Ukraine in brief:
The 61st day of the heroic opposition of the Ukrainian people to the russian military invasion continues.
Russia continues to conduct full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. There have been no significant changes in the situation in northern Ukraine. No signs of enemy offensive formations were found.
The partial blockade of Kharkiv, the destruction of its infrastructure, and the defeat of the positions of the defenders of the Kharkiv Oblast with the use of aircraft and artillery continue. In the area of the city of Izyum, the enemy tried to improve the tactical situation in the directions Andriyivka – Zavody and Dibrovne – Kurulka. Also, they carry out measures of logistical support for the group of occupiers.
In the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, the enemy, intensifying shelling with available means of fire destruction, tried to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Koroviy Yar and Rubizhne. In Mariupol, the enemy continues to destroy the city, blocking locals and some of our defenders in the area of the Azovstal plant.
The russian army planned to develop an offensive in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. They failed and suffered losses.
In the Mykolayiv Oblast, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on the Kherson-Mykolayiv and Kherson-Kryvyi Rih directions. Conducts regrouping of troops, consolidates on the ground, strengthens the grouping of barrel and jet artillery, accumulates ammunition.
In the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast, in the urban-type settlement of Velyka Oleksandrivka, the occupiers announced to the local population that it was necessary to leave the settlement by April 28th. The residents who do not comply with the order will be forced to evacuate to russia.
In the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, in the city of Enerhodar, employees of the federal security service of russia continue to carry out filtration activities.
In the temporarily occupied territories of Kharkiv and Luhansk oblasts, the occupiers are engaged in looting, theft, and robbery of the local population. Particular attention is paid to the “removal” of alcoholic beverages and food.

In Chernihiv, local businesses start operating after the blockade. They face understaffing, financial costs, logistics problems, and stolen equipment from the russians. Business owners say they must pay salaries and maintain a budget.
Sumy Oblast
Demining of the territory continues in Sumy Oblast. There is disappointing news: in the village of Nyzhnia Syrovatka, a railway worker exploded on a landmine. As a result of the explosion, a 29-year-old man suffered severe contusions and eye injuries. Trostyanets city authorities do not recommend visiting cemeteries due to mines.

Active Community AUI Regional Coordinator in Kramatorsk has been able to arrange the supply of meals kits to a remote township in the city. The food has been added to personal hygiene kits for two disabled children. Some aid receivers still remembering the horrors of WWII are now forced to relive them again.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
AFU service members repelled the enemy in the raion. The Territorial Defence Forces and law enforcement are patrolling the community territory.
The enemy attempted artillery-supported assaults near Novomykhaylivka and Maryinka, Kurakhovo direction, but saw no success. The invaders used an MRL to shell Avdiyivka. The local by-product coking plant was hit where the third battery in the first coking shop, the Thermal Power Plant, and the by-product recovery shop were damaged.

Mariupol
There still are around 100 thousand residents left in Mariupol. Meanwhile, the russians continue shelling the city. The Azovstal mill is currently sieged.
The invaders upset the attempt to evacuate the residents to safer oblasts of Ukraine yesterday. The russians rather deport Ukraine nationals onto the territory of russia instead. Some 149 individuals, of them 23 children, were taken away yesterday.
Luhansk Oblast
The Easter saw russians in the Luhansk Oblast destroy seven buildings and hit the oil refinery. Russian shellings left the Oblast without power. Besides, most of the population centers in the Oblast have no water supply. The evacuation goes on: it has been possible to evacuate some 73 Oblast residents today.
Southern Oblasts
Zaporizhzhya Oblast
The russians persist in their attempts to break through Oblast’s defenses. The invading troops have amassed lots of equipment and personnel on the front line section between Velyka Novosilka, Novodarivka, and Malynivka and tried advancing in the direction of Zaporizhzhya and Huliaypole.
Russian occupation troops increase their control and air-defense systems, fires mortars, artillery, and MRLs along the contact line, and use tactical air force to deal with airstrikes.
The Ukrainian military strongly oppos the enemy and continued looking for important targets to deal the maximum damage to the invaders. The defense forces destroyed two tanks, nine armored vehicles, ten road kinds of transport, and one Orlan-10 UAV on Saturday and Sunday.

The supply included fuel for utility companies, emergency teams, rescuers, chlorine for Teplovodokanal water supply company to treat water, humanitarian aid, and medicines.
Melitopol
Russian invaders on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine introduced measures that limit the rights and freedoms of peaceful residents and, in particular, the release of movement. In Melitopol, the invaders intend to cut the exit to the Crimea to prevent Ukraine residents’ spring ‘ mobilization’ from going awry: many Ukrainian men enter the peninsula in transit to go to Georgia, Poland, or Baltic countries.
Citizens with the pro-Ukrainian position are increasingly reported to non-commissioned officers and building administrators. The occupation authorities have placed the train shed personnel under arrest.

Today there is a general panic in the Oblast. Six missiles were fired at the community’s territory, three of which were shot down by air defense, and three hit the Oblast’s facilities. According to preliminary information (there has been no official confirmation yet), the missiles hit the railway electrical substation (which caused train traffic failure) and the elevator on the outskirts. The place hit by the third missile is unknown, but the locals clearly heard three explosions. Currently, the fires have been extinguished. As a result of the missile attack by russian troops on Zhmerynka and Koziatyn, 5 people were killed and 18 wounded. The mayor of the city urged the people to remain calm and informed them about the work of the relevant services at shelling sites. Repair services are running. There were interruptions in electric power and water supply. People are scared, and there is a lack of sufficient official information, so unverified fake news is actively spread.

Three Ukrainian service members returned home from captivity.
The Active Community, AUI team in Khmelnytskyi is constantly involved in volunteer activities: weaving camouflage nets, working in the headquarters to inform IDPs, and providing consultations. Local active citizens are implementing various initiatives to help both IDPs and residents during the war. For example, the NGO “Laboratory of Cultural Studies” organizes AR/VR development training so that Ukrainians can learn a new profession and work remotely. One local businessman gave Chernivtsi more than 30 sirens.
Ukrainians are a very human nation: they always support each other and take care of animals. A woman from Kharkiv took more than 40 dogs to Bukovyna, saving them from death.
