Northern regions

Kyiv Oblast

In Boryspil, a radiation shelter is being built for the Patriot Lyceum, designed to accommodate almost half a thousand people at a time. The shelter will have a medical room, a playroom, and a dining room. The new shelter will make it possible to organize in-person classes for school students in several shifts.

Chernihiv Oblast

Almost 90 attacks were recorded by the military in the Chernihiv Oblast over the last day. Russians shelled the border areas of the oblast.

Sumy Oblast

On April 9, the russian military shelled the Sumy Oblast 14 times. As many as 50 explosions were recorded. Six communities came under shelling.

At night and in the morning, the russian military opened fire three times targeting the Sumy Oblast. A total of 15 explosions were recorded. Three communities came under fire.

Due to hostilities in the Sumy Oblast, 4.9 thousand metering points were cut off from electricity.

All children from the 5-kilometer border zone of the Velyka Pysarivka community were evacuated. They are currently undergoing rehabilitation with their families in western Ukraine.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

In the Kupiansk sector, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled three russian attacks near Kyslivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv Oblast and Andriivka in the Luhansk Oblast. On April 9, six settlements underwent air strikes.

As a result of the shelling of the village of Starytsia in the Vovchansk community with MLRS, a 63-year-old man was wounded.

At night, russians shelled Husarivka, damaging the building of an educational institution. Also, two Russian UAVs hit Borova, causing damage to 7 houses, two cafes, a garage, a car, and more.

A residential building in Kucherivka caught fire as a result of shelling. The outskirts of Zahryzove in the Borova community were hit by a drone, as a result of which two excavators were damaged, one of them burned down completely.

This afternoon, the enemy shelled Lyptsi and Mala Danylivka in Kharkiv district. A 14-year-old girl was killed in the shelling of Lyptsi. At least two people were wounded – a 16-year-old boy and a 33-year-old female employee of a pharmacy.

A resident of Vovchansk was wounded as a result of the strikes by two KAB guided aerial bombs. The outpatient clinic was completely destroyed.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the site of the construction of fortifications in the Kharkiv Oblast.

Donetsk Oblast

Nine people were wounded and one killed in the Donetsk Oblast as a result of the russian shelling on April 9. In total, 1,908 people have been killed and 4,875 wounded since the beginning of the hostile invasion in the Donetsk Oblast.

Over 75 attacks and assaults have were repelled by the Ukrainian military on the eastern frontline. The russian federation continues to attack the most in the Novopavlivka sector, near Maryinka, and in the Bakhmut sector, where it is trying to break through the defenses of Chasiv Yar.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

Residential buildings and shops were hit by an air bomb in the area of ​​the non-working railway station of Kostiantynivka in the evening of April 9. The russian army hit the city with a KAB-500, it was the third aerial bombardment in a day.

In Kostiantynivka, the dead – a woman and a boy – were recovered from the rubble at the site of an airstrike on April 9. The search lasted a day, the first dead man was retrieved from the ruins the day before. Two women were also injured.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

The Bakhmut direction is the most difficult area where the positional war is taking place. If before the armed forces inflicted damage with manpower, now FPV drones and heavy weapons are the main weapons against the russian occupiers.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

On April 10, russian troops attacked the Mykolaiv Oblast with “shaheds”. At night, a critical energy infrastructure facility in the Mykolaiv Raion was damaged due to drone strikes. Also, as a result of the downing of one of the drones, a fire broke out at a recreational facility in the city of Ochakiv.

There was a large-scale emergency power outage in Mykolaiv. Subscribers from all areas of the city were left without electricity. As of 12:00, all 178 settlements have recovered.

The defenders of the Mykolaiv Oblast destroyed the russian “Grad” from which Ochakiv was fired upon.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

282 strikes on the territory of six settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast were carried out by the russian army yesterday, April 9.

The occupiers sentenced two residents of temporarily captured Melitopol to 20 and 16 years in prison. Thus, the volunteer of the “Ukrainian Volunteer Service” Marharyta Kharenko and the weightlifter Serhii Avramenko were accused of “cooperation with the special services of Ukraine” and the preparation of a terrorist attack, as a result of which the occupier died.

Odesa Oblast

At night, air defense forces shot down two enemy drones in the sky over the Odesa Oblast.

At dawn, the region was attacked with missiles, hitting the objects of critical, transport and logistics infrastructure. It is known about two injured employees of the transport enterprise. An energy facility, a private house and several cars were damaged.

Today, Odesa celebrated the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city from the Nazi invaders. 

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

The russian military attacked the Nikopol Raion six times on the night of April 10. The city of Nikopol, the Marhanets and Pokrovsk communities were under attack by drones and artillery. A medical facility and a private house were damaged. There were no casualties or injuries.

Air defense forces shot down a russian reconnaissance drone in the Dnipro Raion.
