He fought as a senior combat medic, saved more than a dozen lives of his combat brothers-in-arms. He died in Donetsk oblast, during a combat engagement with the enemy. Dmytro Kolesnikov mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defended Ukraine. He died defending one of the inhabited localties on the eastern borders of Ukraine.
The battalion of the Zhytomyr Air Assault Brigade received the award “For Courage and Bravery”. On November 17, 2022, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi awarded the military units of the Air Assault Forces. In particular, the 13th separate air assault battalion named after the Hero of Ukraine Colonel Taras Seniuk of the Zhytomyr 95th Brigade received the award. On its Facebook page, the 95th Air Assault Brigade states: “This award confirms the state’s recognition of the valor of our legendary unit, the sweat and blood shed by paratroopers and the sacrifice of the fallen Heroes.”

Today we managed to reconnect 112 subscribers to the backup power lines. Another 530 subscribers – residents of the Semenivka community remain without electricity supply after the russian shelling on November 17. These are residents of five villages: Arkhipivka, Leonivka, Kosobobriv, Zelena Roshcha, and Serhiivske.
Yesterday, they said goodbye to soldier Serhiy Zhabinsky and senior soldier Anton Krasevych in Chernihiv oblast.
This week, the Defense Council of the Chernihiv oblast instructed regional military administrations and local authorities to turn on the lighting of pedestrian crossings and ensure the operation of traffic lights in the dark before the curfew. Currently, the number of accidents on the roads of the region in the dark has significantly increased. Especially many accidents occur in Chernihiv, Nizhyn and Pryluky between 16 and 20 hours. Therefore, the decision of the Defence Council will make the situation on the roads safer.
Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, and Mykhailo Ilnytskyi, Chairman of the Board of JSC “Chernihivoblenergo”, met with Chernihiv residents to discuss the schedules of power outages. The residents of different neighborhoods of Chernihiv came to Chernihiv Regional Power Company, because according to them, they are without electricity supply for up to 20 hours a day.
Sumy Oblast
The russian troops made seven attacks on the border of Sumy oblast during the day. They used grenade launchers, mortars and artillery.
Also after 21.30, the russian military opened artillery fire on the border of the Znob-Novhorod community. There were 9 hits.
In Sumy oblast, the fire depot damaged by russians in March was restored. Currently, almost 60 window blocks have been replaced and about 3 thousand square meters of the roof have been repaired. More than UAH 5 million from the reserve fund of the State Budget was used.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
The occupants struck at the critical infrastructure of the region during the day. The gas industry equipment was damaged in Izium raion. During the liquidation of the consequences 8 people were injured – workers and policemen, all of them are being treated as outpatients after medical examination and assistance.
In addition, the russian troops struck at inhabited localities located near the frontline: Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Izium raions.
In the village of Kamianka, Izium raion, a 60-year-old man was hit on an explosive device, and received an explosive injury. He was hospitalized.
Pyrotechnic units continue to eliminate mines, during the day they destroyed 219 explosive devices.
In the liberated territories of Kharkiv oblast, vaccination stations are resuming their work. It is again possible to get vaccinated against coronavirus in the liberated Izium, Balakliia, as well as in the Vovchansk and Pechenihy communities.

On November 17, russians killed 1 civilian in Donetsk oblast – in Bakhmut. Another 4 people were injured in the region.
Since February 24, russians have killed 1214 civilians in Donetsk oblast, wounded 2608 more. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Bakhmut

Kramatorsk

In Vilniansk, around 4 p.m., emergency rescue work was completed on the ruins of a house hit by enemy rockets on the night of November 17. It is known about 10 dead, of which 3 are children.
Reports of russian military terror against the population of the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast continue to arrive.
Kherson Oblast
In the Kherson Oblast, the russian military shelled the settlements of Kachkarivka, Mykhailivka, Osokorivka, as well as Antonivka, Zelenivka, Mykolaivka, Kherson and Chornobayivka with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. As a result of the attack on the city, one person died.

Due to the lack of light, the people of Kherson are forced to cook food on bonfires. Street kitchens in the first Tavriysky microdistrict in Kherson in every yard. At the entrance, people heat water for morning coffee and prepare lunches.
More than 500 tons of humanitarian goods – water, food products, medicines, generators, etc. – were delivered to the Kherson Oblast, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk said. Ukrtelecom has started the restoration of its infrastructure in the Kherson Oblast. Currently, many residents of private old buildings use stove heating. Therefore, they remind us about safety and rules when using it at home, namely: do not allow stoves to overheat. Make sure that there are no cracks in the walls of furnaces and chimneys. Clean the chimneys. Do not use flammable liquids to ignite furnaces. Do not dry or stack clothes, firewood, other combustible objects and materials on stoves. It is forbidden to use an open flame to light the room. It is safer and more efficient to use electric lights for this purpose.

Dnipro Oblast
At night, the enemy shelled Nikopol several times. In total, he fired more than 40 shells. In Nikopol, the russian occupation army damaged several high-rise and private buildings. Economic buildings and power lines were mutilated. Shells also hit the solar substation. And also – a garage cooperative. There was a fire. 6 garages, several cars, a motorcycle and a moped were beaten. One 20-year-old boy was injured in the shelling.
In Dnipro, as a result of yesterday’s attack, more than 10 high-rise buildings, a school and a college in one of the raions were damaged. The contact network of the city electric transport is mutilated. In another raion of the city, a private enterprise was damaged. 3 buildings, 9 cars and 3 trailers were destroyed on its territory. Two residential buildings nearby were destroyed.
Kirovohrad Oblast

The war with an insidious enemy takes the lives of defenders from Kirovohrad Oblast. The communities of the region report the death of our soldiers.
The community of Oleksandriya again received sad news about the loss of our compatriot – 28-year-old Dmytro Cherepenko. Since 2016, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defended the Motherland in the fight against the invaders. As a result of artillery shelling on the front line in the Donetsk Oblast, Dmytro was seriously wounded. Unfortunately, on the 17th of November, our defender’s heart stopped in a military hospital. The deceased is survived by his parents and a sister.
Another tragic news for the Company community of Kropyvnytsk raion has been confirmed. Shcherbina Anatoly, a resident of the village Dolynivka died in the war with the russian invaders. Yt also took part in an anti-terrorist operation. Together with his wife, he raised a daughter.
On the 12th of November, Liga Rostislav, a resident of Novy Starodub village of Oleksandriya district, died after receiving life-threatening injuries while performing a combat mission to protect the Motherland in Kherson Oblast.
The Onufryivka community of the Oleksandriya raion reported that defender, soldier, anti-aircraft gunner Dmytro Khomenko died on the 7th of November in the area of the settlement of Bilogorivka, Luhansk Oblast, while defending Ukrainian land from russian invaders.
Anatoliy Stoyan, the regional coordinator of the Active Community, worked in the city’s humanitarian center, helping citizens receive food packages and warm things.
Poltava Oblast
Defender Andrii Kalinichenko will say goodbye in Kremenchuk. Andriy Kalinichenko died on the 14th of November. He was a driver-electrician of the artillery division and was called up for military service on mobilization on the 27th of February.
Vyacheslav Pachenko from the city of Lubny died. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces. His last birthday was on the 21st of February. Vyacheslav was only 42 years old. Died as a result of artillery shelling in Kharkiv Oblast on the 17th of June.
Two more soldiers from the Poltava Oblast died defending Ukraine. Andrii Kalinichenko was mobilized to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the 27th of February. At the front, the man was an electric driver, he died on the 14th of November. Farewell to the soldier will take place tomorrow in Kremenchuk. Artem Medvedev from Poltava died in battle in Mykolaiv Oblast on the 18th of August. The 31-year-old soldier was a grenade launcher.
In Poltava, widows and mothers of fallen soldiers were given their posthumous awards. Dmytro Kaplin, Anatolii Dergai, Denyas Palia, Yuriy Khymych were posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree by the decree of the President of Ukraine. Awards were presented to the relatives and friends of the Heroes.
The Regional Defense Council decided that starting on the 19th of November, curfew in the region will last from 11:00 p.m. to 05:00 a.m.
The use of festive illumination is prohibited in the territory of the Poltava Oblast. We are talking about garlands and other light decorations. This applies to commercial, communal and state facilities, streets, squares, parks, Christmas trees and private properties.
The Poltava city council plans to spend 90-120 million hryvnias of free remaining funds in the city budget on military bonds to support the army. These are securities issued by the state during martial law to support the economy of Ukraine and the Armed Forces.

One of the issues that was discussed is the renaming of Brest lane in honor of the battalion commander from the Kastus Kalynovsky regiment, Ivan Marchuk “Brest”.

After the beginning of the full-scale war, Khmelnytsk was designated as a donor region for Kherson Oblast. Today, from the main square of the regional center, 8 units of large-sized transport and 4 more cars left for Kherson Oblast, carrying construction materials, drinking water, clothes, hygiene products, and food products. Entrepreneurs of the region, volunteers, heads of communities and Raion Military Administration, philanthropists joined the collection of aid. “We are in constant contact with the leadership of the Kherson Oblast and listen to their needs. The other day, the region formed and sent 9 wagons of food kits for the needs of the Kherson Oblast. Today we are sending another batch,” said Serhiy Gamalii, head of the Oblast Military Administration.
Lunch for forced migrants and impoverished citizens is prepared at the “Hesed Besht” charitable foundation. Every Friday, about 40 portions of food are distributed in the premises of the foundation and delivered to homes.
In Khmelnytsky, online courses on learning the Ukrainian language have been launched once again. Anyone can join and deepen their knowledge of the state language. Since September, sappers have examined more than 72 hectares of territory, where they have discovered and destroyed more than 900 munitions.
Today, several busses left, filled with grocery sets, potatoes, carrots, cabbage and other vegetables, as well as burzuykas (oven). This help was collected by the residents of the Klesiv community and the Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Rivne Oblast. Humanitarian aid goes to the city of Kherson itself, as well as to the villages of Chornobayivka, Antonivka, Posad-Pokrovsky and other liberated settlements.
Yesterday, the team of the all-Ukrainian initiative “Active Community” held a screening of the documentary theater play “Taste of Life” in the city of Rivne. Six stories of people who found refuge in Rivne after the 24th of February, as well as people who have been living in the city for a long time, how their lives and values have changed.
