Northern oblasts
Kyiv
A new kindergarten with a shelter will be built in the Obolonskyi district. Currently, the old building is being dismantled at site: the work is scheduled to be completed by the end of November. Later, the kindergarten will be built on the site of the dismantled building.
The Kyiv City Council voted to name the Protasiv Yar nature reserve after Roman Ratushnyi.
Kyiv activist Roman Ratushnyi was killed in action in the Kharkiv Oblast. He was the head of the Protect Protasiv Yar NGO and a scout with the 93rd Detached Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar”.
Kyiv Oblast
Part of Bucha was left without power due to bad weather. Repair work is underway.
The Kyiv Oblast received more than 767 thousand energy-efficient light bulbs from benefactors. They will be distributed among schools and hospitals of the oblast. They will also be delivered to people who need them most.
Zhytomyr Oblast
War veteran Valeriy Taturevych became the first in the Zhytomyr Oblast to take part in an experimental government project to provide free vocational training for combatants and people with war-related disabilities. The Employment Service currently operates 8 vocational education centers in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Poltava, Odesa, Lviv, Rivne, Sumy, and Ivano-Frankivsk.
Chernihiv Oblast
On November 23, russian troops shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast with tube artillery, unguided aerial missiles, and mortars from their territory. The Semenivka and Snovsk communities came under fire.
Sumy Oblast
At night and in the morning, the russian army conducted 5 mortar attacks. 21 explosions were recorded. The Krasnopillia and Yunakivka communities were shelled. Two residential buildings were damaged. Over the past day, russian troops shelled the territory of the oblast. 91 hits were registered.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
On November 23, the russian army shelled at least 14 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast. Oleksandrivka in the Bohodukhiv Raion was attacked by russian drones.
Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, Kurylivka, and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv Oblast were subjected to russian airstrikes.
In the Kupiansk sector, russians launched three assaults in the area of Synkivka with the support of aviation. All attacks were repulsed.
Donetsk Oblast
One person was wounded in the Donetsk Oblast as a result of shelling.
Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,778 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,328. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
The russian military began using nighttime kamikaze drones in the Donetsk sector. The russian army launches missile attacks on Ukrainian positions, also firing artillery, mortars, MLRS, and actively using aviation.
On November 23, Ukrainian fighters repelled 45 attacks by russian troops in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka sectors.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
In the Lysychansk sector, one person was wounded in Pereizne of the Zvanivka community. A house in Serebrianka of the Siversk community was damaged. The village of Kolodiazi, Lyman community, was shelled 11 times.
Kramatorsk will celebrate the New Year without the main Christmas tree. However, the city authorities and benefactors will provide gifts for local children. Festive events will also take place online.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
In the Donetsk sector, Novomykhailivka, Maksymilianivka, and Heorhiivka were shelled in the Maryinka community. In the Kurakhove community, enterprises in Kurakhove and Kurakhivka were damaged, and Hostre was shelled.
An apartment building and a kindergarten were destroyed in Avdiivka after the city was subjected to 5 shelling attacks.
The russian military started to use a different tactic in the Avdiivka sector, in particular, they launched an offensive from the fourth direction – from Donetsk. Currently, 1,350 residents of Avdiivka still remain in the city.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
The russian army dropped an aerial bomb on Toretsk, and also shelled the city with artillery, damaging 9 private houses and a car.
In the Horlivka sector, 15 houses in Toretsk and 2 non-residential buildings in the Chasiv Yar community were damaged.
Mariupol
In the occupied Sartana of the Mariupol Raion, all men were issued summonses to the russian military commander. Summonses were issued even to men who returned from evacuation and to those who do not have russian passports.
Southern oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast
The troops of the russian federation carried out artillery strikes on the village of Dmytrivka of the Kutsurub community and the water area of the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties or injuries.
On the night of November 23, the air defense forces destroyed one russian drone “Shahed-131/136” in the Mykolaiv Oblast.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
There were 109 strikes on 22 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. russian military personnel attacked communities in the line of fire. There were five reports of the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities. There were no casualties.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the russian military conducted unsuccessful assaults in the west of Verbove.
Odesa Oblast
During the day, the russian army made two strikes in the direction of the navigation corridor in the Black Sea, using four unknown air weapons, probably sea bottom mines.
A woman from Odessa will be tried for treason: for money, she passed on information about the presence of military personnel in Odessa and Mykolaiv to the russian special services. According to the investigation, the special services were also interested in information on military facilities and units of the Armed Forces, humanitarian support and energy infrastructure.
Kherson Oblast
The russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 119 times in the past day. It hit residential quarters. Three people died, 11, including two children, were injured.
On the night of November 24, anti-aircraft fighters of the Kherson brigade of the “South” air command shot down a russian attack drone “Shahed-136/131” in the Mykolaiv Oblast.
In the morning, the russian army dropped explosives from a drone on a resident of Beryslav in the Kherson Oblast. The injured man was hospitalized with a blast injury, a leg injury and a broken arm.
In the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka of the Kherson Oblast, a monument to the victims of the Holodomor was demolished.
The Security Service of Ukraine detained a deputy of one of the village councils of the Kherson Oblast. He informed the russian military the whereabouts of members of the resistance movement and their families en masse. For this he received a “position” in the occupation administration. He faces life imprisonment.
The Kherson Oblast is one of the most mined ones in Ukraine. At the time of liberation, its entire right-bank part was considered potentially mined. That is about 600,000 hectares. Currently, sappers are clearing the territory meter by meter.
Central oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
On the night of November 24, the russian army fought twice in the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Artillery shelled the Myrove and Marganets communities. There are no casualties or injuries.
Kirovohrad Oblast
A modern molecular genetics laboratory will be created in the Kirovohrad Oblast at the Scientific Research Expert Forensic Center of the Main Directorate of the National Police. There are ten such modern analytical bases in the country. The regional center will have the 11th. It will help to obtain accurate data about the dead as soon as possible.
In the village of Tsybuleve, Natalia Gubal, the mother of a fallen serviceman, has a memorial stele for her son and his brothers erected with her own funds.
The exhibition “Theatre. Soul of Mariupol” opened in Kropyvnytskyi. It was presented at the Museum of Art together with the YaMariupol Support Center for Immigrants. 128 works of local photographers were prepared for the exhibition. The photos reveal part of the history of the theater from its cultural flourishing to the period of shelling and bombing during the war.
Cherkasy Oblast
The Uman community handed over unmanned aerial vehicles and means of communication to the military. Unmanned aircraft complexes “Pegasus” with a carrying capacity of 12 kg were purchased with the funds of the city budget. They can work both as reconnaissance and combat. Radio stations, Starlink satellite systems were also bought for defenders.
The Department of Social Policy of the Cherkasy City Council announced a competition for projects developed by public organizations of war veterans and persons with disabilities. Financial support from the budget will be provided for their implementation.
Vinnytsia Oblast
At the regular session of the Vinnytsia City Council on November 24, deputies adopted a number of decisions related to supporting the army, financing the “Veteran’s Assistant” project, and strengthening international ties.
The resident of Vinnytsia was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. He helped prepare missile attacks on Vinnytsia. The 30-year-old man pleaded not guilty.
Western Oblasts
Lviv Oblast
A practical seminar for soldiers with serious injuries was held in the Lviv Oblast. Such training was initiated for the third time for defenders undergoing rehabilitation at the Complex Rehabilitation Center “Halychyna”. Speakers talked about where to start, where to move and what are the prospects of work in the agricultural sector for veterans.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Air defense worked in the Khmelnytskyi Raion during the air alert. Local services did not receive information about casualties, property damage, or fires caused by falling fragments of enemy attack UAVs.
Kamianets-Podilskyi
The coordinators of the AUI “Active Community” as part of the Council of Volunteers and IDPs organized the Day of Active Donation on one of the city’s central streets. Slavko Poliatynchuk provided his books for the charity fair, which he gave to those willing for a donation to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Council of Volunteers and IDPs decided at its meeting that 50% of the collected funds will go to drones, 50% to medicines.
Chernivtsi Oblast
The President of Ukraine, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi presented the 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade with a combat flag. The 82nd brigade, stationed in Chernivtsi, earned the banner in tough battles with the russian invaders.
Special stoves are made in Kitzman. They don’t smoke on the front line. Stoves work on diesel or as ordinary “burzhuikas” on firewood. The scheme and the basis are made by the employees of the housing and communal services department. Stoves are sent to the front to receive feedback and wishes from the military, and then manufacturers improve production.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
In the village of Utoropy, the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, representatives of the national liberation movement “Right Sector of Prykarpattia” together with local residents demolished a monument to a soviet soldier.
More than 100 families of soldiers killed in the russian-Ukrainian war gathered in the village of Vovchynets of the Ivano-Frankivsk community to create a square in memory of the heroes. A total of 163 red oaks were planted on the initiative of the organization “Families of fallen defenders of Ivano-Frankivsk”.
