Northern oblasts

Kyiv

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliн Klitschko said that Kyiv would help the affected cities, where a critical situation has developed after the russian occupiers blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, which caused the release of water from the Kakhovka reservoir. Vitaliн Klitschko spoke with the Secretary of the Kherson City Council Halyna Luhova. They agreed that the capital would host and provide rehabilitation in children’s camps for 100 children from Kherson.

A new floral arrangement dedicated to the Kherson Oblast has appeared in the Holosiivskyi district. In particular, utility workers assembled and created a structure with flowers in the shape of a watermelon. You can see the flowerbed on Lybidska Square.

Kyiv Oblast

At night, on June 6, the enemy launched a massive missile attack on the Kyiv Oblast. The attack damaged a polyclinic in one of the raions of the oblast. Missile fragments were also found near the maternity hospital. Emergency services evacuated patients and staff from the crash site. There were no casualties.

In another raion of the oblast, a hostel and more than 20 cars were damaged as a result of an enemy strike.

A delegation from the Czech Republic visited Irpin. It was headed by Dominik Hasek, a famous Czech hockey player, Olympic champion, two-time Stanley Cup winner. The guests were greeted by Dmytro Nehresha, manager of the executive committee of the Irpin City Council. He showed the visitors the most destroyed residential complex in Irpin, the Irpinski Lypky residential complex.

Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, Special Envoy of Pope Francis, visited Bucha in the Kyiv Oblast. During the trip to the oblast, he was accompanied by the head of the Kyiv OMA Ruslan Kravchenko and representatives of local authorities. In particular, the delegation visited the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called in Bucha. This is the place where 119 civilians were buried during the occupation.

Zhytomyr Oblast

Five million hryvnias have been allocated from the city budget to improve the condition of shelters in condominiums and management companies in Zhytomyr. The money will be provided after the relevant application is submitted.

Zhytomyr is going to allocate land for family-type orphanages to be built in the oblast with the support of the Government of Estonia.

Chernihiv Oblast

Yesterday, on June 5, in the Chernihiv Oblast, the russian military shelled villages in the Chernihiv border areas with tube artillery and a grenade launcher. Border guards recorded 15 explosions in each case near the villages of Zarichchia and Oleksandrivka of the Semenivka community, probably from tube artillery.

On the morning of June 6, russian troops shelled the border areas of the Semenivka community. The military recorded hits, probably from an 82-mm mortar, in the area of the village of Karpovychi, seven hits in the area of the village of Medvedivka, and 11 hits, probably also from tube artillery, in the village of Tymonovychi.

Sumy Oblast

On June 5, 8 communities in the Sumy Oblast were shelled from the territory of russia. Power grids and an administrative building were damaged. 94 explosions were recorded.

At night and in the morning, russian troops shelled the Bilopillia, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda communities of the Sumy Oblast. There is no information about the injured.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Last night, the enemy launched an attack with S-300 missiles on the Slobidskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kharkiv. They hit the parking lot near the airport and the road surface in the city center. Windows were smashed in the nearby houses, the water supply pipeline and private cars were damaged. There were no casualties.

In the village of Zapadne, Kupiansk Raion, the ammonia pipeline was depressurized as a result of hostile shelling. At the time of the strike, the ammonia pipeline was blocked, with technological residues in the pipe. The hit triggered the emergency shut-off valves, and the ammonia leak occurred in a section 2.3 km long. There is no additional leakage of ammonia from the adjacent sections.

As of now, no ammonia has been detected in the air in the suburbs of Kupiansk and the nearby villages. Near Masiutivka, the concentration of ammonia does not exceed the maximum permissible level. Observations are ongoing. The National Police and the State Emergency Service are informing the local population about actions to be taken in case of exceeding the permissible norms of ammonia concentration in the air.

During the day, the enemy fired artillery, mortars and rocket launchers at settlements in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Izium raions.

In the village of Pechenihy, Chuhuiv Raion, a private house was damaged by shelling, and a 52-year-old woman was killed. A store building was damaged in the town of Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk Raion, a medical facility in the village of Kivsharivka was damaged. A 58-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were hospitalized with injuries in the urban-type settlement of Velykyi Burluk.

A 57-year-old civilian man was killed and 9 other people were wounded as a result of the shelling of Balaklia, Izium Raion, with Smerch MLRS. Six residential buildings, outbuildings and a car were damaged.

A tractor ran over an explosive device on the road near the village of Potykhonove, Kupiansk Raion. Two people were wounded.

Donetsk Oblast

On June 5, 16 settlements in the Donetsk Oblast came under fire from russian troops and 48 civilian objects were mutilated.

On June 5, russians killed one resident in New York of the Donetsk Oblast. Another six people in the Oblat were injured during the day.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,549 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,653. Currently, it is impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

In a week, the energy industry restored electricity supply to more than 80,000 families in 93 settlements of the Donetsk Oblast. Currently, 146 settlements have been cut off.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the evening, the russians launched a rocket attack on the outskirts of Kramatorsk. There are no casualties.

In the Kostiantynivka community in Mykolaivka, two people were injured, three houses were damaged. Two houses were destroyed in Ivanopillia.

In the Lysychansk direction, a house was damaged in Pereizne of the Zvanivka community. Shelling was recorded in Torske and Zarichne of the Lyman community.

A service station and a civilian car were damaged in Lyman due to an attack by drones the other day.

A former law enforcement officer from Lyman, who during the occupation of the city detained local residents and forced them to collect the bodies of the dead, faces life imprisonment.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

During the day, the russian army massively shelled Avdiivka from the Grad. Shells hit the territory of the Avdiivka Coke Plant. An anti-aircraft missile struck and shelled the old and central parts of the city. One person was injured.

In the Kurakhove community, Kurakhove, Kurakhivka and Hostre were under fire. In the Marinka one Krasnohorivka and Maksimilianivka were hit.

Bakhmut and Bakthut Raion

The enemy dropped two aerial bombs on Toretsk. Three people were wounded. Six high-rise buildings, eight administrative buildings, five commercial premises and a boiler house were damaged. Also, in the community, houses were destroyed in Pivnichne.

In New York, a civilian man was killed. Three houses and a police car were damaged due to artillery shelling by the russian army.

The Bakhmut direction remains the epicenter of hostilities. Here, the Ukrainian military went on the offensive and managed to advance to a distance of 1.6 km.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

On the afternoon of June 5, the russians launched artillery strikes on the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community in the Mykolaiv Oblast.

In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed without shelling.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, June 5, the russian military shelled 16 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

As a result of russian troops undermining the Kakhovka HPP, the water level in the Dnipro River in Zaporizhzhia significantly decreased. For example, in the village of Bilenke of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the water receded by 90 centimeters by 1:00 p.m. and continues to recede. But there is no threat to the supply of water to the population. 

As of today, there is no direct risk to the safety of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant as a result of the undermining of the Kakhovka HPP by the russians, the head of the IAEA, Raphael Grossi, said. There are alternative water sources. The main one is the cooling pond, which can supply the Zaporizhzhia NPP with water for several more months.

Kherson Oblast

At night, the russian army fought six times in the Suvorovsky and Korabelny districts of Kherson and Molodizhne. During the past day, it struck three times on Naddnipriansk and Antonivka. The islands and the left bank of the Dnipro River were also under fire. Two residents of the community were injured. Russian troops shelled Kozatske, a woman died. Kizomys was also attacked with incendiary ammunition, where a sown field caught fire, part of the crops were saved.

In the Tiahynka community, russian troops hit the boarding school building. A village in the Beryslav Raion was shelled, as a result of which a local resident died.

Russian troops blew up the Kakhovka HPP. It cannot be restored and has gone under water. There is a threat of flooding up to 80 settlements. As of 17:00, more than ten settlements and more than 260 houses were completely or partially flooded. About 16,000 people are in the critical zone on the right bank of the Kherson Oblast. Kherson residents rescue livestock from flooded farms.

Local authorities are evacuating residents from potential flood zones. As of 15:00, about 1,300 people were evacuated in the Kherson Oblast. The russian military is shelling the city with artillery, while the population is being evacuated.

Ukraine initiates a meeting of the UN Security Council due to russia’s undermining of the Kakhovska HPP. An urgent request has already been sent to the Security Council.

Odesa Oblast

A local resident was detained in Odesa. Before the start of the full-scale war, he created a magazine that spread russian narratives. He also sold the journalist’s certificates issued by his magazine through social networks.

The Odesa Oblast is preparing to receive people who will be evacuated from the Kherson Oblast. Thus, 1,100 places for internally displaced persons are ready in the Odesa Raion.

There will be no resort season in Odesa this year. The beaches remain closed, but the possibility of opening separate areas for recreation is under consideration.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of June 6, russian troops shelled the Nikopol Raion with “Grad” multiple launch rocket systems and heavy artillery. In Nikopol, 5 high-rise buildings, a children’s playground, a car, and a gas pipeline were damaged. There were no dead or injured. Also, in the sky over the Nikopol Raion, the military from the Air Command “East” shot down two russian drones, and a cruise missile – over the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

13 fighters from Kamianske, the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, were posthumously honored with state awards. Their relatives were awarded “For Courage” orders of the III degree.

The water in the Kakhovka Reservoir due to the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP is dropping rapidly – about 15 cm per hour. In Kryvyi Rih, a number of measures are being implemented to meet the needs of the city’s districts, which receive water from the Kakhovka Reservoir. In particular, this is a reduction in water consumption by industry and a decrease in pressure in water mains.

Cherkasy Oblast

The Cherkasy Oblast is preparing to receive evacuated residents from the flooded territory of the Kherson Oblast. Cherkasy rescuers also set out to eliminate the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP.

In six months, 215 people were treated in the rehabilitation complex in the Cherkasy Oblast. The facility recovers from injuries, restores fine motor skills and provides health services. Its visitors are soldiers after injuries, pensioners, and those who are improving their health after heart attacks and strokes.

Cherkasy sapper divers received oxygen cylinders. Eight metal-free cylinders for the underwater demining unit were donated by a charitable organization. Composite high-pressure cylinders are lighter than metal cylinders, so it will be easier for rescuers to carry out demining operations under water.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Fighters of the 121st Territorial Defense Brigade of the Kirovohrad Oblast performed combat missions near Bakhmut in the Donetsk Oblast. They conducted operational and tactical training of an offensive nature.

The Kirovohrad Oblast will be the first to receive internally displaced persons, who were evacuated after the Kakhovka HPP was blown up by russians. The region is ready to provide 5,400 places for IDPs from the Kherson Oblast.

Poltava Oblast

Relatives of soldiers from the Poltava Oblast received posthumous awards “For Courage” of the III degree. Oleksii Pedorich and Ivan Romanenko from the village of Harkushintsi volunteered to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale russian invasion. They served together and died on the same day, on October 2, 2022, in the east of Ukraine.

Liakhova Street in the center of Poltava was renamed in honor of Anton Hrytsai. This name was chosen by the residents of Poltava. Anton Hrytsai with the call sign “Sif” has served in “Azov” since 2014. He died in February 2015 in Shyrokyne, the Volnovakha Raion. Posthumously, he was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree.

Another religious community decided to join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. More than 320 residents of the Blahovishchenka community voted “for” at the meeting. Currently, it is planned to register a new statute and clarify the legal status of the church premises and the land plot. The former rector of the church did not come to the meeting.

Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

In the Lviv Oblast, soldiers and a nurse were exposed, who worked in various units on the territory of the Yavoriv training ground and carried out intelligence for russia. They are accused of treason under martial law.

In Lviv, you can buy a piece of stone embroidery of Nova Kakhovka. These are reduced copies of patterns from the walls of the temporarily occupied city. Proceeds from the sale of souvenirs will be used to help the rescuers of the Kherson Oblast.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

People will be evacuated to the Khmelnytskyi Oblast from flooded settlements of the Kherson Oblast. Currently, transportation of residents by buses to Kherson, then to Mykolaiv and from there to Khmelnytskyi, Odesa, Kropyvnytskyi, Kyiv and other cities is organized.
