Northern oblasts

Kyiv

A new mural dedicated to the fallen Ukrainian defenders will be created on the wall of a house on Anna Akhmatova Street in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.

Zhytomyr Oblast

On July 20, as a result of a night attack by the russian army Shahed drones on the Zhytomyr Oblast, 4 critical and 10 social infrastructure facilities, a large number of residential houses (their number is being specified), including outbuildings, cars, and power lines, were damaged in the Chudniv community. This was reported by the Chudniv Village Council.

Zhytomyr will transfer UAH 140 million to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which funds were planned for capital expenditures and improvement programs in the community. The local deputies voted for this at an extraordinary session of the Zhytomyr City Council. They also allocated an additional UAH 69 million for shelters in the city’s educational institutions. As of July 20, six educational institutions in the city did not have shelters.

Chernihiv Oblast

On July 21, russians launched a missile attack on one of the settlements in the Chernihiv Oblast. The building of the local house of culture was damaged. The body of a woman, an employee of this house of culture, was found under the rubble.

On July 20, russian troops shelled three border communities in the Chernihiv Oblast. The villages of Karpovychi, Hremiach, and Kliusy came under fire.

On the highway connecting the Chernihiv Oblast with the Kyiv and Sumy oblasts, the State Reconstruction Agency has begun work on the overhaul of the overpass over the railroad. Concrete structures will be defragmented, crushed and used as recyclable material when setting up construction sites or access roads for construction equipment.

Sumy Oblast

On July 20, air defense forces shot down three enemy drones over the territory of the Sumy Oblast.

On the afternoon of July 20, russians fired 32 times at the Sumy Oblast communities, namely: Nova Sloboda, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, and Khotyn. An agricultural company was damaged in the Krasnopillia community. A power line was damaged in the Velyka Pysarivka community.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Last night, as a result of hostile shelling in the village of Novoosynove, Kupiansk Raion, a 56-year-old woman sustained minor injuries, but did not require hospitalization. A private house was damaged.

Yesterday, the enemy massively shelled populated areas of the Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Izium raions.

At least 3 private houses and outbuildings were damaged as a result of shelling in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv Raion.

In Kupiansk, 7 private houses were damaged by shelling.

A 60-year-old man was killed as a result of shelling from a tank in the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv Raion. A private house and a garage were damaged.

In the village of Petrivka, Bohodukhiv Raion, an apartment building was damaged by shelling. Two civilian men, aged 69 and 52, were wounded.

In the village of Verkhniy Bairak, Izium Raion, a 48-year-old civilian man hit an unknown explosive device in his own yard. He was hospitalized in a mild condition.

Mine clearance is underway. Over the past day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service surveyed more than 9 hectares of territory and neutralized 57 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, the russian army shelled 9 towns and villages in the Donetsk Oblast.

On July 20, two people were killed and two other residents of the Donetsk Oblast were wounded as a result of shelling by the russian army.

In total, since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,619 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,869 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

At dawn, russians shelled Kostiantynivka with Grad MLRS, killing a couple sleeping in their home. A school and 20 houses were damaged.

A house in Siversk was destroyed, and 9 shelling attacks on the Lyman community were recorded. Also, one house was damaged in Predtechyne.

The Sloviansk community in the Donetsk Oblast may lose its salt lakes at the Slovkurort resort. Due to the wells abandoned in recent years, the salinity of the water, where therapeutic mud is formed, has started to decrease.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk

In the Donetsk sector, a social facility in Hirnyk was damaged in the Kurakhove community. In the middle of the night, the enemy shelled Avdiivka with cluster shells.

Another humanitarian aid shipment for the residents of the Pokrovsk community came from our partners – the Team4UA Charitable Foundation. 1,997 food packages were delivered to the residents of the Pivdennyi microdistrict. This allowed the humanitarian center to completely cover the needs of the entire microdistrict.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka direction, three houses were damaged in the Toretsk community: in Pivnichne, Zalizne, and Druzhba. In the Soledar community, three houses were destroyed in Pryvillia. Two houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community.

In the afternoon of July 21, the russian military shelled the village of Druzhba of the Toretsk community in the Donetsk Oblast with artillery, the projectile hit the yard, killing two children aged 10 and 16. A woman was also injured and taken to the hospital.

In the direction of Bakhmut, Ukrainian troops continue to storm around Bakhmut, despite the strong resistance of the russian federation. The occupiers are massively recruiting reserves.

Mariupol

Luhansk Oblast

From August 1, the occupiers will limit travel to Rubizhne. Without local registration, no one will be allowed, not even transporters. For individual needs, it is necessary to issue a pass at the occupation administration. Its validity period is one month. It is necessary to have time by July 31.

The number of checkpoints is also increasing in the Svatove Raion. There they begin to check everyone for the presence of a russian passport. If a person has Ukrainian-style documents, they are invited to a “conversation”.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, July 20, the enemy launched artillery strikes on the town of Ochakiv of the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

Also yesterday, the settlement of the Kutsurub community came under enemy artillery shelling. As a result, residential buildings were damaged. There are no casualties.

This morning, enemy artillery shelling was recorded along the coast of the city of Ochakiv. There are no casualties.

In addition, today, the enemy again struck Ochakiv with artillery. As a result, a fire broke out in the city’s social infrastructure building. The fire was quickly eliminated by the units of the State Emergency Service of the Mykolaiv Oblast. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

As a result of an attack by the russian military on an infrastructure facility in the Pology Raion of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, four employees of an agricultural enterprise were killed. Two people were injured and sent to a medical facility.

In Zaporizhzhia, sappers of the State Emergency Service defused an aerial bomb from the Second World War. A local resident noticed it on the banks of the Dnieper.

Odesa Oblast

At night, the russian army hit the grain terminals of one of the agricultural enterprises of the Odesa Oblast with missiles. Caliber-type missiles were fired over the oblast from the missile carrier, which was put on duty in the Black Sea at night. Two people were injured by glass.

Also, during a missile attack on a grain terminal in the Odesa Oblast, two rescue vehicles were destroyed.

Today, during a daytime attack, the russian army fired seven cruise missiles of different classes at an infrastructure facility in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Raion. The object is damaged. The scale of the destruction is being clarified.

In total, as a result of the attacks of the russian army in Odesa on July 17-21, 21 people were injured, 14 of them, including two children, were hospitalized. Four people are currently in medical facilities, their condition is assessed as moderate.

Kherson Oblast

During July 20, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 45 times. It fired 20 shells over Kherson. Some houses, a school in the4 Bilozerka community and an administrative building in the Beryslav district are damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

On the night of July 21, the russian military attacked Antonivka and Sadove. During the day, the territory of the Kherson community was shelled 13 times. Lesions were also recorded in Kherson and Molodizhne. There are no casualties or injuries.

During the past 24 hours, russian troops shelled four communities in the Beryslav Raion with artillery. It passed without casualties.

Russian troops shelled a school in Zolota Balka of the Kherson Oblast. At least seven shells were fired. A gym is damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

Yesterday, the russian army from aviation struck the terminal and technical complex of an agricultural enterprise in the village of Kozatske in the Kherson Oblast. russian shells hit the roof and walls of the local lyceum in Dniprovske of the Bilozerka community. Windows, doors and classrooms were broken by the blast wave, furniture was crushed.

During the day, in the de-occupied Kherson Oblast, sappers of the State Emergency Service inspected 3.59 hectares of territory, 1.408 km of power lines, five households and neutralized 37 explosive objects.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the morning of July 21, a drone piloted by the russian army was shot down over the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Kirovohrad Oblast

In Znamianka, the Kirovohrad Oblast, the region’s first modular town for internally displaced people was opened. It was equipped with 70 beds. There is heating. The kitchen, dining room, toilets and showers are located under the same roof as the residential modules. The project was implemented jointly with the government of the Czech Republic.

Poltava Oblast

A grenade thrower from the Poltava Oblast was awarded the “Defender of the Fatherland” medal. Volodymyr Nahiievych from the Khorol community currently defends Ukraine in the ranks of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar” as a grenade launcher of the 3rd Motorized Infantry Division. Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The Khmelnytskyi Oblast Military Administration, based on the decision of the Defense Council of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast, banned mass religious events in the form of marches, demonstrations, and pilgrimages by large and small groups on July 27-28 and August 19-25, 2023 in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast, on the way to the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Psycho-emotional support for children through non-formal education: for this purpose, a friendly space “SpivDiia [JointAction] for Children” was opened in Chernivtsi. Every day, creative classes using lapbooks will be held here, STEAM-experiments with honey will be organized, wax candles will be made, etc.

Zakarpattia Oblast

In Uzhhorod, the creation of a European hub for firefighting and aviation support of civil defense on the basis of the airport “Uzhhorod” was discussed. A working meeting was held with the deputy minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vasyl Teteria, and the head of the Aviation and Water Police Department of the National Police, Serhii Naumenko.

For 6 months, qualified specialists will provide support to people who need it the most. In Uzhhorod, a series of psychological, educational and legal events will be held to provide legal assistance to combatants, wounded soldiers, veterans and members of their families.
