Northern Oblasts 

Kyiv

An action in support of prisoners of war of the Mariupol garrison was held in Kyiv. The participants of the action came to once again remind the society and the authorities that they have been waiting for the return of their relatives from russian captivity for almost two years.

Kyiv Oblast 

The head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, together with the head of the Bucha raion state administration and communities of the Bucha raion, handed over the necessary military equipment to the 114th brigade of the territorial brigade. These are anti-drone guns, thermal imagers, optical sights, special anti-thermal imaging cloaks, etc.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In Wroclaw, Poland, an action was held in support of Ukraine and the Armed Forces, where they unfurled a large flag that hung on Zhytomyr’s Cathedral Square. This is how the “Flag of Life” marathon began, which, according to the organizers, will continue in different countries of the world. During the campaign, the first donations were collected for drones for the Ukrainian military.

Chernihiv Oblast

Yesterday, russian troops shelled the village of Medvedivka on the border of Chernihiv Oblast.

689 days of captivity: wives and family members of national guardsmen who were captured in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant on February 24, 2022, held an action in Chernihiv. People held placards with requests to return their relatives home as soon as possible.

Sumy Oblast 

During the day, the russian military carried out 36 shellings of Sumy Oblast. 191 explosions were recorded. 12 communities were shelled. As a result of the strikes, one person was injured, apartment buildings, private households, administrative buildings and vehicles were damaged.

Eastern Oblasts 

Kharkiv Oblast 

Two hangars and a shed of an agricultural enterprise in Vovchansk were damaged by the hits of guided air bombs of russia. There were no injuries as a result of the hits.

In addition to Vovchansk, three settlements in Kharkiv Oblast were hit by airstrikes on January 13.

In total, more than 15 settlements were shelled by the russians with mortars and artillery during January 13.

Near Synkivka, the russians conducted four assaults in a day, Ukrainian forces repulsed all of them.

Today, the russians shelled Odnorobivka with artillery in the evening of January 13. As a result of the hits, eight houses, farm buildings, power and gas networks, as well as a monument to the soldiers of the Second World War were damaged. No one was injured.

Donetsk Oblast 

The russian army shelled 9 settlements. 13 civilian objects were damaged – 8 residential buildings, a critical infrastructure object, farm buildings, a warehouse, a car.

In Donetsk Oblast, on January 13, two residents were injured by shelling from the russian army.

In the Donetsk Oblast, ten “points of invincibility” were destroyed by shelling from the russian army. Today, 197 such points are operating in the region.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

Yesterday, invaders from “Smerch” covered the village of Dovga Balka, damaging two private houses.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

Avdiivka came under air strikes and artillery attacks yesterday evening. A civilian was wounded, an apartment building and two private houses were destroyed. Another person was wounded in Ocheretyne.

From morning to evening, the occupants were shelling Kurakhove. There is damage to the town’s infrastructure, but no one was injured.

In addition, after midnight today, russia fired two missiles at Myrnohrad. At least 13 private homes, a cafe, a shop, outbuildings, a gas pipeline and 5 civilian vehicles were damaged. There were no reports of casualties. 920 subscribers were left without heating, and more than 500 private houses and more than 140 apartments were left without gas supply. As of 5 p.m., gas companies have restored gas supply to all customers in Myrnohrad. 

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Three private houses were damaged in New York City as a result of russian shelling.  

Luhansk Oblast

On January 13, the occupation forces attacked Nevske, Bilohorivka and Serebryanske forestry from the air. They conducted 14 air raids over the day.

Southern Oblasts 

Mykolaiv Oblast 

On January 13, in the afternoon, russian troops shelled the waters of the Ochakiv community in Mykolaiv Oblast. No one was injured or killed.   

In addition, on January 13, a house in the Bashtanka Raion caught fire as a result of the fall of the debris of a downed russian missile. The fire was extinguished, no one was injured or killed.

For the first time in 2024, a peaceful reminder rally was organized in Mykolaiv. The 120 participants included relatives of prisoners and missing persons from various units and branches of the military.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, the russian military conducted 146 strikes in 20 localities. There were no casualties. There were 23 reports of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, border guards operating UAVs repelled an attack by russian FPV drones. One of them was shot down.

Two attacks by the russian army near Robotyno were repelled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Zaporizhzhia sector yesterday, January 13. 

Odesa Oblast

A memorial plaque was unveiled in the town of Rozdilna in honor of Oleksandr Hizhytsia, a defender and fighter with the 126th Brigade of the terrorist defense. The memorial sign was installed on the facade of the lyceum where he studied. The soldier was killed in April in Kherson Oblast. He was 33 years old.

On January 14, in Odesa, relatives of the military once again picketed for the right to demobilization after 18 months of service.

A winter race was held in Odesa to raise funds for the marines of the 35th Brigade. The competition was attended by 80 runners.

Kherson Oblast

During the day, russian troops fired 103 times at Kherson Oblast. They hit residential areas and port infrastructure. Six people were wounded.

The russian army also attacked Kherson in the evening of January 13. A shell hit a house, a fire broke out, and was extinguished by the regional rescue service. 

At night, the russian military struck Kherson. A local resident was trapped under the rubble of his house. Rescuers helped him and handed him over to doctors.

Russian military attacked a fire department in Stanislav, Kherson Oblast, with a kamikaze drone. Four rescuers were injured. They were diagnosed with contusions, explosive and brain injuries. 20 houses, outbuildings and non-residential buildings were damaged. A fire truck was damaged as a result of the drone attack. Law enforcement officers opened a criminal investigation.

In the morning, in the village of Lviv, the russian army sent a drone at a police car. A 50-year-old police officer was wounded and the vehicle was damaged.

Also in Shlyakhove, a 27-year-old law enforcement officer sustained a contusion as a result of a guided bomb explosion.   

Over the past week, Defense Forces units found and defused 379 explosive devices in Kherson Oblast. They checked and demined an area of 703.52 hectares.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

The Air Force shot down a russian missile in the Kryvyi Rih raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Residents of the Marganets community in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast are offered free evacuation services by specialized medical transport accompanied by medical workers.

46 dead, 80 injured, 11 missing, 70 hours of search and rescue operation – today in Dnipro, in the Peremoha residential area, a memorial service is being held for those who died as a result of a russian missile hitting a high-rise building on January 14, 2023. Lamps were lit at the scene of the tragedy, people were carrying flowers.

Today, during the day, people were evacuated from the railway station and a private dentistry – there was a report of landmines.

In Dnipro, an action is being held in support of the families of prisoners of war. One and a half hundred people came out with posters calling for the return of their relatives from russian captivity.

Cherkasy Oblast 

Return the Heroes from captivity: an action in support of prisoners of war took place in Cherkasy. About a hundred people gathered on the square.

Poltava Oblast

On January 14, a peaceful picket was held in Poltava for the demobilization of servicemen after 18 months of service. The participants of the action demanded to revise the draft laws regulating the rights of servicemen to demobilization.

The Center for Veterans’ Development on the basis of Poltava Medical University provides psychological assistance, consultations on medical assistance and trains veterans’ assistants.

Vinnytsia Oblast

On January 14, in Vinnytsia, families of servicemen – women, mothers and children came to a rally in the center of the city. They demanded that the authorities demobilize the military after 18 months of service.

More than 60,000 hryvnias were collected by the folklore group “Lyubystok” from the village of Budy in Vinnytsia. The earned funds were transferred to the non-governmental organization “Patriot” ATO Participants” for the purchase of drones for the military.

Volyn Oblast

Combat training of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces took place in Volyn with the participation of the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev. A group of servicemen went through a psychological obstacle course to develop resistance to stimuli that may arise during combat.

Lviv Oblast

On January 13, a convention of nativity scenes and carols took place in the village of Mshanets in the Lviv Oblast. During the event, the Record of Ukraine for the performance of the carol “There in Bakhmut” was set.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

In the center of Ivano-Frankivsk, a picket continues for the demobilization of the military, which has been protecting the country from the russian military since the beginning of the full-scale war.

Zakarpattia Oblast

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi posthumously awarded Anatoliy “Varvara” Tegza, a Transcarpathian, a soldier of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with the III degree Order “For Courage” for personal courage shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless performance of military duty.

On the initiative of the students of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts, almost 13 thousand hryvnias were collected during the defense of their master’s theses. They were handed over to the volunteers of the Zakarpattia Military Support Movement for the purchase of drones for the Armed Forces.
