Northern oblasts


A four-year-old girl who was injured on November 19 during a massive shelling of Kherson was operated on at the Heart Institute in Kyiv. A fragment of a russian mine was removed from her heart. The girl’s condition is stable.

A Swedish company that creates “living” walls in cities has offered to implement such a project in Kyiv for free. In this way, they want to support the “spirit of invincibility” of Kyiv residents. 

In Kyiv, PEN Ukraine opened an exhibition “From Maidan to War” by Viktor Hurniak, a fallen photographer and soldier from Ternopil.

Kyiv Oblast

The Kyiv Oblast was included in the pilot project to introduce the institution of a veteran’s assistant in the system of transition from military service to civilian life. It provides for individual support from a mentor or mentor who works on the peer-to-peer basis.  

The second stage of the Lastivka modular town was put into operation in Irpin. It is designed for IDPs and residents of the Irpin community who lost their homes as a result of russian aggression. The town was built with the support of the Polish government. It consists of 20 two-story modular houses with 8 apartments each. In total, there are 17 modular towns in the oblast.

The Japanese will help set up a construction waste recycling company in the Kyiv Oblast. This will be a pilot project. Currently, all waste from the dismantling of destroyed facilities has been transported to 31 sites for temporary storage. The Japanese side will help with equipment for the newly established enterprise, rules of use and training abroad, and trainings to share experiences.  

A free two-day training course on first aid in emergencies will be held in Irpin, Kyiv Oblast.

Chernihiv Oblast

On November 22, russian troops bombarded the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast with FPV drones and mortars from their territory. Border guards recorded 46 explosions. Three communities were shelled.

The Chernihiv Oblast received international aid worth over 32 million hryvnias. 85 Tesla Powerwall 2.0 integrated energy storage systems will be distributed among 70 educational and medical institutions in the oblast.

Sumy Oblast

During the night and morning, the russian military carried out 6 mortar attacks on the Sumy Oblast, 17 explosions were recorded. Five communities came under fire.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past day, at least 18 settlements in the oblast were under the attack of the russian federation. As a result of the shelling, residential buildings were destroyed or damaged, as well as a kindergarten and the sewage treatment facilities.

Two large generators, which were supposed to provide power to the sewage system station in the border town of Vovchansk in case of power outages, were destroyed by russian federation shelling. The shelling did not affect the operation of the station, but there is damage. This is not the first time that russia has targeted this critical infrastructure facility.

A 61-year-old resident of Shyikivka, Borivske community, was injured as a result of shelling. The man was hospitalized with a blast injury and shrapnel injuries.

On November 22, russians carried out airstrikes on Synkivka, Podoly, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, and Stepova Novoselivka.

A new accumulation of russian equipment has been spotted in the Kupiansk sector: russia is forced to replenish its stocks as it suffers losses, and russians intensify their attacks, but no territorial losses were reported as a result of 12 assaults over the past day.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 12 attacks in the Kupiansk sector, russian federation conducted assault operations in the areas of Synkivka, northeast of Petropavlivka and Ivanivka, the General Staff says.

In the Kupiansk Raion, four families with children, who have left their places of permanent residence but are within the settlements from which minors must be evacuated, are still to be evacuated as part of the forced evacuation.

Mobile operators are preparing to provide the Kharkiv Oblast residents with communication in the event of possible blackouts and prolonged power outages. The region has prepared 933 points of invincibility.

In the second academic quarter, the number of students in the Kharkiv metro school increased by 472 children, bringing the total number of students studying in the underground classrooms to 1,860.

The Hryhorii Skovoroda Museum in the village of Skovorodynivka, Kharkiv Oblast, which was destroyed by a russian airstrike in May 2022, has announced a campaign called “301 True Friends of Skovoroda”. The team asks those who care to donate for the museum’s conservation work. The campaign was timed for the upcoming December 3, which marks the 301st anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian.

Donetsk Oblast

In total, during November 22, the occupiers shelled the civilian population of the Donetsk region 15 times.

On November 22, russian weapons killed two residents of the Donetsk Oblast.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,778 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,327. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

The russian occupiers raid schools and intimidate children, threatening them for “disrespecting” russian symbols and “inadmissible posts” on social media. Despite this, there is a great demand for learning the Ukrainian language in the temporarily occupied territory, and school principals have been ordered to persuade parents to withdraw their applications for learning the Ukrainian language.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion 

In the Lysychansk direction, a house was destroyed in Zvanivka, and an infrastructure facility in Siversk was damaged. Torske of the Lyman community was shelled five times.

Five more mobile shelters were installed in Druzhkivka. Each of them is designed for 20 people.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk direction, one person was injured in Avdiivka. Berdychi was fired upon in the Ocheretyne community.

The occupiers began the third wave of active assaults in the Avdiivka direction. The city is attacked from different directions, shifting forces from one to another. So far, the defenders have recorded two facts of the use of RBK-500 cluster bombs by the russians.

On November 22, Ukrainian defenders repelled 30 assaults by russian occupiers in the Avdiivka direction.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

One person was killed in the Horlivka direction in the North of the Toretsk community. A shop and a house were damaged. Five houses and an infrastructure object were damaged in Toretsk. In the Chasiv Yar community, one person died, seven private houses and an industrial building were damaged.

Luhansk Oblast

The occupiers are confiscating the “Skhidvuhillia” (Eastern Coal) mines in the temporarily occupied Luhansk Oblast, which were cut off a month ago due to electricity debts and continued to operate on generators.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast 

In the afternoon of November 22, russian troops struck the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community with artillery, and on November 23 at night — along the coastline of the Kutsurub community.

Around midnight, the russian army launched a missile strike outside the population center of Voznesensk Raion. There are no casualties or injuries.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Yesterday, the occupiers made 127 attacks on 22 towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. 23 reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities. Civilians of the Oblast were not injured.

The number of damaged houses as a result of the russian attack on November 21 doubled from 32 to 60. Currently, ten of them have had their roofs repaired, and part of the windows have been covered with OSB plates.

As a result of russian shelling, an animal shelter in Zaporizhzhia was damaged. 60 cats that were there ran away, one cat was injured.

In the temporarily occupied Melitopol of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, russian soldiers stop and search cars with Ukrainian license plates.

Three russian FPV drones were landed by border guards in the Zaporizhzhia direction with the help of an anti-drone gun.

In Zaporizhzhia there is a shooting training center “Pershyi”. Military, police and civilians are trained here every day, in particular, in the handling of various types of weapons and assault operations. All classes are free.

Odesa Oblast

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed an ex-policeman who passed on information about the bases and movements of the Defense Forces in the Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts to the russian federal bureau of investigations. The man was informed of the suspicion and a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention.

The Executive Committee of the Odesa City Council has decided to introduce additional rates for security guards for shelters and Points of Invincibility located in city educational institutions. Today, the educational institutions of the city have more than 150 shelters and storage facilities, 80 Points of Invincibility.

Kherson Oblast

The russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 65 times during the day. Shells hit residential quarters, factories, an educational institution, a medical institution, and a store in Kherson. One person died, another was injured.

At night, the russian army shelled Kherson. A 45-year-old man was injured. He has a mine-explosive injury and a contusion. His apartment was damaged during the shelling.

This afternoon, the russian army shelled the suburbs of Kherson. A 51-year-old woman was injured. She was hospitalized with an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound on her leg.

The army of the russian federation attacked a cyclist from a drone in Beryslav of theKherson Oblast. A 70-year-old man died from his injuries.

On November 23, the russian military attacked the village of Chornobaivka with cluster munitions. Currently, three dead and four wounded are known. Residential buildings and farm buildings were damaged.

To date, 13 more children remain in the coastal settlements of the Beryslav Raion, where mandatory evacuation has been announced. The most of them are remaining in Beryslav. There are six. 271 children were evacuated together with their parents.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of November 23, russian troops directed a missile at an infrastructure object in the Kryvyi Rih Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. They also beat the Chervonogrigorivka community in the Nikopol Raion.

Due to an accident in the power system, some houses in the residential areas of Topol and Peremoha in Dnipro were left without electricity. Specialists are already working on restoring the power supply.

Kirovohrad Oblast

The Novomyrhorod District Court found the head of the permanent military medical commission of the Novoukrainianka Territorial Center of Recruitment and Social Support guilty of forging documents. The court fined the woman UAH 34,000 and deprived her of the right to hold positions in military medical commissions for one year.

Poltava Oblast

Three fallen soldiers from the Poltava Oblast were awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree. Vladyslav Solomko was the commander of the 1st mortar battery department. He died in June 2023. From June 2021, Oleksii Khanilevych served under a contract in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The soldier’s life ended while performing a combat mission in February 2023 near Kreminna. Serhii Kharlamov worked at the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant before the start of the full-scale war. The defender died last year in the Bakhmut Raion.

Vinnytsia Oblast

A 330 kV overhead line was damaged in the Vinnytsia Oblast due to the fall of the drone debris. The line does not require emergency repairs.

A military-patriotic event “Airsoft. The way of a warrior” was held in Vinnytsia for young people. 30 participants aged 18 to 35 learned to provide first aid, “stormed” an old building and did “cleaning”.

Lviv Oblast

Bukovyna rescuers returned from performing tasks in the Donetsk and Kherson oblasts. During the period of the mission, pyrotechnicians discovered and neutralized 98 explosive objects.

The Vyzhnytsia community received a minibus within the framework of the UN Program for Reconstruction and Peacebuilding. The car will be used to create a Mobile Social Service. It will serve single elderly people and disabled persons living in remote settlements of the community.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

Larysa Stefanyshyn, the mother of a fallen soldier, was elected to the Council of Families of the Fallen under the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, reconstructive surgeons from Canada, the USA and Ukraine operated on the wounded 46-year-old soldier Serhii Shpank. His facial functions and symmetry were restored.

Fighters of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss”, which is stationed in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, collect gifts for St. Nicholas Day for children from the front-line areas.

This year, instead of the central New Year tree, a symbolic one will be installed on the Vichevyi Maidan in Ivano-Frankivsk. Like last year, it will be created from children’s drawings.

Zakarpattia Oblast
