Ukraine in brief:
The one hundred thirty sixth (136) day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to a russian military invasion continues.
There are no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissya directions. In order to prevent reconnaissance of border areas with Ukraine by unmanned aerial vehicles, the use of electronic warfare systems has been activated. The threat of missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of the Republic of Belarus remains.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy used attack aircraft for an attack near Volodymyrivka, Sumy oblast.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy’s attempts to approach the city continue. The enemy tried to advance in the direction of Kochubeivka – Dementiivka with offensive actions. Ukrainian soldiers pushed back the occupiers to their previously occupied positions.
In the Male Vesele – Petrivka direction, the Defense Forces of Ukraine discovered and neutralized an enemy reconnaissance group.
In the Slovyansk direction, the occupiers, using artillery, are trying to create favorable conditions for further advancement in the direction of Izyum – Slovyansk. Enemy army aircraft struck in the Chepil and Bohorodychne areas.
Our defenders successfully repelled all enemy assault attempts in the directions of Dovhenke – Krasnopilla, Pasika – Dolyna. The enemy left. Carried out remote demining of a section of the highway near Velyka Komyshuvakha.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy continued to use the available means of fire to attack the positions of the Defense Forces and settlements close to the contact line. Delivered a missile-aircraft strike near Shumy.
Conducted aerial reconnaissance with an unmanned aerial vehicle in the Kramatorsk region. The invaders also made an unsuccessful attempt to storm in the direction of Zolotarivka – Verkhnokamyanske. In the Avdiyivka, Kurakhivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, russian enemy continued shelling the positions of our troops with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery along the contact line. Airstrikes were recorded in Avdiivka and Novoandriivka districts.
With offensive actions, the enemy tried to improve the tactical position in the direction of Yasinuvata – Avdiyivka. It has no success, he left with losses.
The enemy’s attempt to advance in the Maryinka area was also unsuccessful.
In the South Buh direction, the occupiers continue to focus their efforts on the defense of the occupied positions and restraining the advancement of the units of the Defense Forces deep into the temporarily captured territory with available fire means.
The occupiers are demoralized by the total resistance of the Ukrainian people. It is becoming more and more difficult for russian command to replenish the units that suffer losses in the senseless war it has unleashed.
Northern Oblasts
Kyiv
The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, announced that all those who wish will be able to undergo military training. First of all, the classes will be held with officials of all levels, in particular with the directors of schools and preschool institutions, and in the future, all those who are willing will be involved.
Almost 86% of enterprises resumed work in the capital.

Kyiv Oblast

The Minister of Youth and Sports assessed the damage to sports facilities in Chernihiv. 4 objects in the amount of 17 million dollars were damaged.
Sumy Oblast
Yesterday around 19:00 during one of the shellings, a local farmer was injured in the Krasnopil community. Fragments of mines gutted the car, two of them hit the man who was driving the car in the neck.
The night passed quietly, and the morning began with shelling.
After 7 a.m., a russian helicopter fired two rockets at the Bilopol community. At 7:30 a.m., the enemy fired 5 rockets from rocket salvo systems at the Khotyn community. Next, a russian helicopter shelled the Myropil community.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
During the day, the russian occupiers shelled 14 settlements in the Oblast with tanks, mortars and rocket artillery.
In the morning, a russian rocket hit the yard of two residential buildings in the city center. One house was completely destroyed, the second – partially. Two people were pulled out from under the rubble, four more were injured.
In the Tsirkunivska community, two houses caught fire from shelling, and a woman was injured as a result.
On the evening of July 8, two rockets hit a restaurant complex on the territory of the Solonytsivska community near Kharkiv. There are no injured.
Donetsk Oblast
In the Slavyansk direction, the enemy launched artillery fire near Dibrovny, Bogorodychny, Adamivka, Karnaukhivka, and Suligivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy shelled civilian infrastructure in the Hryhorivka, Verkhnokamyansk, and Kramatorsk districts. He is trying to advance in the area of Hryhorivka settlement with assault actions, the fighting continues.
In the Avdiyiv, Kurakhiv, Novopavliv and Zaporizhzhya directions, mutual shelling of positions along the contact line continues. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the area of the Mali Shcherbaki settlement.
Four flights to Druzhkivka. According to preliminary information, it was a missile attack. The hospital, the Palace of Culture, residential buildings and a playground were damaged. Information about the victims is being ascertained.
In Slovyansk, an enemy shell hit a private house – the owner was buried under the rubble, rescuers are working on the spot.
In Chasovoy Yar, the russians fired at the railway station — several people received minor injuries.
At night, the city of Hirnyk came under fire. It is known about two wounded and damaged civilian infrastructure: 4 residential buildings, an auto parts store, a gas station. Power lines were also partially cut.
In the Svitlodar community, Kodem, Semihirya, Novoluhanske and Vuglehirska United Territorial Community are under fire. It is known about at least one dead person in Semigirya.
By offensive actions, the occupiers tried to establish control over the territory of the Vuglehirskaya UTC and improve the tactical position in the Dolomite Raion. Ukrainian soldiers did not allow them to do this and pushed them back to their previous positions.
Since the beginning of the russian invasion of Ukraine, as a result of shelling and bombing in Donetsk Oblast, 588 civilians have died, and another 1,525 have been injured.
On July 8, the russians killed 5 civilians of Donetsk Oblast: 4 in Siversk and 1 in Semihirya. Another 8 people were injured.
Kramatorsk
No enemy actions were recorded in Kramatorsk, instead, the enemy struck the neighboring towns of Sloviansk and Druzhkivka.
The city authorities informed the residents about the working gas stations and the work of Ukrposhta branches. It was also reported on the planned current repairs on the electricity and water supply networks.
Residents of buildings damaged by shelling on July 7 are gradually eliminating the consequences, restoring windows and cleaning their homes. A man who died in his driveway was buried today.
The situation in the community is worsening. Currently, there is an increase in the number of people wishing to evacuate.
The coordinator of AUI “Active Community” in cooperation with other organizations and volunteers organized the distribution of kits with household chemicals in the yard of the affected house. A total of 35 families received much-needed hygiene and cleaning supplies.
Bakhmut
In the direction of Bakhmut, enemy shelling was recorded near Zaitsevo, Berestovo and Klynovo. The occupiers launched an airstrike near Spirny.
Volnovakha
Currently, enemy shells are not flying into the city, but shots and explosions are constantly heard all around.
The situation is complicated. The city is under occupation.
There is no electricity, gas or water supply in the city. However, in the center of the city there are animators in dragon costumes.
People are very bitter. Those who evacuated are considered traitors, and those who stayed are considered patriots.
The situation is tense. Some people begin to believe the occupiers: to believe that they will rebuild everything, to believe that everything will be simply fantastic in the future.
Yesterday, the coordinator of AUI “Active Community” held a master class for children of internally displaced persons. During the event, children made paper toys and painted clay figures of dinosaurs. She held an informational meeting for IDPs, and today she coordinated the participants of the excursion.
Mariupol
There were several explosions in Mariupol, as a result of which 3 sappers were died. A fire broke out in the territory of Azovstal, there is information about the victims.
Luhansk Oblast
The russians exert fire influence along the entire front line – from Popasna to Kreminna. They are trying to advance from Luhansk Oblast to Donetsk Oblast.
More than 400 parcels of humanitarian aid were sent to IDPs from Popasna in three days.

Kherson Oblast
Skadovsk
Russian occupiers continue to destroy crops. Fields burn as a result of shelling.
The russians brought military equipment and more than 10 military vehicles to Skadovsk.
The occupiers continue to abuse teachers, force them to work in “new russian schools”. The russians bring the teachers one by one into the office and hold conversations of an unknown nature. They also go door to door and check documents.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a group of russian saboteurs, 38 occupants, one T-62 tank, two 120 caliber mortar complexes “Sani”, two armored vehicles and four units of automotive equipment.
The mayor continues to work remotely.
The city is becoming more and more empty. A few shops and a market are open, but the prices have risen unbelievably. ATMs and banks have not yet started to work, it is not possible to withdraw cash. There is a medicine exchange and one russian pharmacy, but there is not enough medicine either.
There are no young people left in the city. People leave the city if possible, as it becomes dangerous to be in the region.
The regional coordinator of AUI “Active Community” updated the list of needy elderly people and was engaged in volunteering.
Odesa Oblast
The day in the community passed peacefully.
The city authorities report that the situation is currently under control, but the threat of missile strikes remains.

The guests of the holiday were entertained by cheerful animators in Native American costumes. During the festive program, all children were also transformed into Native American with the aqua grime. Children danced and participated in interesting competitions. In addition, they took part in a dance flash mob organized by the “Fairytale” choreographic group.
The Charity Fund “Children of Mariupol” treated visitors to ice cream, burgers, cotton candy and sweet water. At the end of the holiday, everyone went to the show-feeding of Wendy the elephant. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
The russians shelled the Ingulets district of Kryvyi Rih. The invaders fired from the multiple rocket launchers “Grad” at residential areas. This shelling took the life of a woman. Two more people were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. A school and several houses were damaged. A car parked nearby burned down.
In addition, last night the enemy shelled the Nikopol Raion. There were no casualties and no destruction. Shells from multiple rocket launcher “Grad” were found near Chervonogrigorivka.
Since the beginning of the war, the medical facilities of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast have received 94 wounded children from the war zone. Most of them are from Lysychansk, Bakhmut, Kramatorsk.
In Dnipro, a free excursion to the Library of the Ukrainian Diaspora named after John McCain was held for residents and IPDs. The participants of the tour were introduced to the library. They were also shown the film “Black Crow” based on the book by the Ukrainian writer Vasyl Shklyar. The film is about the indomitability of the Ukrainian people and the will to freedom, about the insurgent wars of Ukrainian patriots against the Soviet occupiers, which took place in Kholodnyi Yar in the 20s of the XX century.

A bust of the russian poet Alexander Pushkin was dismantled in Kropyvnytskyi.
The decision on dismantling was made on June 1 by the advisory council on cleaning up the cultural heritage of the oblast. The monument was taken to the art museum for storage. The bust was installed near the Pedagogical Institute in Kropyvnytskyi, which also previously bore the name of the russian poet from 1949 to 1992. The monument was placed near it in 1980.

In 40 communities of the oblast, art therapy classes are organized for children who have moved from the front areas. The Poltava Oblast Military Administration received art sets from UNICEF and handed them over to the communities. Each set includes games, stationery, paints, coloring pages and other creative supplies. Teachers, resettled volunteers, employees of children’s and youth creative homes work with children. Another 11 communities applied for receiving such art sets.
Dmytro Lunin reported that a new rehabilitation department is being created in the oblast clinical hospital. We are talking about complex, early neurorehabilitation for 20-25 beds. Powerful equipment for the hospital will be purchased by WHO. He estimated the cost of three packages of “documents” at USD 7,500. The law enforcement officers caught the dealer red-handed – during the receipt of the first part of the funds – 1,000 US dollars. He has already been informed of the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 332 (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code. A preventive measure was chosen – detention.
Drohobych

In the war with the russian invaders, Drohobych raion lost another defender of Ukraine – 32-year-old Hero Petro Antonyk.
Drohobytsky and Pokrovsky districts signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Mutual Assistance. As part of the visit of representatives of Drohobych raion to Donetsk oblast for the transfer of humanitarian aid and military equipment to servicemen of military formations from Drohobych raion, a Memorandum on cooperation and mutual assistance was signed with the local district military administration. The main essence of the agreements is to help military formations and internally displaced persons who are on the territory of each other – Pokrovsky and Drohobytskyi raions, respectively.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

Rivne Oblast

In Rivne, for the first time, practice of providing pre-medical care in combat conditions is being carried out. Paramedics, combat medics, doctors and volunteers teach participants how to stop bleeding from various types of wounds and evacuate from the battlefield.
In the universities of the Rivne oblasts, specialties are adapted to martial law. Each of the universities operating in the Rivne oblast will teach new professions that are relevant in wartime.
Chernivtsi Oblast
Currently, there are no active military operations in the territory of Chernivtsi oblast.
Bukovyna said goodbye to the Hero who died for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine – senior soldier Viktor Bodnaruk. The soldier was taken to the Sadhirsky cemetery in Chernivtsi on his last journey.
The mayor of Chernivtsi, Roman Klichuk, said that almost 900 displaced people live in kindergartens and schools. The authorities will try to resettle them by September 1. There are not many options. Perhaps they will be accommodated in dormitories. Currently, information is awaited from schools and universities regarding the recruitment of students for the first year, in order to know whether there are free places in the dormitories to accommodate these people.
Schoolchildren organized a charity fair in Chernivtsi. All funds from it will be transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Bukovyna Malanka was included in the list of elements of the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine.
The team of AUI “Active Community” of Chernivtsi organized a master class on making a motanka doll, which was attended by 13 women and girls from Kharkiv, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Bakhmut, as well as 3 Bukovinka. The main goal of the event: the psycho-emotional relief of its participants through joint creativity, familiarization with the culture and traditions of the oblast.
Zakarpattia Oblast
Zakarpattia singer Alina Pash presented a video for the new song Heaven, dedicated to the children killed by russia.
In Uzhhorod, they created a “Tale on a helmet” to help an injured rescuer. The action took place on Slavyanska embankment. 22 military helmets were painted by pupils of the “PADIYUN” palace of children’s and youth creativity. The helmets will be sold at a charity auction, and the collected funds will go to the treatment of a 22-year-old employee of the State Emergency Service, who was blown up during demining.
