Oblast

The general situation is relatively calm, no air alarm was sounded.

Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine patrol the border with belarus. Representatives of the local Territorial Defense unit patrol and are on duty at checkpoints.

The state border with belarus within the Rivne Oblast, which is 218 kilometers, is guarded under a reinforced version. The passage of people and goods across the state border has been closed since the beginning of the war. In case of provocations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense and the Military Volunteer Formations of Territorial Communities are ready to take appropriate action.

In the Rivne Oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed another supporter of communism. He was a local who, using the banned social network “Odnoklassnyky” [“Classmates”], glorified the Communist Party in the region.

The non-governmental organization “Institute of Tax Reforms” donated homehold appliances to Rivne Oblast as humanitarian aid.

The coordinators of AUI “Active Community” together with their partner, the Youth Space, held a Board Games Club. This was an integration event, which was joined by young locals and young people currently living in Rivne (internally displaced persons).

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

An air alarm sounded once at night.

The city sheltered more than fifty soldiers wounded in the war with the rashists. These are Heroes who need to be thanked and who now need special support. During a visit to the hospital, city officials asked the soldiers about their needs, and they admitted that they needed a comfortable bed after the field conditions. Today, a hundred new beds and mattresses have been delivered to various departments of the hospital! For the department where the wounded are treated, the authories bought a boiler, and before that they also handed over hot drink machines. And on the eve of the Day of the Medical Worker, the doctors of the surgical department were given the necessary equipment, which is used during the operations.

20 new beds, disinfectants and food were donated to the community today by Dmytro Savenko, the founder of the Charitable Foundation “MiSt” [“Bridge”] named after M. Savenko, the old friend and patron of Kamianets-Podilskyi.

The local authorities have prepared a car (purchase, repair, painting) for soldiers on the front line. Aid was sent to the medical company in the Kharkiv Oblast, where the people of Kamyanets-Podilskyi serve. Laptops, smartphones, auto parts, picks, and a set of keys for the military (worth over UAH 100,000) were purchased at the expense of the budget. A generator for repairing special vehicles was handed over to the soldiers on the first line.

The “Zhinocha sotnya” [“Women’s Hundred”] handed over camouflage nets to the front for the defenders of Ukraine.

Yesterday, the community sheltered ten more Ukrainians who fled the war to Kamianets-Podilskyi.

The regional coordinator of AUI “Active Community” delivered a load of bed linen from the humanitarian warehouse to one of the military units stationed outside the city.

Chernivtsi Oblast (Bukovyna)

An air alarm sounded in Chernivtsi Oblast at night, now the situation is calm and under control.

Volunteers from Bukovyna visited the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk Oblast. They handed over another consignment of humanitarian aid to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: three cars, quadcopters, medicines and drawings from children.

“Banderomobil” is a weapon that destroys rashists”: the showman from Chernivtsi told how he helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Residents of the Nedoboiv community bought a fuel truck for the defenders of Ukraine.

Zakarpattya Oblast

Uzhhorod has joined a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and UNICEF – “Poruch” [“Near”], which aims to provide psychosocial assistance to children and youth affected by the war.

Public organization “Happy Children” in the framework of the project “Caring for those who hold the rear” organized a master class on drawing for Uzhgorod volunteers.

Today, Zakarpattya already has intermediate results of cooperation between the regional military administration and the International Organization for Migration on repairs and reconstruction of buildings that are being converted into housing for displaced persons. So far, 10 facilities for internally displaced persons have been renovated.
