Northern oblasts

Kyiv

On July 3, a memorial sign in honor of the sailors of the Ukrainian Navy, who fell in the war with the russian aggressor, was unveiled in the Sailors’ Park.

Kyiv hospitals together with the State Emergency Service practiced joint actions in the event of an emergency involving the release of chemical substances. Such exercises are conducted so that Kyiv residents can be sure that their lives are in the safe hands of professionals who know what to do when help becomes vital.

Kyiv Oblast

Today, explosive ordnance disposal was carried out in the Vyshhorod Raion.

Chernihiv Oblast

On July 3, russian troops shelled four villages in the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast. The Snovsk, Novhorod-Siversk, and Semenivka communities of the oblast came under fire. As a result of shelling of the village of Buda-Vorobyivska, three people were injured.

On July 4, russian troops shelled the Novhorod-Siversk community in the border area of the Chernihiv Oblast. There were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.

Sumy Oblast

t night and in the morning of July 4, the russian military fired four times at the border areas of the Sumy Oblast. In total, 30 explosions were recorded. The Esman, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda communities were under fire. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure.

In the house damaged by an enemy drone on July 3 in Sumy, the clearance of the rubble is ongoing. There is still smoke, and rescuers continue their work. It is not yet known how many floors will have to be dismantled. Experts cannot get inside. The number of victims increased to 21, three people died. On July 4, the Sumy territorial community announced mourning for the deceased. Konotop also announced a three-day mourning period (July 4, 5, and 6) “to honor the memory of the people who died in Sumy.”

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

On the afternoon of July 4, an explosion rang out in the city of Pervomaiskyi in the Kharkiv Oblast. According to preliminary information, the shelling attack was carried out with a high-explosive projectile. In the city, the glazing of 8 high-rise buildings was damaged. Also, four cars were on fire, and one car was damaged. Currently, 31 people are known to have been injured, including 9 children.

During the day, the occupiers shelled Veterynarne and Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv Raion, Budarky in the Chuhuiv Raion, Petro-Ivanivka and Novomlynsk in the Kupiansk Raion.

In Cherneshchyna, Izium Raion, the shelling damaged the territory of a farm, without causing casualties. Residential buildings were damaged in the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv Raion.

In Izium, a 32-year-old man tripped an explosive device, sustained mine-blast injuries and was hospitalized in serious condition.

Within one day, pyrotechnic units surveyed 6.4 hectares of the Kharkiv Oblast, where they found and neutralized 85 explosive devices. The effort involved 163 specialists and 64 pieces of equipment.

Donetsk Oblast

On July 3, Russian troops fired 13 times on residential areas in ten settlements of the Donetsk Oblast. 

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into Ukraine, 1,593 people have been killed and 3,794 wounded in the Donetsk Oblast. The exact number of the dead and wounded in Volnovakha and Mariupol is impossible to establish.

In the occupied settlements of the Donetsk Oblast, the russian occupation administration announced the beginning of “de-Ukrainization and measures to supplant Ukrainian identity.”

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

One person was wounded and two houses were damaged in Predtechyne of the Kostiantynivka community. Kostiantynivka came under fire from the russian military in the morning.

In the Lysychansk sector, one person was wounded and two houses were damaged in Siversk. In the Lyman community: 1 house was damaged in Torske, 1 in Zarichne, 2 in Yampil, 1 in Kolodiazi, 1 in Yampolivka, 2 houses were destroyed and 5 damaged in Terny.

The Lyman community has created an online map of shelters that people can use during air raids. There are 92 shelters on the territory of the community.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

During the day, the territory of the Kurakhove community was shelled by the russian military. The village of Hostre came under the fire of tube artillery twice. One person was wounded and six private houses were damaged. In the evening, the outskirts of Kurakhove were shelled.

In the morning, on July 4, the russian military carried out an air-missile attack, launching seven missiles at Avdiivka simultaneously. Two hours later, they launched one more missile at the city. There is currently no information on injuries and deaths caused by these attacks.

In Pokrovsk, young mothers received help from charitable organizations. They were provided with baby food, diapers, and hygiene products.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

In the Horlivka direction, 4 houses were damaged in Toretsk, 3 in Diliivka and 1 in Druzhba.

In the Soledar community, houses were damaged in Vasyukivka and Bondarka. In the Chasiv Yar community, 4 houses were destroyed.

On July 3, russian troops dropped two aerial bombs on the residential quarters of Toretsk. Residential buildings and infrastructure objects were damaged by shelling. There are no dead or injured civilians. 

Volnovakha and Volnovakha raion

On the Volnovakha direction, the Vuhledar community is under heavy fire. Vuhledar was hit by 28 artillery shells. Novo-Ukrainka was shelled twice from “Hradiv” — 2 houses were damaged. Maksimivka also came under fire from artillery and “Hradiv”, and Bogoyavlenka was fired upon from “Hrad”. In the morning, the russians shelled Velika Novosilka — houses on two streets were damaged.

Mariupol

One of the residents of the city was able to get to the “Azovstal” enterprise destroyed by the russians and film what is happening there today. The video clearly shows that the occupiers are not doing restoration work on the territory of the Ukrainian plant. Only ruins and debris remained there.

Over the past two weeks, eight dead russian soldiers were found in different areas of Mariupol. Six of them were stabbed, and two were shot in the back of the head. A russian officer who is currently in occupied Mariupol told about this. According to the officer, the facts of the deaths are carefully concealed so as not to cause panic among the occupiers. According to the occupiers, they see that the people of Mariupol do not like them. Therefore, there is a suspicion that it was done by local residents.

Luhansk Oblast

The enemy tried to advance south of Novoselivskyi, Novovodyanyi, west of Dibrova, and northeast of Serebryansk forestry. However, due to losses, he was forced to change his plans and return to the previously occupied positions.

In Makarovo, in the Stanichno-Luhansk Territorial Community, russian servicemen set up a military hospital on the territory of a children’s health camp. Now there are more than 100 wounded soldiers of the russian. Russian military equipment and checkpoints are scattered throughout the region of the camp. Residential buildings of the local population are located in the immediate vicinity.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolayiv Oblast

Yesterday, July 3, enemy artillery shelling was recorded between the settlements of Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. There were no injuries or damage.

Also yesterday, the enemy carried out artillery fire on the settlement of the Kutsurub community. As a result, two units of agricultural machinery were damaged. There are no casualties.

At the same time, enemy shelling was recorded along the coastline of the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

This morning, July 4, the enemy launched artillery strikes on the water area of the Ochakiv community. There were no injuries or damage.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, July 3, the russian military shelled 16 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. One person was injured.

On July 3, three fires broke out in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast as a result of shelling by russian troops. 

The Ukrainian military advanced up to two kilometers in the direction of Berdyansk in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

As of July 4, the water level in the cooling pond of the Zaporizhzhya NPP has stayed the same and is 16.56 m. There is enough water to meet the plant’s needs. In the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the water level in the lower bund of the Dnipro HPP rose by 1.04 m per day, and despite the increase, the indicator is 1.32 m below the norm.

Odesa Oblast

In one of the schools of Odesa, a memorial plaque was opened in honor of the senior machine gunner of the “Azov” regiment, Artur Saveliev. The soldier died in March 2022 during the defense of Mariupol.

In Odesa, an inpatient department of complex rehabilitation for servicemen in the post-acute period has opened on the basis of a sanatorium. Four multidisciplinary teams of specialists work in the department, which includes doctors of physical and rehabilitation medicine.

Kherson Oblast

On July 3, russian troops bombarded the Kherson Oblast 68 times with mortars, artillery, Grad MLRS, drones and aircraft. 35 shells were fired in Kherson. They hit residential areas. Six people were injured.

During the past day, as a result of russian shelling, four fires broke out in Antonivka. Residential buildings and commercial buildings were on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire. 

The russian army shelled the village of Veletenske in the Kherson Oblast. They hit the school yard. The boiler house and nearby houses were damaged. It also dropped an aerial bomb on Antonivka in the morning. There are no casualties or injuries.

Today at six in the morning, the russian army struck Kherson with artillery. A man and a woman died. Data on the injured are being verified. 

During the day, the defense forces struck two sectors of the concentration of manpower of the russian army in the Kherson and Kakhovka raions. Missile and artillery units eliminated 50 russian soldiers, three large-caliber D-20 and Hyacinth type guns, three boats and three vehicles. One field supply point was also destroyed.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of July 4, the russian army attacked the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with an attack drone. Consequences are clarified. There are no dead or injured.

In Pokrov of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Water Mission, an international organization that provides water to the population as part of the “Safe Water in Ukraine” program, is starting its work. It will be possible to get water every day. It is allowed to get no more than five liters on one hand.

A teacher from Dnipro, who spoke russian during the lesson, will pay a UAH 3,400 fine for violating the language legislation. This decision was made by Taras Kremin, the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language.

Kirovohrad Oblast

In the village of Maptonosha of the Novomyrhorod community in the Novoukrainka Raion, the mother of the deceased paramedic of the medical post in the operational battalion, soldier Stanislav Yazan, was given an award for her son. The President of Ukraine awarded him the medal “For Courage” of the 3rd degree later. Stanislav Yazan died in October 2022 in the Kherson Oblast.

Military serviceman from the Pishchany Brid community of the Novoukrainka Raion Andrii Berchuk was awarded the award “For personal bravery” by the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the city of Svitlovodsk of the Oleksandriia community a veterans hub was opened. It is a location where war veterans, persons who have made special contributions to the Motherland, injured participants in hostilities, and members of their families can discuss problematic issues of social protection, receive psychological and legal assistance, and receive educational services in order to increase competitiveness in the labor market, etc.

Poltava Oblast

17 institutions of vocational education and training in 10 communities of the Oblast began to receive generators for arranging shelters and a continuous educational process. Thanks to these devices, teachers will be able to teach our children in safe conditions. The generators were purchased by the German Society for International Cooperation.

Western oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

In five months of 2023, in addition to state aid , 240,000 hryvnias have already been paid from the budget of the Kamianets-Podilskyi community to the wounded and those who were captured by military personnel from Kamianets. The children of the dead combatants received 425 thousand UAH and UAH 600 thousand were allocated for mothers of fallen heroes.

Zakarpattia Oblast

The mayor of Uzhhorod met with the head of the public organization “Partnership Germany – Ukraine/Moldova” Ulrich Wissmann. He thanked the partners for the help and support that the German people give to Ukraine.

The regional children’s hospital in Mukachevo received 45 sets of computer equipment worth over one and a half million hryvnias from the Hungarian government. This happened with the assistance of the Parliamentary State Secretary Levente Madyar, who recently visited Zakarpattia.

Uzhgorod National University will cooperate with the Southern Machine-Building Plant in Dnipro. The agreement envisages future joint activities in the training of specialists in mechanical engineering technology, software engineering, informatics, computer science, etc.

The Tree of Life psychological support group operates in Zakarpattia, whose task is to support the families of military personnel who have lost loved ones as a result of hostilities.
