In total, it was possible to collect almost 10 thousand hryvnias. The evening began with the holding of the fair.

Chernihiv Oblast

On February 20, the russians shelled two communities on the border of Chernihiv Oblast — Horodnya and Snovsk. The military recorded three hits, probably from self-propelled guns, in the area of ​​the Yeline village of the Snovsk community. There are also 17 hits, probably from the SAU, in the area of ​​the village of Senkivka.

Today, several detonations of explosive objects were carried out near the village of Shestovytsia.

Sumy Oblast

During February 19, the russians shelled 5 communities of Sumy Oblast. Mortar attacks were recorded in Myropil, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Nova Sloboda and Yunakivka communities. There are no damages and no injured people.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

The enemy continues to terrorize the civilian population of the border towns and villages of Kharkiv Oblast. During the past day, the enemy shelled at least 11 border settlements of Kupyansk, Chuguyiv and Kharkiv raions.

Today, around 5:00 in the morning, the enemy shelled the Kupyansk raion. In Kupyansk, shelling damaged the building of a medical facility, a civil industry facility, a 9-story apartment building, private houses, a garage, farm buildings, and monuments in the cemetery. 

A private residential building was destroyed in the village of Novoosynove. According to preliminary data, a woman may be under the rubble. Rescuers are working on the spot. In the village of Kurylivka, the buildings of an agricultural enterprise were damaged by shelling. There was a large-scale fire. In the village of Dvorichna, the buildings of the fire and rescue department were damaged. And in Kruglyakivka, a 40-year-old civilian was wounded as a result of enemy shelling.

In addition, in the morning the enemy shelled the village of Strilecha, Kharkiv raion. 2 civilians were injured. The woman was hospitalized, the man received medical assistance on the spot.

As a result of shelling of the village of Lyptsi, Kharkiv raion, private residential buildings were damaged. Two women aged 50 and 32 were injured.

A 45-year-old woman was injured by shrapnel in Vovchansk, Chuguyiv raion. She received medical assistance on the spot.

Donetsk Oblast

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdyivka and Shakhtarske directions.

On the Avdiyivka and Shakhtarske directions, the occupiers shelled the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Vesele, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maryinka, Pobyeda, Novomykhailivka, Vugledar, Bogoyavlenka, Shakhtarske, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, and Neskuchne in the Donetsk Oblast. .

One person died and two were injured in the village of Ivanopillia of the Kostiantynivka community as a result of shelling of the village by the russian occupation army.

In addition, today, during the day, the rashists launched artillery strikes on Toretsk, the village of Novy Komar was shelled from Grad MLRS, and Avdiyivka was hit with artillery and rockets.

Residential buildings, a school, the “Punkt Nezlamnosti [Point of Invincibility]”, cars, shops, a coffee shop and premises of industrial enterprises were damaged by the fire of the occupiers.
Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of Hryanykivka settlements of the Kharkiv Oblast; Bilogorivka, Luhansk Oblast; Vasyukivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut and Ivanivske of the Donetsk Oblast.

The day before, the russians launched 3 missile strikes in Oblast: in Kramatorsk, an industrial enterprise was damaged, in Yasnohirka – the territory of a car service and an adjacent 3-story building, in Kleban-Byk – the territory of a former mine.

2 people died in the Horlivka direction: in Bakhmut and Bohdanivka of the Chasiv Yar community. In the Kostyantynivka community, a house in Kostyantynivka and 3 houses in Ivanopillia were damaged. In the Soledar community, 2 houses were damaged in Fedorivka, in the Toretsk community, 4 houses and 1 infrastructure object were damaged.

In the Lysychansk direction, it was loud in Siversk and Serebryantsa – without victims.

On February 19, the russians killed 3 residents of Donetsk Oblast: in Bakhmut, Bohdanivka, and Avdiivka. 1 more person in the Oblast was injured.

Since February 24, the russians have killed 1,378 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,070. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the east of Pokrovsk raion, 1 person died in Avdiivka. The city was hit by 2 anti-aircraft missiles, 2 artillery shells, shelling from “Hrad” and tank shelling.

In Mariinka community, 1 house was destroyed and 1 was damaged in Krasnohorivka, a house was damaged in Zoryany. 1 house was damaged in Kurakhivka.

The managers of Pokrovsk City Military Administration met with representatives of the NGO “Prolisok”. During the meeting, those present discussed the urgent needs of the community. They focused on setting up points of invincibility and simpler community shelters. The head of the office of the “Prolisok” humanitarian mission in Dnipro, Olena Nebeska, emphasized that the employees of “Prolisok” will continue to come to the Pokrovsk community and help the local population both in eliminating the consequences of shelling with construction materials and in providing all the necessary compact accommodation places for forcibly displaced people .
In order to honor the memory of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity, the coordinators of the Uman social center “Avdiivka. Free people. So it was, so it will be.” together with colleagues from the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Uman City Council organized an event at which they told the children of internally displaced persons in an accessible form about the Heroes of the “Heavenly Hundred” [Nebesna sotnya] and noted that the Heroes turned into angels and as long as we remember and talk about them, until they will live in our memory.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

Southern Oblast

Zaporizhzhya Oblast

Every day, russian terrorist troops shell peaceful villages and towns in the Zaporizhzhya Oblast. For example, during the past day, the occupiers carried out 146 shellings, 15 settlements were damaged.

In the afternoon of February 20, the enemy attacked the suburbs of Zaporizhzhya. Information about the destruction and victims is currently being clarified.

Outdoor lighting is being restored in Zaporizhzhya. Starting today, the city’s street lights will turn on at sunset and until 11 p.m. (that is, before the curfew begins). This decision was taken by the Defense Council of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Energodar (Zaporizhzhya NPP)

The russians are blocking the rotation of IAEA experts at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP. The occupiers, together with rosatom representatives, continue to turn the Zaporizhzhya NPP into a military base. On the roof of the fifth power unit, they set up a machine-gun position, and also placed roadblocks at all entrances to the clear flyovers, through which personnel from the special corps get directly to the power units.

At the same time, a new batch of military personnel – more than 600 mobilized and cadets from russia – arrived at the Zaporizhzhya NPP. They were placed in the bomb shelter of the plant for non-standard equipment (NSO), where they are waiting to be transferred to the Donetsk section of the front.

In addition, the russians continue to erect fortifications and build military structures around the plant’s power units and its dry spent nuclear fuel storage facility (DSSF). Such actions of the russians are categorically unacceptable and violate all existing norms of nuclear and radiation safety, comments “Energoatom”.

Mykolayiv Oblast

Yesterday, February 19, a private house and farm buildings were damaged as a result of russian artillery shelling of the Kutsurub community. The residents of the house received minor injuries.

Also, in the evening of February 19, the water area and port infrastructure of the Ochakiv community were under artillery fire. There are no casualties.

Odesa Oblast

The situation is tense, but under control. There is still a danger of rocket attacks.

On February 20, 2023, in Odesa, flowers were laid at the memorial sign to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred [Nebesna sotnya] in the park of the same name on Shevchenko Avenue. The ceremony was attended by military personnel, representatives of authorities, and the public. The State Flag of Ukraine is flown at half-mast on buildings in the city in memory of the victims.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

With heavy artillery, the occupiers pounded the communities of Nikopol, Marganets , and Myrivka. A 70-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman were injured as a result of shelling in the Marganets community. Both were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. Currently, the woman is at home and will be treated on an outpatient basis. The second injured person is in serious condition, he is in the hospital. In one of the villages of the community, a fire broke out in a residential building due to an enemy attack, the fire was promptly extinguished. As a result of the shelling, an economic building was destroyed, another one was damaged. 2 cars and a motorcycle were destroyed. In addition, 9 private residential buildings were mutilated.

There is also destruction in the Myrivka community. The occupiers destroyed an outbuilding and a tractor. 4 residential buildings, gas furnaces, and power lines were gutted by shelling. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Almost 360 subscribers were left without electricity, and currently the electricity supply has been partially restored.

Enemy heavy artillery hit the Velikomykhailivka community. A power line was damaged there.

In the Donetsk Oblast, 47-year-old senior sergeant Andrii Kuyan from Kamianskoye and 30-year-old Ruslan Varava from Synelnikovo were killed in the fighting. Eternal glory to the Heroes!

An electronic petition has appeared on awarding the title of Hero of Ukraine posthumously to Pavlo Vedmidy from Dnipro. Pavlo Vedmid, a 32-year-old power-felting coach from Dnipro, served in “Skala” – an intelligence battalion of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces. The soldier died under enemy fire. He is survived by his wife, world bench press champion Oksana Vedmid. So far, the petition has collected 4,984 votes.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the city authorities of Nikopol have been actively helping the defenders of Ukraine and military units. At this time, with the assistance of the mayor and deputies of the city council, 17 pieces of equipment were handed over to the military, including: 5 minibuses, 7 SUVs, 3 passenger cars, 1 excavator and 1 trailer. Also, generators, power banks, food and other things necessary for their work were regularly handed over to the military.

The archaeological exhibition “Dnipro Stonehenge – the saved past” was held in Dnipro. Thousand-year-old jugs, ancient weapons and even mammoth bones – some of these things were found during road construction. The exposition is charitable. It was possible to collect more than 20 thousand hryvnias to help the Armed Forces. An exhibition was held at the Highway Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

A flash mob was held in Dnipro on the occasion of the Day of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. Fifty representatives of the active youth of Dnipro took part in the flash mob. They all gathered near the “Ball of Wishes” to honor the memory of those who died during the Revolution of Dignity, as well as all those who gave their lives for the independence of Ukraine.

Poltava Oblast

A session meeting is approaching to rename the first 73 Poltava streets. The community has gone through this process per the requirements of the law. In addition, the city authorities have recognized all the stages of renaming the first phase of streets in Poltava as legitimate. When the deputies vote on renaming the first streets, they should take into account that there are no reasons to press the “against” button on February 22.

A resident of Poltava oblast who fraternized with the russian military during the occupation of his village has been sentenced. Roman Cheperys is from Yalta. The man justified the armed aggression of the russian army against Ukrainians and called the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Nazis” and fascists. The man also personally communicated with the occupiers when they occupied part of the Hadiach raion and the village of Martynivka. On March 30, after the liberation of this territory of Poltava oblast, the man was detained. On February 14, he was sentenced to 1 year and 1 month in prison. However, the court decided to count the period that the detainee was in custody as part of this term, so now he has just over 2 months left to serve.

The rector of a church in the Poltava region was banned by the Moscow Patriarchate from holding services because he had transferred to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The day before, the religious community of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Biletskivka decided to withdraw from the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate together with the rector. The UOC called such actions “falling into schism” and banned Archpriest Ihor Mosienko from the priesthood. Instead, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine accepted the community as an autonomous religious organization and appointed him rector of the church.

Kirovohrad Oblast

There was a threat of a missile attack on settlements and critical infrastructure in Kirovohrad oblast.

Soldiers of the 121st Brigade of the Kirovohrad Territorial Defense are performing combat missions near Bakhmut, Donetsk oblast.

According to the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, Tatiana Bosko was awarded the badge “For Assistance to the Army”. The Foundation operates in Pancheve, Novomyrhorod city community of Novoukrainskyi raion, and actively helps IDPs and the military.

Yevhen Zahorodniuk, who died at the front, was laid to rest in Hayvoron of Holovanivskyi raion. Yevhen was born on July 1, 1985 in Haivoron. He worked at the Haivoron locomotive repair plant. The man was called up to the army in October 2022. The combat medic of the reconnaissance platoon was killed near the village of Pavlivka in Sumy oblast. Eternal memory to the defender of Ukraine!

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

In Khmelnytsky, the consequences of Saturday’s rocket attack continue to be repaired. For the third day in a row, utility workers have been replacing broken windows in the neighborhood where two rockets fell on February 18. About two dozen high-rise buildings, three educational institutions, commercial facilities, and cars were damaged. Two people were injured – a man and a woman. They received medical care and are currently undergoing outpatient treatment.

An all-Ukrainian charity tournament was held in Khmelnytsky to commemorate the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. Veteran athletes and internally displaced persons took to the volleyball court. The proceeds from the tournament were used to support our defenders.

Also, more than three hundred wrestlers competed and raised funds for a quadcopter for the unit in which Khmelnytskyi residents serve. One of them is Oleksii Khamskyi, a freestyle wrestling coach and director of the city’s Balu Physical Culture and Sports Center. It was he who launched the open interregional tournament in 2019.

More than 100 thousand hryvnias have already been raised in Khmelnytskyi for the Art Bird for the military. Artists of the academic municipal brass band also joined this initiative. During a concert last Friday, they raised over 14 thousand hryvnias. These funds will be used to purchase a drone and two antenna amplifiers for our military.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna laid to rest a hero who laid down his life for the freedom of Ukraine: the funeral service for soldier Serhiy Cheban took place in the village of Dnistrivka.

A memorial stele to the fallen comrades, soldiers Mykhailo Yazhuk, Mykola Horban, Maksym Kravets, and Andriy Bozhek, was unveiled at the military unit of the National Guard of Ukraine in Chernivtsi. 
A photo exhibition “Revolution of Dignity in Kyiv and Chernivtsi” was presented at the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration. The attendees honored the memory and prayed for Vasyl Aksenyn and Oleksandr Shcherbaniuk, the Bukovinians who died on the Maidan, the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, and all those who have fallen in the brutal russian-Ukrainian war that has been going on for nine years. 
Social institutions in Bukovyna received humanitarian aid – 200 sets of bed linen, 600 blankets, and pillows from Save the Children. 
The residents of Dovzhok village in the Novoselytsia community raised money for a car for a fellow soldier who is participating in fierce battles. The car was purchased by Dorin Rozloha, Oleksandr Nerutsak, and Viktor Dudka. The vehicle, food packages, and warm clothes for the soldiers were delivered to their destination. 

Zakarpattia Oblast

A “weekend school” for IDPs and local students is open in the Uzhhorod Public Library
