Northern Oblasts
Kyiv
Explosions rang out again this morning in the Desniansky district of Kyiv. There are enemy missile hits on two critical infrastructure objects, because of this there are interruptions in the supply of electricity in the Kyiv Oblast. It is known about 3 dead people, they are employees of one of the critical infrastructure facilities. It is also known about one injured person who was helped on the spot. Firefighters eliminated 2 centers of fire.
On the left bank of Kyiv, due to the russian attack on critical infrastructure facilities, there is currently no electricity and water, so people are standing in lines for drinking water.
Yesterday, as a result of a kamikaze drone hitting a residential building, a pregnant girl, who was an employee of the Goodwine company, died. Also, the body of another deceased resident – an elderly woman – was retrieved from under the rubble of the building. In total, about 5 dead. Residents of the same building will be provided with shelter and financial assistance, as it is impossible to restore the building.
Yesterday evening, Ukrainians gathered near the Iranian embassy in Kyiv. The participants accuse the country of supporting terrorism and killing Ukrainians. Several dozen people took part in the action. They demanded an end to the selling of Shahed-136 kamikaze drones to russia.

The rescuers of the Obukhiv raion administration conducted a comprehensive inspection of houses in the village of Borodani in order to prevent the occurrence of fires. They also urged citizens not to burn dry grass in order not to provoke fires in ecosystems.
“From ideas to actions”: 6 best projects of the training course were chosen in Bohuslav, which will now be implemented in the community. For two months, the participants attended lectures and training, worked on their ideas in teams and looked for ways to implement them. The winning projects cover educational, touristic, cultural spheres, provide assistance to internally displaced persons, etc. The training course “From ideas to action” was supported by the European Endowment for Democracy (EED) within the framework of the “Quiet Harbor” initiative.
In Bohuslav, active preparation for the regional debate tournament with the participation of students of Bohuslav Academic Lyceum No. 1 has begun. Today, the coordinator of “Active Community” held a meeting with potential participants of the tournament, spoke with the leadership of the educational institution to discuss the details of the debates, their format and form teams.
Zhytomyr Oblast
Today, russian troops shelled an energy infrastructure facility in Zhytomyr, as a result of which 11 settlements in the Oblast were left without electricity. According to preliminary information, there are two wounded. Emergency units of the State Emergency Service and the Energy Department are working at the scene of the impact. Specialists are currently carrying out emergency reconnection from backup power sources.
Hero Andriy Vlasenko is back on the shield. The junior sergeant was born and lived in Zhytomyr. With the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the russian federation in Ukraine, he became a serviceman of one of the brigades of the Air Assault Forces. Yesterday, not far from the border with russia, the occupiers launched a copter to drop an explosive device on the territory of the Semenivka community. The border guards of the Chernihiv Oblast landed the drone with a shot from a small-arms weapon. The surviving ammunition fell with him.
Yesterday, russian troops fired in the Senkivka area. Observers recorded 7 hits, probably from a 120 mm mortar. The house on Tykha Street, which was directly hit by a missile during the shelling of the city by russian troops, has been restored. The roof was badly damaged here. Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Today at around 8:30 in the morning, the enemy launched 8 rockets at Kharkiv from the russian city of belgorod. Profile services carry out surveys, in particular in the Novobavarsky, Osnovyansky and Slobidsky districts. It is known that one missile was shot down by anti-aircraft defense in Kharkiv in the Zhykhor area. Debris of the downed rocket was found in an open area near private houses.
During the past day, the russian occupiers fired with tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery at settlements located near the contact line and the border with the russian federation in the Kupyansk, Kharkiv and Chuguyiv raions.
During the day, a 64-year-old man was hospitalized with injuries in the Kupyansk raion. Also, 2 men aged 74 and 67, who were injured earlier, turned to the doctor in Kupyansk and Chuguyiv raions yesterday.
In the village of Cherkassy Tyshki, investigators found the bodies of three people who died during the occupation. This is the couple who died on March 19 during russian shelling. They were buried on the territory of the household.
They also found a headless body lying on the road in the village. All the bodies were sent for examinations.
The number of people killed as a result of the shelling of a civilian vehicle convoy near the village of Kurylivka, Kupyansk raion on September 25 has increased to 26 people. One and a half kilometers from the scene, the body of a 19-year-old boy was found. After the shooting of the vehicle convoy, the wounded man walked about 1.5 kilometers and died in the landing. The body of the deceased was sent for a forensic medical examination.
In total, more than 600 bodies of those killed during the occupation were exhumed on the territory of the Kharkiv Oblast. The prosecutor’s office has identified four russian servicemen who, according to the investigation, are involved in the torture of ATO participants at the “Svitlo Shakhtarya” recreation center in the Kharkiv Oblast.
A resident of Balaklia is suspected of collaborationism. According to the investigation, he took a position in the occupation administration and helped spread russian propaganda in the occupied Kharkiv Oblast. Donetsk Oblast
The russians were most active that night in the Donetsk and Horlivka areas.

On October 17, the russians killed 6 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast: 3 in Bakhmut, 2 in the village of Kostyantynivka, 1 in Orlivka. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, russian missiles have killed 1,034 civilians in Donetsk Oblast, and another 2,423 people have been injured.
It is still impossible to calculate the number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
As of the 8th of October, the bodies of five children were exhumed in Lyman. All of them died from shrapnel wounds as a result of shelling by the russian army.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
In the east of Pokrovsk Raion, Kurakhove came under fire. Houses in the private sector and an infrastructure facility were damaged. In the morning, the russians also shelled Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka of the Maryinsk community and Avdiivka – there are currently no casualties there.

Yesterday, the russian invaders shelled the civilian infrastructure of 25 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The occupiers used S-300 missile complexes, artillery and MLRS against the civilians. As a result of shelling in the village of Tavriyske, a teenager was injured. He was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. Enemy fire damaged the premises of a kindergarten in the village of Uspenivka, Polohy Raion. Early in the morning, the russian military launched 6 rocket attacks on Zaporizhzhia. With the help of the “Shahed-136” kamikaze drone, infrastructure objects were hit, which caused a fire. The rocket hit a warehouse in one of the Raions of Zaporizhzhia. No one was injured, expensive warehouse equipment was damaged.
The Mayor of Melitopol reported that S-300 missile systems were delivered to Melitopol from Dzhankoi of the temporarily occupied Crimea. Also, white trucks carrying Iranian kamikaze drones regularly pass through the city, accompanied by a convoy.
The occupiers once again kidnapped the workers of the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Kherson Oblast
The russian army struck 35 populated areas with cruise, aviation and anti-aircraft guided missiles. Including Nova Kamianka and Biloghirka of the Kherson Oblast.
In the Kherson Oblast, due to the lack of volunteers, the occupation authorities are offering prisoners to join the so-called “Margelov battalion”.

Volunteers from Kherson provided 8,500 soldiers of the Armed Forces with uniforms. There is a volunteer center.

Mykolayiv Oblast
At night, from the 17th to 18th of October, the enemy attacked Mykolaiv Oblast with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. Four drones were shot down by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and means of anti-aircraft defense of the “Southern” air command, one more by soldiers of the local Territorial Defense Units .
At night, Mykolaiv was subjected to enemy rocket fire by S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. As a result of the shelling, a two-story residential building was destroyed. The rescuers retrieved the man’s body from under the rubble. At present, the emergency and rescue operations have been completed.
Also, in the Central district of the city, multi-story residential buildings, a square and nearby shopping pavilions were damaged.
After the night shelling, the city was left without electricity, as of 06:20 in the morning, the electricity supply was restored.
Tonight, critical infrastructure was damaged as a result of an enemy attack on the territory of the Olshan community. There are no casualties.
At night, the russians shelled the Kutsurub community along the coast with heavy artillery.
Yesterday, villages located on the demarcation line of the Berezneguvate community came under enemy fire. There are no casualties.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Residents of the Pryyutivka community purchased a DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo quadcopter for aerial scouts, most of the money for which was raised by the village council team. The price of the “bird” is 115,000 hryvnias. Due to its technical characteristics, the drone is suitable for reconnaissance. In addition, it is equipped with a thermal imager for night photography and a camera capable of transmitting images at a distance of up to 15 kilometers. Employees of communal institutions, enterprises, business representatives and community residents joined the fundraising.
The famous showman and volunteer Serhii Prytula visited the positions of one of the divisions of the 121st separate local territorial defense brigade in the Kirovohrad Oblast. He handed over a car and a drone to the military for the successful execution of combat missions.

In Poltava, a saboteur who made signs and stabbed two people with a knife during detention was sentenced to 6 years in prison. The perpetrator turned out to be a native of Poltava who, in his own words, “has some mental disorders”. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed.
In the village of Petrivtsi (Myrhorod Raion), a memorial plaque was dedicated to Junior Sergeant Hennadiy Makuha. Lviv Oblast
Another 147 people arrived in Lviv from the epicenters of hostilities on two evacuation trains. 550 people went to Przemyśl (Poland) from Lviv Oblast. 17,129 people left Ukraine through checkpoints in the Lviv Oblast. 17,058 Ukrainians registered for entry.
Another 11 cars and 20 drones went from the Lviv Oblast to the Ukrainian defenders on the front line. This was achieved thanks to the fruitful cooperation between specialists of the Lviv Oblast Department of Forestry and Hunting and their colleagues from Poland. All cars are equipped with products and medicines. Drones can fly at a distance of up to 5 kilometers and see a thermal centimeter target up to 80 meters away, and a larger target up to 2 kilometers through the wide-format matrix of the thermal imager. The cost of one drone is PLN 40,000. Foresters of the Lviv Oblast have already handed over 122 cars to Ukrainian defenders.
To strengthen the “medical front line”, Drohobych community sent two ambulances to the front together with the “KOLO” Charitable Foundation. Before being sent, cars will be equipped with medical equipment to perform the most important function – saving the lives of military and civilians.
A mobile medical team from the Sheptytskyi Hospital works in Lviv Oblast. The medical tents were deployed in Ivano-Frankivsk and Mostyshche communities on the initiative of the heads of the Lviv Oblast Military Administration and the Yavoriv Raion Military Administration. Here, doctors will provide free medical services to internally displaced persons and local residents.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
In Ivano-Frankivsk, the logistics center for the delivery of parcels to the military at the front line continues to work. This week, cargo was collected for soldiers serving in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia areas.
Rivne Oblast
Residents of Gremyach headmen county (Ostroh community) started making trench candles for the Ukrainian military. The residents of the Rokytne community collected humanitarian aid for the front line. Vegetables, fruits, stew, sweets, hygiene kits and thermal underwear were sent to the military in the Sumy Oblast.
In the Rivne Oblast Center of National-Patriotic Education, Tourism and Local Lore, students create keychains from the downed russian drone “Orlan”, which was exchanged with volunteers. To make one product, the drone is cut into pieces. Souvenirs are distributed to those who bring socks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Today in Khmelnytskyi, the last respects were paid to 45-year-old military serviceman Anatoliy Sikorskyi from Khmelnytskyi. He died in March in the Kyiv Oblast. In 2014, Anatoly Sikorskyi joined the volunteer battalion. Subsequently, he served under a contract, was a member of the ATO/OOS [Anti-Terrorist Operation/Joint Forces Operation]. The Hero was buried at the cemetery in the Leznevo neighborhood.

Servicemen of the 93rd separate Territorial Defense battalion of Vyzhnytsia Raion received awards from the raion council, Vyzhnytsia and Vashkivtsi communities. Humanitarian cargo was also delivered to them. In addition, the Berehomet community donated a generator for the battalion, and the Vyzhnytsia community donated office equipment and stationery.
Servicemen of the 107th separate Territorial Defense brigade participated in the blood donation. It is necessary for wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilians who were injured as a result of enemy shelling. Doctors urge citizens not to be indifferent and also to participate in donating blood.
In Chernivtsi, the “YaMariupol”assistance center for internally displaced persons was opened. It offers humanitarian aid and psychological support. The center also provides medical and psychological, legal, social and employment assistance. There is even a playroom for children. Today, such centers are already operating in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kalush, Odesa, Lviv, Kryvyi Rih and Ternopil.
