About us: The “Active Community” initiative was launched by activists of the “Republika” Institute after the Euromaidan (2014), which focused on the activation and involvement of Ukrainians in the decision-making process. The goal for 2025: to activate and involve at least 1% of citizens in making decisions and promoting reforms in Ukraine on a systematic basis for the well-being of Ukrainian communities. Ukraine in brief

In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the restriction on visiting forests by the civilian population in the border areas of the republic of belarus with Ukraine continues. The operational-tactical level of aerial reconnaissance by UAVs in the border regions of the Volyn region is noted.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy shelled civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Znob-Novhorodske, Khrinivka, Senkivka and a number of other settlements. Conducted aerial reconnaissance near Znob-Novhorodske.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy carried out fire damage from barrel and rocket artillery, in particular near Borshchova Sosnivka, Petrivka, Rubizhne, Mospanove, Chuhuyiv, Svitlychne, and Slatyne. Carried out airstrikes near Zalyman, Mospanove and Yavirske. With the forces of the reconnaissance group, the enemy tried to reveal the construction of the defense of our troops in the area of Chepil settlement. The occupants were neutralized.
In the Slovyansk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Nortsivka, Dolyna, Hrushuvaha, Krasnopilla, Mazanivka and other settlements with barrel, rocket artillery and tanks. It tried to advance near Bohorodychne, was unsuccessful, and withdrew.
In the Kramatorsk direction, artillery shelling was recorded near Raihorodok, Zakitne, Serebryanka, Verkhnyokamyanske, Vyimka, Pereizne and Bilohorivka. The enemy launched an air strike near Hryhorivka.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy fired at military and civilian infrastructure in the districts of Berestove, Soledar, Pokrovske, Vesela Dolyna, Vershyna, Kodema, Mayorsk and Toretsk. Cynically carried out airstrikes directly on the settlements of Pokrovske and Novoluhanske.
Our defenders successfully repelled enemy assault attempts in the districts of Berestove, Soledar and Semihirya. Fighting with an assault group continues in the Pokrovsky area.
The enemy did not conduct active operations in the Avdiyivka, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhzhia directions. It carried out systematic shelling of civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of the settlements of Vesele, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Pavlivka, Shevchenko, Velyka Novosilka, Novopilla, Malynivka, Novoselivka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky and a number of others.
Made an airstrike near Malynivka. The occupiers also carried out assaults in the areas of Pavlivka and Blahodatne villages. They were repulsed and retreated with losses.
In the South Buh direction, the enemy continues to focus its main efforts on holding the occupied positions and preventing the advance of our units. The enemy actively conducts aerial reconnaissance by UAVs and fires along the contact line.
The adversary has a systematic problem with personnel replenishment – the russian federation is already trying to recruit mercenaries from among citizens of Central Asian countries, representatives of remote regions and imprisoned criminals.
Northern Oblasts
Kyiv city
The capital is gradually being restored. In April of this year, 400 million hryvnias were allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget to eliminate the consequences of hostilities in the Kyiv region. These funds are intended for the restoration of those objects that have suffered minor damage. In particular, to replace windows, doors, and repair roofs in buildings. 139 facilities have already been repaired, while others are in progress.
Kyiv Oblast
400 suburban and intercity public bus routes have already resumed operation in the Kyiv Oblast. About 800 vehicles are involved in them. Currently, all regions of the Oblast are provided with passenger transportation.
The head of the regional military administration, Oleksiy Kuleba, reported that a number of historical and cultural heritage monuments were damaged at the hands of the russian invaders. The Weaving Museum in Obukhovychi was damaged. The invaders defaced the museum’s property. They also used woven fabric and rushnyks instead of blankets when arranging their sleeping places.
The Irpin City Library collected 1,100 kilograms of russian-language and soviet literature, which was handed over for waste paper. The 5,500 hryvnias collected for the books will be used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The townspeople collected such a number of books in just a week.
It is planned to build a modular town “Spilnokhutir” on an area of more than 100 hectares in the Obukhiv Raion of the Kyiv Oblast. People who were forced to leave their homes because of russian military aggression will be able to settle there. In this modular town for displaced people, it is planned to build not only modern and comfortable houses, but also to equip agro-industrial and technical parks, as well as forest park zones.
Zhytomyr Oblast
The Humanitarian Headquarters of Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration continues its activity. It recently handed over a batch of humanitarian aid in the form of about 12,000 mattresses to the Berdychiv, Zhytomyr, Korosten and Novohrad-Volynskyi Raions for the accommodation of internally displaced persons. This was made possible thanks to the established cooperation of the oblast military administration with international funds and organizations, including UNICEF, thanks to which it was possible to receive this humanitarian cargo.
Almost 12,500 residents of Zhytomyr Oblast lost their jobs due to the war.
In Zhytomyr Raion, the Chudniv hromada paid a last tribute to Hero Ruslan Yatsiuk, who died near Bakhmut.
The coordinator of the All-Ukrainian Initiative “Active Community” established relations with representatives of the authorities regarding internally displaced persons.
Chernihiv Oblast
During the day, Chernihiv Oblast was continuously shelled. The Semenivka hromada was shelled 6 times, 34 explosions were recorded in total. 24 from barrel artillery and 10 from mortars.
19 explosions from barrel artillery were recorded in the Horodnia hromada.
There were 4 explosions from mortars in the Snovsk hromada. 12 MRLS “Grad” explosions in the area of Mykhalchyna Sloboda settlement in Novhorod-Siverskyi hromada.
Today, after 6 a.m., the village of Leonivka was shelled by mortars.
After 10 a.m., shelling from barrel artillery continued near the village of Girsk. There is no information about infrastructure damage.
At the next session of the Chernihiv City Council, the issue of renaming 18 streets will be considered.
Sumy Oblast
The night in Sumy Oblast was quiet, but at 6 a.m. the russians fired 6 mortar shells at the territory of the Seredyna-Buda hromada. There were no casualties or damage.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
At about 5 o’clock in the morning, the occupiers attacked the civilian infrastructure of the Slobidskyi district.
As a result of the shelling, the roof of the car showroom was on fire, several more shells hit the open areas. There were no casualties.
The russians struck Chuhuiv again. There were hits on critical infrastructure.
Rescuers continue to eliminate the consequences of yesterday’s destruction of the cultural center, where people still remained in the basement. The body of a dead 30-year-old woman was found.
Throughout the oblast, during the day, the occupiers attacked the Tsyrkuny community, where a residential building was damaged.
In the Balaklia community, a civil infrastructure object was damaged as a result of shelling.
Donetsk Oblast
In the Slaviansk direction, the enemy shelled the districts of Nortsivka, Bogorodychne, Dolyna, Chepil, Hrushuvaha and Velyka Komyshuvakha.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on trying to improve the tactical position and creating conditions for an offensive on the cities of Siversk and Soledar.
In the Kramatorsk direction, shelling from barrel and jet artillery was recorded near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Dronivka, Hryhorivka, Verkhnyokamyanske, Zvanivka, Spirne and Pereizne. The enemy launched airstrikes near Spirne and Serebryanka. Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled enemy assaults in the areas of the Disputed and National Nature Park “Svyati Gory” and pushed the enemy back.
On July 25, the russians killed 3 civilians in Donetsk Oblast: 1 in Krasnohorivka, 1 in Soledar, and 1 in Mariinka. Another 8 people were injured.
642 civilians have been killed by the russians in Donetsk Oblast since the full-scale invasion. These are only those who have been identified.
The Donetsk Oblast Military Administration together with the Memorial platform are starting a new project – they will tell the stories of people whose lives were taken away by the russians.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
During the day, the occupiers shelled the settlements: Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Mariinka.
The russians bombarded the local population with aircraft, rockets, artillery, and reactive volley fire systems “Grad”. Civilians were killed and wounded, a child was injured.
The past day in the Pokrovsk community was relatively calm. No facts were recorded regarding casualties and destruction during the day.
Today, as a result of shelling, a fire broke out in a wheat field between the villages of Netailove and Karlivka (Pokrovsk Raion). Regular rescue units of the Avdiivka Garrison were sent to the scene. Upon arrival, the rescuers found that the field was on fire on an area of 2.5 hectares.

Bakhmut
In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy is firing artillery in the areas of the settlements of Berestov, Bilogorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Pokrovske, Kostyantynivka, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Vershyn, Semihirya, Kodema, Travneve, Mayorsk and New York. The Russians carried out airstrikes near Soledar, Veselaya Dolyna and the territory of the Vuglehirskaya TPP.
Assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Berestov and Semihirya ended with losses and retreat for the enemy.
The russians are purposefully targeting civilian infrastructure to sow panic.
Due to shelling, the functioning of the Artemsil plant in Soledar is limited.

Mariupol
In the city, the occupiers are removing windows from the surviving houses, taking away playgrounds, medical equipment and fountains.
In the near future, the russians plan to rename Mariupol to Zhdanov.
The russian army is trying to poison Mariupol residents with contaminated water. Escherichia coli bacteria has been found in the water they distribute to the townspeople.
In occupied Mariupol, the russians announced an introductory campaign for education and at the same time began to look for teachers. It will be impossible to get vocational training in Mariupol.
Luhansk Oblast
The Ukrainian military attacked the barracks of the russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Lysychansk. As a result of the strike, 12 russians were killed.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Yesterday, on July 25, russian troops shelled the settlements of Yuliivka, Yurkivka, Kamianske, Novokarlivka, and Orihiv. The police received 10 reports about the destruction of civil infrastructure objects as a result of shelling.
The russian occupiers continue to prevent people from leaving the occupied territories. During the week, 5 people died in line at the occupiers’ checkpoint in Vasylivka. Currently, 1,200 cars and about 5,000 people are waiting to travel to Zaporizhzhia.
According to the information of the state enterprise National Atomic Energy Generating Company “Energoatom”, up to 10,000 employees of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant remain in the temporarily occupied Energodar, and about a thousand employees have left.
Against the background of preparations for an illegal referendum, the occupiers in the Zaporizhia region began to issue russian birth certificates.
Kherson Oblast
Russian troops are strengthening their positions in the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions in anticipation of a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is stated in the report of the American Institute for the Study of War. The Institute noted that Ukrainian troops continue to strike russian strongholds along the southern direction.
Over the past day, police officers of the Kherson region have opened 11 criminal proceedings based on the facts of crimes committed by the russian military against the civilian population and infrastructure. Among them are 2 facts of collaborative activity, kidnapping of people and stealing of vehicles, shelling from rocket launchers, as a result of which civilians were wounded and fires broke out in forests and fields.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, Yuriy Sobolevskyi, reported that the Kherson City Water Supply Company billed Kherson residents for water in rubles at rates approved by the occupation authorities.
Mykolayiv Oblast
In the morning, the armed forces of the russian federation launched a massive rocket attack on Mykolaiv. As of 12:00 p.m., it is known that russian troops fired six Kh-59 missiles and twelve S-300 missiles at the city. Some of them were shot down by air defense units. It is known that two rockets hit the territory of the “Mykolaivoblteploenergo” boiler plant. Three sections of the non-working railway bridge were also destroyed due to shelling.
Odesa Oblast
A massive missile attack, including the use of aircraft, was launched from the direction of the Black Sea in the south of Ukraine. Several air-launched missiles were launched. In Odesa, private buildings in coastal villages have been hit, followed by a fire. Rescuers are working on the ground. There are no known victims, Operational Command “South” informs.
The Mayor of Odesa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, held another meeting of the working group on the development of alternative water supply in Odesa. Currently, three areas of work are highlighted: the construction of pumping stations, the construction of a system for the use of drainage water and water purification using systems transferred to Odesa by the sister city of Yokohama.
The construction of another pumping station complex is planned to start already in August of this year. The mayor also set the task of conducting an analysis of water from reservoirs for its further use after purification.

Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Yesterday evening, the Russian occupiers shelled Velika Kostromka. The shells hit the transformer, the support and the power line. There is no light on one of the streets of the village.
The Russians also shelled the Kryvorizky and Nikopol districts. A power line was damaged in Shirokivska hromada.
Ukrainian military from the region shot down a Russian Su-25 aircraft and a Ka-52 helicopter.
Over a week in Kryvorizhzhia, sappers destroyed more than 200 pieces of ammunition. On Monday, July 25, 17 more were found and eliminated.
In Kryvyi Rih, some fields will not be able to harvest due to explosive objects. In Apostolovo, it will be impossible to study in the three schools destroyed as a result of shelling by Russian troops. In the Zelenodol community, during harvest, a combine hit a projectile from the Russian “Uragan”. The combine was not damaged, but the equipment was badly damaged.
The city authorities of Dnipro together with the TAPS-Ukraine Foundation and the Coordination Headquarters of Volunteers handed over body armor, uniforms and humanitarian goods to the front. Kirovohradska Oblast
An air alert was announced in the region – there was a threat of a missile attack. In general, the situation in the communities is calm and under control.
A playground with the necessary parkour equipment will be created in Shevchenko Park in Oleksandria. Oleksandrii city mayor Sephii Kuzmenko told about the construction of the playground during a meeting with Bohdan Kolmakov, the winner of the World Cup Games.
At the Central Ukrainian National Technical University, the gardeners created the cross of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the national flag from flowers.
The cross of flowers is honor and gratitude to Ukrainian defenders. These symbols are intended to raise the fighting spirit of Ukrainians. To create flower beds, seedlings were planted at the end of May – almost two thousand verbena seedlings, more than 800 pieces of ageratum, 300 marigold seedlings and others. Flowers will bloom until September.

Poltava Oblast
The staff of the Poltava Oblast Theater named Gogol, in addition to conducting field performances, organizes master classes in acting, painting, choreography, vocals or hand-made for children of Poltava residents and immigrants. Every time there is a new group, so that as many children as possible can get to know the theater and spend their free time usefully.
To date, the National Police, together with the Inspectorate for Control of Public Works, Environmental and Sanitary Conditions of the city, continue to control the prevention of spontaneous trade in the area of the central market on Novy Bazar Street.

During the meeting, the participants communicated exclusively in Ukrainian, learned a lot of interesting things, and raised various topics for discussion. The team invites psychologists, art therapists, activists, teachers of the Ukrainian language to support women who have a desire to switch to or improve Ukrainian.
Western Oblasts
Rivne Oblast
The general situation is relatively calm, as of 17:30 there were no air alarms.
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine patrol the border with Belarus. Representatives of the security forces patrol and are on duty at checkpoints.
Comprehensive assistance will be provided to internally displaced citizens affected by the war in the Rivne region. This was discussed during a meeting of the Regional Coordination Council on Family, Demographic Development, Gender Equality, Prevention and Counteraction of Domestic Violence, Article-Based Violence and Human Trafficking. According to Roza Slobodenyuk, Director of the Department of Social Policy of the Regional State Administration, they are planning to expand the free and confidential services of the “Single Window” in Rivne Oblast. There is also a need to arrange “crisis rooms” for victims.
More than 90 tons of salt and 142 tons of peas will be provided free of charge as part of the work of the World Food Program.
From July 28, the exhibition of posters “All words now wear a military uniform” will be held at the Ostroh Museum of Books and Printing. The concept of the project is to show the beauty of the Ukrainian word, which came to the aid of the soldiers. All posters were created during a full-scale war and illustrate the common experiences and sentiments of Ukrainians.
12-year-old Yana Salo from the village of Dytynychi, in the Dubno Raion, arranged and sold bouquets of wild flowers. In this way, she collected funds to help the defenders of Ukraine. Within a week, the revenue of a young volunteer amounted to 8,050 hryvnias. The money thus earned were transferred to the Dubno Volunteer Center, which operates at the St. Nicholas Men’s Monastery.
The coordinators of the AUI “Active Community” conducted an art therapy master class on making angel amulets for children and adults who currently live in Rivne.
Zdovbytsia
The Zdovbytsia village council provides assistance to internally displaced persons in obtaining financial aid from international organizations.
Preschool children drew pictures, took their grandmother’s pies and went on the road to trade for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In just an hour, they sold those items for 288 hryvnias and 50 kopecks, and their mother donated and transferred another 200 hryvnias. All this money will go to the needs of the defenders of Ukraine.
At the school they continue to weave nets for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The general situation in the region is quiet. There were no air raid alerts.
As of today, more than 200 internally displaced persons live in the community.
Kamianets-Podilskyi

The city is preparing for the 31st anniversary of the Independence Day of Ukraine. The mayor addressed the residents of the community: “If you know volunteers or other people worthy of awards, please prepare a submission to the mayor for recognition of their merits.”
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the city has provided shelter for many Ukrainians from various regions – Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Donetsk, Luhansk, Mariupol, Sumy, and many others. It is they who propose to implement the “Feel at home!” project in Kamianka to the Independence Day. and reproduce the location of the native city in any art form.

Chernivtsi Oblast
During the day, an air raid alert sounded in the Chernivtsi Oblast. Currently, the situation is quiet and under control.
The boy Maksym, who moved with his mother from Pokrovsk to Chernivtsi, raised funds sufficient to purchase 25 bulletproof vests and a thermal imager.
Two hospitals in Chernivtsi received ambulances from the sister city of Mannheim.
In Chernivtsi, five families of IDPs from the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts received apartments to live in. These people moved to the oblast in 2014 when they were put on the queue for the obtaining of housing. The apartments were bought for almost 5 million hryvnias, part of the money was allocated by the city council, the other part was provided from the state budget.
Zakarpattia Oblast
There are workshops for people with disabilities in Uzhhorod. Their parents and the clergy of the region initiated the creation of the community.
Also, in Uzhhorod, a charity training on financial literacy will be held for children and their parents. The event will be conducted by Serhii Vozhzhov on July 31.
Transcarpathian plum lekvar (jam) is included in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine.
