Northern oblasts

Kyiv

The Kyivvodokanal company urged residents of the capital to stock up on water, as in the event of another blackout, the city may face problems with water supply.

In case of emergency, the Kyiv City Council has allocated additional UAH 150 million hryvnias for the purchase of generators and fuel.

In the framework of the initiative of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine and the Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation MASHAV, modern medical equipment was transferred to the Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 2. In particular, these are state-of-the-art robotic rehabilitation systems, special devices for children with autism, as well as modernized devices for laboratory tests, laparoscopic operations and diagnostics.

Kyiv Oblast

In November, during a massive missile attack in the village of Plesetske, missile fragments damaged close to 20 houses. A commission of experts immediately arrived at the site and recorded the extent of damage. All people in need were provided with temporary housing. Damaged roofs were also promptly covered. Today, the installation of new windows in the damaged houses is being completed in Plesetske.

Yesterday, a training session on first aid in case of massive bleeding was held for journalists of the Kyiv Oblast. The event was organized by the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration in cooperation with the 114th territorial defense brigade of the Kyiv Oblast. The training was held at the “Gotovo” Document Service Center in Kyiv.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In Zhytomyr, they awarded a Swiss citizen who from the first days of the war organized the evacuation of children with cancer, as well as their families, with their subsequent treatment in the Swiss Confederation.

President Zelenskyy presented a new award “Golden Heart” to Ihor Kompaniyets, a volunteer from Zhytomyr. The award was instituted in December 2022 to recognize a significant contribution to the provision of volunteer assistance and the development of the volunteer movement, in particular during the full-scale war of russia against Ukraine.

A seven-year-old resident of Zhytomyr, Tymofiy Stetsiura, has been sending packages to the front line every week for two months through local volunteers. In the package, the boy puts warm clothes, sweets, medicines, and letters with the words of support written by himself. His mother helps him to collect everything he needs, and recently many residents of Zhytomyr joined her in that.

Chernihiv Oblast

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded a Chernihiv resident Oleg Bibibkov with the “Golden Heart” distinction. Oleh is a volunteer and founder of the charitable public organization ” Iskra Dobra” (Spark of Kindness).

The State Border Guard Service showed what kind of equipment is used to patrol the borders of the Chernihiv Oblast.

Sumy Oblast

Yesterday, the russian military shelled two border communities in the north of the Sumy Oblast: Znob-Novhorodske and Seredyna-Buda. The Znob-Novhorodske community was hit with mortars. Tube artillery was used to fire at the border village of the Seredyna-Buda community.

Due to the reduction of electricity consumption limits in the Sumy Oblast and the city of Sumy, in addition to the scheduled power outages, emergency outages were applied to all 10 categories of consumers. In addition, 275 subscribers in the Seredyna-Buda community were de-energized. Power lines there were damaged as a result of shelling from the territory of russia. In total, 60% of residents of the Sumy Oblast remained without electricity.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Occupiers’ shelling was recorded in the Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, Izium, and Kharkiv raions of the oblast during the day. In particular, in the settlements: Zapadne, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Pishchane, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Strilecha, Zelene, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Varvarivka, Cherniakiv, Chuhunivka, Dvorichna, and Ridkodub.

As a result of shelling, a 60-year-old man was wounded in the village of Pidlyman in the Izium Raion. He was hospitalized in serious condition at a medical institution. 

Mine clearance continues in the oblast, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service defused 312 explosive devices during the day.

Donetsk Oblast

On December 10, the russians wounded 2 civilians of the Donetsk region — in Bakhmut and Maksymilianivka.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, russian missiles have killed 1,251 civilians in the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 2,717. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk sector, one person was wounded in the village of Maksymilianivka of the Maryinka community. Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Maryinka are also under fire. The previous evening, russians shelled an enterprise in the Kurakhove community and Avdiivka. Avdiivka was also subjected to chaotic shelling throughout the night. The consequences are being clarified.

To optimize the work with IDPs, the Pokrovsk community received office equipment and furniture from benefactors. All this was transferred to the Department of Social Protection of the Population, whose employees serve this category of the residents.    

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Lysychansk sector, more than 50 hits were recorded in Torske and Zarichne of the Lyman community; the extent of the damage is being established. 

Heat supply in the houses is gradually being restored. As a result of power outages, air got into the heating systems. There are many ruptures of heating lines in the city. 

On the weekend, the team of the “Active Community” in Kramatorsk held a master class in clay modeling for young Kramatorsk residents. Such art therapy classes help them relieve emotional stress and enjoy spending time with their relatives and like-minded people.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, the enemy fired at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of more than twenty settlements. In particular, Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Vesele, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Georgiivka, Mariinka, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, Zalizne and Avdiivka (Donetsk Oblast).

In the Horlivska direction, as a result of shelling, 1 person was injured and 1 high-rise building was damaged in Bakhmut. Also, 4 private houses in the Soledar community were damaged: 3 in Rozdolivka and 1 in Paraskoviivka. Intense shelling was recorded near the settlements of Yakovlivka, Bakhmutske and on the outskirts of Soledar. The loud explosions were sounded in the Chasovyi Yar community – there were no victims there.

Mariupol

There is no heating season in Mariupol. Communal services do not work, so residents are freezing. In the city, more and more signs are appearing on houses, on which people are asking for help.

Russian military activity in and around Mariupol is increasing. During the day, an unusual number of combat rotorcraft flew over the city from the direction of Zaporizhzhia in the direction of Azovstal. A second camp for mobilized russians has been set up on the territory of the Mariupol district in the village of Yalta.

Luhansk Oblast

During December 10, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled russian attacks in the areas of Novoselivka, Andriivka, Chervonpopivka, Zhytlivka and Bilohorivka.

In order to replenish the personnel in the Severodonetsk direction, the russians intensified the measures of forced mobilization.

In particular, in Khrustalnyi, the number of patrols that check documents, hand out summonses and take men to the gathering point for the mobilized has increased. Almost everyone receives summonses in Milove. The occupiers do not take into account the age, health status and number of children among the mobilized. And in Sorokyne people have repeatedly witnessed the public beating of those who refuse to be voluntarily mobilized. They are taken to the military commissariats by force.

Southern Oblasts

Kherson Oblast

In Kherson, russian troops shelled a critical infrastructure object, which caused a fire with an area of 30 square meters. Firefighters extinguished the fire at the scene. As a result of the shelling, 3 official cars were destroyed, the hangar and 5 pieces of equipment were damaged.

Over the past day, December 10, rescuers extinguished 7 fires in the Kherson Oblast: six – in residential premises and one in transport. 4 of them arose as a result of shelling of the oblast by the russian military. 237 explosive objects were also destroyed.  

In the Kherson direction, the russian military shelled Havrylivka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Zmiivka, Beryslav, Ivanivka, Zelenivka, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Dniprovske and Kherson.

Electricity supply was restored in Kherson, which had stopped after russian shelling. Almost 90% of the city and nearby settlements have electricity now.

An electronic online map of bomb shelters was created for the residents of Kherson. The map also shows the addresses of “Points of Invincibility”, where people can warm up, recharge their gadgets and use the Internet.

1,320 food items, more than 2,000 hygiene kits and 1,276 “burzhuikas” [metal stoves for heating and cooking] were delivered by Red Cross workers to the Kherson Oblast. They also go to places where the consequences of shelling are being eliminated to help locals, evacuate people with reduced mobility, help with resettlement, organize heating and recharging points for gadgets.

Mykolaiv Oblast 

Yesterday, the enemy attacked the open territory of the settlement of Kutsurub community with multiple launch rocket systems. There were no damages or injuries.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaiske, Voznesenske and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Mykolaiv law enforcement officers continue to carry out stabilization measures in the de-occupied communities of the Snihurivka Raion. As of December 10, explosives technicians demined 47 hectares of liberated territories and removed 4,720 explosive objects.

Odesa Oblast

As of the evening of December 11, 43 boiler houses out of 140 are not working in Odesa. Energy workers are working to restore electricity to the homes of Odesa residents as soon as possible. Pumping stations are starting up again in the city. Where there is no water, it is delivered by cars. There are more than 250 locations of “Points of Invincibility” in Odesa. Only yesterday they were visited by more than 15 thousand people. All utilities are working.  

Currently, DTEK specialists are working on solving the issue of uninterrupted energy supply of water supply facilities that provide water to the residents of Zastava, Lenselyshche and Mizhlymannia.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of December 10, four people were injured due to shelling by russian troops in the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. 15 private houses, 4 outbuildings, 50 solar panels, cars, a gas pipeline, and an electrical network were mutilated in the Chervonohrihorivska community. People in three villages were left without electricity and water. In Nikopol, more than a dozen private houses and commercial buildings, as well as several administrative and office buildings, were destroyed. In the Marganets community, rescuers are inspecting the area. The details of the shelling are being clarified. 

4,800 internally displaced persons were sheltered in Ternivka of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Most of them are people from the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts. The youth center helps children who have experienced stressful events. They distract with master classes. At the workshops, soap and candles are made, gingerbread cookies and eco-bags are painted. Each class gathers up to twenty participants.

In Dnipro, a space for women and girls “Vilna” was opened. At the facility, volunteers can engage in self-development, attend career sessions and spend time in the company of like-minded people for free. The institution is financed by the Danish government.

“Points of invincibility” have been activated at metro stations in Dnipro.

In Dnipro, monuments to Alexander and Yukhym Pushkin, Gorky, Lomonosov, Chkalov, Bulyhin, Matrosov and Dubinin will be temporarily moved to the territory of the “Zoocontrol” utility company.

Dmytro Chernyshov, regional coordinator of the AUI “Active Community” in Dnipro, conducted a training for activists of the public organization “DUIT” on writing press announcements and press releases. The coordinator also told the participants about the activities of “Active Community” in Dnipro.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

From now on, residents of Khmelnytskyi who need to resolve issues regarding prisoners of war and missing persons under special circumstances will be able to receive informational, advisory and specialized support from specialists. In Vinnytsia, the regional representative office of the Coordination Headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war has started work.

Since the end of November, 1,216 people have arrived in the oblast by evacuation trains from Kherson.

The Khmelnytskyi community handed over 50 pallets of household kits and 105 water containers from the charity organization “UNICEF” to the people of Kherson, who became internally displaced persons.

Another shift of children was sent to the International Children’s Center “Artek” in Zakarpattia for rehabilitation.

Western oblasts

Rivne Oblast

The Goshcha community paid tribute to the 21-year-old sergeant Oleksandr Poliukhovych, who died in the war. He served as the senior gunner of the fire support platoon of the 2nd airmobile company of the airmobile battalion and died near Chervonopopivka of the Sievierodonetsk Raion in the Luhansk Oblast.

In the Rafalivka community, they said goodbye to defender Denys Kochetov. A 21-year-old soldier volunteered to join the ranks of the Armed Forces. During defensive operations near the village of Yakovlivka of the Donetsk region, Denys was mortally wounded by splinters from the explosion of an enemy mine.

In Dubno, they said goodbye to the fallen serviceman Yuriy Husak. A soldier died in the Bakhmut Raion of the Donetsk region while performing a combat mission.

Zakarpattia Oblast

Production of reconnaissance drones was established in Vynohradov. They allow soldiers to conduct reconnaissance along the entire front line, detect russian forces and enemy equipment, and remotely adjust artillery fire. Ukrainian-made drones are much cheaper, although they are not inferior to foreign ones in terms of their functionality. The size of such a drone is only four inches. The production was organized by the entrepreneur Ihor Dovzhenko, who came to Zacarpattia from Kyiv.

The “Christmas together with Ukraine” initiative was launched in Zakarpattia. It is being implemented with the support of Yarema foundation, public organization “Yaksrava kraina” and the head of the subcommittee on higher education of the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Yulia Hryshina. 50 children from regions where hostilities are ongoing and young residents of Zakarpattia went on a trip together to Vienna, Bratislava, Debrecen, Budapest, Prague and Warsaw, where they will perform our national carols for the Ukrainian diaspora, ambassadors, heads of state and parliaments.
