Northern Oblasts
Kyiv
A resident of the capital found artillery shells from the Second World War when he was walking his dog. The event happened today in the Pechersk district. Specialists confirmed that the objects found were 76 mm and 105 mm caliber artillery shells. Explosive technicians removed the findings and destroyed them at the blast site.
An exhibition of works of art “Kherson Oblast is Ukraine” opened at the Artist’s House in Kyiv with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund. The exposition includes more than 60 works by more than 20 artists from all over the country.
Kyiv Oblast
Architect Cristian Wittig from Chile is helping with the rebuilding of Irpin. Together with the team, he developed proposals for a memorial to civilian victims and the reconstruction of the city library.
At one of the main entrances to Irpin – at the beginning of Universitetska Street, near the Irpin Water Canal – a memorial stele “Irpin – Hero City” will be installed.

13-year-old Veronika Gruzytska from Novohuyvinsk, Zhytomyr Oblast, cut off and sold 57 centimeters of her hair. The girl gave the money, 6,500 hryvnias, to volunteers who will use it to purchase thermal clothing for the military.
Chernihiv Oblast
On the 26th of December, the russians fired mortars at the border of the Novgorod-Siverskyi community in Chernihiv Oblast. Border guards recorded three explosions.
Today, a controlled detonation of explosive objects was carried out near the crossing on the Desna River.
Sumy Oblast
During the day of the 26th of December, the russian military shelled the communities of Seredina-Buda, Esman’ and Bilopillya. In all cases without victims and destruction.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
The territories of the Kharkiv Oblast adjacent to the border with russia and the contact line continue to suffer from enemy shelling. The Kupyansk raion suffers the most. Settlements of the Kharkiv and Chuguyiv raion also came under enemy fire last day.
As a result of enemy shelling, residential buildings were damaged and fires broke out in the villages of Dvorichna and Kupyansk-Vuzlovy of the Kupyansk raion. Fortunately, no one was hurt despite all the enemy’s efforts to inflict more damage.
A house in which no one lives is being prepared for renovation on Severna Saltivka in Kharkiv – it came under russian fire on the first day of the full-scale invasion.
Demining of de-occupied areas of the region continues. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service neutralized 43 explosive objects.
Donetsk Oblast
On the 26th of December, it became known about 2 civilians in Donetsk Oblast, wounded by russians: in Velyka Novosilka and Ivanovsky.
In total, since the 24th of February, the russians have killed 1,281 civilians of Donetsk Oblast and wounded another 2,796. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovas is currently unknown.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
On the Donetsk side, Ostrivske of the Kurakhove community came under fire at night – a cultural institution, a shop and 5 private houses were damaged. In the morning, the russians shelled Avdiivka from “Hrad”— no casualties, we are establishing the extent of the destruction.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
In the Lysychansk direction, shelling was recorded on the outskirts of the Siversk community, and there were also attacks in the Torsk and Zarichne areas of the Liman community. No casualties.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
In the Horlivska direction, 1 person was injured in Ivanivskyi of the Bakhmut community. A shop was damaged in Bakhmut, and a garage was damaged in Chasovoy Yar.
Luhansk Oblast
Heavy fighting is taking place near Kreminna, the occupiers are withdrawing a huge amount of reserves and equipment there and dying there by the hundreds. If Krminna is lost, the entire line of defense of the russians in the Luhansk Oblast will be breached.
Southern Oblasts
Mykolayiv Oblast
Yesterday, the enemy carried out artillery strikes on the water area of the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.
In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka districts, the day and night passed relatively calmly.
Children’s bodies were exhumed for the first time in the de-occupied territory of the Mykolaiv Oblast. The cause of death was mine-explosive injuries as a result of shelling by russian troops in the village of Novopetrivka in the Shirokine community.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Yesterday, as a result of a missile strike on the village of Lezhyno, a school, and a small library were destroyed. The library building is important for the local people because it was built before the Second World War. International partners confirmed the possibility of restoring the destruction through lawsuits using the resources of the russian federation.
In total, the enemy struck 590 times during the week, destroying almost hundred and fifty objects, including energy infrastructure facilities. Some of them require long-term repairs.
In the temporarily occupied city of Tokmak in Zaporizhzhia oblast, russian military, together with local collaborators, has intensified administrative and police measures.
The National Resistance Center reports that the occupiers are preparing the removal (so-called “evacuation”) of residents of the temporarily occupied Enerhodar to Crimea. For this purpose, russian occupation authorities instructed the henchmen who manage the Zaporizhzhia NPP to prepare buses. Residents of Enerhodar are planned to be taken to Dzhankoi.
The situation with medicine is extremely difficult in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast. In fact, russian invaders have deprived local residents of the last opportunity to receive quality medical care. First, occupiers took all hospitals in the temporarily occupied territories for the wounded russian military. Then they closed the exit to Zaporizhzhia, where the residents were going for treatment. Currently, the nearest hospitals that provide qualified assistance are in Crimea. However, the possibilities for civilians from other occupied territories to receive it are severely limited, as assistance is provided only if they have russian medical insurance. It can be obtained only with a russian passport. In the absence of insurance, sky-high prices in dollars are announced.
On December 25, our soldiers struck at the concentration of russian occupants near Novobilozerka, Vasyliv raion in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy lost up to 100 soldiers killed and wounded. Among them are 15 employees of the russian federal security service.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Last night russian occupation troops shelled Nikopol raion five times with MLRS “Grad” and heavy artillery. 40 enemy shells landed in three communities – Nikopol, Chervonohryhorivka, and Marhanets.
Several private houses and several outbuildings were damaged in Nikopol. A power line was damaged. In the Chervonohryhorivka community, russian shells damaged six private houses, two gas pipelines, and the power grid. Greenhouses and a shop were also hit.
Tymofii Vzhyk, a Cossack from Kryvyi Rih of the Ingulets palanka, was killed in the war. Vitaliy Pelikhai, killed in battle, will pay his last respects in Lozuvata. A medic Igor Dubovyk from Zhovti Vody died near Bakhmut. A man wounded in a rocket attack on a residential building in Kryvyi Rih died in hospital.
An agent of the russian federation, who reported data on the location of strategic objects, will be tried in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
Volunteers of the CF “Right to Life” visited Kherson oblast with a humanitarian mission. For 4 days, the representatives of the Foundation traveled about 1000 km. Thanks to the humanitarian mission, one thousand families were able to receive assistance, which was brought by a 10-ton truck. Special attention was paid to 80 people with disabilities. Also, the CF “Right to Life” delivered 200 kg of food for dogs and cats to Kherson oblast, of which there are more than 90 only in those 6 coordinators with whom volunteers cooperate.
Due to scheduled power cuts in Dnipro, more than 30 houses are without heating. Some streets of the right and left banks are without water.
Monuments to soviet test pilot Valery Chkalov and russian writer Maxim Horky were dismantled in Dnipro.
In Kryvyi Rih 70 thousand IDPs have been officially registered. Up to 2.5 thousand IDPs were sheltered by the Petrykivka community in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. People live there in communal institutions, private estates, and even in the century-old museum houses of the Cossack ethno-hutor.
In the frontline Zelenodolsk community of Kryvyi Rih raion, New Year’s events for children are held. Before the full-scale invasion, about 400 children came to the Palace of Culture to celebrate the “New Year tree”. Now they were divided into groups.
Children from Nikopol attended the New Year’s performance of the Dnipropetrovsk Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre “Beauty and the Beast” in the city of Pokrov. The holiday was organized by the Nikopol City Council for children from privileged categories.
Cherkasy Oblast
Three servicemen from Cherkasy oblast were posthumously awarded the insignia of the President of Ukraine. They were awarded medals “for personal courage during the performance of combat missions, selfless actions displayed in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath”. The awards were received by the relatives of the fallen warriors.
Residents of Donetsk oblast who need free housing can evacuate to Cherkasy oblast. One can leave by train. In addition to housing, people are provided with social assistance and psychological support in Cherkasy oblast.
A charity concert entitled “15 Friends of Bobrov” was held in Cherkasy. It was initiated by Cherkasy actor, singer, and volunteer Serhiy Bobrov. Poltava Oblast
In the battles near Bakhmut, one of the developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Volodymyr Yezhov from Poltava oblast was killed. He was born in 1984 in Lubny. He was the commander of an aerial reconnaissance unit of the 23rd Special Forces battalion. He had the call sign “Vus”. The hero was killed on December 22 in Donetsk oblast.
Oleksandr Kostyriev from the village of Chutove was killed in the russian-ukrainian war. The warrior was killed in a battle with russian invaders.
Today, exactly half a year has passed since the terrible tragedy that occurred as a result of the enemy russian missile hitting the shopping center “Amstor” in Kremenchuk. On that ‘black’ Monday on June 27, at about 15:50, a terrorist act carried out by the armed forces of the russian federation, according to official data, claimed the lives of 22 innocent citizens, injured many, and damaged the homes of neighboring residents.
In Poltava, housing is being built for people who lost it because of the war. This is done by the participants of the camp of one of the largest volunteer movements “Building Ukraine Together”. Volunteers have been rebuilding homes destroyed by the war and creating opportunities for young people across Ukraine since 2014.
Western Oblasts
Rivne Oblast
In Rivne, Andriy Yaroshyk – defender of Ukraine, whose life was cut short in the Bakhmut raion of Donetsk Oblast, at the moment when he was saving his brothers as a medic, was laid to rest in Rivne.
The Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship sent 10 generators to the Rivne Oblast for «Punkty Nezlamnosti [Points of Invincibility]», military and social institutions. One ton of various products also arrived: 976 ready-made dishes and soups, 500 fast soups, 1448 pieces of other dishes, coffee, tea, 900 chocolates and holiday bars. In addition, 100 sets of thermal clothing, warm sleeping bags, and 120 thermoses were sent to the soldiers.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Kamianets-Podilskyi
The deputies of the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council decided to pay 10,000 hryvnias to wounded soldiers. Another 15 soldiers will receive it. And in just one year, it was given to 46 people. 6 minor children of dead combatants will receive 25,000 hryvnias each from the community budget.
Several other important programs were approved. They include the purchase of office equipment according to NATO standards, installation of software, installation of gas stations and video surveillance systems, lighting, repair work, stock of fuel and lubricants, transportation of military personnel, etc. The total amount of program financing is more than 27 million hryvnias.
Chernivtsi Oblast
Mobile medical teams will work in Selyatyn, Konyatyn and Ust-Putil communities of Vyzhnytsia raion. The project is implemented by the Chernivtsi Oblast organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine. The goal of the initiative is to assist primary health care facilities in providing access to patients in remote areas. Mobile brigades will also provide assistance to vulnerable sections of the population who have suffered from military operations and have difficulty accessing diagnosis and treatment of diseases of a general therapeutic profile.
143 trench candles were made in the Dolynyany gymnasium in the Nedoboyivtsi community. This is the second batch that will soon be sent to our soldiers on the front lines.
«Active Community of Chernivtsi» contributed to the provision of a dishwasher to a shelter on the basis of the oblast center of social and psychological assistance, which currently houses 237 displaced persons.
