Northern oblasts
Kyiv
In Kyiv, during the full-scale russian invasion, more than 400 residential buildings were destroyed and more than 170 civilians were killed, among them 7 children.
Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Industry Research Center, said that the Kyiv energy hub was the most damaged by shelling, so it is necessary to save money. Zhytomyr Oblast

Chernihiv Oblast
Yesterday, on July 8, russian troops shelled the border area communities of the Chernihiv Oblast using helicopters, artillery and mortars. In the village of Hremiach of the Novhorod-Siversk community, six explosions were recorded, probably resulting from launching unguided rocket projectiles from a helicopter.
Also, the village of Mykhalchyna Sloboda came under artillery fire. Border guards recorded six explosions.

Sumy Oblast
During the day on July 8, the russian military shelled 6 communities in the Sumy Oblast. A private house was damaged.
At night and in the morning, the Mykolaivka and Seredyna-Buda communities of the Sumy Oblast were shelled from the territory of russia.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Over the past day, in the oblast, the occupiers carried out airstrikes on the outskirts of the border villages of Mylove and Kyslivka in the Kupiansk Raion, and Veterynarne in the Kharkiv Raion. More than 15 settlements were shelled with mortars and artillery: Hraniv in the Kharkiv Raion, Khatyshche, Vovchansk, Varvarivka, and Tsehelne in the Chuhuiv Raion, as well as Fykholivka, Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, and Kamianka in the Kupiansk Raion.
In the village of Zahryzyno, coniferous litter of the Kupiansk forestry sector of the Senkivka forestry was on fire as a result of shelling. The fire was extinguished. There were no casualties or injuries.
During the day, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service surveyed 5.8 hectares of the territory of the Kharkiv Oblast, where they found and neutralized 70 explosive devices. The work involved 31 pyrotechnic crews – 158 people and 62 pieces of equipment.
Donetsk Oblast
Over the past 24 hours, the russian army attacked 12 towns and villages in the Donetsk Oblast.
On July 8, in the Donetsk Oblast, ten people were killed and 13 wounded as a result of shelling by the russian army.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
On the night of July 9, the russian occupiers attacked the residential area of Kramatorsk. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. Several high-rise buildings were damaged.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsky raion
In the Avdiyivka direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the districts of Novokalynove, Stepov, Pervomayske and Nevelske of the Donetsk Oblast. Carried out airstrikes near Avdiyivka and Severny. At the same time, the enemy fired artillery at more than 15 settlements, including Keramik, Berdychi, Avdiyivka, Pervomaiske, and Semenivka of the Donetsk Oblast.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion
In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Ivanovske, Druzhkivka, Bila Gora, and Druzhba. More than 15 settlements, including Markove, Bohdanivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske of the Donetsk Oblast, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
Luhansk Oblast
Yesterday, the occupying aircraft “worked” in the raions of Novolyubivka, Novoehorivka, Nevsky, Belogorivka, Dibrova – almost along the entire front line.
In Svatovo, Luhansk Oblast, the occupiers are forcing Ukrainian car license plates to be changed to “LPR” license plates. They are checked on highways and in garages and sent to the nearest Interdistrict registration and examination departments of the State Motor Vehicle Inspection.

Mykolayiv Oblast
Yesterday, July 8, and tonight, July 9, the enemy made artillery strikes on the water area of the Ochakiv community. There were no injuries or damage.
Also yesterday, enemy shelling was recorded on the open territory of the Kutsurub community. There are no casualties.
In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.
Zaporizhzhya Oblast
During the past day, on July 8, the russian military shelled 15 settlements in the Zaporizhzhya Oblast. There are no casualties or injuries. 24 reports of destruction of residential infrastructure were recorded. In total, the russian army struck 45 towns and villages in the Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
In Zaporizhzhya, as a result of the lowering of the water level in the Dnipro, which occurred due to the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP by the russians, you can see the remains of temporary bridge supports built in 1944.
Odesa Oblast

Cholera-like vibrio NAG 1 of the Heiberg group was found in seawater samples taken on July 4 from a point in Odesa (seaport pier No. 2) (the isolated NAG cholera-like vibrios are not the causative agent of cholera, but cause acute intestinal infections). According to the results of departmental laboratory control of Infox Vodokanal Branch of Infox LLC, drinking water complies with DSanPiN 2.2.4-171-10 “Hygienic requirements for drinking water intended for human consumption.”
As a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP and the pollution of the Black Sea, there is still a ban on swimming in the sea, catching and eating fresh sea fish, other marine aquatic biological resources, as well as fish of questionable origin.
Kherson Oblast
At night, the russian military attacked Kherson, Inzhenerne, and shelled the left bank of the River Dnipro in the area of the Antonivskyi Bridge with artillery.
In total, the russian army shelled the Kherson urban territorial community 32 times. Lesions were recorded in Antonivka, Kherson, Sadove, Zelenivka, Naddnipriansk, Inzhenerne and Soniachne. One person is injured.
The russian military fired from the temporarily occupied territory on the right bank of the Kherson Oblast. In the afternoon, the village of Tekstylnyky near Kherson was under fire, a private house and a shop were destroyed, and people were injured.
During the past day, fires broke out on 44 hectares in the Kherson Oblast as a result of russian shelling. Crop fields and ecosystems burned. Also, due to the negligence of local residents, there were fires in open areas. 96 rescuers and 21 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing fires.
Activists of the “Yellow Ribbon” movement distributed posters, ribbons, and graffiti in temporarily occupied Henichesk, Kakhovka, Ivanivka, Hornostaivka, Skadovsk, and Ahaimany.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Kirovohrad Oblast
In the Kirovohrad oblast, an FSB agent was detained, who received a hostile task to get a job at a local defense company and collect secret information about the repair of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The figurant managed to get appointed to the post of head of the farm a few weeks ago. He almost immediately started collecting intelligence for the russian federation. First of all, the agent tried to establish the exact number and types of foreign weapons that underwent maintenance at the base of the Ukrainian defense company. Counter-intelligence officers of the Security Service arrested the suspect “red-handed” when he was covertly photographing secret documents. The perpetrator faces life imprisonment.
Poltava Oblast
Doctors from the Poltava Oblast examined children in five villages of the Kherson Oblast. Every day, residents of the Kherson Oblast suffer from shelling, including children. During the week, teams of workers from medical institutions from the Poltava Oblast, together with medical workers from the Kherson Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital, made five trips to the villages of Virivka, Vysoke, Kochubeivka, Borozenske and Chkalov. The reception was conducted by a pediatrician, a surgeon, an ENT doctor, and an infectious disease doctor. Doctors examined a total of 89 children of the Kherson Oblast.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to Poltava pilot Vladyslav Horban, who died on March 6, 2022.
Defender of Mariupol Serhiy “Volyna” from Poltava returned to Ukraine.
A native of Poltava, a major of the Armed Forces and acting commander of the 36th separate marine infantry brigade, Serhiy Volynsky defended Mariupol. He and other Azovstal defenders returned from Turkey to Ukraine.
Cherkasy Oblast
On July 8, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine and awarded the Order of the Golden Star (posthumously) to fighter pilot from the Cherkasy Oblast, Major Yevgeny Lysenko.
In Cherkasy, a volunteer festival is underway in Sosnoy Bor. Residents of Cherkassy and guests of the city are invited to participate in fundraising for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Vinnytsia Oblast
In Vinnytsia, two defenders and one protectness were awarded the Order “For Courage” (posthumously). Awards were presented to the relatives of the heroes.

Volyn Oblast
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the President of Poland Andrzej Duda arrived at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Lutsk. They honored the innocent victims of Volyn.
After the meeting with the President of Poland, Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a coordination meeting on the security and social situation in Volyn. The meeting took place in the Lutsk Castle. As the President of Ukraine reported, they talked about the strengthening of the Defense Forces, the security of the northern part of the border and listened to the report of the commander of the OC “Volyn” Volodymyr Myroniuk.
Zakarpattia Oblast
