Northern oblasts

Kyiv

On the night of July 19, the enemy tried to attack the capital again. No hits were recorded, and there were no casualties.

The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, met with Bratislava Mayor Matus Vallo. They agreed on Bratislava’s further assistance, in particular, in setting up the rehabilitation center for military personnel, which Kyiv is establishing. They also discussed the future recovery of Ukraine and Kyiv.

They showed the State Emblem of Ukraine, which will replace the USSR state emblem on the shield of the Motherland monument.

Kyiv Oblast

Explosive ordnance disposal was carried out in the Obukhiv Raion today.

Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar arrives in Ukraine on an official visit. According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Mr. Varadkar visited Bucha together with Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin.

Chernihiv Oblast

At night and in the morning of July 19, russian troops shelled two communities in the Chernihiv Oblast. Villages in the Semenivka and Snovsk communities came under fire.

Sumy Oblast

During the day of July 18, the russian military shelled 5 communities in the Sumy Oblast; more than 50 explosions were recorded. Private houses were damaged in the Bilopillia community.

On the night of July 19, air defense forces shot down 4 Russian UAVs in the Sumy Oblast.

At night and in the morning of July 19, the russian army shelled 4 communities in the Sumy Oblast: Bilopillia, Seredyna-Buda, Krasnopillia, and Khotyn.

Eastern oblasts

Donetsk Oblast

On July 18, the russian military shelled 14 settlements in the Donetsk Oblast, wounding ten civilians. Residential houses, shops, a transformer, a railroad track, and a wheat field were damaged by shelling.

Since February 24, 2022, the Russians have killed 1,616 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,865 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Horlivka sector, 4 houses were damaged in Markove and 2 more in Mykolaivka of the Kostiantynivka community.

In the Lysychansk sector, a house was destroyed in Pereizne of the Zvanivka community and 5 more were damaged. In the Lyman community, a number of houses on 5 streets in Yampil were ruined.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk sector, russians launched a missile attack on Avdiivka in the morning, wounding 1 person. Two people were wounded in Maryinka community: in Krasnohorivka and Zhelanne Pershe; a field of wheat was destroyed in Zhelanne Druhe. In Kurakhivka, one person was wounded, and 4 houses were damaged.

On the afternoon of July 18, rescuers in Novohrodivka, Pokrovsk Raion, rescued a stray dog that got stuck in a fence and could not get out on its own.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

One person was wounded in the Chasiv Yar community and 3 houses were damaged. In the Soledar community, Minkivka, Vasiukivka, and Rozdolivka are under fire.

The Ukrainian defense forces dislodged the russian military from their positions near Orikhovo-Vasylivka in the Bakhmut sector and are advancing north and south of the city of Bakhmut.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha sector, 32 attacks on Vuhledar were recorded, Bohoyavlenka, Prechystivka, and Maksymivka came under Grad MLRS fire.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, on July 18, the enemy shelled the town of Ochakiv in the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.

Last night, as a result of an enemy attack on a settlement in the Kobleve community, recreational infrastructure facilities in the coastal zone were destroyed and subsequently fire broke out there. Detailed information is being clarified. Two people were injured, one of them was hospitalized.

In Mykolaiv, as well in the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night were relatively quiet.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, on July 18, the russian army bombarded cities and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast 92 times, in particular, it attacked Orihiv, Novoandriivka, Novodarivka, Preobrazhenka, and Piatykhatka with aerial bombs.

In Energodar, the russian military is creating a new threat to environmental and radiation safety at the Zaporizhzhia TPP ash dumps. For example, for a month already, city residents have been regularly observing significant smoke on the streets, caused by blowing dust from the Zaporizhzhia TPP ash dumps.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence warned that, probably, in the near future, the russian military plans to organize another provocation on the territory of the ZNPP with the use of heavy weapons.

Odesa Oblast

At night, the russian army attacked critical infrastructure and military facilities, with Odesa being the main target. The strikes of the Kh-22 and Onyx missiles were aimed at the infrastructure of the Odesa Oblast.

During the night attack, missiles hit the grain and oil terminal, damaged tanks and loading equipment, and started a fire. 

60,000 tons of grain were destroyed in the Chornomorsk port due to a night attack by the russian federation. It was supposed to be loaded on a large-tonnage ship and sent through the grain corridor 60 days ago.

In the Odesa Oblast, an industrial facility was hit, where an employee was injured. Two warehouses with tobacco and fireworks in different locations were also hit. 

As a result of combat work, several apartment buildings were damaged by an explosive wave in residential complexes of Odessa. At least six residents of Odesa, including a 9-year-old boy, sought medical help after being injured by fragments of glass and other objects. 

In the Odesa Oblast, almost three thousand people were left without electricity due to the damage caused by the missile attack.

Kherson Oblast

Over the past day, russian troops shelled the Kherson Oblast 72 times. 31 shells were fired in Kherson. They targeted residential areas. One person is injured. Shells damaged at least eight houses in Tomina Balka, as well as houses in Kozatske, Odradokamianka, and Kherson. 


Yesterday, russian troops attacked the Kherson community 23 times. At night, the Korabelny district of the city was shelled. Damage was also recorded in Antonivka, Sadove and Inzhenerne. There are no casualties or injuries.

Around two o’clock in the morning, the russian army attacked Kherson with Shahed drones. They hit the building of culture, where the humanitarian headquarters was located. A fire broke out, a lot of humanitarian aid was burnt. The two-story building was also damaged. Rescuers found an 89-year-old woman from under the rubble of her own home, her condition is satisfactory.

russian troops shelled a garden society in Ivanivka of the Darivka community in the Kherson Oblast. The injured woman was given medical assistance.

The russian occupiers are actively using the port in the temporarily captured Skadovsk in the Kherson Oblast to export grain from this year’s harvest. Grain is delivered to russian ports.

In the temporarily occupied Skadovsk, explosions were heard again, local residents reported.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

In the evening of July 18, the military destroyed a drone that was sent by russian troops to the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

In Novooleksandrivka of the Synelnykove Raion in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, memorial plaques were opened to fallen soldiers Oleksandr Martynenko, Mykhailo Bordiug, and Kostiantyn Dykun. 

Dnipro plans to launch a support program for FPV drone manufacturers. For the first stage, 20 million hryvnias were allocated from the budget. The corresponding decision was made during the session of the City Council on July 19.

More than seventy young people aged 14 to 35 attend courses in SMM, photo and video skills, and journalism in Dnipro. The training is free of charge and takes place at the Resource Center of the Youth Councils of Dnipro and the Luhansk Oblast.

Cherkasy Oblast

Almost all night and morning there was an air alarm in Cherkasy. Shakhed drones were recorded in the sky above the oblast. Aviation worked. Fortunately, there were no emergencies.

Detachments of Cherkasy sappers went to the Kharkiv Oblast Kherson oblasts. Sappers will replace their colleagues at positions. Ukrainian lands will be cleared of explosive objects of the occupiers.

A 26-year-old woman injured in a missile attack in Uman in April has died after five surgeries. All this time, doctors fought for her life after a shrapnel wound. To date, a total of 24 people, including children, have become victims of enemy fire.

Kirovohrad Oblast

The Kirovohrad Oblast was subjected to a massive missile attack. The enemy hit near Kropyvnytskyi. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or destruction of civilian buildings.

Poltava Oblast

Tonight, the enemy attacked the Poltava Oblast with drones. No hits on critical infrastructure were recorded. In advance, there were no casualties.

Two soldiers from the Poltava Oblast were posthumously awarded the “For Courage” orders. 27-year-old Volodymyr Demkiv, originally from the Mykolaiv Oblast, studied and worked in Kremenchuk. He died in battles near Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk Oblast. 42-year-old Petro Demchenko lived and worked in the village of Soloshyne, the Kremenchuk Raion. He was the driver of the rifle battalion. The soldier’s life ended in May of this year in the Donetsk Oblast. Eternal tribute to Heroes.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Just last month, the Kamianets-Podilskyi community jointly raised funds for a buggy, a car and drones for the National Guard unit, and for a car for a paramedic.

Another group of children from the war-torn areas of the Kharkiv Oblast arrived in the city for psychological rehabilitation. An entertainment and educational program was developed for them.

Chernivtsi Oblast

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi recognized ten schoolchildren from Bukovyna who are helping the army: Nadiia Yarova, Petro, Andrii and Viktoriia Vaipans from the “Starozhadivsk Gymnasium” branch of the Starozhadivsk Lyceum, Oleh Kravets from the Lomachynntsi Gymnasium, Kateryna Pailyk, Maksym Melnychuk, Mariia Ursuliak, Valeriia and Maksym Honcharovs from the Zarozhany Lyceum.

A delegation from Chernivtsi, headed by the mayor, is on an official visit to the sister city of Mannheim (Germany). The purpose of the trip is to discuss the prospects and directions of urban development, opportunities for further cooperation in the fields of culture, education, sports and health care, exchange of experience and ideas.

More than 600 streets, whose names are related to russia and the soviet past, have been renamed in the Chernivtsi Oblast over the past year.

Zakarpattia Oblast

A delegation from the Pardubice Region (Czech Republic) is on an official visit to the Zakarpattia Oblast. During the meeting, the head of the oblast council told the Czech partners about the main areas of work of the local government and presented the project of the rehabilitation center on the basis of the old maternity hospital. The Czech Republic will allocate about 60 million hryvnias for this project, including the Pardubice Region, which will provide 5 million crowns for these needs.

Povazska Bystrica (Slovak Republic) is from now on among the sister cities of Uzhhorod. The cooperation agreement was signed by the mayor of Uzhhorod and the mayor of Povazska Bystrica, Karol Yanas. This is already the 24th sister city of the administrative center of the Zakarpattia Oblast.

The Uzhhorod National University presented the international project “Expanding the possibilities of high technologies for institutions of higher education”. The idea is to develop and implement cutting-edge innovation and entrepreneurship education programs in the field of Beyond 5G technologies, government organizations, and academia, which will provide students with the opportunity to develop and launch their own startups in the Beyond 5G technology space.

The exhibition “Communism of the 20th century = rashism of the 21st century” was opened in Uzhhorod. The purpose of the exposition is to draw parallels between the crimes of the USSR and modern russia.
