Northern Oblasts 

Kyiv

Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Séjournay arrived in Kyiv. This is his first official visit to Ukraine. Together with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Kuleba commemorated the victims at the memorial wall on Mykhailivska Square, and also discussed further deliveries of systems and missiles for the protection of Ukrainian skies, in particular, drones. France will help Ukraine to manufacture weapons independently.

A fire broke out in the “Cosmopolit” shopping center in the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv. About 200 people were evacuated.

In Kyiv, a temporary shelter was organized for more than 80 residents of buildings that were affected by the russian missile attack on January 2. In total, 33 houses, 3 schools and 3 kindergartens were damaged. More than half a thousand Kyiv residents applied for financial assistance.

Kyiv received 100,000 dry chemical heaters from international partners. They were sent to the east of Ukraine for the needs of the military on the front line.

Kyiv Oblast 

AR-15 rifles from the USA were handed over to Irpin. They were received by 35 members of the voluntary formation of the Irpin Territorial Community. Most of them took part in the defense of Irpin in 2022.

This year, a restorative treatment and rehabilitation hospital will appear in the Bucha community, where military personnel and civilians will be able to undergo treatment after injuries. The facility will be built at the expense of American sponsors.

Zhytomyr Oblast 

Five volunteers from Zhytomyr Oblast make FPV drones at home. They started production after several trips to the front. The cost of one drone reaches 14 and a half thousand hryvnias.

In Zhytomyr, on January 12, the center for teenagers “SviTy” was opened – a safe space where children aged 12 to 16 will be helped to overcome the stresses they are experiencing due to the war.

Chernihiv Oblast

40 explosions were recorded by the Armed Forces of Ukraine last day. The russian military shelled two border communities of Chernihiv Oblast with mortars and barrel artillery.

Today in Chernihiv Oblast, the Air Defense Forces worked. Debris from the downed rocket fell in the Bobrovytsia microdistrict in Chernihiv. According to preliminary information, there are no victims. Windows were blown out in some houses. The boiler plant stopped working due to the explosion, it has already been restarted.

Sumy Oblast 

During the day, the russian military carried out 50 shellings of Sumy Oblast. 260 explosions were recorded. 12 communities were shelled.

On the night of January 13, the russian army struck 4 communities of the Sumy Oblast. 21 explosions were recorded. In particular, the russian army fired 4 S-300 missiles at Velikopysarivka community in Sumy Oblast. A number of civil infrastructure objects were damaged: 10 private houses, a power line, a farm hangar, etc.

The russian army hit Shostka with Kh-22 supersonic cruise missiles. As a result of the attack, a 47-year-old woman was injured. The blast wave damaged 26 buildings. 12,000 apartments of Shostka residents were left without heating. The russian army hit an infrastructure object. Heat supply is restored.

Eastern Oblasts 

Kharkiv Oblast 

Over the past 24 hours, more than 15 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast have been hit by russian artillery and mortar strikes.

Vovchansk and Zolochiv were hit by guided air bombs on the evening of January 12 and the night of January 13. There were no injuries. As a result of the strikes on Zolochiv, five private houses were damaged.

Nine attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces near Sinkivka and Petropavlivka.

In the Kupyansk direction, about 10 soldiers of russia surrendered as prisoners due to frost.

Donetsk Oblast 

On January 12, the russian army shelled 11 settlements in Donetsk Oblast 21 times. 18 civilian objects were damaged – 13 residential buildings, kindergartens, critical infrastructure objects, and a warehouse.

On January 12, one person died in Avdiyivka from shelling by the russian army.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Donetsk Oblast, 1,832 people have been killed and another 4,474 people have been injured by shelling from the russian army.

The Ukrainian military repelled 62 attacks by the russian army on the eastern front in the Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts. Most of the battles took place in the Avdiyivka and Maryinka directions.

Workers from other regions of Ukraine will be involved in the construction of fortifications in Donetsk Oblast. The first brigades should arrive in the region already next week.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

Yesterday, russian troops struck the village of Dovga Balka from “Smerch” MLRS. A private house, gas pipeline, power line were damaged.

Russia directed the S-300 missile at Illinivka. The warehouse was damaged.

On the night of January 13, russian troops hit Kostyantynivka with two rockets. There are no dead or injured civilians.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

The occupiers hit Avdiyivka with air force and artillery – they killed a person.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

Yesterday, the enemy was attacking New York from Grady. 5 private and 3 apartment buildings were destroyed.

Mariupol

In Mariupol, the old water tower, which is one of the architectural monuments of the city, began to collapse. The tower was not damaged during the russian shelling of the city, but began to crumble without proper maintenance.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolayiv Oblast 

During the day of January 12, russian troops attacked two communities in the Mykolayiv Oblast. As a result of the shelling, residential buildings and power lines were damaged. There are no injuries or deaths.

On January 13, a house caught fire in the Bashtanka raion of Mykolaiv Oblast as a result of falling debris from a downed russian missile. According to preliminary information, there are no injuries.

On January 13, the peaceful action “Prisoners and missing persons should be at home” was organized by relatives of military personnel in Novyi Buh. More than 50 people came with the flags of various units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the day, electricity was restored in 15 settlements in the Mykolayiv Oblast.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy hit 19 settlements – 129 hits were recorded. 17 reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings. No casualties.

Eight attacks by the russian military to the west of Verbove and Robotyne of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast were repulsed by the Defense Forces last day, January 12.

In the Khortytskyi district of Zaporizhzhia, the hostesses of one of the high-rise buildings prepare pies, buns and rolls for the Ukrainian military. Up to 800 products are baked and fried in one day. Then they are packed in cardboard boxes and sent to the front line.

Odesa Oblast 

Italy plans to provide 500,000 euros for emergency work at the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa, which was hit by a russian missile in July 2023. This is the first tranche, it should reach UNESCO’s accounts by the end of January.

Kherson Oblast

Russian troops shelled the Kherson Oblast 71 times yesterday. There are hits in residential quarters and the territory of the educational institution.

At night, as a result of russian shelling in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson, a water pipe was damaged in one of the apartment buildings. To prevent flooding of the apartments, the emergency service temporarily shut off the water supply. Repair work is ongoing.

Beryslav was shelled by the russian army at night. Russian shells hit the residential area. A 71-year-old woman was found under the rubble of an apartment building. It was unblocked by rescuers.

In the morning, the russian army struck Dniprovskyi in the Kherson Oblast, a woman was injured. Also at night, the russian military shelled Sadove. A private house burned down. An elderly man was injured.

Today Mykhailivka in the Kherson Oblast was shelled by the russian army. The occupiers targeted the apartment building. There are no casualties or injuries.

50 sets of warm clothes from the German Children’s Charity Fund were distributed in Kherson today. The belongings of the people whose houses were flooded as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP by the russian military are being handed over for the second time.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

An agricultural enterprise was damaged by shelling in the Synelnyk district of Dnipropetrovsk on January 12. Russian troops also fired a missile at Dnipro Raion. Nikopol was shelled three times with artillery. A utility company was damaged. No one was killed or wounded in the shelling.

On the night of January 13, russian troops attacked Nikopol Raion. They shelled the district center and Chervonohryhorivka community with artillery. No one was killed or injured.

Air defense forces destroyed two missiles of russian troops in Kryvyi Rih Raion.

There were hits in Dnipro after a missile attack. No one was killed or wounded. Two medical facilities were damaged. In one of the outpatient clinics, the shock wave smashed 28 windows, the entrance, and internal doors.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Last night, air defense was operating in Kirovohrad Oblast. Preliminarily, there were no injuries or damage. 

Power companies have restored electricity to 6 more settlements in Kropyvnytskyi Raion. Currently, 38 settlements are disconnected from the power supply, affecting more than 2,500 customers. Emergency crews continue to work. 

Cherkasy Oblast 

Cherkasy Oblast has donated almost UAH 14 million worth of aid to the military. Thus, Cherkasy defenders received more than four dozen units of material and technical reinforcement. At the expense of the Cherkasy regional budget, 17 anti-drone rifles, 25 electronic warfare devices to counter UAVs, and the necessary equipment for control centers were purchased for them.

There is a social project for injured soldiers in Cherkasy based at the Dnipro Municipal Sports Club. Currently, veterans with injuries of varying severity are engaged in sports in the weightlifting room. However, over time, they plan to equip a special gym for the rehabilitation of the military.

Law enforcement officers organized training in tactical medicine based on the MARCH algorithm of actions and first aid. At the sports school, the police are conducting a two-day training session to teach civilians how to provide first aid in cases of emergency.

Poltava Oblast

At night, the russian army shelled Poltava Oblast. A rocket fell on a private yard in Kremenchuk Raion, but did not explode. No one was injured or killed. The impact damaged an outbuilding. Air defense forces were also working in the region.

About 400 apartments for IDPs are planned to be built in Poltava Oblast. The project “Improving the living conditions of internally displaced persons in eastern Ukraine” is funded by the International Organization for Migration. The housing will be of two types – affordable and social. Affordable housing will be provided for rent, and the money received will be used to build and maintain housing infrastructure for IDPs.

Vinnytsia Oblast

A series of books about the Heroes of Ukraine from Vinnytsia Oblast will be published. Three stories about the military are currently being prepared for publication. They plan to write books about both living and fallen defenders who have this title.

The Vinnytsia Regional Youth Center Kvadrat hosted a photo exhibition of the “I Am a Woman” project. A total of ten photo portraits were exhibited. They feature the wives of fallen defenders from Vinnytsia and other parts of Ukraine.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

This morning, during the repulsion of the russian attack, air defense forces were working, an air target was shot down within the Khmelnytskyi Oblast, critical infrastructure and civilians were not harmed.

All settlements in Khmelnytskyi Oblast that were cut off from electricity due to the weather have been restored.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Anesthesiologist Andriy Anosov received the honorary award “For Merit to Bukovyna”. The doctor is currently working in a stabilization team that provides first aid to seriously wounded and transports them to the hospital.

Volunteers from Putyla Raion promptly collected and sent the necessary medicines to the front. With the onset of cold weather, in addition to the wounded, people with colds are also turning to local doctors. In addition, a powerful generator was sent to the defenders in the Bakhmut sector. It was provided by the Ust-Putyla community for the needs of the Armed Forces.

 Pierre Soler is a former French paratrooper. He is now retired. He is 71 years old. However, since the war started in Ukraine, Pierre has been traveling to Ukraine in a bus with a trailer he bought himself and delivering humanitarian aid to the soldiers.

Zakarpattia Oblast

Another industrial park will appear in Zakarpattia – the sixth one. The decision to create it was made at a regular government meeting. It is a long-term investment of more than UAH 5 billion and the creation of about 2,000 new jobs.  

The Zakarpattia Regional Clinical Center for Neurosurgery and Neurology has been operating as a center of excellence since 2023. It is a rehabilitation department that demonstrates a multidisciplinary approach, patient-centeredness, and the most modern evidence-based rehabilitation methods for our military. There are only six such centers in Ukraine.   

Volunteers of the Transcarpathian military support movement “Charity Carol” continue to organize concerts by the region’s creative teams, and the proceeds go to buy drones for the Armed Forces. To date, they have raised more than 15 thousand hryvnias.
