Northern oblasts

Kyiv

The bodies (remains) of 94 Ukrainian defenders were returned to the government-controlled territory.

U.S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, and NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Christopher Cavoli, arrived in Ukraine on a visit. The Pentagon chief has scheduled meetings with Ukrainian leaders to assure them that the United States will continue to support Ukraine in its fight for freedom against russian aggression, both now and in the future.

The capital’s Kyoto Park has restored green areas at the site of trenches and entrenchments that were dug for Kyiv’s defense at the start of russia’s full-scale invasion. The park was restored to its pre-war appearance by municipal workers. 

Kyiv Oblast

Today, ammunition and explosives were destroyed in the Bucha and Vyshhorod raions.

A retreat session was held for chaplains serving at the front lines. The purpose of the event is spiritual recovery, as they are with the survivors every day, listening to them and helping them to maintain their integrity and humanity. The event took place as part of the “Mental Health – Kyiv Oblast Neural Network” project.

Zhytomyr Oblast

The concept of the Memorial Complex to the Defenders of Ukraine was approved in Berdychiv. It will be made in the form of a trident. The relatives of the fallen heroes chose the option.

Chernihiv Oblast

During the day of November 19, russian troops shelled two border communities of the Chernihiv Oblast with mortars and tube artillery five times, and also launched an FPV drone. A total of 48 explosions were recorded.

16 electric bicycles with an estimated cost of more than 800 thousand hryvnias are planned to be purchased for paramedics in Snovsk, Chernihiv Oblast. The funds are provided by the international organization “Medicos del Mundo Association in Ukraine. Most of the paramedics serve several villages and the bicycles will provide access to medical care for their residents.

Sumy Oblast

On November 19, the russian army shelled 7 communities of the Sumy Oblast. 130 explosions were recorded. A 48-year-old man was killed in his house as a result of mortar shelling.

On November 20, the police received an anonymous report of a bomb threat in all schools in the Sumy Oblast. Students and teachers were evacuated, and special services worked on the spot.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Two men were wounded in Vilcha, Vovchansk Raion, as a result of the shelling of this village with MLRS. At least 18 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast were shelled by the russian federation over the day. 

On the morning of November 20, russians attacked Kindrashivka, damaging a private house, outbuildings, and a car.

On November 19, a hinged support of the pedestrian bridge collapsed in Izium due to the wind. It had been damaged earlier as a result of shelling. However, this did not affect the functioning of the bridge.  

In the Kharkiv Oblast, the staffing of the points of invincibility has been completed. Out of 930 points, 905 have already been opened, and another 25 are in reserve and ready to open in the event of extended power outages.

Donetsk Oblast

A total of 24 civilian buildings and structures were damaged by the russian army strikes over the past day: a school, houses, shops, social and critical infrastructure facilities, and power lines.

In the Donetsk Oblast, one person was reported wounded over the day, and no one was reported killed by the russian army shelling.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,775 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,319 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Ukrainian soldiers repelled 39 attacks over the day and continue to storm the Bakhmut area, the General Staff reported. The occupiers attacked 16 times in the Maryinka sector, 12 times in the Avdiivka sector, and 11 times in the Bakhmut sector.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Lysychansk direction, a house and a non-residential building were damaged in Siversk. Torske of the Lyman community was shelled twice.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

The night before, the russians launched a rocket attack on Sviatohorivka of the Dobropillia community. Nine private houses and a veterinary clinic were damaged.

In the Donetsk direction, a five-story building was damaged in Krasnohorivka. In the Mariinsky community, there are Heorhiivka and Maksymilianivka under shelling. In the Kurakhove community, Kurakhove and Hostre were fired upon. In the morning, a massive shelling of Avdiivka took place. A house was damaged.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Three houses were damaged in the Horlivka direction in the Toretsk community: two in Pivnichne and one in New York. In the Chasiv Yar community, two high-rise buildings, two commercial buildings and one industrial building were damaged. Vasiukivka and Minkivka were shelled in the Soledar community.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

On November 19, in the Mykolaiv Oblast, the russian military struck the water area of ​​Ochakiv and outside the village of Solonchaky of the Kutsurub community. People were not injured.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

16 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast were affected. 61 enemy strikes were recorded. There were four reports of the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities. Civilians were not injured.

Rainy weather prevents the use of armored vehicles in the Zaporizhia Oblast, but Ukrainian troops are still attacking russian positions with infantry units.

Odessa Oblast

In the Odesa Oblast, more than two thousand people in eight settlements remain without electricity due to bad weather.

In Odesa, from the beginning of 2023, more than 56% of new physical persons entrepreneurs were opened by women. And the share of women among directors of newly created companies in the Oblast was 32%. In total, since the beginning of this year, women in Ukraine have opened 154,000 new physical persons entrepreneurs and headed more than 10,000 new companies.

Kherson Oblast

The russian army shelled the territory of the Kherson Oblast 51 times yesterday. They hit residential quarters. Six people, including a child, were injured.

In the morning, the russian army shelled the parking lot of a private enterprise in Kherson. Two people died, three more were injured. Some cars and a house were damaged.

In the temporarily occupied Kherson Oblast, about 50 settlements have been completely or partially cut off due to bad weather or other reasons.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

An 83-year-old woman died during the shelling of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on November 20. A 53-year-old man was injured. Three private houses, two farm buildings, a car, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged.

The police received a report about the bombing of all schools in Kryvyi Rih today. Experts did not find explosive objects.

More than 15,000 homes in 120 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast remain without electricity due to massive power outages due to snowfall and gale force winds. On the morning of November 20, the power company restored electricity to more than 63,000 families in 162 settlements of the Oblast.

Cherkasy Oblast

Construction of a new shelter for displaced persons was completed in Cherkasy. Housing for about a hundred people is located in a former abandoned kindergarten. Last week, families have already started moving into new homes.

The Alley of Heroes made of plane trees was laid in Cherkasy. A total of 200 trees will grow there. They were planted by the families of the fallen defenders and caring residents of the city. Money for the project was allocated from the Ecological Fund of the city budget of Cherkassy. The alley will remind future generations of the price Ukrainians are currently paying for the freedom and independence of the state.

Kirovohrad Oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, UAH 1 million are being collected to sew sleeping bags for soldiers who are in the zone of active hostilities. The charity campaign “Warm the Ukrainian Front” was launched by the “Volunteer Information Front” public organization. The price of one is UAH 1,950.

Poltava Oblast

Relatives of the fallen defenders from the Poltava Oblast are asking to support the petitions on awarding each of them the title of Hero of Ukraine. Oleksandr Arzhanov died at the age of 21, he was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation, and from February 2022 he served in the 116th Brigade as a sniper. Another soldier, Ruslan Abdullaiev, signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2021 and served in the ranks of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. In the spring of 2022, Ruslan went missing, and later it became known about his death. 

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

Another ten communities of the Rivne Oblast received police officers. Cars and guns were handed over to them. In order to cover the entire region, the national police, the oblast government together with the territorial communities plan to create 19 more police stations, where 94 officers will work.

Lviv Oblast

In Lviv, veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war who lost their limbs in battles created the “Pokrova Lviv AMP” team. It consists of 14 players with amputations. The men train twice a week and have the goal of playing in the championship of Ukraine among players with amputated limbs and getting into the Champions League.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

In the Letychiv community of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast, a memorial plaque was opened in honor of its graduate Volodymyr Androschuk at the Suslivtsi Lyceum. He died on January 25, 2023 during an assault on the positions of the russian army near Bakhmut.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

The Spiritual Council of Kamianets-Podilskyi calls on the people of Kamianets to participate in the national minute of silence every day at 9 o’clock in the morning.

The coordinator of the AUI “Active Community” of Kamianets-Podilskyi Slavko Poliatynchuk joined the charitable cause – he provided free glasses for volunteers of the “Rozmai” center, which weaves camouflage nets and delivers humanitarian goods to the front lines.

Chernivtsi Oblast

In the village of Kyseliv, the mother of the fallen soldier Yurii Tsaryk built a mini-football field at her own expense. She did it because her son loved football from childhood and competed for oblast clubs. Last year, he died in battles in the Donetsk Oblast.

Public discussions on the renaming of almost 20 streets have begun in the Chernivtsi community. In particular, Shchepkin, Chernyshevsky and Chaikovsky streets may get new names.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

Military serviceman from Bolekhiv, the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Volodymyr Chernevyi, was awarded the Silver Cross medal from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained an anti-Ukrainian agitator who admired the “Wagnerians” and russian “Cossacks”. A supporter of the USSR distributed pro-russian content on a banned social network.

Almost UAH 6 million were collected by educational institutions of the Ivano-Frankivsk community to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three of them received as profit during the fairs.

Zakarpattia Oblast

Since the beginning of 2023, in Mukachevo, UAH 38.5 million have been allocated to the families of fallen defenders and seriously ill residents of the city. According to the Mukachevo City Council, 1,052 families received assistance.

In Uzhhorod, they checked information about the mining of several schools. Students and teachers were evacuated. The message turned out to be false.
