Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

On the night of June 1, the russians again attacked Kyiv. All detected air targets were destroyed by air defense forces and means. During a missile strike in the Desnyanskyi district, three people were killed near the closed shelter of the polyclinic. The KCGA is conducting searches. The residential building was damaged, its windows and doors were broken. The balcony was blown off by the blast wave. Debris was recorded falling on a children’s polyclinic, two schools were damaged – windows and doors were broken, a police station, windows in a kindergarten were blown out by the blast wave.

In the Dniprovskyi district of the capital, 2 victims were injured. In one of the buildings of the residential sector, as a result of falling burning debris, heavy smoke arose, the windows were blown out by the blast wave. It was also recorded that debris fell on the administrative building, damaged parked cars, and several vehicles burned.

In Darnytskyi district, in one of the buildings of the residential sector, the windows were blown out by the blast wave due to falling debris. Debris was recorded falling in the yards of houses, on the roadway and on a non-residential building.

Kyiv Oblast 

In the Kyiv Oblast, as a result of falling rocket debris, a grassy floor caught fire in one of the communities. The fire was extinguished.

An unexploded combat unit of «Shahed» was found in the forest of one of the raions of Kyiv Oblast. Law enforcement officers inspected the scene and called the State Emergency Service to remove and neutralize the find.

Chernihiv Oblast

On May 31, russian troops shelled the border of the Chernihiv Oblast. The border villages of the Semenivka community came under fire. No information was received about losses among the local population or damage to civil infrastructure.

On the night of June 1, the russians shelled the border village of Prybyn in the Koryukivka community in the Chernihiv Oblast. As a result, a private house and power line were damaged. There are no victims among the civilian population.

In the morning, the russians shelled the area of ​​the village of Tymonovychi in the Semenivka community with tube artillery. In the afternoon, the villages of the Semenivka and Horodnya communities came under enemy fire. No information was received about losses among the local population or damage to civil infrastructure.

In the Chernihiv Oblast, during the full-scale war, 22 children were killed, 59 were injured, and 12 were left without their parents as a result of hostilities. And in Chernihiv, 10 children, whose parents died during the russian-Ukrainian war, received name memorial pendants «Father’s Heart». The commemorative silver pendant has the shape of a heart, it depicts a wreath with a drop of blood. The name and surname of the fallen soldier are engraved on the reverse side of the pendant. A name certificate is attached to it.

American actor Misha Collins came to the territory of Chernihiv Oblast, where demining works are taking place. The positions of russian troops were located two kilometers from this place. The actor will spend the day with the military of the State Special Transport Service and see the detonation of mines and ammunition left by the russian army.

Another 11 streets and two lanes were renamed in Chernihiv. Such a decision was made on June 1 at a session of the Chernihiv City Council.

Sumy Oblast 

During the day of May 31, the russians shelled the communities of Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Krasnopillia, Seredyna-Buda, Shalygyne, and Yunakivka. Krasnopillia was shelled from self-propelled guns. As a result of one of the shellings, the windows of a two-story building were broken, the warehouses of the farm and 5 civilian vehicles were damaged. As a result of another shelling, the water tower was damaged.

On the night of June 1, the russian army shelled the territory of the Krasnopillia community with self-propelled guns. Three shots were recorded. According to preliminary information, no people were injured, and there was no damage to civil infrastructure.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast 

No strikes were recorded in the city of Kharkiv last day. The enemy continued shelling the front-line and border settlements of the Kharkiv, Chuguyiv and Kupyansk raions.

Throughout the day, the russians massively shelled Vovchansk, Chuguyiv raion. In the city, private residential buildings, civil industry enterprises, a library, and trade pavilions of the market were damaged. There were fires. A 60-year-old man died, a woman was injured and hospitalized.

In the evening, the russians again hit the village of Kivsharivka in the Kupyansk raion with a guided aerial bomb. A hit was recorded on the territory of the local stadium. The fence was damaged and windows in neighboring houses were blown out by the blast wave. No casualties.

Yesterday, between the villages of Chornoglazivka and Kalynove of the Bogoduhiv raion, a tractor blew up during field work on a mine. No one was hurt.

Demining continues. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service inspected 9.3 hectares of territory and neutralized 84 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, the russian army shelled 14 localities in Donetsk Oblast. The shelling damaged 29 civilian objects.

On May 31, russians killed 2 residents of Donetsk Oblast – in Udachne and Chasovyi Yar. Another 5 people were injured in the oblast.

During the full-scale war, russian weapons killed 1539 civilians in Donetsk Oblast, and another 3620 people were injured. The number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the evening of May 31, russian military shelled Sloviansk. The enemy dropped a FAB-250 bomb on the city, damaging 7 houses in the Cherevkivka neighborhood. 

In the Horlivka sector, 1 person was wounded and 3 houses were damaged in Kostyantynivka. Another house was damaged in Ivanopillia.

In the Lysychansk sector, 2 houses and an administrative building in Siversk were damaged, and 3 houses in Kryvyi Rih of the Lyman community were destroyed.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the east of Pokrovsk Raion, a house, and power lines were damaged in the Ocheretyne community.

Avdiivka came under artillery and tank shelling, with no casualties.

During the day, the enemy fired on the outskirts of Kurakhivka and Gostre, as well as the town of Kurakhove. Two private houses and outbuildings and power grids were damaged, leaving 150 households without electricity.

On May 31, russians killed 2 residents of Pokrovsk Raion – in Udachne and Lastochkyne.

Six drinking water tanks were installed by benefactors for the residents of Petrivka, Novooleksiyivka, Hryhorivka, Yurivka, and Pustynka of the Selydivska community. People can collect water for free.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

The russian army in the Bakhmut sector has switched to defense but has started firing more heavy weapons, mainly artillery, and mortars.

Today, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suspended their offensive in the Bakhmut sector. According to the Army Commander, Ukrainian troops are performing other important tasks to prevent the enemy from seizing the initiative.

About 500 people out of 70,000 residents remain in Bakhmut.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

As of 07:30 a.m. on June 1, no enemy attacks were recorded in Mykolaiv Oblast.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, on May 31, russian troops launched 78 attacks on 20 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

The russians are using the factories of the temporarily seized Enerhodar for military purposes. Thus, the plant of “Non-standard equipment and pipelines” is used to repair military equipment, while the plant of “Special constructions” and “House building plant” were turned into a warehouse of military equipment, weapons, and ammunition by the occupiers.

Odesa Oblast

During his working visit to Odesa Oblast, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a special meeting on the security and social situation in the oblast. He also visited servicemen wounded in the fighting in the hospital and presented state awards to military and medical personnel.

One substation in Odesa suffered an emergency shutdown. As a result, 9800 customers living in the Cheremushki neighborhood were temporarily left without electricity. Power engineers are investigating the cause of the accident. 

Kherson Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, the russian army fired 61 times at Kherson Oblast, and 11 times at Kherson. The shells hit residential areas. One person was killed and five people, including a child, were wounded.

Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion, 34 children have been killed in Kherson Oblast, and 85 have been injured of varying severity. In 2023, six children died and 23 were injured as a result of shelling of the right-bank part of the oblast.

This morning, russian troops attacked the Dniprovsky district of Kherson. A house was destroyed and cars were damaged. Two men were wounded.

At around 11:00, russian aviation dropped three guided bombs on Kozatske and one on Nova Kakhovka. One of the bombs fell in the area of Novokakhovka school No. 3. Three private houses were destroyed. So far, one person has been reported dead.

The russian army attacked the Beryslav Bakery from the air. It dropped two guided aerial bombs on the town. They also fired mortars. Three people were injured. 

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the afternoon of June 1, russian troops attacked Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Two men aged 50 and 55 were injured. They were hospitalized in moderate condition. A five-story building, a private house, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged.

A new small group home for orphans and children deprived of parental care was opened in Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. In total, the institution can accept 10 pupils. Now seven children live in it.

Cherkasy Oblast 

The flag signed by defenders from Cherkasy was sold at an auction for a record $4,000. The auction was organized to cover the needs of one of the battalions of the 118th separate Territorial Defense Units brigade.

In one of the sanatoriums of Zakarpattia Oblast, 170 children of privileged categories from Cherkasy Oblast rested for 14 days. This year, the Department of Social Policy of Cherkasy City Council purchased 1,982 vouchers for Cherkasy children. Today, another 200 children went on holiday to the Carpathians from Cherkasy.

Kirovohrad Oblast 

47 evacuated children from boarding schools and orphanages were returned to Kirovohrad Oblast. The children were in the Republic of Poland for more than a year. Now they need placement in family forms of upbringing, and it was impossible to organize this while staying abroad.

In Kropyvnytskyi, an action was held for the displaced. They could choose clothes for graduation. The action was organized for children who, because of the war, did not study in their native schools, and who, because of the martial law, will not have their graduation. The remaining clothes will be distributed to those who need them.

Western Oblasts 

Rivne Oblast 

The police received an anonymous report about the mining of the Rivne Oblast State Administration. No explosive objects were found during the inspection.

Arseniy, a first-grader, gave all his savings, which he had collected for a phone, to the AFofU. The boy gave the money to volunteers from the “Veterans’ Space” organization to buy cars for soldiers on the front lines.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast 

Employees of the SSU of Khmelnytskyi region announced that a resident of Kamianets-Podilskyi was suspected of collaboration. According to the materials of the pre-trial investigation, the woman denied russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and called for support from the russian military.

Chernivtsi Oblast 

At once, four memorial plaques to the fallen defenders of Ukraine were opened in Novoselytsa. Memorial signs in honor of Oleksiy Arbuzov, Oleh Deda, Viktor Hryhorchuk and Gennady Nuka were placed on the front wall of Lyceum No. 3. The boys were graduates of this educational institution.

On June 1, the 107th separate brigade of the Bukovyna Territorial Defense Units celebrated its 5th anniversary since its creation.

On the territory of the Chernivtsi Oblast, from 00:00 on June 2, 2023, the light masking regime was canceled. The relevant decision was taken at the regular meeting of the Defense Council of the Chernivtsi Oblast.

In Bukovyna, the places of compact residence of forced migrants were provided with washing machines and dryers. Charitable assistance was received within the framework of cooperation between the Department of Social Protection of the Population of Chernivtsi State Administration and the International Organization for Migration.

On the Day of Children’s Protection, the Ivan Mykolaichuk Film Center in Chernivtsi opened an exhibition of the stories of more than twenty children who died as a result of russian aggression. Its initiator is the “Memorial” memory platform.

A holiday was held for internally displaced children and children from families in difficult life circumstances. It took place with the support of the “United to Win” and “Give a Child Life” charitable foundations. The organizers prepared gifts and an entertainment program with animators for the participants.

Zakarpattia Oblast 

The activity of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate was banned in Zakarpattia. This decision was supported by deputies of the Zakarpattia Oblast Council. They also added recommendations for law enforcement officers on how to quickly and effectively respond to the facts of anti-Ukrainian propaganda by religious organizations associated with russia.

A charity festival-fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was organized by Uzhhorod educators for the Day of Children’s Protection. Here you could buy pastries and sweets, and hold master classes. All proceeds will be directed to the needs of Ukrainian defenders.

In Uzhhorod, they are experimenting with printing eco-furniture. Vasyl Gonar, an engineer from Uzhhorod, uses a 3D printer to make furniture, outdoor flower pots, interior partitions, and other items from plastic bottles. The plans are to start the production of the first house printed on a 3D printer in Zakarpattia.
