Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

In the capital, they plan to increase the number of shelters due to underground spaces. Those, for their part, must ensure organizational and coordination work with the owners.

Kyiv Oblast

On the night of July 2, the russian army attacked the Kyiv Oblast using drones. Air defense forces found and destroyed all the targets, but the debris damaged private houses, where one man was injured.

Chernihiv Oblast

On July 1, russian troops shelled two communities in Chernihiv Oblast: Novgorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka. 17 explosions were recorded in the area of ​​the village of Karpovychi, nine explosions in the area of ​​the village of Kamianska Sloboda and 14 explosions in the area of ​​the village of Mykolaivka.

On July 2, russian troops again shelled these communities. Five explosions were recorded in the area of ​​the village of Karpovychi and one explosion in the area of ​​the village of Buchki.

Sumy Oblast

During the day, the russian military fired 25 times on the border of the Sumy Oblast. A total of 140 explosions were recorded. 9 communities of the region were under fire.

During the night and morning of July 2, the russians did not shell Sumy Oblast.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

During the past day, the enemy shelled populated areas of Bogodukhiv, Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Chuguyiv and Izyum raions with artillery and mortars and using aircraft.

In particular, Udy, Pylna, Vovchansk, Budarki, Balaklia and other settlements were under the attack of the russian invaders.

According to detailed information, a 65-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized as a result of shelling of the town of Balaklia, Izyum raiob, with cluster munitions. Doctors assess her condition as moderate.

Later, a 73-year-old woman with a shrapnel wound turned to medics and is being treated on an outpatient basis. In the city, 4 residential buildings, 1 farm building, a power line and a railway track were damaged.

In the village of Bogodarove, Izyum raion, a tractor blew up during field work on a mine. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Demining continues. Over the past day, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service inspected more than 9 hectares of territory and neutralized 66 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

In total, the russia shelled 6 cities and villages of the Donetsk Oblast, 19 civilian objects were damaged. 

On July 1, in the Donetsk Oblast, one person was killed in Avdiivka, and three others were injured by shelling of the russian army.

Currently, it is impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In the Lysychansk direction, 1 person was injured and 7 houses were damaged in Yampol of the Lyman community. Also, 1 house was damaged in Torsky.

The team of “Active Community” in Kramatorsk, together with activists from other public organizations, conducted a series of trainings aimed at reducing the risk of injury from explosive devices.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk sector, there were sporadic attacks on Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka of the Maryinka community, as well as Avdiivka and Ocheretyne.

Over the past day, the State Emergency Service evacuated two residents of Avdiivka from Ocheretyne village in Pokrovsk Raion. In total, 83 people, including 15 children, left the region over the day.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka sector, russians dropped 2 FAB-250 bombs on Toretsk: 5 high-rise buildings, a school and a rehabilitation center were damaged.

A multi-storey building and an industrial building were damaged in Chasiv Yar community.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha sector, russians fired 32 times at Vuhledar and hit Epiphany with Grad multiple rocket launchers. The enemy also attacked Blahodatne of the Velykonovosilkivka community with missiles from two helicopters.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

According to preliminary data, in the morning, on July 1, air defense forces destroyed two reconnaissance drones in Mykolaiv Oblast.

After midnight, on July 2, two Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs were destroyed by air defense forces over Mykolaiv Oblast.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, July 1, russian troops shelled 18 localities in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Two people were wounded. One more person was injured.

A headquarters has been set up in Ukraine to develop an operation to launch a mine clearance operation in the Black Sea at the earliest opportunity. NATO countries may join the demining process.

Odesa Oblast

The russian military deployed an additional missile carrier to two submarines in the Black Sea. Their total salvo is up to 16 Calibers.

President Zelenskyi took part in events for the Day of the Military and Naval Forces in Odesa and presented awards to military personnel. He also held a meeting with Navy Commander Neizhpapa, where they discussed the operational situation in the Black Sea and defense capabilities.

Kherson Oblast

During July 1, the russian army shelled Kherson Oblast 86 times. It fired 27 shells over Kherson. They targeted residential areas. Five residents of the Oblast, including three children, were injured.

At night, the russian army shelled Mylove, Beryslav raion. A 13-year-old child came under fire and was injured. She was hospitalized.

At night, the russian military shelled Kherson from aviation, and the left bank of the Dnipro from the artillery in the area of ​​the Antonivka Bridge. During the day, the Kherson city-territorial community was attacked 37 times.

The russian army shelled a residential block of Kherson. A pharmacy and a catering establishment came under fire. A 50-year-old man was injured. The russian army also targeted the Kherson high-rise building. At least four people from Kherson were injured as a result of shelling of the city by the russian army. A high-rise building was hit, fragments of projectiles damaged objects of civil infrastructure.

Kherson Oblast received 430 generators from the UN development program. The equipment was purchased at the expense of the Government of Japan. The generators will be delivered to communities in the Oblast to restore services to people affected by the flooding.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast sheltered more than 380,000 displaced persons from temporarily occupied territories and war zones. Most of them live in the Dnipro — more than 150,000.

In Pokrov, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, after almost four weeks of water shortage due to the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP, a centralized water supply is being launched.

Within five days, they plan to restore centralized water supply for all residents of the city in Nikopol, and in a week – in Pokrov. In Kryvyi Rih and Marhanets, the construction and installation of water mains is ongoing.

Cherkasy Oblast

The «Golden Cross» badge was awarded to a machine gunner from Cherkasy Oblast, Kostyantyn Roman, by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi. At present, Kostyantyn Roman continues to serve in frontline positions of the front.

On July 1, the «Festival of Charity» took place in Cherkasy. During the event, the organizers collected funds for the needs of the fourth tank brigade.

Poltava Oblast

The first rotation of Poltava doctors arrived in the Kherson Oblast. 15 doctors, 10 nurses and paramedics, in particular, and two teams of emergency medicine, are already providing assistance to the people of Kherson. Surgeons, oncology surgeons, therapists, pediatricians will work in various medical facilities during the month.

On July 2, in Poltava, on the square in front of the Oblast theater, the «Strong of Ukraine» veteran competition was organized for military personnel undergoing rehabilitation. In total, more than 100 athletes with various injuries took part in the competition. Participants competed in three sports: bench press, air bike and rowing on a simulator.

Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

Another exhibit was moved to the Lviv Museum of Totalitarian Regimes «Territory of Terror». This is the «Motherland» monument. The monument was dismantled in the village of Bryukhovychi as part of decolonization.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

The first Soviet obelisk, opened in the city back in 1922 on the day of the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the October Revolution, was demolished in the park in Kamianets-Podilskyi. The question of dismantling this object was repeatedly raised by active residents of the city. Another 19 objects on the territory of the Kamianets-Podilskyi community are to be dismantled.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Free training for entrepreneurs has started in Chernivtsi Oblast. They talk about business planning, formation of innovative projects, risk management, digital and team solutions in business creation.

Textbooks for three science subjects were printed for the 5th grade students of the New Ukrainian School. Last year, fifth-graders used electronic ones, because the money allocated for printing textbooks was directed to support the army.
