Kyiv

At night, 9 enemy UAVs were shot down in the airspace around Kyiv. The enemy used “Shahed” loitering munitions. The drone attack was actually carried out in two waves, stretched as much as possible in time. In this way, the enemy tried to realize its tactical goal – to attrit the air defense forces. That’s why, the last night air raid alert in Kyiv lasted for a long 5 and a half hours. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties and no hits to infrastructure.

As part of the visit of the head of the Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, two documents were signed formalizing the provision of a $400 million aid package to Ukraine: $100 million in humanitarian aid, and $300 million in oil products.

Swiss light artist Gary Hofstetter visited Kyiv and illuminated the city’s notable buildings. On Sunday, February 26, Gary Hofstetter created artistic projections on the buildings of the Verkhovna Rada and the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.

Today, an exhibition of military photographer, Lieutenant of the National Guard of Ukraine, Mykola Anatskyi, who tragically died in the helicopter crash in Brovary on January 18, 2023, along with his leadership and colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was opened at the Zoloti Vorota metro station. The exhibition “Interrupted Flight” features 30 photographs by Mykola Anatskyi, which he took on business trips with Denys Monastyrskyi, in particular during the war in Kramatorsk, Vinnytsia, Kremenchuk, Kharkiv, Bakhmut, and more. The exhibition of photographs offers an opportunity to understand and feel what Denys Monastyrskyi and his team managed to do during the year of the war.

Kyiv Oblast

The organizers note that every German family could take home any children’s drawing they liked from the exhibition.

Immediately after the outbreak of the full-scale war, the famous Irpin embroiderer Hanna Korzhenivska put her embroidery aside and started knitting warm socks for the defenders of Ukraine. In a year, the craftswoman has already knitted 100 pairs of such socks.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In Zhytomyr, they said goodbye to the Hero: Vasyl Grechukh was killed in action on February 16 near Bakhmut. From the first days of the invasion, he voluntarily went to the recruitment office, and, in the summer, he heroically insisted and achieved a transfer to Bakhmut. He died there from a shrapnel wound.

Estonia will allocate 30 million euros, over three years, for the reconstruction of the Zhytomyr Oblast. This was announced by Vitaliy Bunechko, the head of the Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration, in an interview with Ukrinform. “We have a program to use 30 million euros from Estonia over 3 years. Estonia decided to build a kindergarten in Ovruch. This community is located closest to belarus. The kindergarten is already being actively built, and there are specific deadlines for when it has to be commissioned,” said Vitaliy Bunechko.

In addition, the bridge in Malyn, which divides the city into two parts, will be rebuilt with 50/50 co-financing from the state budget and the money coming from Estonia.

Seven-year-old Zoriana Suprun from Zhytomyr cut off and sold 43 centimeters of her hair. The girl donated the money, 5000 hryvnias, to Serhiy Prytula for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Photographer Leonid Shevchuk showed in his photos Zhytomyr and some settlements of the oblast during the year of the full-scale war. The photographer’s exhibition “Flash of the Moment” presents documentary-historical photographs depicting various events and people’s emotions related to the effects of the full-scale invasion.

Chernihiv Oblast

On February 27, russian troops shelled the Semenivka community in the Chernihiv Oblast with drones and mortars. The military recorded two hits from a 120-mm mortar and an explosion of, probably, a fragmentation grenade, dropped from a UAV near the village of Tymonovychi. The air defense forces in the Chernihiv Oblast destroyed the enemy drone.

On February 26, russians shelled the Snovsk community in the Chernihiv Oblast. The fire was directed at the village of Yeline. The military recorded eight hits from a 120-mm mortar. A fire broke out, destroying two residential buildings and two outbuildings. No one was killed or wounded, as the residents of these houses had evacuated earlier.

In the Chernihiv Oblast, they said goodbye to Captain Volodymyr Babko, who was killed in action in the Donetsk Oblast.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past day, the enemy massively shelled the border settlements of the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, and Kupiansk raions with artillery and mortars.

In Vovchansk, one of the shells hit a private farmstead. The house was damaged, the garage and outbuildings were destroyed. Also, a fire broke out. A 73-year-old man sustained a shrapnel wound. He was hospitalized in the state of moderate severity.

A private house and a garage were damaged by hostile shelling in the village of Kurylivka, Kupiansk Raion.

Demining works continue. Over the past day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service neutralized another 84 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions. Last day, Ukrainian defenders repelled 81 attacks by the occupiers in these directions.

In the Lysychansk direction, shelling of Siversk and the outskirts of the community was recorded.

On February 26, the russians wounded 2 residents of Donetsk Oblast: in Hirnyk and Zoriane.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the russians have killed 1,387 civilians in Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,096. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha remains unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the east of Pokrovsk Raion, shelling of the Kurakhove community was recorded. As a result, 1 person was injured and 4 houses were damaged in Hirnyk; a house and a shop were damaged in Hostre, another house was damaged in Kurakhivka.

Shelling of Mariinka and Ocheretyne communities was recorded at night.

In Avdiivka, there were isolated hits during the night, and in the morning there were 2 massive attacks on residential and industrial zones.

Myrnohrad community (Pokrovsk Raion) was hit by two missiles. According to preliminary information, the russians used S300 missiles, damaged 4 private houses and the stadium. Presumably, there were no casualties.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to attack the positions of the Ukrainian troops. The invaders carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near the settlements of Dubovo-Vasylivka, Yahidne, Bakhmut, Ivanivske and Pivnichne. Areas of more than 25 settlements in the Donetsk Oblast were shelled, including: Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Bila Hora, Ozarianivka, Stupochki, Zalizne and Pivdenne.

In Bakhmut, 9 high-rise buildings and a kindergarten were damaged during the day. 6 houses were damaged in Vasiukivka (Soledar community).

Luhansk Oblast

Active fighting is taking place in all three directions: in the Svatove community, near Kreminna and in Bilohorivka.

The escalation has been going on for several weeks. Many units of heavy equipment are concentrated in the occupied part of Luhansk Oblast and a reserve of russian personnel has been brought up.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday and today, the enemy fired artillery at two settlements of the Kutsurub community. There were hits on the open territory and the surroundings. There were no casualties or damage.

Also, yesterday, enemy mortar fire was recorded in the water area of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Odesa Oblast

The day passed peacefully, but the danger of rocket attacks remains.

According to DTEK Odesa Grids, an emergency disconnection of a high-voltage line occurred in Odesa Oblast this morning. As a result, almost all districts of Odesa and Odesa Raion were temporarily left without electricity supply. In this connection, the pumping stations of the “Infoksvodokanal” branch were de-energized and interruptions in water supply to consumers occurred. In order to restore the water supply, the vast majority of pumping stations were switched over to generators. However, the considerable capacity and technological conditions of operation of some pumping stations do not allow the use of autonomous power sources. Specialists of NPC Ukrenergo and DTEK Odesa grids are doing everything possible to solve this issue as quickly as possible in the coming hours.

Kherson Oblast

Russian army shelled Kherson Oblast 97 times, Kherson city itself – 21 times. Fire aimed at living areas. One person was killed, two people were injured.

Starting from midnight of February 27 russian army shelled Kherson community three times. Microdistrict Ostriv was under attack, also a hit took place around “Palada” factory. There were no victims – the City Council informed.

During occupation of Boryslav russian soldiers robbed buttermilk manufactory. They took furniture from office building and equipment from storage also damaging the very buildings – the Police informed.

During the day russian army shelled populated areas of five communities of Beryslav Raion. In particular: Chervonyi Maiak, Mylove, Kachkarivka, Novooleksandrivka, Mykhailivka, Zolota Balka, Lvove and Zmiivka. Living houses and farm buildings were damaged. There are no victims or injured people – said the head of the raion military administration Volodymyr Litvinov.

Because of fear of deoccupation, so-called “administration” of Oleshky and Skadovsk is planning to run to occupied Crimea. On February 21, local collaborators went to Bakhchysarai, Symferopil and Kerch. On February 24 russian occupants announced so-called “evacuation” for anyone willing.

In the Kherson Oblast, artillerymen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a watercraft converted for sabotage and reconnaissance groups along with 35 russian soldiers. Also, two warehouses with ammunition in the area of Nova Kakhovka and Solontsi were liquidated. This was reported by the Operational Command “South”.

The Kherson Theater presented the video book “Unbreakable Kherson Oblast” with poems by modern authors about the war.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of February 27, the russian military struck the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast twice. The Nikopol and Myrove community came under fire from heavy artillery. There are no injured. As a result of the attacks, eight private houses, an outbuilding, a car, gas furnaces and a power line were mutilated. The consequences continue to be clarified.

45-year-old Sergeant Vitaly Ganin from Kamianske was killed in battle in the Donetsk Oblast. Vitaly is survived by two daughters, parents and a sister. Also in the Donetsk Oblast, 50-year-old Serhiy Kosarenko from Kamianske was killed. He is survived by his wife, two sons, parents and a brother. 48-year-old soldier Oleksandr Manuylenko from Nikopol and 31-year-old Mykola Pogulych from Pokrov also died. Eternal glory to the heroes!

Explosive technicians from the police of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast are demining liberated settlements in the Kherson Oblast.

The Kolody holiday was celebrated on a grand scale in Dnipro. The ethnofest “Kolody nezlamnyi” (The invincible Kolody ) took place in four locations with national entertainment, dances and songs, contests and entertainment, treating visitors to traditional dishes, various dumplings and delicacies. Khmelnytskyi Oblast

On the night of February 26-27, the city of Khmelnytskyi was attacked by kamikaze drones. Three arrivals were recorded in the city. Two rescuers died. The girl, who was taken to the hospital, was transferred into outpatient treatment.

20 windows in two high-rise buildings were damaged. Utility workers are already eliminating the consequences of the shelling.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Two more defenders from Kamianets-Podilskyi died at the front. 24-year-old Denys Dubchak and 52-year-old Pavlo Shevchuk. Both died in the direction of Bakhmut.

The Charitable Foundation “Center for Assistance to Kamianets-Podilskyi residents – ATO participants’ received help from the Norwegian people and the UkrainasFrihetshjelp fund. That is a load of uniforms, which is still one of the most urgent requests. Part of the aid has already been transferred to the glorious Warriors in the Bakhmut direction. The next part is also waiting for its heroes.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna conducted the final journey of the Heroes who died defending Ukraine from the russian invaders: they said goodbye to sergeant Yury Borysov in the village of Krutenky, soldier Vasyl Daskaliuk on the Alley of Glory of the Central Cemetery of Chernivtsi. Eternal memory and glory to brave soldiers!

Vitaly Ivanenko and Stepan Danyliuk from Bukovyna were awarded the “Defender of the Native Land” award.

Another shipment of humanitarian aid left Novoselytsia City Council for our defenders and residents of de-occupied communities. The international organization “CAP ANAMUR”, the team of Novoselytsia Lyceum No. 3, residents of the villages of Strointsi and Rokytne joined the collection of cargo. This time, the military was sent a variety of goodies: canned goods, cereals, sweet water, meat products, fresh baked goods and many other things

30 pairs of tires for military equipment were additionally handed over to units of the Chernivtsi Territorial Defense. In particular, 12 pairs for freight transport, 12 for buses and 6 offroads. They were bought by Bukovyna IT specialist Oleksandr Hrybentsov together with his friends Mykola Kokalko and Yuliy Zalesky.

The Chernivtsi regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine provided our Oblast with 13 generators with a capacity of 10 kW. They will be installed in institutions where forced migrants currently live.

Homemade food, equipment and medicine: all this was received by the defenders of Bukovyna, who are defending Ukraine from the aggressor in the Luhansk, Donetsk and Kharkiv directions. Humanitarian aid was handed over to them by the Klishkivtsi community.

Zakarpattia Oblast

In Uzhhorod, under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Sports Billiards Federation of Ukraine (FSBU), the GGPoker Open Cup of Ukraine from the combined pyramid continues. UAH 50,000 from the prize fund will be used to support the Armed Forces.
