Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

Work to eliminate the consequences of yesterday’s russian attack is still ongoing in Ukraine. Almost 120 towns and villages were affected. In the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital, rescuers found another body under the rubble. The number of people killed in the russian attack has increased to 16. The search and rescue operation continues. The first of January will be declared a day of mourning in the capital

On December 29, a russian missile destroyed the warehouse of the manufacturer of construction tools “Dnipro-M” in Kyiv. A product repair service center was also located there. Two workers were injured.

The Patron Dog charity stamp continues to collect donations. One and a half million hryvnias, collected from the sale of stamps in 2023, were transferred to shelters and centers for the protection, rehabilitation and rehousing of animals in Kyiv and the region.

Kyiv Oblast

During the russian’s missile attack on December 29, the National Guard soldiers managed to shoot down a cruise missile flying towards Kyiv with machine guns. The bullets pierced the fuel tanks, the missile went off course and fell without detonating the warhead. 

By the end of 2023, more than 16,500 objects destroyed by the war had been restored in the Kyiv Oblast. 15,000 of them are multi-apartment and private houses. They also rebuilt 198 schools and kindergartens, 109 medical facilities, 76 administrative buildings and community centers. In 2024, the reconstruction process will continue.

The repaired Hostomel highway was opened to traffic in Irpin. There, the construction of the roadway, sidewalk and bike path was completed. Improvement works will continue.

In Brovary, the “Caritas-Kyiv” charitable foundation organized the distribution of humanitarian kits for displaced persons from Luhansk Oblast. 141 families from among the vulnerable categories of displaced persons received food and bedding.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In Zhytomyr, the first 8 drones produced by developers on the local platform “Zhytomyr Drone” were shown. All drones have been protested and will be handed over to the military.

From December 30 to January 1, 30 road guards will be on duty at night on the international highways of Zhytomyr Oblast: they will monitor the situation in case of worsening weather.

Chernihiv Oblast

With FPV drones, guns, mortars and artillery, russian troops shelled the border communities of Semenivka and Snovske yesterday.

In Ichna, a charity boxing tournament was held among children and more than 20,000 hryvnias were collected for the needs of the Armed Forces.

Sumy Oblast

During yesterday’s day, russian troops carried out 20 shellings of the Sumy Oblast. Eight communities came under fire from the territory of russia.

At night and in the morning, the russian military carried out 3 shellings of the Sumy Oblast, 13 explosions were recorded. Three communities were shelled.

As a result of hostilities in Sumy Oblast, 54 settlements, that is more than 2,200 consumers, have been cut off from electricity.

From the evening until close to midnight, buses bring Ukrainians returning from the territories occupied by russia to the “Atmosfera” aid station in Sumy every day. The checkpoint with the russia, which operates in Sumy Oblast, is located in the village of Pokrovka. In total, volunteers here provided assistance to 17,000 Ukrainians who returned from the occupation.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Synkivka, Ivanivka, Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, Berestovka were hit by airstrikes in the Kupyansk direction. The Armed Forces repulsed seven russian attacks near Synkivka, which remains the “hottest spot” in the Kupyansk direction. Here, the russians use several tactics for assaults, in particular, they throw a group of up to 10 people into the attack, and when they are destroyed, they send a new one.

Russian troops fired artillery at the central hospital in the border town of Vovchansk on the night of December 29. Fortunately, there were no patients in the facility’s buildings. The premises of the temporary infectious disease department suffered the greatest destruction, the windows of the hospital building were damaged by the blast wave. The dispensary of the general practice of family medicine was also partially damaged.

On the morning of December 30, the russians shelled Kozacha Lopan — no damage or injuries were recorded. During December 29, russia shelled Vovchansk twice – a damaged house. In total, more than 15 settlements of Kharkiv Oblast were attacked by the russian army during the day.

Eight people remain in Kharkiv hospital who were injured on December 29 as a result of russian rocket attacks on the city. Two of them are in serious condition.

“Dragon’s teeth” are installed in the border of Bogoduhiv raion of Kharkiv Oblast. This is one of a series of defensive barriers, which also consist of an anti-tank ditch, a minefield and barbed wire.

From January 15, a kindergarten will start working in the metro in Kharkiv. More than 600 children enrolled in the institution.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, russia carried out 22 attacks on the civilian population, shelling 11 localities. The enemy fired with S-300 missiles, guided aerial bombs, “Uragan” MLRS, and artillery. 28 civilian objects were damaged.

Five people were wounded in Donetsk Oblast as a result of russian shelling on the morning of December 30. Nine more settlements in Donetsk Oblast are without electricity due to the weather, and 121 settlements in the region are without power due to the fighting, four of them are partially cut off. A ”Food train” has arrived in Donetsk Oblast to prepare and distribute eight thousand meals to residents of frontline towns.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

On December 29, the russian military shelled the Kurakhove community in Donetsk Oblast twice in one day. A critical infrastructure facility and an apartment building were damaged. Preliminary, no one was injured or killed.

Russians shelled Krasnohorivka with artillery. Three residents were injured and at least four private homes were damaged.

The occupants struck a massive blow at Avdiivka, wounding a man. An apartment building, a private house, and infrastructure were destroyed.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited Avdiivka yesterday. He visited the positions of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Marko Bezruchko, which is one of the most difficult areas of the front. He discussed the defense situation and basic needs with the commander. He honored the best soldiers with state awards and presented the “Golden Star” of the Hero of Ukraine to Junior Sergeant Ihor Tymoshchuk.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

One civilian was injured in Toretsk. The occupation forces shot at private houses.

Mariupol

Russian occupants are building defensive structures and fortifications around Mariupol along the border of the district. They brought in a large amount of wood to build dugouts.

Luhansk Oblast

Soldiers of the 150th motorized rifle division of the russian army refused to participate in the fighting. We are talking about 43 soldiers in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast, who were sent to russia under the convoy of military police officers.

This year, the Luhansk regional and local administrations spent 458 million hryvnias to help the armed forces.

Half a billion has been allocated in the regional and city budgets to support IDPs from Luhansk Oblast in 2024, with total expenditures expected to exceed one billion. Next year, in 2024, the construction of housing for IDPs from Luhansk Oblast is planned to begin in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration and Lviv Regional State Administration.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

On December 29, russian troops attacked the territory of Mykolaiv Raion. As a result of the shelling, private houses were damaged. No one was injured or killed. In addition, during the day, air defense forces shot down one russian army Shahed-131/136 attack drone over Mykolaiv Oblast.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian army in Mykolaiv Oblast, sappers have neutralized over 21,000 pieces of ammunition by controlled explosions.

In Mykolaiv, a peaceful action was held to remind the families of prisoners of war and missing persons.

In Mykolaiv, entrepreneurs and volunteers produce products with patriotic symbols. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of “Mykolaiv is a Hero City” merchandise are donated to the needs of the Ukrainian military.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, russian troops struck 196 times in 22 localities.

There were 116 reports of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure.

According to updated data, on December 29, the russian army struck Zaporizhzhia with ”Zyrcon” and ”X-101” missiles. One of them hit the private sector, destroying two residential buildings. Others hit infrastructure and open areas. As of today, nine people have been killed and 13 wounded.

This afternoon, the enemy shelled the residential area of Stepnohirsk with multiple rocket launchers once again.

This attack claimed the life of a 43-year-old local resident. Today the dead man celebrated his birthday.

Odesa Oblast

In Odesa, at the site of the missile strike, utility workers and local residents clean up the consequences of the attack. People are allowed to pick up their personal belongings one by one. We will remind you that on the morning of December 29, the russian army attacked the city with rockets. One of them hit a high-rise residential complex and exploded inside, as a result of which three people died there.

As a result of the russian attack on Odesa on December 29, 32 people were injured, five of them died, and 12 people remain in medical facilities for treatment. Among them are two children (6 and 8 years old).

46 houses were destroyed, including four private ones. 186 apartments were damaged. Six people were granted temporary shelter.

Due to russian shelling on December 29, almost 300 customers in Odesa remained without electricity.

Kherson Oblast

The russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 108 times yesterday. They targeted the humanitarian headquarters in Beryslav raion, a critical infrastructure facility, a hostel and an elevator maintenance organization in Kherson. Five people were injured.

On the night of December 29-30, air defense forces shot down two “Shahed” type attack drones of the russian army over the Kherson Oblast. The southern drone attack lasted almost four hours.

After a nighttime russian attack by “Shahed” type drones in Kherson, an administrative building, a passenger car, farm buildings and a garage were on fire. There are no casualties or injuries. Another garage fire broke out in one of the settlements of Daryivka community.

In the morning, the russian army struck Mykhailivka in the Kherson Oblast. At least 20 hits were recorded in the center of the village. The school, administration building and shop were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

Russian troops shelled Antonivka near Kherson. A man who was in the yard of the house died.

Due to shelling of the railway station in Kherson, security measures for passengers will be strengthened. In particular, they will plan and coordinate routes, as well as special passages that will be used by passengers when moving around the station.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

December 30 was declared a Day of Mourning in Dnipro for those killed in massive rocket fire. The day before, the russian army attacked Dnipro with missiles. In particular, they hit a shopping center and a maternity hospital. Six people died, 30 were injured.

Residents of Dnipro, who lost relatives due to a missile strike on the city on December 29, can receive 300,000 hryvnias in aid. Money is allocated from the Oblast budget.

For the second year, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is living in conditions of full-scale war. During 2023, the russian army shelled the region more than 1,900 times. More than 100 people died, more than 600 were injured.

This afternoon, air defense forces shot down an Kh-59 missile in the sky over the Dnipro district.

Kirovohrad Oblast

That night, air defense destroyed 5 enemy “shaheeds” in the sky above the Oblast.

On New Year’s Eve, December 30 and 31, order will be maintained in Kirovohrad Oblast by about 600 territorial police units, patrol and security police departments, special purpose police companies, and military personnel of the National Guard.

Cherkasy Oblast

As of this morning, in Smila, which was hit by a rocket yesterday, 22 residents of damaged houses have submitted applications for restoration.

A dog was pulled out from under the rubble in Smila. He is alive and unharmed, although he has been there for almost a day. 

A grenade exploded near garages in Cherkasy. As a result of the explosion, garages and two cars were damaged. The bomber was detained.

Vinnytsia Oblast

In the Vinnytsia Lyceum No. 18, the museum “War. I saw it” was opened, which was arranged on one of the floors of the school. Most of the presented exhibits and flags are gifts from the military.

Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

As of the morning of December 30, 17 out of 18 buildings damaged by a missile strike in Lviv have been restored to heat, electricity, gas and water supply.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

On the night of December 30, during an alarm in Khmelnytskyi, the air defense forces neutralized two UAVs of the “Shahed” type. There was no information about the injured or the destruction.

Residents of one of the villages of Khmelnytskyi are eliminating the consequences of the missile strike that took place yesterday, December 29. As a result of the work of the Air Defense Forces in several communities of the Oblast, more than ten private houses, a kindergarten, a cultural center, a library, and the starosta`s place were damaged by the blast wave.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Residents of the Kamianets-Podilskyi community handed over charging stations and necessary equipment to the military to ensure air defense of the Oblast in the amount of 296,716 hryvnias.

Another military unit received a pickup truck, a quadcopter, technical equipment, field stoves and chainsaws for a total of 847,510 hryvnias.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

Volunteers from Kalush, in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, have been making camouflage nets, kikimoras, clothes and other necessary items for the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the second year. Volunteers of “Youth” are helped by representatives of other volunteer communities.

Ternopil Oblast

The All-Ukrainian temple-pantheon was consecrated in Lishna, Kremenets raion, in memory of the soldiers who died in the russian-Ukrainian war. The service was led by Metropolitan Epiphany, head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
