Northern oblast
Kyiv
In Kyiv, an anonymous report of a “bomb threat” at the Obolon gymnasium was received in the morning. Students and staff of the school were evacuated, and experts are working at the site.
Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland arrived in Kyiv. She was met by Bridget Brink, the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine. Victoria Nuland is scheduled to meet with government leaders, veterans, and representatives of civil society to coordinate efforts to defeat russian aggression in Ukraine.
Kyiv has received another batch of humanitarian aid from foreign partners: the German city of Leipzig has donated 5 new fire trucks to the capital. These special vehicles will soon be at the disposal of the city’s fire departments.
Kyiv Oblast
A truckload of humanitarian aid from Spain has arrived in Irpin. The 12-ton truck with charitable aid was loaded and sent to Ukraine from the city of Valencia. Spanish benefactors have been cooperating with the Irpin-based charity organization Foundation of Good Deeds for a long time. This friendly support has been established as part of this cooperation.
At the Coordination Center in Brovary, IDPs from the Luhansk Oblast can receive medicines free of charge. The latter are dispensed as prescribed by a doctor.
On February 1, a Donor Day is going to be arranged in Hostomel. Anyone over the age of 18 and weighing at least 50 kg can donate blood.
Zhytomyr Oblast
In Zhytomyr, the police and bomb squad experts are checking the information about the mining of all city’s universities, institutes and colleges, as well as the Metro mall.
On January 26, the Bohunskyi District Court of Zhytomyr passed a verdict against a man for justifying the russian armed aggression. The court sentenced him to 2 years and 6 months in prison without confiscation of property.
Chernihiv Oblast
A residential building was damaged in the russian troops’ shelling of the Semenivka and Snovsk communities in the Chernihiv Oblast.
Sumy Oblast
On January 30, the russian army shelled 11 communities in the Sumy Oblast. 286 explosions were recorded.
Today, the russian army shelled the settlements of 6 communities. 20 explosions were recorded.
At the session of the Sumy City Council, ten volunteers were presented with the awards of the Executive Committee of the Sumy City Council “Defender of Ukraine. Hero of the City of Sumy” and letters of commendation from the leadership of the Operational Command “North” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, 17 fallen soldiers were awarded certificates of “Honorary Citizen of Sumy”. They were handed over to their families.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Four “Shahed” drones of the russian army attacked two raions of Kharkiv in the evening of January 30. Four people were injured. A supermarket, cars, cafes were damaged, windows were broken in high-rise buildings.
In addition, on January 30, five raions of the Kharkiv Oblast were under the attack of the russian federation. The russians hit civilian enterprises and residential buildings with artillery, as well as S-300, X-59 missiles, and guided aerial bombs. No casualties have been reported.
This morning, the Zolochiv community was shelled from Grad MLRS. The village of Riasne was hit. Seven private houses, buildings of agricultural enterprises, a local cemetery and power grids were damaged there. There were no casualties.
In the Kharkiv Oblast, an ex-policeman was sentenced to life imprisonment for treason. The man was convicted for transferring information about the Defense Forces and law enforcement officers to his brother, who cooperates with the federal security service (FSB) in the Belgorod Oblast. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, with the help of the received coordinates, the russians launched artillery and combat aircraft strikes.
Donetsk Oblast
Over the past day, russian troops shelled residential areas in the Donetsk Oblast 13 times with missiles, drones, Grad MLRS, and artillery. As a result of the hostilities, more than two dozen houses, buildings of two enterprises, and a church were damaged – a total of 46 civilian objects.
Nine people, including six in Pokrovsk, were injured in the Donetsk Oblast during the day. One woman also died in Avdiivka.
The total number of victims in the Donetsk Oblast since the beginning of the full-scale invasion is: 1,848 people died, 4,527 were injured.
Ukrainian soldiers repelled 66 russian attacks in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions during January 30. The largest number of attacks by the russian military was recorded in the Avdiivka and Marinka directions.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
russian troops attacked Pokrovsk with “Iskander” and S-300 missiles the previous evening, as a result of the explosions the enterprise was damaged, where a security guard was injured. In addition, five men were injured. They were taken to the hospital with multiple shrapnel wounds. One of the men is in serious condition.
The enemy directed a missile at Udachne, damaging four private houses.
As a result of shelling in Kurakhove, three apartment buildings were damaged. In Kostiantynivka, five private residences were damaged.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
In New York, a person was injured as a result of an enemy attack. Two apartment buildings and 12 private houses, an enterprise and a civilian car were destroyed.
The invaders struck Chasiv Yar with a drone, injuring two civilians.
Mariupol
Today, another 207 Ukrainians returned home from russian captivity. Among the rescued servicemen, in particular, the defenders of Mariupol.
Luhansk Oblast
The occupiers of the Luhansk Oblast provide humanitarian aid to people for supporting Putin. Bonus funds are issued at enterprises and organizations in the territory of the so-called “LNR” so that workers vote for Putin. Among the promises of the occupiers is to establish the Internet after the elections.
Southern oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast
russian drones attacked the Mykolaiv Oblast on the night of January 31. The warehouses of an agricultural enterprise and a store building were damaged as a result of a drone attack in the Bashtanka Raion. A civilian guard was injured.
russian troops shelled the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities of the Mykolaiv Oblast. Electricity and gas supply lines were damaged.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Yesterday, the occupiers made 156 strikes on 24 settlements. There were no casualties. Six reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings.
Two attack drones of the “Shahed-131/136” type on the outskirts of Zaporizhzhia were shot down by the National Guardsmen with small arms.
In the front-line towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, houses damaged by russian shelling are being preserved. They cannot be restored now.
Odesa Oblast
There are 6 enemy ships in the Black Sea, including 1 cruise missile carrier caliber, a total salvo of up to 4 missiles.
Among the servicemen released today from russian captivity are, in particular, fighters from the Zmiyinyi Island.
Kherson Oblast
Yesterday, the russian military shelled the Kherson Oblast 53 times. They attacked the settlements of the Kherson Oblast with 37 FPV drones, three attack UAVs of the “Lancet” type and dropped 25 fragmentation munitions on them from UAVs of various modifications. They aimed at the residential quarters of the settlements of the Oblast; a hydrotechnical facility, an educational institution, a kindergarten, an unbreakable point and a cell tower in the Beryslav raion. One person died, two were injured.
The russian army attacked the Korabel microdistrict in Kherson. One man was wounded. He was hospitalized in moderate condition.
Tyagynka was fired by the occupiers. They hit a residential building. A 57-year-old man was injured.
The russian army attacked Beryslav in the Kherson Oblast from a drone. It threw two explosives at a couple riding a motorcycle. The victims, a man and a woman, were hospitalized with blast injuries and shrapnel wounds.
Central Oblast
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
On the evening of January 30, russian troops shelled Nikopol with artillery. They kissed each other from one of the villages of the Marganets community. There are no casualties or injuries.
Air defense forces destroyed the missile in the sky over Kryvyi Rih raion of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Kirovohrad Oblast
In the Kirovohrad Oblast, air defense destroyed two russian drones. As a result of the downed drones, there were no injured people and no destruction.
Cherkasy Oblast
Cherkasy schools received first aid kits from the Red Cross. Training was also held for educators on providing first aid to the injured.
Western Oblasts
Rivne Oblast
The 19th team of experts of the permanent mission of the IAEA started work at the Rivne NPP. In the coming weeks, representatives from Brazil and Nigeria will work at the site of the atomic plant. These are experts in emergency preparedness and environmental monitoring, as well as in guarantees.
The new head of the Lviv office of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Omed Hussameldin Ayub, is in Rivne Oblast on a business trip. The parties agreed to continue joint cooperation in providing assistance to displaced persons and socially vulnerable categories of the population.
Lviv Oblast
In the Lviv Oblast, the parishioners of the Church of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine purchased the third mine detector for servicemen. In general, their value is about one hundred thousand hryvnias.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
From March 2022 to October 2023, more than 147 million hryvnias in compensation for communal services was received by residents of Khmelnytskyi Oblast, who accommodated displaced people in their homes free of charge. The largest number of applications for compensation was submitted in April 2022 – 9,825 for the shelter of 35,922 people.
Kamianets-Podilskyi
An integration space for local and internally displaced children and adults was opened in the Kamianets-Podilskyi extracurricular educational association, in the ecological and naturalistic department. Children who have survived the horrors of war or occupation avoid communication with people, but willingly play with animals.
Chernivtsi Oblast
They plan to create an industrial park in Chernivtsi. This is a plot with a total area of more than 17 hectares, where companies of various fields will be able to work: processing, engineering, light industry, logistics, IT, and others. When the concept of the Chernivtsi industrial park is approved by the Ministry of Economy, communications will begin on the territory. Then the investors will be able to start building the premises.
