Northern oblasts
Kyiv
In Kyiv, there are almost 900 shelters in educational institutions that are separately maintained and accounted for, the Kyiv City State Administration reported. Evacuation commissions are based there, if necessary, and 451 points of invincibility work there during power outages. In order to get to a shelter or a point of invincibility in an educational institution, one must have identity documents.
Kyiv Oblast
Today, in the Vyshhorod Raion, units of the State Emergency Service were busy destroying explosive ordnance.
Chernihiv Oblast
On July 2, russian troops shelled two communities in the Chernihiv Oblast: Novhorod-Siversk and Semenivka. There were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.
Sumy Oblast
During the day of July 2, the russian military fired 16 times at the border areas of the Sumy Oblast. In total, 116 explosions were recorded. Eight communities came under fire.
At night and in the morning of July 3, the russian army shelled the border areas of the Sumy Oblast 5 times. 12 explosions were recorded in the Khotyn, Seredyna-Buda, Bilopillia, and Esman communities. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure.
In the afternoon of July 3, russians attacked the center of Sumy. An administrative building and two apartment buildings were damaged. As of 1:00 p.m., one person was killed and 16 wounded.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
In the Slobozhanske sector, the enemy launched an airstrike near Pletenivka, Chuhuiv Raion. The enemy also shelled Kozacha Lopan and Vovchansk with mortars and artillery.
In the Kupiansk sector, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On July 2, the occupiers attacked the village of Kurylivka, Kupiansk Raion. Roofs and windows of residential buildings were damaged. No one was injured or killed.
According to emergency medical personnel, no civilians were wounded in the hostilities over the day.
Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv Oblast removed and neutralized 29 pieces of explosive ordnance.
Donetsk Oblast
On July 2, the russian army shelled nine settlements in the Donetsk Oblast. They used guided aerial bombs, Grad MLRS, UAVs, and artillery.
As a result, 2 residents of the Donetsk Oblast were killed: in Pokrovsk and Novyi Komar. Three more people were wounded during the day.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into Ukraine, 1,592 people have been killed in the Donetsk Oblast, and 3,792 people have been wounded. Currently, it is impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Russian troops are advancing in the Lyman, Avdiivka, and Maryinka sectors. The number of enemy shelling attacks in the east doubled over the week: 6,457 such attacks were recorded the week before last, and 11,753 the last week.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
In the Lysychansk sector, one person was wounded and three houses were damaged in Siversk. The outskirts of the Zvanivka community were shelled with multiple rocket launchers.
In the morning, the russian military hit the shore of the water reservoir in the Kramatorsk community with a missile, causing no casualties.
The number of people killed as a result of the Russian attack on Kramatorsk on June 27 has increased to 13 people. Writer Victoria Amelina, who was seriously injured, died in the hospital. At the time of the missile strike, she was in a restaurant in the city center with a delegation of Colombian journalists and writers.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
In the evening, russians launched a missile attack on Pokrovsk, killing one person and damaging a bakery building.
In the Donetsk sector, the enemy shelled Kurakhove, damaging the building of an enterprise. Sporadic shelling attacks were registered in Avdiivka.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
Minkivka, Vasiukivka and Rozdolivka of the Soledar community are under fire in the Horlivka direction.
Defense forces have liberated nine square kilometers in the east over the past seven days. The Ukrainian army continues to push out the enemy in the direction of Bakhmut.
Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion
In the Volnovakha direction, Vuhledar was hit by 26 artillery shells, and Maksimivka was under fire by Grad MLRS.
Luhansk Oblast
During the day, the russians actively used aviation and artillery. Powerful aerial strikes were carried out on Dibrova, Bilohorivka, and Novoliubivka. Nevske is under daily shelling, including yesterday. In recent days, the enemy has attacked along the entire front line. It became active again near Novoselivske. It does not stop trying to advance in the areas of Bilohorivka and Serebrianskyi Forestry.
In order not to pay compensation and not to provide benefits to the families of the dead occupiers, the number of which is increasing every hour, the practice of using mobile crematoria is spreading in the so-called “lnpr”. One of them works almost around the clock in Kadiivka. The bodies of liquidated “people’s police” fighters are brought there.
Southern oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast
On the night of July 3, in the Mykolaiv Oblast, two UAV “Shahed-136/131” attacks were destroyed by the forces and means of air defense. During the day of July 2 one UAV “Lancet” attack was destroyed.
Yesterday, July 2, the enemy carried out artillery fire on the coast of the Kutsurub community. There are no casualties.
In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Bashtanska and Voznesensk raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
During the past day, July 2, the russian military shelled 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. So far, 33 reports of destruction have been recorded.
On July 2, three fires broke out in the Pology Raion of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast as a result of russian shelling. The roof of a residential building, a garage and a field with barley were on fire. There are no dead or injured.
At night, the russian army hit the Kushuhum community of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast with rockets three times. Shells hit the private sector and the area next to the entertainment complex. This destruction was recorded. There are no casualties or injuries.
In the direction of Berdiansk, fighters of the 36th separate brigade of marines named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilinsky destroyed a russian Ka-52 attack helicopter, known as “Alligator”.
A part of the ZNPP collaborators and staff left the temporarily occupied Energodar. However, about 5-6 thousand workers remain at the nuclear power plant. They are not allowed to leave the city.
In the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the water level in the lower bay of the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant has decreased and is 12 m 14 cm, which is 2 m 36 cm below the norm.
Odessa Oblast
In Odesa, a collaborator from Kherson was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment and 15 years of deprivation of the right to hold certain positions. The man patrolled Kherson and guarded buildings captured by the russian federation.
Vocational and technical education institutions in Odesa received 21 generators with a capacity of seven kW and ten diesel generators with a capacity of 50 kW. They will be used for uninterrupted work in the autumn-winter period.
The Charity Marathon “Weeks of Good Deeds 2023” continues in Odesa. A number of events took place in the previous seven days. They were aimed at helping the poor, refugees from war zones and citizens affected by the invasion. Also, the team of the Primorsky District Administration together with volunteers took humanitarian aid to the Kherson Oblast.
Kherson Oblast
On July 2, russian troops shelled the Kherson Oblast 85 times. 35 shells were fired in Kherson. Residential blocks, buildings of agricultural enterprises and pharmacies were hit. Six people, including a child, were injured.
During the past day, as a result of russian shelling, 12 fires broke out in the right-bank Kherson Oblast. Ten of them are in the residential quarters of Antonivka and Kherson. During the night, the rescuers worked under constant fire. The fires were extinguished.
The russian army shelled Stanislav with artillery. Three residents were injured, two were hospitalized. Private houses and farm buildings were damaged. Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings on the fact of a war crime committed by the russian military.
On July 2, in the Kherson direction, russian troops tried to restrain the advance of the Defense Forces. Airstrikes were carried out in the districts of Zmiivka, Antonivka and Kherson. They fired from artillery on Kozatskyi and Dniprovskyi.
At night, the russian army attacked Antonivka, Kherson and Inzhenerna. Artillery shelled the left bank of the Dnieper in the Antonivsky Bridge area.
During field work, a tractor driver was blown up by russian explosives in Posad-Pokrovsky. A 48-year-old man received a concussion.
The deputy head of the Rostov-na-Donu Rostov Oblast and three more servicemen of russia will be tried for torturing people in the captured detention center in Kherson. They detained and subjected to torture people with an active pro-Ukrainian position, volunteers, ATO veterans, relatives of Ukrainian law enforcement officers. So far, more than 200 people have been identified who were subjected to torture by the russian military in this torture chamber.
On the left bank of the Kherson Oblast, 12 cemeteries, a cattle burial ground, and a biothermal pit were flooded as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovska HPP. These data are contained in the internal documents of the occupation authorities. Flooding of such objects can cause epidemics.
As of July 3, the city center and the eastern part of Hola Prystan are still flooded. The water stopped at the 70 cm mark. There is no water, gas, or sewerage in high-rise buildings. People complain about the stench, because the representatives of the occupation authorities do not pump out the water.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
On the night of July 3, the air defense forces of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast shot down the Shahed-136 drone over the region. In general, during June, air defense forces destroyed more than half a hundred russian targets in the sky over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
An 86-year-old woman was injured as a result of shelling in the Nikopol raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the night of July 3. She has a mine-explosive injury and a shrapnel wound. Kirovohrad Oblast
At night, the russian army attacked the Kirovohrad Oblast with Shahed-136/131 drones. Air defense was working. There is no destruction of civil infrastructure.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine awarded the serviceman of the 121st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Kirovohrad Oblast Oleksandr with the “Golden Cross”. The soldier received the award for the successfully conducted operation to liberate the territories of the Kherson Oblast from the russian occupation.
Poltava Oblast
The posthumous order of the “Cold Yar” fighter from Poltava Oblast was presented to his wife. With the beginning of the Great War, Serhiy Havryk joined the 93rd separate mechanized brigade “Kholodny Yar”, where he served as a senior material support sergeant. After his death near Bakhmut, the warrior became a knight of the Order “For Courage”.
In Poltava, on the square in front of the regional theater, the “Strong of Ukraine” veteran competition was organized for military personnel undergoing rehabilitation. In total, more than 100 athletes with various injuries took part in the competition. Participants competed in three sports: bench press, air bike and rowing on a simulator.
A house where internally displaced persons will live is being reconstructed in the Pryshybka community of the Kremenchug district. Work began in the fall of 2022. Currently, 10 families have applied for residence.
Western Oblasts
Rivne Oblast
The Rivne NPP was visited by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny and Chief of the General Staff Serhiy Shaptala. They worked out the issue of information exchange between the military and the energy industry, as well as discussed possible scenarios with the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
On the morning of July 3, during an air alert, in Khmelnytskyi, air defense forces destroyed an attack drone of the “Shaheed” type. According to preliminary data, there were no injuries or damage.
Kamianets-Podilskyi
Repeated inspections of shelters are being carried out in the city. During the morning meeting, the mayor emphasized the personal responsibility of those appointed for the shelter.
Chernivtsi Oblast
The fallen defender of Ukraine, Oleksandr Skubich, was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree. Military Oleg Lakusta was awarded the award of the Chernivtsi Oblast Council “For services to Bukovyna”.
The Chernivtsi Oblast Military Administration held a meeting with the heads of territorial communities regarding security issues. They discussed the state of the shelters, the notification system, and generally the work in the field of civil protection of the population. During the meeting, the head of Chernivtsi OMA handed over sets of fixed radio stations to community leaders.
Another shelter for internally displaced persons was opened in Bukovyna. The 4th and 5th floors of the dormitory of the Hlybotsky Lyceum were equipped as housing for them. In total, 112 people will be able to live here.
“Trail of Shukhevych” – under this name military-patriotic competitions were held in Bukovina, dedicated to the birthday of the Ukrainian politician, public and statesman, military leader.
The all-Ukrainian initiative “Active Community” in Chernivtsi organized a tour of the municipal library named after Anatoly Dobryanskyi. 16 volunteers, including 9 immigrants, took part in the event.
Zakarpattia Oblast
From today, July 3, the mobile team of the international BF “FOUR PAWS International” became operational in Uzhhorod. Specialists will catch stray dogs every working day, sterilize them and give them vaccination against rabies. After the procedures, the animals will be released.
A charity concert of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Regional Philharmonic was held in Uzhgorod under the leadership of Honored Artist of Ukraine Viktoria Svalyavchyk-Tsanko. It managed to collect almost 13 thousand hryvnias, which were handed over to the Transcarpathian Military Support Movement.
