Northern Oblasts
Kyiv
An action in support of prisoners of war was held in Kyiv and other major Ukrainian cities. Relatives and friends took to the streets with posters calling for the return of all prisoners to their homes.
A charity race with obstacles was held in the capital on Trukhanov Island. More than two thousand participants overcame the track with obstacles of varying difficulty. In particular, athletes with amputations took part in the event. The purpose of the event is to raise money for prosthetics and rehabilitation of the soldier, as well as to purchase FPV drones for units of the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
Zhytomyr Oblast
A sports and patriotic race “Run for the Victory of Ukraine” was held in Malyna in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 380 participants took part in the race, the oldest of whom was 75 years old, and the youngest was 4.
Chernihiv Oblast
Eight villages and Semenivka on the border of Chernihiv Oblast were shelled by the russians last day.
Sumy Oblast
On April 20, the russian military carried out 54 shelling of the Sumy Oblast. 283 explosions were recorded. One person is injured. 13 communities were shelled.
At night and in the morning, the russian army attacked Krasnopillya and Seredina-Buda communities in the region with artillery. Consequences are clarified.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Yesterday evening, the russians hit the village of Mala Rogozyanka with a guided aerial bomb. A 56-year-old man was buried under the rubble. He was saved. The injured person was taken to the hospital with pelvic and head injuries.
260,000 subscribers of the Kharkiv Oblast are without electricity due to network restrictions. Also, due to network damage, 650 consumers were disconnected from the gas supply in the region.
In Kharkiv, light-off schedules cannot be maintained due to overloading of the energy system and energy shortages. In order for the city to be able to pass the next heating season and have a stable electricity supply, equipment that is not produced in Ukraine is needed.
Kharkiv Oblast received two more powerful generators of 132 kW each from Kyiv Oblast. In total, the Kyiv Oblast has already transferred almost 130 generators.
Donetsk Oblast
Yesterday, 10 settlements came under shelling in the Donetsk Oblast.
Two people were wounded in Krasnohorivka and Ocheretyn from shelling by the russian military on April 20.
The Ukrainian military repelled 99 attacks by the russian occupation forces on the fronts of Donetsk Oblast, Luhansk Oblasts and Zaporizhzhia during April 20. Most of the attacks took place in the Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Novopavlivka directions.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion
Yesterday, the russian military shelled Kostyantynivka with “Uragans”. The consequences are being clarified.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion
This morning, the russian military attacked the town of Ukrainsk in Donetsk Oblast, killing one person and wounding four residents. The russian military also struck Tsukuryno with an X-31P anti-radar missile, causing no casualties or injuries.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion
Yesterday, russian troops fired artillery at Toretsk and hit a private house.
The enemy has managed to gain a foothold in the area of Bohdanivka near Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast. Fighting is taking place on the outskirts of Chasiv Yar, with the russian army hundreds of meters away from the town.
Southern Oblasts
Mykolayiv Oblast
On April 20, the russian army attacked a Lancet UAV in the open territory of the Radisnyi Sad community. No one was injured. The russian military also fired artillery and mortar shells at the Kutsurub and Ochakiv communities. Residential buildings were damaged in the village of Solonchaky, but no one was injured.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
The russian army conducted 390 attacks on seven towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia Oblast over the course of a day on April 20. As a result of russian shelling on April 20, two private houses and an outbuilding burned in Gulyaypole. Rescuers extinguished the fire.
Four attacks by the russian army were repelled by the Defense Forces in the Orikhiv sector near Staromayorske in Donetsk Oblastand Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast yesterday.
Odesa Oblast
Nearly 50 houses were damaged and eight people were injured, two of them children, as a result of a missile strike by the russian army on Odesa on the afternoon of April 20.
Today, the russian army fired ballistic missiles at Odesa Oblast, injuring 4 people. The target was a transport and logistics facility of the port infrastructure. The blast wave and rocket fragments damaged private houses.
Kherson Oblast
Yesterday, the russian military shelled 21 settlements in the Kherson Oblast and launched a missile attack on the Chornobayivkacommunity. An educational institution, a catering facility, an agricultural enterprise, a gas pipeline and 12 private houses were damaged. One person was wounded. A gas pipeline in Stanislav was damaged by russian shelling, leaving some residents without gas supply.
Yesterday, two police officers were injured in Beryslav, Kherson Oblast, as a result of an attack from two russian FPV drones. They were diagnosed with light injuries.
In the morning, the Korabelny district of Kherson was attacked by the russian army. Windows were smashed in houses, balconies were damaged, and cars were burnt. Two people were wounded.
Also today, the russian army dropped two guided aerial bombs on Kozatske in Kherson Oblast. The entrance of a five-story building was destroyed, and a fire broke out in another residential building. No one was killed or injured.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
In the evening and at night, russian troops attacked Nikopol Raion. They fired three times with heavy artillery and used two attack drones of different modifications. A five-story building, five private houses, and two outbuildings were damaged. No one was killed or injured.
A 47-year-old woman was wounded in the shelling of Nikopol on April 21. Her condition is moderate.
Soldiers in Dnipro have been fitted with sports prostheses that will allow them to run, play basketball, engage in other activities and even use them at the front. The participants of the U+ System rehabilitation project organize this. Previously, similar events were held only in Kyiv, and this is the first time in Dnipro. The city received 50 applications from the military.
Fifty children from the Dnipro region went on vacation to a recreation center in Kyiv Oblast. Another 11 schoolchildren have recently traveled to Zakarpattia.
Poltava Oblast
In Poltava, people are trained for new professions for free. In particular, seamstress, electrician, and solar panel installer. This is being done as part of the Ukrainian-German project “Fast Track to Employment”.

Chernivtsi Oblast
A shelter for internally displaced persons was built in Chernivtsi for more than 800 thousand euros. At first, large families will be accommodated there. In total, the shelter can accommodate more than 50 people.
