Northern oblasts
Chernihiv Oblast
On August 27 and 28, russians shelled three border communities in the Chernihiv Oblast: Semenivka, Snovsk, and Novhorod-Siversk. No damage was reported.
Sumy Oblast
On August 27, the russian military attacked 8 communities in the Sumy Oblast. A total of 171 explosions were recorded. The shelling damaged a private household in the Seredyna-Buda community.
During the night and morning of August 28, the russian military carried out 9 shelling attacks on the border area of the Sumy Oblast, a total of 52 explosions were recorded. A household was damaged as a result of the shelling in the Shalyhyne community.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Over the past day, the enemy shelled several settlements in the Kharkiv, Izium, Chuhuiv, and Kupiansk raions.
A private house and a trade kiosk were damaged as a result of MLRS shelling in the village of Odnorobivka, Bohodukhiv Raion. A 39-year-old woman was killed. A 16-year-old girl was wounded. Her condition was assessed by doctors as mild, so she did not need hospitalization.
In the village of Cherneshchyna, Izium Raion, hostile shelling damaged the buildings of an agricultural enterprise and private residential houses.
As a result of mortar shelling of the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv Raion, at least 5 private residential buildings, a gas distribution pipeline, a trade kiosk, and a private car were damaged.
In addition, Veterynarne and Krasne of the Kharkiv Raion, Ohirtseve and Budarky of the Chuhuiv Raion, as well as Kamianka, Dvorichna, Sinkivka and other settlements of the Kupiansk Raion were under hostile fire.
Donetsk Oblast
On August 27, russian troops shelled 7 settlements in the Donetsk Oblast. The shelling damaged seven residential buildings, a gymnasium, and a mine. No civilians were killed or wounded.
Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,667 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,043. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
On the morning of August 28, the russian army shelled Kostiantynivka with artillery. The shelling damaged private houses and trucks. No civilians were killed or wounded.
In the Lysychansk sector, a house in Siversk was damaged, and 20 shelling attacks on the Lyman community were recorded.
On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine, specially designed structures depicting the Heavenly Army of Kramatorsk residents who died during combat operations were installed in the city. The project was implemented thanks to the charitable support of the IT company QuartSoft.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
In the Donetsk sector, the settlements of Hostre, Dalnye, Dachne, and Kurakhivka in the Kurakhove community came under fire, causing damage to the gymnasium.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
In the Horlivka sector, 2 houses in Kostiantynivka and a house in the Chasiv Yar community were damaged.
In the Toretsk community, 5 houses in New York and a mine building in Toretsk were destroyed.
The Ukrainian army liberated one square kilometer of territory in the Bakhmut sector within one week. The epicenter of the fighting was Klishchiivka.
Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion
In the Volnovakha sector, Vuhledar and Prechystivka are under fire.
Luhansk Oblast
Karmazynivka, Nevske, Chervonopovka, Kreminna, Bilohorivka, Kuzmine, Dibrova were subjected to artillery shelling by the occupier.
The vast majority of educational institutions in the Oblast house personnel of the russian army. Southern oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast

Zaporizhzhia Oblast
104 strikes were made by the russian army against the cities and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast last day. Almost 20 settlements were under fire.
Defense forces freed Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The Ukrainian military is advancing towards Novoprokopivka and Ocheretuvate. Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast was under occupation almost from the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Today, explosions were heard near the temporarily occupied Melitopol and Yakymivka of the Zaporizhia Oblast. The details are being clarified.
Odessa Oblast
In the Black Sea, the russian military keeps 12 warships. Among them is one surface and one underwater missile carrier.
In Odesa, people rallied near the city hall. They demanded to cancel the announced tenders for the reconstruction of the Kyiv District Court and the restoration of the Theater of the Young Spectator. Odessa residents believe that money from the city budget should be directed to help the army.
Kherson Oblast
During August 27, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 69 times. It fired 39 shells over Kherson. There are hits in residential quarters and the territory of the park. One person died, two were injured.
On the night of August 28, the russian army struck one of Kherson’s educational institutions. A fire broke out at the point of impact.
This morning, the enemy’s army shelled the Kherson Raion. A russian projectile hit a house in the village of Sadove. A 63-year-old woman was in the yard during the shelling. She died on the spot from her injuries. A 58-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a serious injury.
A man was detained in Kherson. During the occupation of the city, he worked in a pseudo-law enforcement agency. The prosecutor’s office suspects him of collaborative activity.
Over the weekend, 150 consumers were connected to electricity in the Korabelny microdistrict in Kherson. About 10,100 subscribers remain without power after flooding.
Central oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Two country houses were destroyed as a result of a rocket attack on Kryvyi Rih on the night of August 28. Five more buildings were damaged. An economic building was occupied. The Nikopol district was also shelled twice with heavy artillery. A private house was damaged there. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the shelling.
Two Kh-59 guided missiles, which the russian troops directed at Kryvyi Rih, were destroyed by the air defense forces. They were released from two Su-34 aircraft from the airspace of the occupied Kherson Oblast.
Ten thousand objects and five thousand homes were damaged in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast as a result of the armed aggression of the russian federation. 1,300 applications for assistance have been submitted. In total, almost 30 million hryvnias were paid to the residents of the oblast.
The Traveling Starobilsk Art Event was held at the Center of Modern Culture. They presented a photo exhibition of the same name of photos of pre-war landscapes of the Starobilsk Raion, in the Luhansk Oblast, taken by four photographers there. Today, this Oblast is under russian occupation.
Poltava Oblast
Today, the russian army shelled the Poltava Oblast. The enemy hit an oil mill in the village of Hoholeve, the Myrhorod Raion. The explosion caused a fire. As of 16:00, two dead and five injured are known. Rescuers continue to clear the rubble after the missile strike.
Western Oblasts
Rivne Oblast
The National University of Ostroh Academy hosted about 200 educators to discuss the strategy for the development of education in the oblast. In particular, the possibilities, goals and restart of the New Ukrainian School, one of the key directions of which will be national-patriotic education. The event was attended by the new Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi.
Volyn Oblast
Ten Volyn sappers returned from the Donetsk Oblast, where they had been demining the territories for 50 days. A total of 227 explosive objects were neutralized.
Lviv Oblast
During the “Defender of Ukraine Cup” in Lviv, UAH 80,000 were collected for the needs of Ukrainian soldiers. At the beginning of the competition, a memorial plaque was opened in memory of Mykola Zabchuk, a 25-year-old native of Lviv, who worked here before becoming a defender of Ukraine.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
The Department of Cyber Police has developed the electronic platform “MRIA”, which functions on the basis of the Telegram messenger. The main goal of the project is to counter kremlin propaganda and fake or pro-russian resources on the Internet.
Since the beginning of the year, residents of the village of Ivankivtsi, the Rozsosha community, have woven three hectares of camouflage nets.
Kamianets-Podilskyi
In the village of Kniahynin, a prayer service was held under an 500-year-old oak tree. During the prayer, UAH 10,500 was collected for the treatment of fellow villager Vitalii Ornatovskyi, who was recently injured.
In Kamianets-Podilskyi, the ninth charity festival organized by veterans of the Kamianets Raion took place. The event gathered creative teams, and during their performances, everyone willing made a contribution to help the army. All funds will be transferred to the needs of defenders at the front.
Chernivtsi Oblast
In the park named after Shevchenko, the dismantling of the monument on the grave of soviet officers has begun. The remains will be reburied in another city cemetery.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
During the year of the russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, fighters from one of the “Stuhna” units of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” blew up 12 tanks, armored vehicles and other russian equipment.
Zakarpattia Oblast
About UAH 40,000 were collected for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the patriotic Big City Ride in Uzhhorod. More than 500 cyclists took part in the bike race.
A sports event in support of Ukrainian veterans “Carpathian Mile” took place in Uzhhorod, which gathered more than a hundred people. On the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine, veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the National Police, participants of the Training Center, volunteers, and students raised funds for an SUV for the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. It was already prepared to be sent to the front.
