Kyiv
Due to the damage to the energy infrastructure object as a result of the russian missile attack on March 9 and the blackout of the boiler houses, “Kyivteploenergo” applied emergency response algorithms. More than half of the capital’s boiler houses switched to alternative sources of electricity supply. Currently, electricity supply to Kyiv consumers has been fully restored. Work on restoration of heat supply continues. Currently, 30% of homes are without heating. Utility workers plan to fully restore heat within a day.
The book of the “Azovstal” defender was presented in Kyiv. The defender of “Azovstal” Ruslan with the nickname “David” in the capital presented a book with the symbolic title “Mariupol. The book of the brave”. In it, the Azov resident shares his memories of the battles in the surrounded Mariupol plant. He remembers the loss of comrades, the battles and the life of the defenders of Mariupol, he remembers the living and fallen heroes who distinguished themselves in the battles for the city.
A patriotic mural train has started running in the Kyiv metro. drawings, words and phrases that have already become symbolic during the full-scale war are depicted on the carriages of the art train.
Kyiv Oblast
Today, on the territory of the Vyshgorod raion, work was carried out on the elimination of explosive objects.
Currently, 20 “Safety Classes” are functioning in educational institutions of the Kyiv Oblast. In “Safety Classes”, children study the rules of fire safety, the potential threat of suspicious objects, the procedure for actions in the event of an “Air Alarm” signal or other emergency situation. They are equipped with all the necessary materials and have the appropriate equipment.
Zhytomyr Oblast
The Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the “Caritas-Zhytomyr” charity fund: the benefactors intend to expand the scope of aid to residents of the Zhytomyr Oblast and participate in the restoration of housing damaged by russian bombing in various communities of the oblast.
More than eight hundred nets were woven by volunteers for the military during the year. Masking nets are made in the premises of one of the Zhytomyr libraries. Among other things, waste from the hosiery factory is used for weaving nets.
In a month, the volunteer organization “Team-M” from Malin produced and sent to the front about a thousand sets of vacuum food for the military. Almost 100 residents of Malin prepare food and borscht sets.
The German foundation plans to transfer modern equipment and medicines for the treatment of military personnel to the regional hospital and the Berdychiv hospital. New humanitarian projects for Zhytomyr Oblast were discussed with representatives of the German foundation “St. Augustine and Friends Help”, Gunter Maasen and his team.
Chernihiv Oblast
On March 9, the russians shelled the village of Yeline, located in the Koryukiv district of the Chernihiv Oblast. The military recorded 14 hits, probably from a 120 mm mortar.
On March 10, the russians shelled three communities in Chernihiv Oblast. The military recorded 11 mortar attacks in the village of Senkivka in the Horodnya community, grenade explosions in the village of Gai in the Novgorod-Siverskyi raion, 42 mortar attacks in the area of the village of Leonivka in the Semenivka community.
Today, explosive devices were detonated near the village of Shestovytsia.
Bombed by the russians on March 11, 2022, the Gagarin Stadium in Chernihiv is planned to be restored within four years and for approximately 700 million hryvnias from the state budget. Part of the rubble was dismantled at the destroyed stadium, and part remained on the territory of the sports complex.
Sumy Oblast
During March 9, the russians shelled the communities of Seredino-Buda, Bilopillya , and Nova Sloboda. An apartment in an apartment building was damaged in Seredyno-Buda. Near the house, farm buildings and a power line were damaged.
On the night of March 9-10, the russians shelled the Znob-Novgorod community with mortars. 6 hits are counted.
In the afternoon, the village of Khodine, Shostkinsky district, came under enemy fire.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Work continues in Kharkiv and the oblast to restore electricity supply after a massive rocket attack on March 9.
Currently, more than 90% of consumers in the Kharkiv Oblast have electricity. Residents of Vovchansk, Zolochiv, and partially Dergachi communities do not have electricity.
In Kharkiv, critical infrastructure and part of the consumers have recovered. Restoration work is ongoing. 470,000 consumers in Kharkiv and 50,000 in the oblast remain without electricity. Energy companies are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as soon as possible.
During the past day, the enemy massively shelled the border settlements of the Kharkiv, Chuguyiv and Kupyansk raion with barrel artillery, MLRS, mortars and other weapons.
In particular, Vovchansk, Kozacha Lopan, Dvorichna, Strelecha, Zapadne, Liman and other settlements were under enemy fire. Residential buildings and commercial buildings were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Donetsk Oblast
The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, and Shakhtarske directions.
Ukrainian defenders repelled 102 attacks by invaders in the raions of Zaliznyansk, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut and Ivanovske.
On March 9, russian troops shelled Donetsk Oblast 41 times with aircraft, S-300, Gradam, artillery, mortars, and tanks. Avdiyivka withstood the most airstrikes — the russian army attacked the city 17 times.
On March 9, one person was killed in Vovchenka and two more residents were injured in Kostyantynivka and Avdiyivka due to shelling by the russian army in the Donetsk Oblast.
Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 1,403 people have died in Donetsk Oblast, and 3,144 people have been injured. It is impossible to establish the exact number of dead and wounded in Volnovakha and Mariupol.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion
Eight residents were injured due to shelling of Kostyantynivka by russian troops. According to the prosecutor’s office, the russian army shelled the city’s residential quarters with the S-300 and Uragan anti-aircraft missile systems.
In the direction of Lysychansk, 10 shells landed in Torske and Zarichne of the Lyman community, 1 house was destroyed and several others were damaged in Siversk.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion
In the east of the Pokrovsk raion, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Maryinka, Pobieda.
Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Georgiivka, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka were subjected to heavy enemy fire.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
During the past 24 hours, the russian military shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of 16 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
On March 9, fires broke out due to shelling by the russians — rescuers extinguished 5 fires in Zaporizhzhia and Pology raion of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
At the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the occupiers are trying to change the design status of nuclear installations without authorization — they are illegally interfering with the operation of the heating and power supply systems.
Odesa Oblast
In the Odesa Oblast, the family of the deceased border guard Serhii Zheltyakov was awarded the Order «For Courage» of the III degree. He died on April 28, 2022 in the village of Solodke, Donetsk Oblast. The soldier is survived by his wife and 8-year-old daughter.
Residents of the Odesa Oblast have been restored to electricity, having completed repairs on high-voltage equipment. However, due to the reconstruction of the high-voltage substation, residents of the Suvorovsky district of Odessa received electricity only in the evening.

Kherson Oblast
Today, in the Kherson Oblast, near the village of Ishchenka, a car with four people was blown up by a russian mine. Two people died, two more were hospitalized. The prosecutor’s office has started an investigation.

In the area of islands in the Kherson Oblast, the Defense Forces destroyed a boat flotilla of seven russian vessels along with more than 20 saboteurs.
Residents of the Kherson Oblast announced their suspicion of collaborationism. The woman assumed the position of the so-called «principal of Nova Kakhovka School No. 1». In a pseudo-position, the suspect organized the educational process according to the standards of the russian federation.
In Kherson, employees of the city’s wastewater treatment plant, drivers of the motor transport service, and water supply service mechanics received 15 bulletproof vests. The protective equipment was provided free of charge by the Ua.Help volunteer center.
The Chornobaiv community received six new vehicles and two after maintenance. Two cargo minibusses, three minivans, and three cars were donated to the community by the Lithuanian tax service.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Russian troops shelled the Chervonohryhorivka community 5 times. A 73-year-old man was wounded. He is currently in hospital, his condition is stable. In the community, 13 private houses and 6 outbuildings, transport and agricultural enterprises, administrative buildings, cars, and power lines were damaged.
At night, the russians hit the Pokrovsk community. There was a hit on an energy facility. There are heavy destructions there. As a result of the shelling, 3 settlements were temporarily left without electricity.
Soldiers Lyudmila Yakovenko, who served in the Kryvyi Rih tank brigade, and Yevhen Dutko from Pokrov, returned from russian captivity.
A children’s room was opened in the Synelnykoe shelter. It is a place to engage in creative activities and take a break from everyday life. Various clubs work there, organize holidays, and hold educational and developmental classes. The space was renovated and equipped at the expense of benefactors. The concept was developed by psychologists.
Kirovohrad Oblast
An installation by blacksmiths Yuriy and Oleh Hrebeniuk from the town of Znamianka of Kropyvnytskyi Raion, was shown on Maidan Heroes Square in Kropyvnytskyi. The blacksmiths created a mobile installation out of ammunition fragments collected from different Ukrainian cities. The authors added a stand with photos of Ukrainian cities after attacks by russian troops to the installation.
Poltava Oblast
Poltava Oblast received a special vehicle for mobile medical teams. It is equipped with a patient monitor, a defibrillator, a refrigerator for medicines, and a mobile stretcher. The special vehicle will be used by medical teams to travel to far-flung communities. They will provide medical care directly in the vehicle and also work in outpatient clinics where many IDPs live. Such vehicles are already in use in the Kremenchuk, Myrhorod, and Pyriatyn communities. The vehicles were donated by the Red Cross.
71 streets in the Poltava community received new names. Most of them are located in Poltava. Today, 7 streets have been named in honor of fallen Ukrainian defenders. Poltava also now has Stepan Bandera Lane, Vyshnevetskyi Baida Lane, and Battle of Vorskla Street.
Sociologists in Poltava conducted a survey among Ukrainians on the advisability of studying russian in Ukrainian-language schools. 52% of respondents were definitely against the study.
Work resumes in Poltava on a mural dedicated to the struggle of the Ukrainian people against moscow’s expansion. Artist Dmytro Bilokin is working on the mural again. Western Oblasts
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
The first 22 defenders and 2 female defenders who signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine were allocated UAH 10,000 from the city budget. The community also allocates such one-time assistance for equipment or basic necessities.
Rivne Oblast
On Taras Shevchenko’s birthday, residents of Rivne and IDPs baked bread together for the military. About two dozen people gathered at a catering establishment. The event was a joint initiative of the Ostroh Princes Benefactors Foundation and the administrative service centers of Rivne and Kreminna. IDPs from Kherson and Mariupol also took part in the bread baking.
Rivne IT specialists, together with experts from the College of Economics and Business, are creating a children’s game for gadgets called “Rescuer”. This is the first product in Ukraine that will allow teaching in a playful way how to behave safely in everyday life, as well as fire safety rules.
Chernivtsi Oblast
A medical evacuation train of the Médecins Sans Frontières – Brussels charity foundation arrived in Bukovyna. It transported 12 patients from Donetsk Oblast. These include people with disabilities and seriously ill patients.
A resident of the village of Velykyi Kuchuriv, Silvia, sends handmade sleeping bags for Ukrainian soldiers to the front every week. She collects fabric and blankets from benefactors. The woman used to make wedding decorations, but with the beginning of the full-scale invasion, she changed her hobby, which brought her income, to volunteering.
Zakarpattia Oblast
Last year, the main item of expenditure was support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The city council allocated about UAH 40 million for this purpose. This year, it is planned to allocate about 100 million hryvnias from the community budget for the needs of the defenders.
In Uzhhorod, IDPs with disabilities of groups I and II are given vouchers for UAH 6,600. The voucher program is designed for three months at UAH 2200 per person per month. They are issued on a one-time basis.
The Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center has issued a new batch of humanitarian aid to IDPs registered in Uzhhorod. The Center’s partners are philanthropists from the Slovak Republic. The food packages and diapers for children were provided by the NGO Quality of Life.
