Kyiv

Kyivans are outraged by the UN’s reaction to the russians’ blowing up of the Kakhovka HPP and the inaction of the Security Council. UN SUVs have been labeled “USELESS”.

A new mural titled “Zaporizhzhia Avenger” was unveiled near the Zhovten movie theater at 17 Yaroslavska Street. The central image of the mural is the youngest Hero of Ukraine, who shot down 7 enemy Su-25 aircraft and a cruise missile.

Kyiv Oblast

Irpin and the Polish city of Bydgoszcz will become twin cities. This was agreed upon by the mayors of Irpin and Bydgoszcz during an online meeting. At the meeting, Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn discussed the details of cooperation between the two cities with the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Bydgoszcz Krzysztof Sikora, Vice Mayor of Bydgoszcz Zbigniew Luczak, Secretary of the Bydgoszcz Powiat Leszek Czerkawski, Director of Marketing, Culture and Sports of Bydgoszcz Andrzej Kubiak, Counselor of the Bydgoszcz Powiat Piotr Kozlowski, and Rector of WSG University Marek Chamot.

In Irpin, the reconstruction of the most affected educational institution, Lyceum No. 3, continues. More than half of the major repairs have already been completed. Over the past two weeks, the work on the roof has been completed. The roof is already fully insulated and waterproofed. The insulation of the facades has been completed by 70%, the finishing putty work in the classrooms by 90%, and the heating system pipework layout by 60%. The lyceum has already begun to mount slabs, install radiators, lineе ventilation shafts, and lay tiles in the bathrooms and canteen. They have also completed the soundproofing of the assembly hall and started to mount the stage.

Chernihiv Oblast

On June 6, russian troops shelled the Snovsk and Semenivka communities. As a result of the shelling, an outbuilding, one residential house and two non-residential buildings caught fire near the village of Kostobobriv. 

On June 7, border guards recorded eight explosions from a 120-mm mortar in the area of the village of Leonivka in the Semenivka community.

Rescuers and divers from Chernihiv are going to the Kherson Oblast to deal with the consequences of russians’ undermining the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

In Chernihiv, the Oblast Universal Library named after Korolenko was renamed in honor of Sofia and Oleksandr Rusov.

Sumy Oblast

During the day, on June 6, russians shelled the Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhyne, and Velyka Pysarivka communities. Private houses were damaged in the Seredyna-Buda and Velyka Pysarivka communities, and a power line was damaged in the Bilopillia community.

On the night of June 7, russians attacked the territory of Yunakivka community in the Sumy Oblast. As a result, two people were killed and one was wounded.

At night and in the morning of June 7, the russian military attacked three communities in the Sumy Oblast: Yunakivka, Mykolaivka, and Bilopillia. 13 explosions were recorded

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy continued to shell the border and frontline settlements of the Kupiansk, Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, and Bohodukhiv raions of the oblast.

In particular, Sotnytskyi Kozachok, Veterynarne, Strilecha, Synelnykove, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Udy, Zarichne, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Masiutivka, Lyman First and other settlements were under the fire of the occupiers.

No casualties among the civilian population were recorded during the day.

Yesterday the enemy shelled the ammonia pipeline in the Kupiansk Raion again. A total of 6 hits were recorded in the area of the pumping station near the village of Masiutivka. As of now, the results of the measurements show that there is no ammonia in the air in the settlements of the Kupiansk Raion.

Mine clearance continues. Over the past day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service neutralized 78 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, the russian army shelled the Donetsk Oblast 20 times: 10 towns and villages in the oblast came under attack. A kindergarten, businesses and residential buildings were damaged.

On June 6, the russians killed 2 residents of the Donetsk Oblast: in Torske and Pivnichne.

Since the onset of the full-scale war, russian weapons have claimed the lives of 1,551 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,653. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Lysychansk sector, 1 person was killed in Torske, Lyman community. A house in Zvanivka was destroyed.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk sector, russians fired 7 times at the Kurakhove community: Kurakhove, Kurakhivka, Hostre, and Ostrivske came under shelling. Sporadic attacks were recorded in the Ocheretyne community. In the morning, Avdiivka came under missile attack.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the direction of Bakhmut, Ukrainian troops switched from defensive to offensive and in a day advanced in various areas to a distance of 200 to 1100 meters. 

Russian troops lose positions near Bakhmut, the Defense Forces, in particular, the 3rd separate assault brigade continues to move forward on the flanks.

In the Horlivka direction, one person died in Pivnichne of the Toretsk community. Five houses were damaged in the community. A high-rise building in the Chasiv Yar community and a private house in Nykyforivka of the Soledar community were damaged.

Volunteers of the charity foundation “Liuty” evacuated a seriously ill man from Chasiv Yar, who cannot walk on his own due to his illness. He was sent to relatives in Dnipro.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha direction, Shevchenko of the Komar community was under the shelling; it passed without casualties or destruction.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, June 6, residential buildings and an elevator were damaged as a result of enemy artillery shelling in the town of Ochakiv of the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

Also, yesterday, June 6, the enemy made artillery strikes on the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

On June 6, the russian military shelled 16 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. they attacked from aviation and used MLRS and artillery.

Today, a powerful explosion rang out in the temporarily captured village of Myrne in the Melitopol Raion of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, near a military unit captured by the occupiers. As a result of russian troops blowing up the Kakhovka HPP in Zaporizhzhia, the water level in the Dnipro River continues to decrease noticeably.

The Ministry of Health warns that in the next 3-5 days there will be a fish plague in the flooded areas of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts due to a sharp drop in the water level. Collecting and consuming such fish is strictly prohibited. There is a risk of botulism.

Odessa Oblast

Guardsmen of the military units of the Southern Operational Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine, using watercraft and military transport, together with the employees of the State Emergency Service, provide assistance to the Police for the civilian population of the Kherson Oblast.

In the Odesa Oblast, 4,822 places were prepared for the long-term accommodation of Kherson residents who were forced to evacuate due to the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP. Buses with evacuated Kherson residents have already arrived in Odesa.

The Municipal Environmental Safety Center, together with the “Animal SOS Odesa” and “Law of Nature” public organizations, conducted the first evacuation of homeless animals from the city of Kherson to Odesa in case of flooding. A total of approximately 60 animals were rescued, including 47 dogs and 13 cats.

People are asked not to swim in the flooded coastal areas and the Black Sea in the coming days, because agricultural chemicals, pesticides, harmful organic matter and oil products could enter the water due to the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP.

Energy experts urge the Odesa residents to reduce electricity consumption during peak hours: 07:00-11:00 and 17:00-22:00. This will help to reduce the voltage on the network during the repair work, which will continue until the beginning of the heating season.

Kherson Oblast

Over the past day, russian troops hit the de-occupied Kherson Oblast 70 times with mortars, artillery, Grad, tanks, drones and aviation. Shells hit residential quarters. One person died, one was injured.

The water level increases in the temporarily occupied Oleshky. Several streets in the city remain unflooded. The occupation authorities are not involved in evacuating the population. Also, eight more settlements were partially or completely flooded. There was no information about the dead and wounded.

Water continues to arrive in the temporarily occupied Hola Prystan. In some places, it rose to 3.5 meters. Many of the local residents spent the night on the roofs of houses. There is no evacuation by the occupation authorities.

The russian military prohibits evacuating people with their own transport, the road to Kopani has been closed. For an attempt to launch a boat, the russian military shoots them on the spot. The water keeps coming.

According to law enforcement officers, as of the morning of June 7, three people are known to be missing in the flood zone in the Kherson Oblast.

As of 10 a.m., more than 1,450 people were evacuated from the Korabel neighborhood in Kherson. Nine location points were deployed in the city. People are there, they are provided with water, food and psychological assistance. More than 1,450 people and 300 transport equipment were involved in the evacuation. 772 rescuers, 174 equipment and 33 watercraft are working on the spot.

The construction of a new hydroelectric power plant instead of the destroyed Kakhovka may cost about 1 billion dollars, and it will take at least five years to restore the dam, Ukrhydroenergo reported.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the morning of June 7, russian troops struck the Nikopol Raiont. The Myrove community was attacked from a drone. Later, heavy artillery shelled Nikopol. The consequences of the attack are being clarified. 

Overnight, the level of the Kakhovka reservoir dropped another half a meter. Since the hydroelectric power plant was blown up, it has already dropped by 2.5 meters. The Kryvyi Rih Municipal Waterworks operates normally, water is supplied to all areas of the city. However, in the Nikopol Raion, a regime of strict economy of drinking and technical water was announced. Currently, the oblast military administration is working with one of the retail chains to deliver additional volumes of drinking water to stores in the district

The Cabinet allocates funds for the construction of water pipelines for Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol due to the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric plant.

Almost 100 emergency workers and 37 units of equipment from the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast reached the Kherson Oblast. Currently, 150 police officers from the Oblast work there to help with the evacuation of local residents.

Cherkasy Oblast

Pyrotechnic calculations of the Cherkasy Oblast, which performed tasks in the de-occupied territories of the Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts, returned to the place of permanent deployment. For more than two months, sappers of the State Emergency Service demined Ukrainian land.

Cherkasy artist Tetiana Cherevan presented the “Defender of Ukraine” project in Barcelona, ​​Spain. The craftswoman created a series of portraits of women who defend Ukraine at the front. The goal is to tell the world about russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine and the role of women in protecting their country.

Kirovohrad Oblast

A coordination headquarters for assistance to the Kherson Oblast has started working in the region. All communities, where places are provided for evacuees from flooded areas, reported their readiness to receive internally displaced persons. This is about 5 thousand places.

Rescuers from the Kirovohrad Oblast went to the Kherson Oblast to help overcome the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP. In flooded areas, rescue vehicles, power stations, swamp boats, inflatable boats and motor pumps are operating.

In Kropyvnytskyi, the Museum of Arts will open a photo exhibition-installation “Fortress of the South. Mykolaiv. Kherson. De-occupied territories”. More than 100 works of photographers Serhii Kononenko and Dmytro Skorokhodov will be presented at the event. They created a chronicle of Mykolaiv’s life and struggle from the beginning of the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war. These are exclusive footage from the event locations. 

Poltava Oblast

Three soldiers were commemorated in the Poltava Oblast. In the Krasna Luka community, a memorial plaque was opened to the fallen soldier Vitalii Potapenko, who died in the Donetsk Oblast last year. Vadym Panov was considered missing for more than 4 months. In January, the family learned that he died near Bakhmut in March. His memory was commemorated in the village of Pyshnenky. Neighbors of the deceased Mykola Tsalka installed a memorial plaque on the school facade in the village of Zhorzhivka, the Shyshaky community. The fighter was a radio operator, he died near Lysychansk in 2022.

The Poltava Oblast is ready to welcome six thousand people from the Kherson Oblast and has allocated UAH 10 million for their needs.

Rescuers from Poltava joined the liquidation of the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP. 2 units of equipment have already gone to the place and 2 more are waiting for permission to be sent. Also, 6 escorts joined the rescue operation.

In the Poltava Oblast, a plaque and an image of revolutionary worker Ivan Kotlov were dismantled. They were located at the Palace of Culture and Creativity in Kremenchuk. Ivan Kotlov created red guard units and participated in the establishment of soviet power in Kharkiv.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The Khmelnytskyi Oblast is ready to resettle about 10,000 newly arrived evacuees from the Kherson Oblast. However, support is needed in the provision of food sets, individual financial aid for the purchase of non-food goods, hygiene kits, bed linen, etc. Therefore, there was an operational meeting of the authorities with more than 30 representatives of charitable and international organizations regarding the provision of assistance to the evacuated residents of the Kherson Oblast.

For the assistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the approach of Victory over the enemy, young volunteers from the Khmelnytskyi Oblast were awarded diplomas by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, a collection was announced to help residents of the Kherson Oblast. Drinking water, blankets and basic necessities are needed. Things can be brought to the “Union of Volunteers of Prykarpattia”.

Volunteers of the charity organization “House of Sirko” are asking residents of Ivano-Frankivsk to bring inflatable boats to rescue animals in the Kherson Oblast. Those who wish can also contribute with donations. In the evening of June 7, volunteers went to Kherson with humanitarian aid.

Chernivtsi Oblast 

The head of the Chernivtsi Oblast Military Administration presented state awards to the families of 12 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who died while performing combat missions.   

Oleksandr Tkachuk, a director, screenwriter and photographer from Bukovyna, and now a defender soldier, received a high award. He was awarded the Medal of the Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “For Loyal Service” of the III degree.

In the Chernivtsi Oblast, the working commission completed the inspection of all protective structures. 1347 objects are ready for use. 65 shelters turned out to be closed, 244 shelters in privately owned buildings are not ready for operation.

The SUV Nissan X-Trail, which was purchased by the enterprise company “LTE Fruit”, was handed over to a resident of the village of Serbychany, who is fighting in the Donetsk Oblast. The car was also loaded with food, hygiene products, basic necessities and medicines.

For the first time, the “Banderobike” event took place in Chernivtsi. Rock music, a rally of bikers, Cossack cuisine and many patriotic products made it possible to collect more than UAH 115,000 for the support of the Ukrainian military. The purchased buggy will be sent to the front line.

The public organization “National Congress of Ukrainians of Moldova” handed over humanitarian aid to the “Chernivtsi Oblast Hospital of War Veterans”. This is about 14 functional beds and mattresses.

Help from international philanthropists was received by the resettled people in the Sokyriany community. Sets of hygiene products and household chemicals, dishes and basic necessities were provided to them within the framework of the “CLEAR” program, which is implemented by the international organization “Global Communities”. 

The Sokyriany community received humanitarian aid from the charity organization “Humanitäre Hilfe” from the city of Korbach, Germany. Its representatives delivered a large number of desks and chairs, other school furniture and accessories to local educational institutions.

The Rukshyn community received sewing equipment. Thanks to this, a professional workshop will be set up on the basis of the local lyceum, which will become part of the network of centers of professional and creative development. High school students, local youth and internally displaced persons will be taught here.  

Zakarpattia Oblast

The Zakarpattia Oblast has prepared 2,000 places for resettled people from the flooded territories of the Kherson Oblast. If necessary, up to 10,000 temporary places are ready to be deployed in social institutions.

In Uzhgorod, the executive committee approved the Program of social support for military personnel, war veterans and persons who have special merits to the Motherland for 2023-2025. According to it, one-time financial assistance, sanatorium-resort treatment, etc. are provided for persons with disabilities due to war, military personnel and those awarded with honors.

The International Labor Organization is launching the “Start and Improve Your Business” program in the Zakarpattia Oblast, which provides free training and grant support for future entrepreneurs. They will receive practical recommendations regarding the organizational form of the business, the optimal tax group, business registration and reporting.

A strategic session of the “CREATE.KRAFT.TRAVEL” project was held in Uzhhorod for entrepreneurs. It was co-financed by the European Union and the German government. The goal is to present the work on the Action Plan for the development of entrepreneurship in Uzhgorod during the war and in the post-war period. It was about the development of the tourist business.

The concert of the art project of the Honored Academic Zakarpattia Folk Choir with talented children of the region “Starry Future of the Silver Land” was held in Uzhgorod. The creative meeting was dedicated to commemorating the children who died as a result of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
