russian occupation army, having no achievements on the battlefield, uses terror tactics against the civilian population of Ukraine. Violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of warfare, it strikes critical infrastructure, as well as residential buildings.
The enemy has once again launched missile and air strikes on populous peaceful Ukrainian cities. As a result of the massive missile strike, the infrastructure and civilians of more than 20 settlements were damaged during the current day. These are, in particular, Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Pryluky, Nizhyn, Konotop, Kharkiv, Kremenchuk, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa. Civilians died again.
During the day, the occupiers launched more than 84 rocket and air strikes. For attacks on cities and villages, the enemy used cruise, ballistic, anti-aircraft guided missiles and attack unmanned aerial vehicles. The forces and means of the Air Force, as well as the air defence of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, destroyed 56 aerial targets: 43 cruise missiles and 13 unmanned aerial vehicles. The threat of the enemy launching air and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains in the future.
At the same time, the enemy is trying to hold the temporarily captured territories, is shelling the positions of our troops, is concentrating its efforts on attempts to disrupt the active actions of the Defence Forces in certain directions, and is conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the situation remains without significant changes. The regime of the self-proclaimed president of the Republic of belarus continues to support russia’s armed aggression, provides bridgeheads for launching strikes on the territory of Ukraine and weapons. At the same time, the formation of an offensive group has not been noted, there is no threat of an attack from the territory of the Republic of belarus as of October 10.
The enemy fired in other directions:
in the Siversky direction – from mortars and barrel artillery, in the areas of Yanzhulivka, Tymonovychi, Mykhalchyna Sloboda, Virnopillya and Myropillya settlements;
in the Slobozhansky direction – from mortars, barrel and jet artillery, as well as tanks, in the areas of the settlements of Ivashki, Strilecha, Hurivka, Kamianka, Dvorichna and Stelmakhivka;
in the Kramatorsk direction – from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery, along the entire line of contact. In particular, in the area of the settlement of Bilohorivka;
in the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy shelled the areas of settlements of Siversk, Soledar, Bakhmut, Mayorsk, Kurdyumivka and New York;
in the Avdiivka direction, the districts of Pervomaiskyi, Vuhledar, Nevelskyi and Maryinka were hit by fire from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery.
The enemy did not carry out offensive actions in the Novopavlovsk and Zaporizhzhia directions. Zaliznychne, Biloghirya, Vremivka, Dorozhnyanka, Temyrivka, and Chervone came under fire.
In the South Buh direction, the enemy intensified shelling from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. During the current day, he carried out more than 93 artillery strikes, which is almost three times more than during the previous day. In addition to the positions of our troops, populated areas were also affected by fire. Nikopol, Vyshchetarasivka and Novokyivka were the most affected.
The enemy continues to suffer losses. According to detailed information, as of October 9, the battalion tactical group of the enemy from the 150th motorized rifle division, operating in the Kherson direction and consisting mainly of demobilized servicemen, has already lost more than 520 people killed.
To meet the needs of hospitals in temporarily occupied settlements, which are actively used by the invaders as hospitals, additional groups of medical workers arrive. In the children’s hospital of one of the settlements of Luhansk oblast, the russian occupiers placed their wounded, along with sick children. Among them are former prisoners, representatives of the private military campaign “Wagner”. There are rare cases when children are not treated and discharged to free up beds.
At the same time, the enemy continues to cover himself with the population of the temporarily occupied territories, as a human shield. Thus, in some educational institutions of the Yasynuvata district of the Donetsk oblast , at the same time as the educational process, servicemen of units of the russian occupation forces continue to be accommodated.
During the current day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Mayorsk, Soledar and Pervomaiske.
Along with the repulse of the enemy’s air attack, the Air Force of the Defense Forces during the current day struck 5 strikes. It has been confirmed that 3 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, as well as 2 anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy, have been destroyed.
Missile troops and artillery hit the control post, three areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment and one S-300 anti-aircraft missile system of the enemy in a day.
Northern Oblasts
Kyiv
In Kyiv, at approximately 8:15 a.m., explosions were heard in various areas of the city during an air raid warning.
Mayor Vitaly Klychko reported that the rockets hit objects in the city center — in the Shevchenkivskyi district and in the Solomyanskyi district. As a result of shelling, six people died, 50 were injured. Rescuers worked in six places in the capital, both on the right and left banks. Vitaliy Klitschko also reported that as a result of russian military shelling of critical infrastructure facilities in the capital and the Oblast, schedules of emergency power outages for consumers in Kyiv and the Kyiv Oblast are being applied.
Administrative service centers of the city of Kyiv will not work on the 10th of October due to security restrictions due to shelling in the capital. The All-center will work in enhanced mode.
Bohuslav
74,000 hryvnias for the stove for the Ukrainian military were collected at the Boguslav volunteer headquarters. According to the volunteers, funds came not only from Ukraine, but also from Germany, Norway and Israel. It is known that they bought 20 stoves and 2 rolls of film for dugouts. Most of the heating devices have already been handed over to the soldiers on the front lines.
In Bohuslav, the coordinator of “Active Community” and the team are preparing for the premiere of a documentary play. Working meetings are ongoing, at which organizational issues are discussed.
Kyivska Oblast
On the 10th of October, about 30 objects of critical and civil infrastructure were damaged in the territory of the region as a result of rocket fire from the russian side. One person died, ten were injured. 12 russian missiles were shot down over the region. In particular, 6 rockets were shot down over the Bucha territorial community in Kyiv Oblast.
Due to damage to critical infrastructure facilities, there is no electricity supply in several settlements of Kyiv Oblast. But emergency services are working to repair the damage. Electricity has been turned on in Boryspil, in Irpin at this moment power outages are possible. Emergency services on the ground, restoration work has started and will be done as quickly as possible
Educational institutions in the region will work remotely from the 10 till 14 of October.
Zhytomyr Oblast
The enemy struck the energy infrastructure of Zhytomyr Oblast. The light went out in Zhytomyr after the morning explosions. One of the rockets flying at the city was shot down by air defense. Electric transport does not work in the city and there are interruptions with mobile communication and the Internet. The regional government urges not to panic and reports on the partial restoration of power supply. Some consumers have already been transferred to backup power sources. Work on liquidation of the consequences continues. Water supply has been restored almost throughout Zhytomyr.
On the morning of the 10th of October, during rocket attacks, the building of one of the Zhytomyr schools was damaged by an explosive wave. After the strike, the teachers took it upon themselves to eliminate the consequences.
Yuliya Kurenkova and Yuriy Bilousov, a couple from Zhytomyr, are dog breeders. During the last five months of the full-scale invasion, they trained and handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine eight dogs to search for explosive devices.
Chernihiv Oblast
On the morning of the 10th of October, russian troops shelled the area of the village of Tymonovychi, Semenivka community. From 08:05 to 08:20, nine rounds were recorded, probably from a 120 mm mortar.
Later, from 08:45 to 09:20, 15 rounds were recorded, previously from an 82 mm mortar. There are no losses among personnel and equipment.
Partial power outages have begun in Chernihiv Oblast, which will last for a certain period of time. Vyacheslav Chaus, head of Oblast Military Administration, said this in his video message. He asked representatives of local self-government and communities of the region to limit the use of electricity in the evening, in particular, not to turn on street lighting and city lights.
Sumy Oblast
In Sumy and Okhtyrka, on the morning of the 10th of October, electricity went out during an air raid. The city also has problems with water supply.
An explosion rang out in Konotop during an air raid. Two rockets hit infrastructure objects. There are injured. It is planned to open 20 points for charging mobile phones and devices in Konotop. On the morning of the 11th of October, such points will be open from 6:30 to 9:00. If necessary, the number of such points will be increased, Konotop city mayor Artem Semenikhin said.
Starlink internet points will also be deployed in the city from the 11 of October.
All educational institutions of the Sumy Oblast have been transferred to the remote working mode until the 16 of October. This applies to kindergartens, institutions of general education and higher education institutions.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
At night, one person died as a result of shelling and a fire in the administration building in Kupyansk, liberated from the russian occupiers. One more person died during the day in Chuguyiv Raion.
A series of explosions rang out in Kharkiv around 09:50. Metro, trams and trolleybuses were suspended in the city. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov called the consequences of the shelling “global”.
In Chuguyiv, Pervomaiskyi, Novaya Vodolaz and other settlements of the Kharkiv Oblast, electricity appeared after the russian missile attack on critical infrastructure in the morning. In Kharkiv, the supply was partially restored.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” changed the routes of five trains connecting to Kharkiv. On the 10 of October, the company also canceled the departure of 11 suburban trains from Kharkiv.
Donetsk Oblast
Over the weekend, pyrotechnics neutralized more than half a thousand explosive objects in the Donetsk Oblast. Cleaning of the territory of Donetsk continues. Rescuers have already surveyed 67.21 hectares of land.
On the 9 of October, the russians killed 3 civilians of Donetsk Oblast: 2 in Siversk and 1 in Slovyansk. 7 more people were injured.
It is still impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovas.
In total, since February 24, 967 civilians of Donetsk Oblast have been killed by russian missiles, and another 2,368 have been injured.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
Mass shelling of the Lyman community was recorded in the Lysychansk direction. 30 hits were in Torske, another 6 were in Zarichne. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Sloviansk was shelled by the russian occupier at night. The rocket hit a private house. It is known about four dead and two wounded. Six private houses around were damaged.
Due to the reduction of voltage in the network and the need to reduce energy consumption, the interval of trolleybuses on autonomous mode is changing.
Citizens were also urged to limit electricity consumption to reduce the load on the network.
Porrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
At night, the russians shelled areas of the front from Kurakhovo to Lyman and struck towns in the relative rear.
In the Donetsk direction, one person was injured in Kostiantynivka of the Marinka community. There were also hits in Marinka, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka, in Orlivka of the Ocheretyn community and Avdiivka.
Since July 1 of this year, the «Prykhystok» program has been operating in the Pokrovsk community, under which residents who sheltered internally displaced people can receive state compensation. Applications are considered by a commission with the participation of representatives of the social protection department and the housing and communal services department. Over the past three months, 33 residents of Pokrovsk expressed their desire to become participants in the «Prykhystok» program, who provided their own housing to 68 displaced persons.
In the Kurakhiv community of the Donetsk Oblast, the delivery of humanitarian aid was suspended due to the danger of shelling and provocations by the russian occupiers.
Bakhmut
The enemy is trying to hold the temporarily captured territories, is concentrating its efforts on attempts to disrupt the counteroffensive actions of the Defense Forces in certain directions, and continues offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy fired from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery along the entire line of contact, in particular, in the areas of the settlements of Rozdolivka, Serebrianka, Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Zaitseve, Krasna Gora, Soledar. In addition, the occupiers mined the area in the Berestovo district.
This night it was loud in the Bakhmut, Svitlodar and Soledar communities. There were no casualties, but there is destruction. In Bakhmut, four private houses, one high-rise building, an administrative building and a granary were damaged.
In Paraskoviivka of the Soledar community, two private houses were damaged.
The area near the Maiorsk station of the Svitlodar community is being constantly shelled.
Luhansk
Near Svatovo, the russian occupiers exploded railway and road bridges, and they set up a barracks in the psychiatric hospital where the patients stay.
In russian-occupied Lysychansk, about three dozen wounded russian occupiers were brought to the children’s clinical hospital.
Residents of the Lysychansk community can submit an application in the city of Dnipro for housing destroyed as a result of the war. This service is provided by the Lysychansk city center, relocated to Dnipro. The agency added that in order to register an application, it is necessary to have a passport, an identification code, and information about damaged property with you.
According to the Lysychan military administration, up to 12,000 people remained in the city.
Southern oblasts
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Tonight, the russians fired seven missiles, probably S-300, over Zaporizhzhia.
Infrastructure objects and high-voltage power grids were damaged as a result of the hits. Due to this, power cuts and interruptions in movement of electric transport were observed in the city.
One rocket hit a 5-story building in the city center, as a result of which one section of the building was completely destroyed. All necessary services are available at the scene. There may be people under the rubble. As of now, it is known about three dead and 23 wounded in Zaporozhzhia.
Missiles also hit educational institutions: one hit a kindergarten, causing significant destruction, the other hit a gymnasium. Fortunately, it did not explode.
Kherson Oblast
In the South Buh direction, the russian army shelled more than 25 settlements along the entire demarcation line.
Not far from Dudchany, the russian military deployed an attack UAV. In total, they made up to 30 UAV sorties in the direction for the purpose of aerial reconnaissance.
In Kherson, the russian military seized the office premises of the state executive service, an auditing firm, and the territory of an enterprise that wholesales wood and building materials. They also control a factory for the manufacture of electrical equipment for engines and a company for the production of dry construction mixtures. Damage is estimated at hundreds of millions of hryvnias.
200 servicemen and up to 30 units of combat equipment of the russian army arrived in the direction of the advance of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region.
The hastily formed 127th Rifle Division of the 1st Army Corps of the russian federation suffered significant losses on the front lines of the Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts. Russian soldiers complain about poor provision: old equipment, lack of food and water.
The police exposed a russian citizen who is in Kherson and through a propaganda channel justifies russian war crimes and armed aggression against Ukraine. A 19-year-old collaborator who works at the same TV channel was also exposed.
Mykolaiv Oblast
On the evening of October 9, russian troops launched a missile attack from the Black Sea area in the direction of the city of Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv Oblast. One person was injured.
Today, attacking social and critical infrastructure facilities, the russian army directed about two dozen of X-101 and X-55 Kalibr cruise missiles and four UAV, including kamikaze, towards the south. Means of anti-aircraft defense destroyed 14 cruise missiles that the russian troops fired during a day of the massive shelling.
As of October 10, there are 588 people in Mykolaiv hospitals who were injured as a result of russian shelling. A three-year-old child is among the wounded.
Odesa Oblast
In Odesa, air defense forces shot down three missiles and five kamikaze drones. The danger from the air remains, combat work continues.
The russian army has increased the number of missile carriers in the Black Sea to six, two of which are submarines. 40 Kalibr missiles are ready for the strike. In total, 11 russian ships are on combat duty, maneuvering along the Crimean coast.
In Odesa, after a five-hour alarm, queues appeared at gas stations. Currently, fuel is released without restrictions.
Central Oblasts
Dnipro Oblast
On the night of October 9-10, russian troops shelled the Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih, Synelnikovo, and Pavlograd raions with rockets, Uragans, Grads, and heavy artillery. More than 30 high-rise buildings and private houses, objects of civil infrastructure, cars, gas furnaces and electric networks were mutilated. Previously, there were no casualties or injuries. The russians directed two rockets at the Synelnykovo and Pavlograd raions. Both were destroyed by the air defense forces.
On the morning of October 10, russian troops launched a massive attack on the Dnipro. They launched 18 missiles. 5 of them were shot down by air defense equipment. The targets of the attacks were critical infrastructure facilities, residential areas and transport stops. Four people died. At least 19 people were injured, 4 of them in serious condition. Specialists of the State Emergency Service and law enforcement officers work at the sites of rocket attacks.
In Dnipro, the police opened a point for receiving appeals from victims of rocket fire.
Kropyvnytskyi Oblast
Explosions were heard in Kropyvnytskyi raion. The relevant services went to the place. A rocket hit critical infrastructure in one of the communities of Kirovohrad Oblast. Details have not yet been announced.
Oleksandria received humanitarian aid from the Czech charity organization “People in Need”. Hygiene kits, bed linen and folding beds with mattresses were delivered to the community today. The purpose is to support forcibly displaced people.
In Kropyvnytskyi, volunteers make trench candles for the Armed Forces. Youth with disabilities and women who have overcome cancer provide such assistance to the Ukrainian military. They have already handed over about a thousand products to the front. Each parcel contains drawings with wishes for the military and symbolic gifts.
Poltava Oblast
The occupiers attacked the Poltava Oblast with kamikaze drones: air defense forces shot down several air targets in the Kremenchuk raion. Power and water interruptions throughout the Oblast.
In Poltava Oblast, 4 defenders were sent on their last journey. In the battles for the territorial integrity of Ukraine and its sovereignty, Yevhen Perepelitsa from Poltava, Maksym Chernysh from Hrebinka, Andriyan Myrnyi from Zamozhny and Dmytro Havrylko from Poltava Oblast died.
In the Oblast, since the beginning of the full-scale war, 174,800 families of displaced persons have received state aid worth 3.1 billion hryvnias. Payments continue.
The Ukrainian military received 6 sanitary and technical modules, purchased with funds from the Poltava Oblast budget. They have showers, water heaters, washing and drying machines and electric convectors. One such module costs about 700 thousand hryvnias, thus more than 4 million hryvnias were allocated from the budget. It is also planned to purchase modular barracks. They will be mounted directly in the combat zone with partial camouflage in the ground.
Sports schools continue to work in Poltava Oblast, accepting new students. Both local children and youth, as well as those who have moved from the regions of hostilities, are trained. In the Oblast, 568 immigrants have been enrolled in the Youth Educational Institution.
Vinnytsia Oblast
Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk raion
Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk raion of Vinnytsia Oblast were attacked by russian missiles today. Rescue workers, doctors and police are working. There are dead and wounded, but their number is being clarified.
The Kalinivka community of the Khmilnyk raion is again in mourning. Oleksandr Babii, a resident of the community, died in heavy fighting in the Kherson Oblast.
Another tough loss for the citizens of Kozyatyn. Anatoly Zagrebelny from the village Maharynets of Kozyatyn community of Khmilnyk raion died. He was 48 years old.
Athletes from Khmilnyk won prizes at the international martial arts tournament in Poland. It took place at the highest level in the sports arena in the city of Gliwice. More than 400 participants from all over Poland competed in three cages. Athletes from the Khmelnytskyi club “Boyets” were legionnaires for the first time and played for the Warsaw SC “Sparta”. Anastasia Horodivska became the champion of the competition. Pavlo Shaforost managed to win the third place.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
Today, four russian missiles hit the territory of the Burshtyn TPP in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. In connection with this, a fire broke out at the facility, which was extinguished by 65 rescuers. Power and water supply may be cut off in the Kolomyia community.
The authorities of Ivano-Frankivsk and Oblast urged residents of the Oblast to limit electricity consumption during peak load hours – from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. To do this, they decided to reduce the number of electric vehicles on the roads, and entrepreneurs were asked to turn off the lighting of signs.
Rivne Oblast
Today, during the air alarm, the anti-aircraft defense forces were activated in the Rivne Oblast: 2 missiles were shot down in the Rivne raion; 1 drone in the Varash raion. Hits on objects during the last air alarm were not recorded.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
The enemy fired 6 rockets on the territory of Khmelnytskyi Oblast. 3 rockets were shot down by air defense forces over Volochysk, Stara Ushytsa and Polonne communities.
Three rockets hit a critical infrastructure facility in Khmelnytskyi. As a result, there was no electricity and water supply in the city. Currently, 75% of the electricity supply has already been restored. There are no injured or dead persons in the Oblast.
Zakarpattia Oblast
Taras Ripych, a soldier of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Zakarpattia Brigade from Zakarpattia Oblast, died in the war. Before retirement, he worked as a driver in the fire and rescue department of Velikiy Bereznyi village, Uzhhorod raion. Bright memory of the Hero.
